Aurora got back to the fashion house feeling tired.

If she had known that the event will take long then she would never have gone. Anyway, she sent Emma to the palace so she won’t have to run into Damian.

Ever since last night and even after refusing him, he kept calling and texting her but she ignored it, soon enough he will get the message and leave her alone.

Aurora got out of her car, heading into the building just as another car arrive.

“Aurora” Esther Knight came out of the car, waving at her.

“It’s so good to see you again” Esther said, giving Aurora a hug.

“Likewise but what are doing here?” Aurora ask.

“Mom wanted to see you. She’s been so excited after meeting you and she also wanted to see your fashion house” Damian said, approaching the two ladies.

Aurora frown at him and force a smile on her face when Esther began talking to her.

“Damian didn’t want me to come, he said you must be busy. Hope I’m not intruding?”

“Of course not. If you want, I will show you around” Aurora said.

“No! Just leave me on my own and get some alone time with your fiance, he must have missed you dreadfully cause I notice that he was on the phone all night” Esther said before leaving the two.

“What exactly are you up to? Didn’t I tell you that I’m not going to partake in this?” Aurora turn on him the moment Esther was out of sight.

“I need your help, Aurora”

“My help isn’t what you need. You have to come clean with her, tell her your engagement have end and….”

“My mom is sick, Aurora and she only has few months left to live” Damian said, cutting her off.

“What’s it?” Aurora ask, calming down.

“Cancer, bre@st cancer to be precise. When we got to know, it was too late”

“Shouldn’t she be attending chemo. I heard that sometime help” Aurora said.

“I have tried persuading her but she insist on spending the last months of her life out of the hospital which is why I’m doing the best I can to make her happy ” Damian explain.

“What my mom want for me is to be happy. I had thought that my engagement with my fiancee will somehow fulfil part of her wish for me but I didn’t expect Charlotte to end things. I dont have the heart to tell her that the engagement is off which is why I need someone to play the part”

“And you’ve decided that that person should be me?” Aurora ask.

“Out of the six ladies have met, you are the appropriate one among them” Damian said truthfully.

“So, will you play along and help me make my mom happy during the few month she has left?” Damian ask while Aurora watch him in silence.

“Why are we here?” Emma ask as Tyler open the car door.

“We were told to bring you here, he didn’t say why” Perry reply as the three of them walk into the building.

This is the second time Emma will be here and just like that day, she had no idea why he insist on bringing her there.

” His highness is currently in the board room, he’s having an interview” the female secretary told them when they got to his office.

“Then you better let him know we are here” Tyler said to the secretary who scurried off to do that.

She return some time later, relaying a message from Cyrus.

“He wants me to go in? But he’s having an interview?” Emma ask, unsure of the situation.

“He will be done soon which is why he wants you to come” the secretary insist and a while later, Emma walk into the board room with Cyrus secretary.

He was seated on a couch while the female interviewer ask him question with a man standing behind, recording the interview with his camera.

“And lastly, can you tell us more on your ideal girl. Since you will be crown king soon, you must have a girl In mind for the queen, right?” The interviewer ask.

“About that…” Cyrus pause, lifting his head to stare at her and holding her gaze he said.

“I don’t have an ideal type. I’m someone who believe myself to be perfect for anyone but then someone change that thought”

“Someone? So you are saying you have a lady in mind?” The interviewer ask.

“I do and she’s the most prettiest of all” Cyrus said, still holding Emma gaze.

Emma was the first to look away, it suddenly felt hot and why the hell will he say such a thing while looking at her.

The interview end and while his secretary escort the reporters out, he stride towards her.

“Come with me” he said, taking hold of her hand to take her to his office.

“Will you tell me why I’m here” Flora said, drawing her hand out of his.

“I will tell you but first thing is first” he drew her to the sofa and when she was seated, he sat next to her and lay his head on her leg before she could stop him.

“What are you doing?”

“Getting some rest”

“Why not do that alone?”

“Cause I wanted to see you” he said, starring up at her.

“Didn’t we see each other last night?” Emma ask, remembering the things he said to her.

“About last night…I sort of lose my cool”

“So you are saying you didn’t mean the things you said last night?” Emma ask.

“I do not say what I don’t mean. I meant what I said, Emma. I won’t let you leave, you are mine”

“Quit saying that!” Emma said.

“Why but you are mine” He said, taking hold of her to kiss it.

“Tell me about this boyfriend of yours?” His question left her speechless for a while.

“Why do you ask”

“I just want to know” Cyrus insist.

“There isn’t much to tell about him. Nigel is just the best man out there, he has always been there for me and…”

“And you love him” Cyrus finish for her.

“If you know that then why do you keep on acting this way?” Emma ask and he sat up.

“I can’t help it. I’m someone who doesn’t give a shit about girls except for my mom but when I saw you, that perceptive change. I like…I love you, Emma” Cyrus confess.

“Why are you telling me this? You know it won’t change a thing” Flora said, getting up but he pull back on his lap this time.

“I’m telling you this so you can keep it in mind. For you think about me as much as I do. You might just end up reciprocating my feeling” Cyrus told her.

“I can be better, I will love you and treat you better, my love will be far greater than that of Nigel” Cyrus added, cupping her face.

“What do you say? Will you give this guy a chance?” Cyrus ask waiting for her answer.

Emma wasn’t given a chance to reply cause his secretary chose that moment to show up.

“I’m sorry to intrude boss, I only wanted to remind you about your meeting the lake investors. They are waiting at the board room” she said by the door way, making Emma get off Cyrus lap.

“Do you think Kate can cover up for me?” Cyrus ask, starring at Emma.

“I don’t think so. She’s currently busy with the actress and the design team”

“Guess I have to do it myself” he said, waving off his secretary who left.

“I need to go now but I will be back soon, wait here for me, okay” He said to Flora, giving her a light kiss on the forehead before Leaving the room.

Emma gave it time before taking her things to leave as well.
