Their faces were at very close proximity.

“I’m so — you?” Luna raised a brow as she stared at the person’s face.

He smirked, “We meet again, weirdo.” Gavin spoke.

Luna frowned and immediately pushed him away from her before she dusted her clothes.

Gavin casted her one last glance before he made to leave but Luna pulled him back.

“Hey, I wasn’t done talking!” Luna frowned.

Gavin looked at her hand holding his wrist and he twisted his face in disgust.

“Do you know who I am?”

“Do I look like I give a f**k? First of all, you almost hit me with your stupid bike and that made me ruin the provision my aunt sent me to get. Now you splashed muddy water on me with your stupid bike and all you did was just smirk at me?!” Luna snapped.

She crossed her hand under her chest, “I deserve an apology.”

Gavin chuckled like he heard something funny but his face immediately went back to serious in the next second.

“You-” Before Luna could utter another word he pushed her out of the way before walking off.

“Hey! Hey!” Luna called but he didn’t turn back.

She gritted her teeth, “That stu-”

“Bestie? What are you doing out here?” Emily spoke, coming out of cafeteria.

“Nothing, let’s go in. I’m starving.” Luna smiled.

“You can’t believe what happened, I met Weston up close. He was standing just in front me and guess what he did, he just walked out on me.” Emily pouted.

“Ouch, that must have hurt.”

“I know right? But I’m not giving up, no never! I heard he’s the potential heir of his family wealth just imagine I have him as boyfriend.” Emily gushed as they took their seats.

“Umm I don’t think it’s good to like him because of his wealth. Love is-”

“Who cares about love when I can get some cool cash every week while dating him.” Emily flaunted her hair.

Luna just kept quiet. When Emily has something in mind, it’s very hard to make her think otherwise.

The door opened, interrupting the lecture that began few minutes ago. Kehlani walked in breathing heavily, she ran all the way here.

“As usual, you’re late Miss. Kehlani,” The lecturer said with a displeased look on her face.

“If being a mother and a student is too hard, I suggest you just quit school and focus on one thing. This is the last time you’ll interrupt my lectures.”

As he made to open his book, a pink paper fell of it.

Gavin rolled his eyes and tore the paper before he resumed what he was doing.

“Paola? Is it me or your sister is getting way to close to Gavin,”

Paola played with the bed in her fingers as she glared at Kehlani.

“Urgh!” Luna groaned and fell tiredly on the couch.

“You’re back,” Mia muttered with her eyes glued to the TV screen.

“Is this how school feels like? Having to deal with different calibers of annoying and stupid human being!” Luna groaned.

“Woah, it’s rare to see you insult someone? What got you so angry?”

“It’s so long to explain, I’ll tell you everything later. Need to go help aunt at the restaurant,” Luna said, heading to her room.

Few minutes later, Luna came out of her room wearing her usual baggy clothes as she tied her hair in a ponytail.

“Aunt, I’m here!” Luna exclaimed as she entered the restaurant through the backdoor.

“Thank heavens! Luna, some group of guys just walked in here. From their attire I guess they’re from rich families. I need you to go and get their order while I go for an urgent errand. And please, don’t mess up okay?” Gwynne said.

“Sure,” Luna smiled before heading outside.

“Good after–” Luna gasped loudly when she saw who they were. It turned out to be Weston and his friends.

Luna quickly hid before they noticed her presence.

“Jeez!, Jeez! Upon all places we’re supposed to meet it had to be here!” Luna screamed mentally.

She scanned through her attire and swallowed hard.

“I can’t go to them dressed like a beggar!”

She quickly pulled off her hoodie, luckily she was wearing a white shirt underneath. She undid her hair and fixed it with her hands before walking to them.

“What are we doing here? This place looks like it will collapse any moment from now, are you sure it’s a restaurant?” Alan, Weston’s friend spoke.

“Let’s go to a better place, West.” Eric spoke.

“Relax, I heard from someone that this place cooks the most delicious food. Just wanna confirm it.”

“Weston,-”

“G-Good afternoon sir, what can I get for you?” Luna greeted, trying as much as possible not to sound nervous.

They all looked at her at once and that increased the nervousness she was feeling.

Weston smiled, “It’s you.”

“Good afternoon,” Luna greeted again.

“She’s so pretty, I almost thought she was a doll.” Alan said.

“We heard this restaurant makes the best meal. Mind proving us right?” Eric spoke.

“Sure, our speciality is chicken soup. I assure you you’ll come back for more once you taste it.” Luna smiled.

“I guess we’ll go for that.” Weston spoke and the two boys agreed.

“And some refreshments.” Eric added.

“Coming up in few minutes,” Luna said and smiled. She glanced at Weston but quickly looked away when she saw he was staring back at her.

Few minutes later, she came back.

“Here’s your order,” Luna placed the tray containing the food and drinks in front of them.

“Let me serve you,” Luna said and started with Alan.

She served Alan and then moved to Eric and lastly Weston. She bit her lips hard as she served him.

“You look even prettier without make-up.” Weston whispered.

That made Luna to trip and she poured the hot soup on her hand.

“Argh!” Luna winced

“Are you okay?” Weston quickly stood up from his seat, holding her hand that had turned red due to the burn.

“I’m-”

“Come with me,” Weston pulled her towards the kitchen of the restaurant.

Eric and Alan just stared at them with wide eyes before looking at each other confusedly.

Weston turned on the faucet and began pouring water on the hand. Luna just stared at him as her heart raced really fast.

Getting to see his face without the neon lights, he looks even more handsome that she had a hard time to believe such person is standing next to her.

“Do you have an ointment for it?” Weston asked but she just kept staring at him dumbfoundedly.

“Luna?” Weston turned to look at her.

“Huh! Oh, uh, yeah! Yeah, I have one.” Luna quickly looked away as her cheek flushed red.

“He still remembers my name!” She screamed inwardly.

“Who knew I would still get to see you. What a small world,” Weston smiled.

“I’m glad to see you’re doing good, sorry for the burn. I must have made you feel nervous with my comment earlier.” Weston said, looking at the hand that was still red.

“Oh it’s okay,” Luna said.

Silence reigned between the two of them with Luna fidgeting nervously.

“Weston.” He spoke.

“Huh?” Luna looked at him.

“Weston. That’s my name, I didn’t have the chance to present myself the other time” Weston smiled.

“Cool,” Luna smiled but her smile slowly faltered bit by bit as realization began hitting her.

“Umm… By any chance is your name Weston O’Neill?” Luna asked.

“How did you know?” Weston raised a brow
