I had my first girlfriend,Maria. she was beautiful on a level outside of the world. It was my first time loving someone other than my parents and relatives.
I live with my grandma which made it easy for dating peacefully and easier. I wouldn’t say we were in love,I was the only one in love.

My body temperature went up to 126° Kelvin. Hotness to the degree of causing global warming. A fever on Christmas day, something I wouldn’t wish for. After being induced with injections and prescribed a few drugs. I was sent home to rest cuz it was a normal fever.
Little did they know,it wasn’t normal. I went up with cold the next moment I arrived at home. The bed cover and duvet couldn’t hear me up enough.
I landed in the hospital that night,I had lost much fluids from the hot fever that occured that afternoon and now with the cold fever, I’m in need of fluids.
I was placed on a drip and put to sleep. On my waking up. I was feeling much better,I couldn’t believe it,I had been taking two days straight of drip and sleep.
A healthy chap who had never been sick suddenly got strikes with the dark side of love. My mom rushed down from the city upon hearing I was diagnosed with a terrible,life-claiming fever. She was roaming my room ward at interval.
All my brain could think of was Maria. As if I was at the brink of death,my brain replayed our memories, first meeting,eye-contacts,gleeful smile,our first kiss and the text message disrupted the rest. What does death cost to stop this broken sound and pain of the heart.
As expected of every heartbreak of a chap foolishly immersed in love. I called her with my grandma’s cell. As the call went through,I gritted on my teeth and clenched my fist hoping all what happened was a dream.
“Hello”she called out. With excitement,I held the cell-phone as if it had no soul.
“Maria” as if she was waiting for my call. She had revised her response making it plain and simple.
“Simon”she called out. Her voice soothed my wounded heart at that moment.
“Yes” i replied with stuttering voice.
“It must have been a shock to you,but I’m sorry,I just dated you after my boyfriend broke up with me,but he’s ready to accept me back” “so let’s be good friends”.
As if all we shared was a dream. Breaking up with me that easily. Those words were salt added to my wounded heart,an atomic bomb went off in my heart. Upon getting home from the hospital.
With the excuse of resting,I locked my room and engaged in cried with my soul. We sat down and started the streams of tears. I wanted to tell anyone who had ears about what happened to me,but no one was close enough for me to tell,or maybe I couldn’t speak of what happened to anyone.
I intended to chat with the AI on my phone but I realized my internet connection had been exhausted. “Oops”another reason for me to cry I had found.
I cried to a point of sleep and dreamt of her breaking up with me. I woke up and cried another round of tears.
Few months later,I got over her . Being a beautiful chap, coupled with intelligence of the order made me look cool and summed up to my charm and I was kind of ideal guy for every available girls.
My total ex-girlfriends had summed up to 16 and so far still counting. I was walking in the hallway, walking to the stairs with my head dow,immersed in the song being played in my headphone.
I tripped on a leg which got me rolling down the stairs with an incoming new girl I had just seen. I fell down on her with my hand on her waist and under her head.
