“Are you the Gavin those muscular dudes are looking for?”

Luna’s eyes widened even more, what sort of trouble did she get herself into!
Almost five minutes has gone down and those hefty men were still looking for Gavin. Their boss could be seen tapping his shoes as his patience was running down.
“Just surrender, please.” Luna whispered.
“And have this handsome face ruined? In your dreams.” Gavin scoffed.
“What if we beg them? I’m sure they’ll forgive us.” Luna said.
Gavin was tempted to laugh but he just stared at her with a raised brow before ignoring her.
“I need to get to my aunt’s shop before time. The provision she_oh no!” Luna gasped when she spotted the provision scattered on the floor, all looking damaged.

“Shh,” Gavin blocked her mouth from speaking any further as he spotted one of the men looking for him towards their direction.
Luna’s heart began beating in fear as the man approached their hiding spot. Gavin looked at Luna then sighed.
“Once you see a chance, run away as fast as you can.” Gavin said and before Luna could understand what he meant, he released her then came out of his hiding spot.
“There you are!” The man grabbed him by the jacket.
“Don’t lay your dirty hands on me. My jacket can buy you and your family.” Gavin slapped his hand off.
“Boss I’ve found him!”
Almost immediately the five men circled him. He stared at them with a poker face, his hands in his pockets.
“Gavin, Gavin. I finally caught you,” The boss smirked, coming closer.
He immediately landed a heavy punch on Gavin’s face. Luna blocked her mouth with her palms to prevent herself from screaming, this is the first time she’ll be witnessing an assault.
“How dare you snatch my girlfriend from me!”
Gavin spit out the metallic taste of blood in his mouth before wiping off the blood stain on his lips.
“She offered me her p**sy and I gladly accepted it. It’s not my fault that you can’t handle her well in bed.” Gavin smirked.
“Say that again!” The boss made to punch him again but he caught his wrist midair and returned the punch back.
Almost immediately, the other four men ganged up and began beating him up. He tried fighting back but they easily overpowered him.
Luna looked around, this was her opportunity to escape.
“But I can’t leave him there. What if they kill him,” She thought and began looking around for something she can use.
Her gaze landed on a rusty siren laying beside the trash can. She picked it and dusted it.
“I hope it’s still working.” With that she pressed on the button and the siren began blaring loudly, so loud that she had to block her ears.
“It’s the cops!” One of the men said.
“Let’s get out here,” Their boss said before looking at Gavin. “I’m not yet done with you,” He gave Gavin one last kick before leaving with his men.
Luna immediately came out of her hiding and rushed to Gavin who was laying on the ground in pains.
“Are you okay? Do you need help,” She made to touch him but he slapped her hand off.
“If not because of you, I wouldn’t have been in this state. F**k off!” Gavin snapped, standing up with great difficulty.
“But-”
“I said f**k off!” Gavin cut her off. He glared at her before mounting his bike, driving off.
Luna immediately scoffed and rolled her eyes.
“Arrogant pig.”

<GWYNNE’S RESTAURANT>
“Aunt! Aunt! You won’t believe what happened down this street. There was a-” Luna exclaimed as she entered the restaurant but stopped when she saw her uncle there too.
“Good afternoon, uncle” She greeted.
Kenzo placed a paper on the table loudly with a very unhappy countenance.
“What is the meaning of this!”
“Huh?” Luna picked the paper and read through it. Her eyes widened when she saw it was her letter of admission sent by the school.
“I’m sorry for not letting you guys know. I just got to know about it yesterday and I-”
“How many times will I f**king tell you that school is not meant for you! You’re meant to sit here, help your aunt out and look for a side hustle!” Kenzo barked.
“But-”
“Decline this admission.” Kenzo said.
“Uncle..” Luna’s eyes widened.
“So far as you’re still living under my roof you’re going to do what I ask of you. Now, decline this admission!”
“Uncle, please…” Luna began shedding tears.
“Honey,” Gwynne, Luna’s aunt finally spoke.
She held her husband’s arm and smiled sweetly at him.
“Honey, just allow the poor girl to do what she wants okay? Just this once,” Gwynne said.
“School is just a waste of time and money. Look at us, we’re college graduates but still can’t afford a good and decent job.”
“Yes, I know honey but everyone’s luck is different. Who knows, Luna might be our financial breakthrough.” Gwynne said.
“Let her go to college, huh?” She smiled at her husband.
Kenzo folded his fists tightly. He looked at Gwynne then at Luna before storming out of the restaurant.
“Thank you so much aunt.” Luna cleaned her tears.
“It’s okay, sweetie. Now stop the tears, don’t worry your uncle will definitely come through.” Gwynne patted her hair and smiled
“I don’t think he will.” Luna said in her head but nevertheless, she smiled back at her aunt.
“After today’s sales, I’ll call Emily so that she’ll take you shopping. You can’t attend such a prestigious college, dressing like this.” Gwynne said.
“Thanks, aunt!” Luna smiled widely.
“Now get the provision to the kitchen, let’s start cooking.”
Luna bit her lips, “Umm… About the provision.”

<WESTON’S CONDO>
Weston squinted his eyes as the sun rays hit his eyes. He gently sat up on the bed, holding his throbbing head, his hair looked disheveled yet he still looked so handsome.
He looked at his side to see a lady sleeping naked beside him. She slowly opened her eyes and smiled at him.
“Baby…” She sat up, holding the sheets to her body.
“You were so good last night, baby.” She ran her hands through his chest, slowly going down.
Weston caught her hand before it could go down any further.
“Leave.”
Her eyes widened, “What?” She whispered.
“You heard me right. You’ve gotten what you wanted, a night with Weston O’Neill. Now leave,” Weston said.
“I love you, West. Please-”
Weston chuckled like he heard something funny. “Love? I don’t do that sh*t.” With that said he stood up, heading to the bathroom.
Tears fell from the girl’s eyes but she immediately cleaned them. What was she expecting from Weston after all.
She got dressed and quietly left.
Weston ran his hands through his hair as the water poured from the shower to his body, his milk colored body glowing under the water.
His mind suddenly went to the girl he saw yesterday.
