The alarm blared endlessly, and to Camila, it sounded like wedding bells. But instead of excitement, it brought a heavy sense of dread—a nightmare she wished she could wake up from.
“Miss, it’s time,” the maid said softly, gently tapping her shoulder.
Camila groggily opened her eyes. A wedding gown stood prominently on a mannequin, and hairstylists and makeup artists were already bustling in the room, preparing for the day.
“Congratulations, ma’am, you’re getting married today,” they greeted her in unison. She forced a smile in response, though her heart weighed heavily.

“The truth is… I love you, Camila,” he admitted, his voice softening. “I always have. But I couldn’t accept it because it felt like I was betraying my family.”
Camila froze, her breath hitching as Alejandro continued.
“I blamed myself for their deaths—thinking if I’d been there, things would’ve been different. And when I couldn’t handle the guilt, I blamed you. It was easier to hate you than to face the pain. But the truth is, it’s no one’s fault. I love you, Camila,” he confessed, his voice raw with emotion.
Tears welled in her eyes as she stared at him, shaking her head in disbelief.
“I’ve always loved you,” he repeated. “I just couldn’t say it out loud. But now, I don’t care about the company or anything else. Screw it all—just come back to me, please.”
Camila turned away, tears streaming down her cheeks. “It’s too late, Alejandro,” she whispered. “I’m getting married. Please leave.”
But Alejandro didn’t leave. Instead, he stepped closer, cupped her face, and kissed her. It was a desperate, passionate kiss—a plea that she couldn’t ignore. She tried to push him away, but her resistance melted into the tenderness of the moment. When she finally pulled back, she saw something she never thought possible—Alejandro’s tears.
“Please don’t marry him,” he begged, his voice breaking. “Just wait for me. I promise everything will be okay.”
He stepped back, ready to leave through the window.

Moments later, the gates opened, and a woman in a flowing wedding gown entered. She walked gracefully down the aisle toward Rafael, who turned to face her with a smile.
The priest stepped forward. “Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today in the sight of God and these witnesses to join this man and this woman in holy matrimony.”
Rafael listened intently as the priest continued with the prayers and vows.
“Let us pray. Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask for your blessing upon this union. May their love for each other continue to grow and flourish, and may they always remember the vows they make to each other today.” The priest said a prayer before moving on to the vows and exchange.
“Now, Rafael, you have come to this moment to pledge your love and commitment to each other. Will you please repeat after me” The priest said and Rafael repeated.
” I, Rafael take you, Camila to be my wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death us do part.”
The priest urge Camila to repeat the same and she did.
“By the authority vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride.”
Rafael lifted the veil, but his smile vanished at the sight of the unfamiliar face.
“Who are you?” he demanded, his voice laced with anger. “Where is Camila?”
Suddenly, the doors burst open, and armed police officers stormed in.
“Rafael Marcus, you are under arrest for the trafficking of illegal substances, theft, and conspiracy. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law,” an officer announced.
Rafael raised his hands, his face a mixture of shock and fury.
Outside, Alejandro stood beside Camila, who smiled triumphantly as Rafael was escorted out.
“You bitch after everything I did for you” Rafael mumbled between gritted teeth to Camila.
“You really think I’ll get married to a man who kidnapped my family? You must be dreaming Rafael!” Camila huffed.
“You think you’ve won?” Rafael sneered at Alejandro.
“It was never a competition,” Alejandro replied calmly.
Rafael smirked. “Too bad your company is about to blow up in seconds.”
Alejandro held up a disconnected bomb. “Looking for this?” he asked smugly.
Rafael’s face contorted in rage as he was dragged away.
Camila turned to Alejandro, tears of relief streaming down her face. “We’re free now,” she said, but the moment was short-lived. She suddenly felt dizzy and collapsed into Alejandro’s arms.
“Camila!” he shouted, panic in his voice.
