We corked our guns adjusting the bullet proof we wore. To be honest, I felt happy because I was going to be kicking some a**ses after a very long time.
“All set.” I said and they nodded looking at me.
“Teo please stay behind us. You are still the slowest when it comes to handling the weapon with you. You can’t afford to get shot.” Danny said and I nodded in agreement.
“That hurts but it’s fine. I will stay at the back. I really can’t think of having a bullet Pierce through my skin. It’s giving me goosebumps.” He said and we smiled.
We reached for the door and headed out of the house.
“We stay in an hidden place till we are ready to strike.” Danny said and an idea popped into my mind.
“We could stay in the building some miles away from them. I mean, it’s uncompleted, we could hide there and watch them.” I said and Teo nodded.
“Exactly. I know the house she is talking about. It’s that that far from Nikky’s and it’s high to the top. If we stay in it, we would see the house clearly.” Teo said.
“Then we stay there. We watch through the window making sure we aren’t noticed.” Danny said and we all nodded.
We kept walking, the streets were still quite busy. Of course 11pm Isn’t a late time. We walked in a mellow pace making sure no one noticed our outfits.
We walked in the dark so it was quite easy.
We kept walking until we got to the uncompleted building. We moved into the house bowing our heads and looking around to see if anyone was around.
We had ours guns up,moving it up to our eyes. We were extra vigilant. We got to the room at the right and peeped out of the window.
We looked at Nikky’s house a little lower from where we were. We knelt at the window peeping out of it.
We saw the men still standing at the door and all around the house.
“Don’t they sleep?” Teo asked in a whisper.
“It’s obvious they don’t. And maybe they do, they switch turns.” I said and Danny kept his eyes on the building. I guess he was lost in thoughts.
I turned my head to look at the house again and I saw there were no lights on in the living room. The inner part was dark, and only one bulb provided light in the outside.
This light was dull so am sure people couldn’t see them clearly.
We kept staring, studying all of them and their positions when I saw the lights in the Living room come on.
We all paid rapt attention to see what’s going on. The window was opened and the cotton was rolled up, so we saw the inner part clearly.
Immediately the lights came on, we saw Nikky tied to a chair with something on her mouth. Like a tape to prevent her from the shouting.
“What the f**k! Why is she tied to a chair.” Danny said in anger wanting to stand up but I pulled him back making him kneel again.
“Danny please don’t let your emotions take the best of you. If we act stupid now, we are all dead.” I said and he nodded reluctantly looking out of the window.
Then we saw some men inside the house next to where Nikky was.
“They are more than ten?” Teo asked and I nodded.
Nikky looked kinda terrified and I knew that was pissing Danny off. We kept watching and then we sighted a man in white robe, like that of a lab coat come to the sight.
He had a some box in his hand and he placed it on Nikky’s laps. She tried releasing herself but that wasn’t possible.
I saw Delilah standing there too. The expression on her face showed she wasn’t in support. If only she tries to help.
“What, what Is that!” Danny asked and I saw the men in coats fill a syringe with some liquid. He picked it in the air and then looked at Nikky.
“I don’t know what that is. But I know it’s no good.” I said raising up the rifle that was with me. I placed the mouth on the window and targeted the man in coats.
“That would alert them.” Teo said.
“It’s better than letting then inject her with some motherf**king stuff.” I said shutting one of my eyes.
“You do that. I will go get here.” Danny said standing up. I really can’t stop him, it wasn’t going to go as planned anymore. Not when she is tied to a chair now.
The red spot was right on the right side of the man’s head. I pulled the trigger and it hit him right on the head spilling blood on Nikky and his coat.
“He injected some into her.” Teo said and I nodded.
“Yes I know. Teo you should stay here with this rifle. You can handle it right.” I said picking up two Guns from the bag.
“Sure. I need you to clear the road for Danny and I.” I said running out of the building.
The inside was scattered and they all picked up their guns ready to shoot. They looked around searching for where the bullet came from.
I caught up with Danny who was running, using the dark of the night as a shed.
We rested out back on the wall of a shop. He moved his hand pointing to the other side of the road which had a shop too.
I rushed out from where we were and ran to the other store. I looked at Danny and nodded.
We moved the guns out of the cover and began to shoot at the men. Our first round of shoot brought down five men.
When they noticed the direction, they began to fire back. We used the walls of the shops as shield. The bullets kept hitting the wall.
After some seconds, I began to hear groans of the men too. Teo at work.
Some where not hit and I knew they were beginning to approach us.
We peeped out and we saw four of them walking towards us.
I used the pistol with me and shot the first man at the right.
I shot the second and then Danny took care of the remaining two.
We moved out of the hiding and began to run to the house with our heads down. Everywhere was silent.
The lights in the living room were off so we saw nothing. I knew it was a death sentence if we kept moving with the lights in front.
I was about taking it down when Danny shot it, turning everywhere dark.
“Now we are even.” I thought loading the guns again.
