“It’s Kenzie…. Kenzie isn’t… talking to me… Dad Kenzie is not breathing!!!!!!!!” She cried madly, the phone slipping from her clammy palm to the ground.
“Kenzie!! Kenzie open your eyes! Kenzie wake up!! Kenzie!!!” She cried again, pulling his shirt in the front as her tears wet his face in droplets.

Almost immediately, Thiago’s guards rushed into the tent, all armed.
They’ve actually been surrounding the sea unnoticed since Hazel and Kenzie came in the morning, protecting them at Thiago’s orders.
They took Kenzie from Hazel, and she was crying so hard as she ran after them till they arrived at the car.
Kenzie was tucked in and taken away without waiting for an ambulance.

TORRANCE ESTATE, SECOND MANSION*
Anna’s tears is currently flowing uncontrollably down her cheeks, and Hugo is sitting on one of the dinning chairs, looking paralyzed like he got stuck by lightning or something.
The rest of the guys are still so weak from crying so much, and Hope already joined the waterworks exercise too.
“I can’t believe it, still” Anna stood, dipping her fingers in her hair.
“Why didn’t he tell us? Why would he keep such to himself?” Hugo stood too.
“It was already past the treatable stage when he found out about it too, so there’s nothing to be done” Miguel replied.
“And also, how would both know if he’s fine when you never speak to him?” Natty said.
“What do you mean?” Anna retorted.
“Since we came back from school, you’ve never called him in for a talk anytime despite the fact that you’re aware of his condition. You only see Lee, isn’t it? I bet you aren’t even aware of when he began growing affection for Hazel. He even travelled to Italy for a week but you never knew ” Natty continued.
“What! When?” Hugo said, and Natty shook her head.

“Is it because he’s Georgia’s son?” Eminem said.
“Don’t say that again! I love him like my own son! He’s my son! I love Kenzie so much but he shuts me down anytime I try to show him love” Anna replied.

“Ken told me about it, your excessive shower of affection is making him feel uncomfortable, which is why he’s drawing lines. I thought it was normal, till he told me about how you touched his lips in his sleep” Miguel said, and Anna gulped again.

“What are you talking about!” Hugo spranged up.
“Stop accusing mum wrongly” Lee defended, and Miguel scoffed.
“I wouldn’t harbour such thoughts, I’m not shameless” Anna said slowly.
“This ain’t the time to argue, y’all. Can’t you see the writing on the wall? Ken is dying! We’re losing him! We won’t see him anymore! He’d be buried!” Natty shouted, and the ringing of her phone interrupted her.
Immediately she saw Hazel’s line, she quickly swiped green, and when she heard the sound of her cries, her heart nearly flew out of her chest.
“Girl, please tell me it’s not what I’m thinking”
“Kenzie is not breathing! Doctors are trying to bring him back but it’s not working!! He’s not talking to me!! Why didn’t you tell me about his cancer? Why didn’t you tell me Natty!! How could this happen to me when our love is still so young!! How could this happen to me!!” She cried loudly on phone.
Natty ran out of words to say, so she cut the call and released a low exhale.

Before she could finish, Anna already rushed out of the house with Hugo, and the rest followed.

After several minutes of trying to save Kenzie in the ER, the doctors finally came out with tensed looks on their faces, led by Dr. Dora, the female head doctor.
“We were able to make him come back, but that’s just for now” she said sadly.
“Wh..what do you mean?” Hazel hiccupped, and Dr. Dora came closer to touch her shoulder.
“Cheeks, you’d have to prepare your mind for the worse” she said.
“Dear” Thiago rushed in with Maria.
“Dad, dad I don’t understand what she’s saying” Hazel cried, and he wiped her tears first.
“How’s he doing?” He asked the doctor.
“I’m so sorry Mr. Alejandro, but there’s no hope. He has been surviving on oral medication for the past three years, and right now no amount of pills can help the state of his lungs anymore. To make matters worse, he’s a smoker, and that’s just… bad. Please, prepare your minds” the doctor said and took a bow before leaving with the rest.
“Dad…Mum…I can’t lose him, i don’t want to” Hazel cried hotly, and Maria hugged her teary face to her chest.
“This bastard kept it from everyone?” Thiago said.
“Trust me, no one knew about it at the estate” Maria replied, and he sighed.
Anna and Hugo rushed in with the rest, and Anna quickly wiped her tears before speaking.
“Where’s Kenzie?”
Thiago didn’t reply.
“He’s… he’s not gonna make it according to the doctor” Maria replied, and Anna held her head with her two hands.
“Kenzie..”
Eminem closed his eyes, and tears slid out, same with Natty.
Miguel folded his fists, and Lee’s eyes are already red.
Hope was looking at Hazel pitifully.
Within one minute, grief descended on the hallway, and then Lord Steel came in too.
Immediately he saw the atmosphere, he stopped some meters away from them, staring at them from there.
“Something doesn’t feel right” he muttered.
Miguel walked out of the hallway, and Hope followed him till they got to the end of it, then he turned to face her.
“I can leave if you don’t want my company” she quickly said.
“It’s fine” he replied, and they backed the wall together.
“I can’t believe he’s really… gonna die” she said slowly.
“Maybe because I’ve been preparing myself for this since I found out two months ago, i expected it, but still…it fuçking hurts” he replied, and she sighed.
“I know…I mean…he has been your friend even before you went to college together. Natty told me” Hope replied, and Miguel nodded once.

He stopped talking and covered his eyes with his palms, crying into it.
Meanwhile, Natty is squatting by the other side of the wall alone, shedding tears too when Lee came to meet her.
She didn’t even bat a lid as he squatted beside her.
“I can’t believe we’ll be wearing black to a funeral soon. I hate black, and I don’t want to wear it…I don’t want to bury my brother” He said.
She kept quiet.
“I was already dreaming of showing him off to my school girls next year in college…I can’t…” He started crying too, burying his face in his knees.
Natty looked at him, and her tears only poured more.
Eminem is at the far end of the wall, sobbing alone.
Meanwhile, Anna is currently on her way to Georgia’s ward.
She didn’t wait for the nurses before barging in, and she met Georgia displaying madness, chained to her bed as usual.
She went straight for her and grabbed her neck, pressing it down to the mattress.
“You’re the root cause of all these! You made him into what he is! You made him addicted to smokes at a young age! You ruined his life witch!! It’s all your fault!!!!” She yelled.
Georgia was already seeing the other side of the universe when the nurses rushed in.
They were shocked beyond words as they began trying to take Georgia’s neck from Anna’s grip, but it was impossible.
Anna was determined to kill her once and for all.
Only the male doctors could take her away when they arrived, and by that time, Georgia already passed out with a swollen neck.
“No I need to kill her!! Let me kill her!!!” Anna was crying as she was dragged out.
