“You really scared me, baby” Duncan said to me.
“And you could really use a bath right now” I replied, cringing my nose in disgust.
He perceived his shirt and cleared his throat as his ears grew red, he was about saying something but then, the door open and Fatima walked in, with a man in white coat closely behind.
I don’t know if I’ve seen him somewhere before, but he looks familiar.
“It’s good to see you’re awake, Mrs Baldwin” the man said.
“Thank you”
I thanked him, but gave Duncan a questioning look which he (the man) caught, and he laughed -wait, why does it feel like he’s laughing because I was supposed to know him?
“I’m doctor Luke, and it’s nice to meet you” he said reaching out his hand for a handshake.
“Uh, it’s obvious you already know my name” I chuckled lightly. “It’s nice to meet you too, doctor Luke” then I shook hands with him.
He nodded, then withdrew his hand.
“How are you feeling now?” he asked.
“I’m good”
“Really?”
I shook my head.
“No dizziness, or headache?” he asked again.
“Not at all” I touched my neck. “I’m just feeling a little dryness in my throat, is that normal?”
“Yeah” he answered. “You’ve been sleeping for two days, so, it’s very normal that you’ll be thirsty” he said.
“Ok”
“Uh, let’s take your temperature and heartbeat” he said.
He stepped closer to me, put a thermometer under my arm, then he reached for his stethoscope from around his neck, and placed it on my chest, then placed it on my stomach after a few seconds.
“Huh?!” he exclaimed quietly, but everyone heard him.
“Huh?” Duncan asked, indirectly telling him to elaborate on his exclamation.
But he ignored Duncan’s question, and tilted his head with a confused frown which is kinda making me anxious.
“What?! How did this happen?!” doctor Luke asked rhetorically.
“How did what happened?” Duncan and I asked at once, but from Duncan’s tone, he’s starting to get impatient with doctor Luke’s suspense.
Doctor Luke remained silent, he kept making confused facial expression, and shaking his head as if he can’t believe or understand what’s going on.
“What’s going on, doctor?” Nanny Pamela asked this time. “You’re making everyone anxious” she added.
“Yeah” Fatima and Lucas agreed.
Doctor Luke withdrew his stethoscope and straightened up, he sighed deeply.
We all stared at him as we impatiently waited for him to say what’s bothering him.
“Do you believe in miracles?” he asked, while looking between Duncan and I.
Duncan and I exchanged confused looks, because he’s really scaring and confusing everyone at the moment, then we gave him a strange look, but I nodded anyway.
“Miracles?” Duncan simply asked him back as if he’s having some doubts.
“Well, this is definitely a miracle!” He exclaimed in excitement.
“Huh?” Duncan and I asked simultaneously.
“It’s a miracle, your son is healthy and your wife has recovered her strength”
Your son is healthy and your wife has recovered her strength? Was I lacking strength before?
“Really?” Duncan asked as if he couldn’t believe his ears.
“Yes, your son’s heartbeat is very strong, and we don’t have to put your son in the incubator no more”
Wait, they wanted to put my baby in an incubator?!
“Great!”
“That’s wonderful” Fatima and Nanny Pamela exclaimed respectively.
Duncan simply pulled me into a hug, but thankfully, he didn’t hug me so tight.
“Thanks for being strong for our baby” he breathe in my ear.
We hugged for a moment until doctor Luke cleared his throat, I guess to remind us we aren’t alone.
“Uh, since your wife is strong again, why don’t we schedule her…”
“I wanna take my wife home” Duncan interrupted doctor Luke.
Ooh la la, it seems like someone’s eager to take me home, is he planning on fuçking me till I pass out?

“You wanna take your wife home? You mean back to LA?” Doctor Luke asked.
“Yes” Duncan answered. “Can my wife be transferred to another hospital in LA?” he asked.
“Uh, yes, but isn’t it better to let her have a few more days rest here?” Doctor Luke asked suggestively.
Duncan faced me as if he wanna know if I’ll agree with doctor Luke’s suggestion, to which I would have really agreed with, but he sat by my bedside and reached for my hand.
“My heartbeat, I’d really love to have you rest here for a few more days, but I have a lot of things to do back home, and I can’t waste even a second doing nothing”
He has a lot of things to do? What are those things?
“You gave me less than three months to find my mother’s murderer and settle scores with her, but I can’t do that if we stay here” he whispered this part in my ear.
Oh.. now I understand where he’s coming from.
“Can we go home, please?” he asked.
I stared at him for a moment as I briefly contemplating wether to agree with him, then I nodded slowly in agreement, as though he’s forcing me, whereas, I agreed because I don’t like the smell of hospital at all.
“Let’s go home” I told him.
He leaned forward and placed a kiss on my forehead, then rubbed my stomach fondly.
“Thank you” he whispered to me, then faced doctor Luke. “My wife’s ready to go home, get the transfer papers ready, please”
Doctor Luke looked between Duncan and I, then simply smiled and nodded.
“Alright, then, excuse me” with that he left.
Duncan turned to me.
“My heartbeat, I should go finish up with the transfer papers, then we’ll leave for the airport tonight” he said.
“Hm” I simply hummed. “But make sure you change into something nice, I feel like puking seeing you in these clothes”
He looked down at himself and laughed shortly, then kissed my cheek and left.
Nanny Pamela and Fatima rushed to my side immediately Duncan left.
“Thank God you’re ok” Fatima said.
“Yes, I was scared for you and my grandson” nanny Pamela agreed.
“I’m fine, nanny” I assured her.

Hours Later<<
Mrs Baldwin hide her face on her husband’s chest, he was carrying her bridal style in his arms as they stepped out of the hospital, and his fans wouldn’t stop snapping photos of him, and gushing over his public display of affection -although, his security men blocked his crazy fans from reaching him and his wife.
“You really don’t have to do this, I can walk on my own” she said.
“But I really wanna carry you in my arms” Mr Baldwin replied.
“Humph” she huffed. “I’m sure my face would be on the front page of every newspaper in America tomorrow” she grumbled, and playfully punched his chest.
Mr Baldwin simply laughed at how cute she is.
After walking for a few seconds, he stopped by his car and Lucas opened the passenger seat for him.
“Mr Baldwin, your private jet is ready” Lucas reported.
“Hm”
Mr Baldwin hummed as he helped his wife into the passenger seat, he helped her fastened her seatbelt and shut the door, before turning back to Lucas.
“Are you driving, sir?” Lucas asked.
“Yes” Mr Baldwin glanced at his wife and smiled. “I wanna be her driver”
“Oh” Lucas nodded. “Right, I just found out that Asher isn’t just a member of the Russian Mafia gang, he’s also the son of Russian Mafia lord”
Mr Baldwin’s eyes narrowed.
“He’s the son of Russian Mafia lord?”
“Yes, sir, but unfortunately, we don’t know who this lord is because she does show her face”
“She?”
“Yes, sir, the Russian Mafia lord is a woman”
Mr Baldwin balled his fist as he glared murderously at nothing.
“Kidnap that Mike, and bring him to my playhouse for interrogation!”
“Mike, sir?”
“Yes, I wanna know if he’s involved in the Mafia world too”
Lucas nodded.
“Yes, sir”
“Any news from Ferrari’s doctor yet?”
“No”
“I guess I’ll personally visit the hospital soon” Mr Baldwin said.
He gestured Lucas to take the next car, then rounded his car and got into the driver’s seat.
“What were you discussing with Lucas?” Mrs Baldwin asked.
“Oh, uh”
Mrs Baldwin narrowed her eyes.
“We were talking about Ferrari” he said.
“Your father?”
“Yes, he knows who my mother’s murderer is”
“Oh”
“Yeah” he started the car. “I’ll visit his doctor soon and see if his condition is improving, because the earlier he wakes up, the faster I’ll avenge my mother” then he drove out of the parking lot, and into the main road.

Tasha and Ms Cara sat in a dark corner drinking beer, Ms Cara had a cigarette between her fingers, and seemed to be enjoying watching some teenagers dancing on the dance floor.
“When is your spy coming?” Tasha asked impatiently.
“I always tell you this, be patient” Ms Cara replied.
Tasha’s eyebrows furrowed and she was about saying something, but shut up when she saw a girl approaching them.
“Ms Cara” the girl greeted Ms Cara, and sat on the chair next to Tasha.
“Hey, Selene” Ms Cara threw a cigarette at her. “What took you so long?” she asked.
“Sorry, ma’am, I was stuck in traffic”
“Hm”
“Ma’am, our spy has reported back” Selene reported.
“Really?” Ms Cara raised her brows. “What did he say?”
“Duncan and his wife are coming back to LA tonight”
Ms Cara smirked.
“Ooh, it’s about time” she paused and faced Tasha. “Why don’t we throw them a welcome party tonight?” her smirk widened until she broke into an evil laugh, and soon Tasha joined in her laughter.
