I sat in the conference hall feeling very tired. I had meetings up on meetings.
That is why I hate Mondays, I feel like I will go unconscious very soon.
The meeting finally came to a conclusion and I felt great joy in me. I wanted a massage badly, i will have to cancel all meetings for the rest of the day.
I walked out of the hall after the greeting the necessary people. I pulled down my tie tiredly as I felt my feet hurt so bad.
I got to my office and I slammed into my couch laying on it. I felt a little refreshed and all I wanted was a small hit on my back.
The door opened and my P.A Vivian walked in carrying some files in her hand.
“I don’t want to see those things on that table. Keep them with you, I will attend to them tomorrow.” I said weakly with my eyes shut and my hand on the floor as a support to the couch where I laid.
“Danny are you okay?” She asked.
“No am not. I am so tired, I need a massage.” I said pouting my mouth.
“Should I help you?” She asked walking close to me.
“I would love that Vivian.” I said smiling.
She managed to sit on the little space provided on the couch, and reached for my shoulders squeezing it slowly.
“Yeah this is so relieving.” I said shutting my eyes in relieve.
The door opened again but I didn’t bother opening my eyes. I wasn’t in the mood to stress myself.
“Dude I told you to get a wife. Don’t stress this beauty.” I heard that stupid voice I have been hearing right from I was young.
“I will keep saying it. You are too annoying to be my brother. Why do you love disturbing my peace.” I said to Kaleb my immediate brother.
“You can’t disown me brother.” He said laughing.
“What do you want this time?” I asked finally opening my eyes.
“I am bored.” He said nonchalantly.
“So?” I asked.
“Come keep my company. You know you are the only family I have.” He said like a baby.
“You can’t keep maltreating me with that okay?” I said making him laugh.
“Am serious. We have no parents, so you are my parent.” He said making me sigh.
“Fine, what do you want me to do? Cos right now, I am f**king tired.” I said smiling at Vivian who kept massaging me.
“Let’s go to a club. F**k some girls.” He said making me shut my eyes again.
“I knew you won’t say something reasonable. You are such a fool.” I said and I heard Vivian giggle.
“That is not fair, in front of your P.A.” He said pouting his mouth.
“Kaleb you are no baby, forget about this club and women. Find something doing with your life.” I said telling Vivian to pause as I sat up.
“Your advice taken. Can I give you an advice too?” I asked.
“Hmmm okay.” I said.
“Get a wife!” He yelled making Vivian laugh.
“Kaleb I will kill you.” I said standing up and running to him dragging his hair.
“Ouch! It hurts!” He cried making me free him. I walked back to the couch and sat shooting him a deadly look.
“To be honest Danny. You are friendly, loving, rich, handsome. What else do you need? Why not get married already?” He asked looking serious.
“True love.” I stated and everywhere went dead silent.
“I need someone who will love me for who I am, not for the fame okay.” I said standing up and walking to my desk.
“Brother, I know you have been through a lot of relationship shits. But you can stay single forever. You are 32, try giving love another chance.” He said and I looked at Vivian.
She bowed her head slightly trying not to say something, though I know she was itching to say something.
“Say something Vivian.” I said and I saw her nod.
“Danny, you have the best personality I have ever seen. Where do a boss ask his workers to call him by name, where is it heard that the CEO sits with his workers at the restaurant to eat casual food.”
“Now it isn’t just any boss. It is Danny Farrow, you have put smile on people’s faces and you suppose to be happy.”
“Love is a beautiful thing with the right person. And you can’t know this right person till you keep trying.” She explained making me sigh.
“I just love you Vivian.” Kaleb said making her blush.
“You both are right. I just don’t think that one true love will come to me when I still have this riches and fame.” I said.
“What are you insinuating?” Kaleb asked.
“I want to be poor for two years.” I said and they mouths dropped wide open.
“What!” They chorused and I nodded smiling.
“How is that even possible?” Vivian asked.
“Nothing is impossible. I will make it happen, come up with a fake story for the masses and within three months I am forgotten.” I said.
“The idea sounds great, I know you can handle the news and the masses. But how will you survive? You have been rich for almost 14 years now. Tasting poverty again will be so hard.” He added.
“I know but I have to do it. And you both are going to help me.” I said and they nodded reluctantly.
