Lucky stood up the moment the nurse walked away from Edward’s bed.

“What happened to him? Is he okay?” She asked and tried peeking at him.

“He’s fine but why did you allow him to eat something he is allergic to?” The nurse asked.

“Huh?” Lucky looked confused.

“His body can’t take too much spicy food and too much salt” the nurse replied.

“I didn’t know, he didn’t tell me” Lucky muttered to herself.

“Now I’m guessing you do, when he wakes up, you’ll talk to him” the nurse smiled and left.

Lucky sat down on the chair and began massaging her temple until she heard someone cough.

She immediately looked up to see Edward already awake.

“Let me get you water!” She ran to the table beside him and put water in a cup then immediately gave him to drink.

Edward only drank a little.

“How do you feel now?” She asked.

“I’m fine” he smiled.

“So why didn’t you tell me that my food was too salty and why didn’t you also tell me that you don’t like too much spices in your food?” She asked with a kind of angry look.

“Because you said you don’t like wasting food” he muttered and pouted his lips.

“But that almost cost you your life!” She snapped.

“At least it’s better than seeing you heartbroken” he said seriously and she turned speechless.

She didn’t even know what to say than to blink her eyes more twice.

The door opened and she turned back to see Xavier, Jace and Dominic rushing in. She slowly stepped back.

“We heard what happened are you okay?” Xavier asked and touched his forehead.

“I’m fine!” Edward smiled.

“That’s good to hear, we were scared for you” Dominic muttered and Jace nodded but his eyes were stylishly on Lucky.

“I’m really fine and beside how did you guys know I’m here?” He asked with his eyes narrowed.

“You fainted in the school park of course people saw you and we managed to hear about it” Dominic rolled his eyes.

Xavier turned to look at Lucky, he dipped his hands on his pocket and she looked elsewhere immediately.

“You almost killed our friend, why’s that?” He asked with a serious look.

Jace moved closer to Xavier and held his hand.

“It’s prolly a mistake, Edward is fine now” he muttered.

“But what if Edward wasn’t fine, what if he actually died, how can she give him spices to eat, don’t she know what allergy mean??” Xavier replied in a hard tone.

Lucky’s eyes were already teary.

“But she didn’t know right?” Dominic said with one of his brows raised up.

“Edward didn’t you tell her about your allergy to spicy and salty food?” Xavier faced Edward and asked.

A tear drop fell off Lucky’s eyes but she wipped it off immediately.

“Don’t scold her okay? Scold me instead because she didn’t know about my allergy and I didn’t tell her!” Edward frowned.

Xavier ruffled his hair and shook his head before walking out of the clinic in a frustrated way.

“Edward you rest more, we’ll come check up on you later and Lucky even though one don’t tell you they are allergy to something, try limiting the amount of spice and salt you add in a food, okay?” Dominic said and she nodded.

He tapped her shoulder twice before leaving.

“Let’s go outside” Jace took Lucky’s hands and Edward’s gaze rested there.

His eyes kept following them as they went out. Weirdly that wasn’t a pleasant scene in his eyes but he shook it off.

Lucky kept crying on her way outside that Jace had to stop and look at her.

“Is it because of Xavier?” He asked and she shook her head.

“Edward?” He asked and she nodded before wiping her tears and looking at him.

“Xavier is right, what if he died outside, I don’t know why I act too stùpid sometimes!” She continued crying.

Jace stared at her but was somehow clenching his fist. Is she crying and insulting herself like this because of Edward.

“That’s enough, Edward is fine now” he said slowly.

“If anything had happened to him, I wouldn’t have forgiven myself!” She cried even more harder.

Jace didn’t know what to do but he just pulled her for a hug instead.

“It’s alright, everyone makes mistake” he muttered as he slowly rubbed on her hair and back.

After a while, Lucky has already calm down.

“Thank you for staying with me” she muttered and looked at his shirt that was already stained with her tears.

Jace caught her eyes and smiled immediately.

“Don’t worry about the shirt, have you eating? I can get you something” he asked.

“I’ll eat in my hostel, it’s getting late” she replied and looked at the sky that was already turning dark.

“Okay I’ll walk you then” Jace said and Lucky nodded and the two of them began finding their way back to the girls hostel.

The journey was quite but it was comfortable because they both have different things they were thinking of.

While Lucky was thinking about earlier, Jace was thinking about what to do now that he’s with her.

They finally got to the girls hostel.

“Thank you for escorting me, I’ll get going in” Lucky forced a smile and was about to go in but Jace suddenly held her hand.

She turned to look at him confusedly.

“Uhhh.. your phone number” he said awkwardly.

Lucky smiled and collected his phone from his pocket, she typed her number and gave it back to him.

“Thanks, I’ll call you later” he said.

“Okay, good night” Lucky waved at him before entering inside.

Jace stared at his phone and smiled to himself.

“So you two are a thing now?” A familiar voice sounded from behind and he turned back to see Jenis looking at him.

“Not yet but I’m making moves slowly by slowly” he winked and she chuckled.

“So how have you been? I haven’t seen you since” he asked.

She scoffed and looked elsewhere.

“I’ve been here but you forgot to call me, I’m guessing Lucky is taking up all your time” she replied.

Jace stared at her speechlessly but she suddenly laughed it off.

“I was joking, I’ve been around but always on the low” she replied and he nodded.

“I’ll see you tomorrow in the field then, good night” she waved and went in.

Jace looked at that direction of Lucky’s room before smiling and leaving.

When Jace got to the room, he met Dominic sitting on the chair and pressing his laptop.

Xavier was not in the room while Edward was still at the clinic.

“What are you doing?” Jace came to sit beside him.

“It’s boring alone so I decided to play a little game” he replied.

Jace nodded but his eyes caught a painting in a paper and he picked it up.

“Give it back!” Dominic immediately grabbed it but Jace had already seen what is in.

“Why do you have a picture of Gwan? I thought you liked Naomi?” He muttered.

“First of all, it’s Gwen and I don’t like Naomi, we were just friends” he rolled his eyes.

“Wow, you two were pretty close so I’m guessing friends with benefits?” Jace asked with a smile.

“Stop asking silly questions, there was no benefit in our friendship” he replied.

‘Except getting close to Gwen’ his inner self added but he shook it off.

“But you like Gwen? The painting says it all” Jace replied and took the picture again.

Dominic collected it back from him.

“It’s really complicated” he said.

“I love complicated things” Jace smiled and Dominic sighed.

“You bug more than a woman I hope you know that?” He said tiredly.

“I didn’t but I do now” he replied with a smile.

Dominic sighed again and dropped the painting on the table.

“She’s really complicated, she’s like the toughest girl I’ve ever seen because I don’t understand, at one point it’s like she likes me at another point it’s like she doesn’t and just when I’m going with my final decision…” He trailed off and looked at the painting.

“She came along and confused me again, I don’t even know what to do? I don’t know if I should chase after her let things be the way it want to be, I don’t know what’s holding her back from being with me if she actually likes me as much as I do or should I sing to the whole school about my feelings for her before she accepts” he sighed and looked at Jace.

Jace kept looking at him and blinking without saying anything.

“What do you think I should do?” Dominic asked with a frown.

“Uhm..” Jace scratched the back of his neck nervously and still let out a nervous laughter.

“Maybe you should just… Look men I have nothing to say, I’m sorry” he replied and immediately flew off the chair when Dominic took the pillow that’s next to him and threw it.

“Freak, you just wasted my time” he shook his head and looked at the painting of Gwen again.
