“Why isn’t there any customer?” Paul ask as they were taken to their seat by a waiter.

“I book the whole place ” Cathy answered.

“Woah…you must be really loaded” Paul said, scoffing at her.

“Actually I have something to say to you” Cathy said as two waitress came to them, carrying a bouquet which they hand over to Cathy.

“What’s going on?” Paul ask as Cathy stood up.

She place the bouquet in his open hands and said.

Emma got back home after hours of staying at the park.

Since she left Cyrus, Emma knew he would try to look for her and the first place he’d want to go to the fashion house which is why she decided to spend the rest of her day taking a stroll.

She got to the front of their house only to see a man standing there, he had his back turn on her but Emma knew who he is.

“What are you doing here?” Emma ask, gaining Cyrus attention.

“The runaway lady is back” Cyrus said, folding his arms against his chest.

“I’m no runaway. I just had something to do and you haven’t answered me. Why are you here? Cause if you are here to see me then….”

“Believe it or not, I didn’t come for you”

“Then why are you….”

“You will find out soon” he said, turning towards the house but Emma went after him standing in his path.

“What are you doing going into someone’s house?” Emma ask.

“I’d rather you find out yourself and…” Cyrus stop talking when he saw that her attention wasn’t on him anymore.

He followed her gaze to see a man pushing the other who was seated on a wheelchair.

“Is he who I think he is?” Cyrus ask, watching Nigel being wheeled off by Paul.

“He is….where are you going?” Emma ask, trying to stop him but Cyrus was already striding towards Nigel.

“Nigel, right?” Cyrus ask, standing in front of Nigel and his brother.

“That’s right, who are you?” Nigel ask in return.

“Just someone who has a deal to offer you” Cyrus said as Emma got to where they were.

“What are you doing?” She mouth at Cyrus who ignore her, his gaze on Nigel.

“What kind of deal are you talking about?” Ask Nigel.

“How much will it take for you to leave Emma alone? I’m a generous person and I can give you a lot as long as you leave Emma alone, what do you say?” Cyrus ask, leaving everyone flabbergast.

“Why will you bother paying me money just to leave, Emma?” Nigel ask, breaking the silence that ensued after Cyrus lay out his offer.

“I want Emma to be my wife. Just like you I’m completely besotted by her but you happen to be in the way, you are my rival and so, I have to get you out of the way if I want my girl” Cyrus told him bluntly.

Nigel fist tighten in anger and jealousy, he stare at Emma and then at the man standing in front of him.

“You have no need to pay me, Emma and I are no longer a couple” Nigel said, starring at Emma.

“Really? Why didn’t you say so?” Cyrus ask Emma but on seeing the look on her face, his smile wear off.

“Let’s go, Paul” Nigel said and immediately, Paul push him off.

Cyrus could feel the tension between the two. Did he do something he shouldn’t have.

“Why did you do that? What right do you have to say such thing to Nigel!” Emma turn on him, her eyes brimming with tears.

“You are crying” he said, trying to touch her but she push his hand off.

“Go away! You’ve done enough for a night already. So, go away from here!” Emma yell at him.

“Why will you yell at my guest like that!” Mary, Emma mother said as she run towards them.

Aurora got back to the fashion house feeling tired.

If she had known that the event will take long then she would never have gone. Anyway, she sent Emma to the palace so she won’t have to run into Damian.

Ever since last night and even after refusing him, he kept calling and texting her but she ignored it, soon enough he will get the message and leave her alone.

Aurora got out of her car, heading into the building just as another car arrive.

“Aurora” Esther Knight came out of the car, waving at her.

“It’s so good to see you again” Esther said, giving Aurora a hug.

“Likewise but what are doing here?” Aurora ask.

“Mom wanted to see you. She’s been so excited after meeting you and she also wanted to see your fashion house” Damian said, approaching the two ladies.

Aurora frown at him and force a smile on her face when Esther began talking to her.

“Damian didn’t want me to come, he said you must be busy. Hope I’m not intruding?”

“Of course not. If you want, I will show you around” Aurora said.

“No! Just leave me on my own and get some alone time with your fiance, he must have missed you dreadfully cause I notice that he was on the phone all night” Esther said before leaving the two.

This is the second time Emma will be here and just like that day, she had no idea why he insist on bringing her there.

” His highness is currently in the board room, he’s having an interview” the female secretary told them when they got to his office.

“Then you better let him know we are here” Tyler said to the secretary who scurried off to do that.

She return some time later, relaying a message from Cyrus.

“He wants me to go in? But he’s having an interview?” Emma ask, unsure of the situation.

“He will be done soon which is why he wants you to come” the secretary insist and a while later, Emma walk into the board room with Cyrus secretary.

He was seated on a couch while the female interviewer ask him question with a man standing behind, recording the interview with his camera.

“And lastly, can you tell us more on your ideal girl. Since you will be crown king soon, you must have a girl In mind for the queen, right?” The interviewer ask.

“About that…” Cyrus pause, lifting his head to stare at her and holding her gaze he said.

“I don’t have an ideal type. I’m someone who believe myself to be perfect for anyone but then someone change that thought”

“Someone? So you are saying you have a lady in mind?” The interviewer ask.

“I do and she’s the most prettiest of all” Cyrus said, still holding Emma gaze.

Emma was the first to look away, it suddenly felt hot and why the hell will he say such a thing while looking at her.

The interview end and while his secretary escort the reporters out, he stride towards her.

“Come with me” he said, taking hold of her hand to take her to his office.

“Will you tell me why I’m here” Flora said, drawing her hand out of his.

“I will tell you but first thing is first” he drew her to the sofa and when she was seated, he sat next to her and lay his head on her leg before she could stop him.

“What are you doing?”

“Getting some rest”

“Why not do that alone?”

“Cause I wanted to see you” he said, starring up at her.

“Didn’t we see each other last night?” Emma ask, remembering the things he said to her.

“About last night…I sort of lose my cool”

“So you are saying you didn’t mean the things you said last night?” Emma ask.

“Quit saying that!” Emma said.

“Why but you are mine” He said, taking hold of her to kiss it.

“Tell me about this boyfriend of yours?” His question left her speechless for a while.

“Why do you ask”

“I just want to know” Cyrus insist.

“There isn’t much to tell about him. Nigel is just the best man out there, he has always been there for me and…”

“And you love him” Cyrus finish for her.

“If you know that then why do you keep on acting this way?” Emma ask and he sat up.

“I can’t help it. I’m someone who doesn’t give a shit about girls except for my mom but when I saw you, that perceptive change. I like…I love you, Emma” Cyrus confess.

“Why are you telling me this? You know it won’t change a thing” Flora said, getting up but he pull back on his lap this time.

“I’m telling you this so you can keep it in mind. For you think about me as much as I do. You might just end up reciprocating my feeling” Cyrus told her.

“I can be better, I will love you and treat you better, my love will be far greater than that of Nigel” Cyrus added, cupping her face.

“What do you say? Will you give this guy a chance?” Cyrus ask waiting for her answer.

Emma wasn’t given a chance to reply cause his secretary chose that moment to show up.

“I’m sorry to intrude boss, I only wanted to remind you about your meeting the lake investors. They are waiting at the board room” she said by the door way, making Emma get off Cyrus lap.

“Do you think Kate can cover up for me?” Cyrus ask, starring at Emma.

“I don’t think so. She’s currently busy with the actress and the design team”

“Guess I have to do it myself” he said, waving off his secretary who left.

“I need to go now but I will be back soon, wait here for me, okay” He said to Flora, giving her a light kiss on the forehead before Leaving the room.

Emma gave it time before taking her things to leave as well.

“She’s a designer and she has her own fashion house” Damian said quickly.

“Really? I thought you said she was a ballerina or did I get things wrong?” Esther ask.

“But this concept is the best thing that defines you” Kate said, rewatching the concept video.

“Fine, I will get the design team to do something about it”

“Or you might as well just give them this list”Cathy said, handing her a piece of paper.

“What’s it?”

“They are the things that I want to add to it since I’m the main character it’s only right that I’m perfect. Hand that over to whoever is incharge” Cathy said to Kate who left to do her bidding.

“But I don’t see anything wrong with the design” Cora who was standing beside her said.

“That’s because the character isn’t you” Cathy retort.

“Why do I feel that you are purposely doing this? Do you want to get back at someone, Is it Kate?” Cora ask.

“Mind your business” Cathy said as she was signalled by the photographer to begin her photograph session since they will be using her pictures for the game

Cathy was about to do that when she saw Paul arrive with Kate.

“Do they have to be together even though they are dating?” Cathy mutter under her breath.

“Cathy! I brought one of the design team employee and he will like to talk to you” Kate said, getting to where she stood with Paul following suit.

“Wrong timing. Have just been called by the photographer” Cathy said, frowning at Paul.

“But you can still give him time to talk, we can tell the photographer to…”

“You know I hate wasting people’s time and since I don’t want to waste the photographer time, I will do my thing with him first” Cathy said, stopping Cora from running her mouth.

“I will wait for her to finish” Paul said, frowning at her in return.

So he’s going to pretend not to know her,then she will also do the same thing.

Cathy thought as she took her pictures, switching to professional mode.

As soon as the photo session came to an end, Cathy ignore Paul saying she has to use the restroom.

She stayed there for a while, purposely wasting his time.

“What are you doing, Cathy? That guy from the design team is still waiting for you” Cora told her.

“I didn’t tell him to wait for me and besides he has company with him” Cathy said, recalling a time during her photo session where Kate was busy chatting and laughing with him.

It had taken a lot of willpower to stop her jealousy from taking over.

“What is wrong? This isn’t the professional Cathy I know”

“What did I do?” Cathy ask innocently.

“It’s like you are doing this on purpose. Do you know the guy before?” Cora ask.

“Yes, she does. If you don’t mind, I will be stealing her away for a while” Paul said walking into the female restroom.

He led her to a private room, bolting the door behind them.

“But I am being professional here. I don’t like the character you made, she’s nothing like me” Cathy said, folding her arms against her chest.

“Of course she is! Do you think that the design team will just make up a fake character? After learning that you will be face of the new game, I began learning things about you even went as far as to ask around”

“You really did that?” Cathy ask wondering why she felt pleased.

“From my brother to Emma to the Internet. I did everything just so we can create a character which align with you” Paul told her.

“Well I didn’t ask you to do it and does your girlfriend know about it? I’m sure she must hate me for taking your whole time” Cathy said in annoyance.

“What girlfriend are you talking about?”

“I’m talking about Kate! Does she know what you’ve been up to?”

“Kate is not my girlfriend. She’s a close friend, we met back in college and have been friends ever since, I’m not dating her not like it’s any of your business!” Paul said, setting her straight.

“Really? You aren’t dating Kate?” Cathy ask, a smile tugging her lips.

“I am not! Now, let’s talk about how you want the character to be and also….”

“Just go with the one you made” Cathy said, bubbling with happiness.

“What?”

“I said you should use the first one. Since you work hard on the character, just use it” Cathy said.

“Do you know you are the most exasperating person I have ever met!” Paul snap at her.

“Just as long as I’m the only exasperating girl in your life, I don’t mind ” Cathy said, smiling at him.

“You are crazy!” Paul said before leaving.

Cathy could careless about his insult, all she kept thinking about is that he is single.

“I only have to confess my feelings to him, maybe I should book a restaurant? It’s going to be so romantic” Cathy said, leaving the room in a rush.

“I’m glad you were there. I will go see him” Emma said, going to his ward.

The door to his ward was slightly open and so, she could see Paul standing beside Nigel’s bed.

“Why on earth would you try to stand. You know your condition, if Elena hadn’t been there, you would have…” Paul pause, fighting off his anger since he know he shouldn’t be angry.

“If Elena is still out there, make sure she doesn’t tell Emma about this” Nigel said.

“Is that all you can say after the scare you gave everyone? I think the best thing is for Emma to come here, she might be able to talk some sense into you”

“Don’t you dare call her! I don’t want her here! I mean it!” Nigel yell at Paul.

Emma who was standing at the door couldn’t restrain herself, she went into the room, saying.

“Why shouldn’t I be here? I’m your girlfriend aren’t I?”

“Ex girlfriend” Nigel return.

“Leave us alone, Paul” Emma said to Paul who immediately left the room.

“What exactly is your problem? You aren’t the first man to get into an accident? You aren’t the first man to be a cripple, so why do you insist on hurting me when the only thing I want is to be by your side” Emma ask.

“Tell me something I don’t know” Cyrus said, acknowledging that he’s crazy.

“I want to leave, let me out” Emma said just as he got a message on his phone and surprisingly, he went to open the door.

“As much as I would love to keep you here with me, I can’t since I have some royal matters to attend to but do know that wherever you go from now on, I will be one step behind you, so don’t think of ever running away from me cause I won’t let you” he said,looking cruel and scary.

Emma left his room in a rush, deciding the find the tea room and Aurora so she could get the hell out of the palace and away from Cyrus.

“This place is so huge” Emma exclaim as they got out of the car.

“I told you so. Remember the curtsey thing when we meet the queen and princess Cecelia, okay” Aurora remind and Emma nodded.

“Welcome Miss Aurora and Miss Emma. The queen has been expecting you two, if you will come with me” the butler said as he led them past the grand sitting room, up the stairs and past some well furnish room till they got to the tea room.

“Nice to meet you two. I’m queen Alora” The queen introduce herself while Emma and Aurora gave her a bow in return.

“The princess isn’t here but we can begin without her, show me the designs you’ve got” the queen said and while Aurora showed the queen the sketch design, Emma couldn’t help but to be fascinated by the decor.

Wanting to check out the rest of the palace, she made up an excuse of wanting to use the restroom.

Emma smile as she walk past some of the room, lingering by to check out the furnished room.

She made a turn at the corridor only to see two men coming, they must be the palace guards.

Emma thought as she quickly ran back the direction she came from but she couldn’t find the tea room.

If the guards see her they might think she’s a thief and that might ruin the business they came here to do with the queen.

She will rather hide than to let the guards see her, Emma thought as she began to descend the stairs.

She was on her last flight of stairs when she twist her foot which made her lose balance.

Emma saw herself rolling down the stairs and having to nurse a broken bone or two but she was safe when someone caught her before any harm was done.

“Are you okay?” The male voice ask and slowly, she open her close to stare at her saviour only to see him.

“Psycho” Emma called recognizing him and he seem to recognize her too because he was smiling at her.

“So we meet again” Cyrus said, his arms tightening around her when she would have pull away.

“Can you let go of me” Emma said trying to pry his hand off but instead, he lift her up and walk down the rest of the stairs, setting her back on her feet when they got to the landing.

“Are you a worker here?” Emma ask.

“No”

“Then you must be one of the guards”

“No to that too”

“Then what exactly are you cause if you don’t give me a reasonable answer, I will have to call the guards on you” Emma said.

“Oh really? What will my offence be?” Cyrus ask, folding his arms against his chest.

“I can’t help but to think that you’ve been stalking me. If you could stalk me into the royal palace then I will have to call the…”

“Here you are your highness! We’ve been looking for you” a man in black showed up, cutting Emma off.

“Excuse me but…what did you just call him?” Emma ask the guard who gave her a weird look.

“Oh, he called me his highness and that’s because, I’m the prince” Cyrus reply, shocking Emma with this revelation.

“Cat got your tongue? Aren’t you going to say something?” He ask, smiling at her.

A smile which told her that she’s dead meat…….

The two ladies and his sister stood up to give him a bow while he bow to the queen in return.

“Take a seat Cyrus” Queen Alora said to her son who sat beside his sister.

“I’m sorry for the sudden call but as you can see, I had a good reason to call for you” Queen Alora said, starring at the two girl who kept blushing while stealing glances at Cyrus.

“This two young ladies are the daughters of minister Joel and a very close friend of your sister. After a long talk, your sister and I think that one of them will be suitable to be your bride” Alora said.

“My bride?” Cyrus ask in disbelief.

“Yes. You will go out with them on dates and the lady you see fit will be crown next to you as the new queen” Cecelia was the one who spoke.

Cyrus let out a slow smile then he stood up, walking towards the two ladies.

He took the hand of the first lady to give it a kiss and did the same to the other one.

“You both are pretty and any man will love to make you his wife but that man isn’t me”

“What the hell are you doing, Cyrus!” Cecelia half yell.

“I’m making it clear to you all that I won’t let you interfere in my private life. I’m sorry if this annoy you your highness but I can take care of my life especially my love life” Cyrus said, bowing in apology to his mom.

“How dare you override the queen order? You are still the prince not the king!” Cecelia told him.

“I know and that’s why you all should know that when I decide to get married, I will marry the one I choose not the one you choose for me. Have a nice day, ladies” Cyrus said and left.

“How can you just let him do that, mom!” Cecelia said, losing her cool.

“For now, I suggest we wait and see. It’s obvious that he has someone in mind, we just have to see who this someone is and decide the next step to take” Alora told her daughter.

“Where the hell is she?” Paul mutter, checking his watch for the umpteenth time.

Should he just leave? Paul thought and decided to stay since he is the one who asked to see her.

On hearing the noise made by some of the customers present, Paul turn in his seat to see Cathy walk in.

She took off her glass to look for him in the cafe and when she spot him, she walk towards his table, ignoring some of the fans trying to get her attention.

“Did you wait long?” Cathy ask, seating on the empty chair.

“For half an hour” Paul complain.

“Sorry. The ad shoot I was working on took more time” Cathy said, not feeling apologetic at all.

“Anyway, why did you ask to see me?” Cathy demand.

“It’s about Emma and Nigel. I was hoping we could find a way to get the two of them to meet” Paul suggest.

“Nigel doesn’t want to see her”

“I know but what I also know is that if Emma gets to talk to him, I’m sure she will be able to convince him. They both love each other, we can’t let that love die without doing a thing. What do you think?” Paul ask.

“Fine, I’m going to help you on this. Tell me the plan” Cathy said as Paul explain everything to her.

“Not bad. I’m glad you are doing something to help your brother, It makes you look different in my eyes”

“What do you mean?”Paul ask.

“The last time I saw you, you left the impression of a school kid in my eyes, I’m glad to know that you are now a grown up and won’t be a burden to your brother” Cathy said.

“Well, well, well. If it isn’t the bitch which left me stranded on my yacht” Cesar said, approaching their table.

“So, Is he the one you left me for? He’s pretty much of a little boy” Cesar said.

“It’s best you leave and don’t make a scene” Cathy told him.

“Is it because your fans are seated here? Who cares? You didn’t think about me when you decided to leave during our trip together” Cesar said bitterly.

“I left because you turn out to be a Jack@ss”

“If I’m a jack@ss then you are obviously a sugar mummy cause I’m pretty sure that this boy here is not close to your age” Cesar said, eyeing Paul.

“Keep your voice down. Do you want everyone to listen to our conversation?” Cathy demand.

“I told you I don’t care about your reputation and don’t you think it’s best your fans know how much of a slut you….argh!” Cesar cried out as Paul gave him a punch which sent him sprawl on the floor.

“Watch what you say to the lady or I’m going to show you how much of a trash you are” Paul said and that got Cathy starring at him.

“Get lost before I do something worse to you” Paul said and immediately, Cesar scramble to his feet running out of the cafe and by now some people were taking pictures of them.

“Let’s get out of here” Paul said, taking hold of Cathy’s hand.

As he led her outside, all Cathy kept looking at was their link hands.

“Where did you find such a thrash?” Paul ask, jolting her out of her thought.

“On earth. He came to me like a prince and I thought he was my forever guy until I got to know about his deceit, thanks for earlier” Cathy said, smiling at him but he didn’t return the smile.

“I would have done that for anyone. Don’t let it get to your head” he said turning away from her.

“Are you leaving? Why don’t I give you a ride” Cathy offer.

“Thanks but no. I’d rather take the bus than to go with you”

“That makes me feel hurt. It’s not like I’m going to pounce on you or anything and besides, you are not my type”

“Well I’m glad I’m not your type since you are obviously not mine. Let’s meet up when we come up with a date to execute our plan” he said this while rolling his sleeves up and Cathy couldn’t help but to stare at his muscles.

And she kept thinking about it even as she drive back to her agency.

It wouldn’t be bad being a sugar mummy to such a hot guy, Cathy thought, a smile tugging her lips.

“If you are going to tell me that it’s time I move on from Nigel, I advice you to stop” Emma said, interrupting her.

“But you two have broken up”

“He broke up with me, I didn’t” Emma correct.

” I heard what happen last night, your highness. Why didn’t you let your guards go with you?” Maddox, Cyrus right hand man ask as Cyrus shoot the arrow which hit the right point.

“I had somewhere to go” Cyrus replied, taking another arrow to place it on his bow.

“But you shouldn’t have gone alone. Have you forgotten what happen three months ago?” Maddox ask and that got Cyrus putting the bow and arrow aside.

“Of course I haven’t forgotten. How can I forget that I almost died three month ago?” Cyrus said as he remembered the day he got a call that his car exploded downtown.

It had been a shocking news for him since he had plans of using the car that day but someone else had taken the car and had been severely injured from it.

“What happen to the man who drove my car that day?” Cyrus ask.

“From what I heard last, he’s confine to a wheelchair for the rest of his life” Maddox return.

“That’s terrible” Cyrus let out softly.

“It is terrible which is why I want you to be safe. What if it had been you in the car? There are a lot of enemies who are looking for the chance to get to hurt you” Maddox told him.

“I know and their threat will keep coming since I will be taking over the throne soon”

“That’s why you need to have your guards with you all the time. They are the only one who can protect you”

“I will keep that in mind next time” Cyrus reply, picking up his bow and arrow once again.

“Next time? Why do I feel like you won’t keep it in mind at all, your highness?”

“Let’s discard this topic and focus on the main one, what is my sister up to?” Cyrus ask referring his older sister.

“I find her move to be suspicious. She brought in two of her female friends, they are currently with the queen having a discussion” Maddox inform.

“What’s that witch up to now?” Cyrus mutter knowing that everything his sister does is something that will ruin his reputation and make him look bad in front of their mother, the queen.

Since she herself is after the throne. That’s something Cecelia have always made Cyrus aware of.

She covets the throne and wants to be crown the next king. The car accident that happen three month ago has something to do with her though they’ve got no evidence against her, Cyrus thought.

“From my point of view. I think those girls are potential candidates to be your wife” Maddox said, jolting him out of his thoughts.

“My what!”

“Rumour has been going around about you being single. It must have worried the queen which is why she had two of her Highness friend come over, I’m pretty sure they will try to pair you with one of them during the gala party ” Maddox told him.

“Then we’ve got to find her before that happens”

“Who are we going to find?” Ask Maddox.

“My bride. She’s the girl I chose for myself, the one intend to marry” Cyrus told him.

“Is she the girl you left with last night?” Maddox ask.

“Yes but the thing is, I know nothing about and from now on, I want you to do everything you can in finding my woman” Cyrus ordered.
