Married To The Vengeful Billionaire:

🔸(His Sweet Torture)🔸

On the way back to New York in Alejandro’s private jet, Camila and Alejandro barely spoke. Alejandro was absorbed in call after call, and Camila chose silence, still upset over what had happened earlier.

“We’ve arrived, boss,” the pilot informed them.

Alejandro stepped off the plane, where two cars awaited.

“Peter will take you home. If you need anything, just let the maids know,” he said, not sparing Camila a glance before getting into the second car and driving off.

“Welcome back, ma’am! You’re glowing. I hope you enjoyed your holiday,” Peter said with a smile, helping her with the car door.

“Thank you,” Camila replied, trying to cheer up, though she was still hurt by Alejandro’s coldness.

The drive home was quiet. The maids welcomed her, and she answered politely.

“Ma’am, dinner is ready,” Lucy informed her, knocking on her door.

“I’m not hungry. Just cover it up and wait till Alejandro returns,” Camila replied, and Lucy nodded, leaving her alone.

Camila sighed, lying on her bed and staring at the ceiling. “What’s with him?” she thought. One moment he’s sweet, and the next, he’s distant. He was like a complicated book she could never fully understand.

Her phone rang, displaying an unknown number. She picked up.

“Camila, it’s Lucia,” said a familiar voice. Camila jumped up in surprise.

“Lucia? As in Lucia Landon?” she asked, astonished.

“Yes,” Lucia confirmed.

“Oh my God! I’ve been trying to reach you for ages, but you never answered. Is everything okay?” Camila asked, concern evident in her voice.

“I’m fine, Camila. Calm down,” Lucia sighed.

“What do you mean, ‘calm down’? I’ve been worried sick, especially after hearing you got married!” Camila protested.

“I’m sorry about that. I had to keep a low profile. Besides, my father took everything—my house, company, clothes, car, even my phone,” Lucia explained with a pout.

“Really? How are you managing?” Camila asked, curious.

“George and I are making do. He brought me to his mother’s house, and it’s actually been fun,” Lucia said cheerfully.

“George sounds like a wonderful person. I’m proud of you for standing by your choice. Married life must be treating you well,” Camila smiled.

“Oh, it is, but I bet you and Alejandro are having even more fun,” Lucia teased. Camila’s mood shifted, and Lucia picked up on it, even through the phone.

“Are you and Alejandro okay?” she asked.

“We’re fine,” Camila mumbled.

“That doesn’t sound fine. What’s wrong?” Lucia pressed.

“I’m not even sure. One moment, we’re happy, and the next, he’s distant and moody,” Camila admitted, frowning. “We were just on a vacation in Texas, but he insisted on coming back to New York early, and he left with Diego. He hasn’t come home since,” she added.

“Grumpiness should be Alejandro’s middle name. I don’t get why he’s always like this,” Lucia said, rolling her eyes.

“Don’t worry about it, Lucia. Alejandro and I will work things out. Just enjoy your time with George. And if you need anything, don’t hesitate to ask, okay?” Camila said softly.

“Sure thing,” Lucia replied.

“Good night,” Camila said before ending the call. She glanced at the clock—past midnight, and Alejandro was still not home.

She dialed his phone, but he didn’t answer.

“Oh, no!” she muttered, springing up and storming out of the room in her nightwear.

“Ma’am, where are you headed?” Peter asked, quickly moving to block her path, though he struggled not to look at Camila attire. He was surprised seeing her outside by this time.

“I’m going to Ruiz Royal Estate,” she declared.

Peter checked his watch. “Ma’am, it’s past midnight. The boss would kill me if I let you go out at this hour,” he protested.

“If that’s the case, then why is he out this late? What could possibly be so urgent?” Camila snapped.

“Please, ma’am, just go back inside,” Peter pleaded.

“You know what? Fine. If you won’t take me, I’ll go myself,” she said, walking toward the gate.

Peter muttered something under his breath, then rushed to the car to catch up with her.

RUIZ ROYAL ESTATE**

Alejandro was buried in a stack of paperwork when his office door burst open. He looked up, shocked to see Camila standing there in her nightgown.

He blinked in surprise before striding over to her. “What are you doing here?” he demanded.

“I should be asking you that,” Camila replied, giving him a no-nonsense look.

“Who brought you here?” Alejandro ignored her question, grabbing her hand and pulling her closer to inspect her for any injuries.

“Are you out of your mind, Camila?” he yelled, startling her. “Why would you come out at this hour in your nightgown? Do you realize what could have happened?”

“I was worried about you,” Camila mumbled.

“For heaven’s sake, I’m fine!” he snapped.

“Stop yelling at me! I should be the one upset here. We were fine just moments ago, Alejandro, and then you suddenly turned cold. You left me alone in that enormous, empty mansion to come here and work!” she stormed over to his desk and scattered the files.

“Hey! What’s your problem?” he asked, anger flashing in his eyes.

“My problem is you! One minute, you make me feel wanted; the next, I feel like an afterthought. I love you, Alejandro—I’ve told you and shown you in every way possible. But I don’t understand what you want from me, and it’s driving me crazy!” she shouted.

“I’ve given you everything, Camila. I helped your family, even after how you treated me in the past. I believe I’ve been more than fair!” Alejandro shot back, his eyes blazing.

“You’re still holding onto that?” Camila asked, taken aback.

“How could I forget? Every day, I’m reminded of what I went through because of you, Camila. It wasn’t just about you rejecting me; I lost everything—my family, my peace—all because I wanted you to notice me!” he ranted, pacing the room. “And now, I’m on the verge of losing the company I built because I’m with you!”

Camila stared at him, speechless. “What do you mean by losing the company? And what do you mean about losing your family?”

He stopped, looking at her for a long moment. His face was full of emotions he’d tried to bury.

“Please leave,” he finally said, closing his eyes. “I’ll call Peter to take you home. Just…please, go.”

When he opened his eyes, she was gone.
