Erica slapped herself on the face as she stared at Xavier who was groaning on the floor.

“What a man are you” she rolled her eyes before picking a knife from one of the market women.

She aimed it at the tire of the bike that was now moving slowly then threw it. The knife didn’t miss the tire, it stabbed it and the bike stopped moving immediately.

Xavier looked up from the ground to the bike.

“Wait here, let me continue from where I stopped” he said and helped himself up immediately.

He began chasing after the man while Erica sighed and followed behind, she didn’t run, she just walked slowly.

Xavier got the guy, he turned him to face him and wanted to punch him but the guy easily dodged him.

Xavier raised his hands to throw another punch but that guy dodged him again and gave him a punch on the stomach instead.

“Ouch!” Xavier groaned and stumbled on himself.

Erica was watching angrily from behind.

Xavier then went for the bag, he began dragging it with the thief.

“Let it go!” He yelled.

“No you let it go!!” The thief yelled back.

“Let! Go!” Xavier glared.

“Fine” the thief smirked and let the bag go and immediately, Xavier fell down.

The thief turned around and took his heels, Xavier wanted to stand up and go after him again but Erica stopped him.

“You’ve done too much already so let him go plus we got the bag” she stretched her hands out to him.

Xavier sighed and gave her the bag and as Erica collected it, she noticed the injury on his arms.

“You got injured” she said and he shook his head.

“It’s nothing, I didn’t even feel it” he scoffed.

“You got injured so come with me!” She rolled her eyes and took his hand.

Xavier stared at her hands on his and smiled. He said nothing as he allowed her to pull him to a little pharmacy shop.

“Excuse me, do you have any ointment for cuts?” She asked and the old man who owns the pharmacy shop nodded.

“Can I have your best please?” She replied and he went in.

He came back with the ointment and cotton wool.

“Here you go” he handed to her.

Erica paid up and held Xavier’s hands again. She sighted an empty space that contained a big umbrella with a bench.

“Ouch! Ouch! That burns!” Xavier winced as Erica gently rubbed the ointment on the cut in his arm.

She was trying her best to be gentle but he kept shouting at every small touch of the ointment.

She suddenly pressed the cotton wool on the injury really hard and he screamed loudly.

“Erica, damn! What is your problem!” He complained.

“You really know nothing than to sleep with girls right?” She said angrily.

“Is that why you want to hurt my arm more than it already is?” He asked back and she pressed the cotton wool even more.

“Arghh! Please no more!” He cried painfully.

“You should have just stayed back if you weren’t good at fighting” she rolled her eyes.

The door opened and Erica stepped in, she threw her bag on the bed and loosed her packed hair down immediately.

“How was the date?” Gwen asked with a smile.

Lucky didn’t even recognize that Erica was back because she was busy having a video call with Edward and rolling on the bed.

As for Naomi, she went out and wasn’t back yet.

“I’m really tired, I have no comment for now” she replied and entered the restroom.

Naomi slowly opened her eyes and blinked slowly when she found herself in a strange bed.

‘This is not my new room’ she thought.

“Good morning sleeping beauty, glad to see that you’re awake” a familiar voice sounded and she looked up to see Dante coming out of the door.

She guessed it must be his bathroom because his hair and his chest were dripping wet and he was tieing a white towel only.

“My eyes!” She screamed and blocked her face with her palms.

“I’ve told you countless of times that I’m a girl and you’re a guy, stop showing up naked in front of me!!” She yelled out.

“I’m only shirtless and you’re complaining, incase you don’t know, you’re my assistant so you should get used to seeing me like this” he replied and went to his wardrobe to look for what to wear.

Naomi kept her eyes closed throughout,he only shook his head as he stared at her before picking up a button shirt.

“Can you knot a tie?” He suddenly asked.

“Yes why?” She replied.

“Open your eyes and come over here” he said and her eyes slowly went open.

He was putting on a formal wear and was struggling to knot his tie as it has become his major problem.

“How come you can use hours to play basketball but can’t even knot a simple tie” she muttered and got to his level.

He was quite tall so she tiptoed instead, she brought her hands to his neck and began knotting his tie.

While she was helping him with his tie, Dante got lost in staring at her face, does she always look cute, always…

Naomi could feel his gaze on her and she slowly raised her head up to look at him, their eyes met, he was looking directly to her eyes, really intensely.

Naomi blinked twice, she wanted to look away but strangely she couldn’t, his eyes were so beautiful, drawing her closer to him.

The stare kept happening and before she knows it, she felt a hand on her waist, the feeling alone sent shivers down her body.

“Why?” Dante asked in a whisper and she gave him a confused look with her eyes widened.

They were looking pink and soft and tasty.

He pulled away when he heard his phone ring. Naomi also cleared her throat and stepped back.

He said somethings on the phone before facing Naomi.

“Let’s go, the cloth on that chair is yours, put it on, I’m waiting for you in the car” he said before leaving.

When he left, Naomi breathed out and touched her chest. It was still beating rapidly.
