“If you later find your boyfriend, you should warn him to hide well cos if he comes out, I’ll kill him” she warned boldly, and Hope sighed.

Hazel turned around, and she almost missed her footings as she started walking to Kenzie whose hands are still in his pockets.

Her eyes are fixed solely on him, and her knees are red…he wondered why.

He squinted and took the gun from her when she got to him.

Before she could start wondering what it means, he pocketed the gun and entered the practice room to take her bag.

He came back and took Hazel’s hand.

“We still have one more practice session” she protested.

Hazel smiled at her, and she finally left the studio with Kenzie.

She has her hands in her already haphazard hair, looking like a madwoman.

“Practice cancelled, right? Everyone should bounce” she muttered, grabbing her jacket and bag.

She dashed out of the studio without looking back.

Amber and Katherine left too, leaving Hope with the team members.

She looked at her bitten arm, feeling the pains already.

“You should get it treated” one of the team members told her.

“Of course” she replied, and her phone buzzed in her bag.

She went for it and smiled when she saw a text from Natty.

Natty: Are you in for hangout? And please get ready to be my photographer!

Hope: In!

Natty: Meet me at the subway then!

Hope left the studio too.

Kenzie hasn’t said a word since he drove out of the studio park, and it left Hazel with no choice but to start scrolling through her WhatsApp, though there’s literally nothing to see.

No one updated a new status, and she got bored easily.

She left WhatsApp and bit her lip slightly, wondering why he’s not saying anything…

Did he bring her out of the studio to go mute on her?

His scent surrounded her so much that she can’t even breathe without inhaling.

She couldn’t blink, and she couldn’t look away from his unraveling eyes…it’s like a spell, and when he finally smiled, she blinked, though it’s one of his fake smiles.

“Is that why you haven’t been talking to me since we left the studio?” She said.

“I watched action shows with Lee a lotta times” she replied.

“Who’s your father?” His eyes darkened, and she looked away from him immediately.

“Where are we going?” She asked straight.

She covered her face with the menu, and he pulled his brows slightly.

“I’ll just have stir-fried noodles and… Juice” she closed the menu, and he called a server to get her order.

“You won’t eat?” She raised questioning brows.

“My OCD and salt disorder only allows homemade food” he replied curtly, and she nodded.

“Oh…

“And what’s up with your red fuçking knees?” He asked, and she rubbed them under the table.

“Oh…a part of the dance requires going on the knees” she replied.

“And you don’t find it sensible to use knee pads?” He frowned.

“They’re too expensive, and… stop scolding me when I did nothing wrong” she muttered, and he gave her a indecipherable look before retrieving his phone.

He was tapping away on it when her meal was brought, and she was halfway through eating when Kenzie went outside.

He came back minutes later with a package in a delivery bag.

“What’s that?” She asked, dropping her chopsticks.

“Just eat” he replied.

“I’m full” she said, and he stood, grabbing her hand.

She followed like a kitten till they got to the closest washroom.

He dropped the bag and lifted her up by the waist, placing her in between the dispensers.

He brought a small white container out of the bag and opened it

It’s an ointment for her red knees, and as he applied, she couldn’t get her eyes of him.

She folded her palms till he was done, and he gave her the whole bag which contains multiple knee pads, all colour green.

“Thank you” she said with a smile.

Kenzie brought his face back to her immediately, then his two hands landed on her exposed thighs.
