Lucas glanced at me once more, and laughed as he rushed off which made me blush more in embarrassment.
“Come on, let’s get you freshen up” Duncan said.
He’s trying not to show it, but I can see he’s biting his inner cheek to stop him from laughing -my husband’s so sweet, he’s saving my last piece of dignity.

Duncan’s just finished bathing me, and he’s currently drying my hair to prevent me from catching a cold, he’s extremely careful with me and pampers me a lot these days -lol, perks of being pregnant.
Then something crossed my mind.
“Right, nanny Pamela and I are gonna be visiting your mom’s grave later, can…”
“No” he declined, even before I could even finish my words.
I frowned slightly.
“You don’t even know what I wanna say”
“You wanna ask for my permission, which I’m gonna be giving to you” he said.
Is he a mind-reader or something?
“Please, we’re not going alone, Fatima’s coming with us and I know Fatima will surely bring some bodyguards along” I rolled my eyeballs while saying the last part.
“It’s still a no!” he refused firmly.
“Come on, your mom don’t know me, because I haven’t visited her since we’ve been together and…”
“It’s too dangerous to visit her at the moment” I frowned. “Wait until I’ve found out who the real murderer is, and I’ll take you there myself” he said.
My frown deepened at his words.
“When’s that gonna be?”
“Soon”
I scoffed loudly, and grumpily snatched my dryer from him, then dumped it on the dressing table and stormed towards our bed.
“My son’s so unfortunate, he won’t get to visit his grandma before his arrival into this chaotic world, because his dad’s so heartless” I scoffed again.
“You don’t understand why I… ”
“I don’t wanna understand, I just wanna visit my mother-in-law, is that too much to ask?”
He stared at me for a moment, he wanted to say something which I know is not gonna be in line with my demand, but he stopped when I threw him a daring glare.
“Fine” he gritted out as if he’s being forced to speak. “You can visit her, but only if you let me send twenty-five bodyguards”
“What?!” I exclaimed. “That’s too much and…”
“It’s not too much if you want me to let you go, and besides, they’ll stay hidden until there’s a need for them to make an appearance, which I’m hoping is not gonna happen”
Hmm, twenty-five bodyguards? Isn’t that like telling his enemy ‘I’m Duncan’s wife, come and kidnap me?’.
Well, I’m just gonna agree with him so he can let me go, and maybe I’ll send the bodyguards away later -Fatima’s enough for me.
“Fine, I agree” I said.
He frowned.
“That reply came too fast” he narrowed his eyes, and pointed his forefinger at me. “Are you thinking about disposing the bodyguards?” he asked.
I shook my head quickly.
“Nope, I’ll never think of doing that”
We all know that’s a lie.
“Don’t even think of… ”
“Rachel, are you ready?” Nanny Pamela asked from outside our room, interrupting whatever Duncan’s about to say. “We don’t wanna get there at night” she added.
“Coming” I told her, then turned to Duncan. “How many minutes drive is it?” I asked, referring to the distance from our home to the cemetery his mother is buried.
He tilted his head for a while, and twisted his lips as if he’s making some calculations.
“I think it’s two hours drive”
“Huh? Two hours drive?!”
My eyes located the wall clock, it’s already 12pm, which means we’ll get there by 2pm if we set out right now.
I sprang up at once.
“You can go see Ferrari, I can get ready by myself”
“Wait, I…”
“I have no time to waste on you”
Really? No time to waste on him? Isn’t he the one wasting his time to bath, and dress me up?
I crashed my lips on his, giving him a short but lingering kiss.
“The earlier we leave, the earliest we’ll return home” I told him.
Then I dashed towards our closet.
“Fine, just don’t rush your driver and make him drive on a dangerous speed, remember you’re carrying our baby”
“Hm” I hummed.
“I’m being serious here, baby, I won’t spare you if our baby gets hurt” he said which made me roll my eyes.
“I heard you” I answered from the closet.
“I’m leaving, and I love you” then I heard his footsteps heading towards the door.
I rampaged through my clothes but couldn’t find any comfy clothes, every single piece of cloth I have aren’t meant for pregnant woman -BTW, my baby bump is starting to show slightly.
Having nothing to wear, I rampaged Duncan’s clothes and decided to wear one of his t-shirts that stopped at my mid-thigh, making it seem like a short gown on me.
“Rachel, are you still…”
“I’m ready, nanny!” I shouted so she could hear me, hurriedly rushed out of the closet and dashed towards the door.

THIRD PERSON’S pov.
“Alright, I’ll let him know” Lucas said, then hanged up. “Sir?” he tilted his head slightly, towards Mr Baldwin.
“Who was that on the phone?” Mr Baldwin asked.
“It was Mr Ferrari’s PA”
“Is there a change of plans?” he asked again.
“No, sir, he just wanna inform us that Mr Ferrari would arrive a little later than the scheduled time”
“Hm”
“So.. should we turn back, or just go straight to the hotel and wait for him”
“Go to the hotel”
“Yes, sir”

Mr Ferrari sat at the backseat of his Lamborghini, his driver was driving at normal speed, but he suddenly received a text on his phone and he reached for his phone.
Then he turned slightly to Mr Ferrari, but making sure his eyes were still on the road.
“Sir, Duncan’s assistant said we should come to their gang’s base and…” the driver was suddenly interrupted, when a car bumped into theirs from behind.
Mr Ferrari turned back only to see a big truck following them very closely, he narrowed his eyes but realization soon dawned on him.
“Quick, try to get away from the truck” he barked at his driver.
“Yes, sir” his driver replied, but unfortunately, suddenly lost control of the car.
The car’s speed suddenly accelerated, he stepped on the brakes, but they weren’t working and he couldn’t stop the car from going on a high speed.
“What the fuçk is going on?” Mr Ferrari asked.
“I.. I can’t seem to stop the car, sir” the driver replied.
“How come? Didn’t you check the…” he (Mr Ferrari) was cut off by the sound of glass crashing.
“Holy shît!” he exclaimed, the truck hit their car again, and their car drove right into a church building.
The car bumped very hard into one of the two pillars supporting the brick porch, making the porch crash and fell on the car, compressing it together with Mr Ferrari and his driver inside.
A large crowd gathered around immediately the accident happened, some people were calling 911 and others were thinking of ways to pull them out before rescue would come.

Meanwhile, Ms Cara stood afar watching with a satisfied smirk as the accident was happening.
She reached for her phone, and dialed a number. She waited for a few seconds, until someone finally picked up.
“Ms Cara”
“Yes, it’s me. I’ve done my part, now the ball is in your court” then she hanged up, as her smirk grew bigger.
