Nigel was having a hard time trying to get something from the kitchen cabinet when he heard the door.
Paul left for work already which leaves him alone in the house.
He went to get the door and was surprise to see Elena there.
“Hello Nigel” Elena greet, walking into the apartment with some groceries in hand.
“Why are you here?” Nigel ask, closing the door.
“To bring you this. I figured that your brother will be at work which is why I’m here” Elena answered.
“You shouldn’t have bothered and shouldn’t you be at school?”
“I have no classes today and since it’s my final year, I’m rarely busy. What would you like to eat? I can cook it for…”
“Did Emma send you here?” Nigel ask.
“My sister didn’t send me, I came because I was worried. Emma told me how things are between you two, do you intend to keep things this way?” Elena ask.
“I won’t talk about my relationship with Emma!” Nigel snap.
“Oh, sorry” Elena said, feeling hurt.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to snap at you. It’s just that…”
“It’s just that you are hesitating. If you want to have her by your side then do so and if you don’t then tell it to her directly instead of telling someone else to do it. I call that being a coward” Elena said, her temper rising.
“Emma and I will handle our problem. You don’t have to concern yourself with it”
“Why can’t I? Emma is my sister and you are my…my friend” Elena said, hesitating at that friend part.
“Friend? You know we can’t ever be friends?” Nigel said softly.
“Is it because of what happen between us? I thought we agreed to forget about it?”
“Forget? Do you know how guilty I feel whenever I see Emma? I had to lie to her and pretend everything is fine but deep down, I felt like an @sshole ” Nigel said with pent up feeling and frustration.
“You aren’t the only one who feels guilty, alright!” Elena yell at him.
“Look, we both agreed to stay away from each other and we’ve been doing that for the past two years, let’s keep it that way”
“So, I shouldn’t even care about you?” Elena ask.
“You shouldn’t. Please leave, I need to do some urgent things” Nigel said, giving her the marching order.
Elena stare at him, tears brimming in her eyes and then she took her bag and left.

“This is unfair” Cathy cry out while stamping her leg.
They were in her Porsche and while her manager drive her to her next appointment, Cathy kept complaining.
“I mean what exactly did I do wrong for him to do this to me” Cathy said again.
“Common, Being the face for a new game product is not that bad. You will be the main character of the game and it will give you more publicity” Cora, Cathy’s manager said.
“Are you kidding me right now?” Cathy ask, her temper rising.
“I’m sorry but it’s just that with your recent scandal and with the boss angry, you will just have to take this offer or you will be left with nothing ” Cora told her.
“But I told you, that darn Cesar ask for whatever we did to him. Why must I take the blame for it!”
“You should have been more patient. You are a public figure and people look up to you” Cora said, halting the car in front of Dynamic game company.
“Hang on a sec! Isn’t this…”
“Yes, it’s the game company that belongs to the prince. You should be happy since you get to work with your crush” Cora said and Cathy smile.
“But that doesn’t change the fact that I hate you and the boss. How can you do this to me” Cathy said, grumbling.
“And I love you no matter how much you hate me. Let’s go in since they will be briefing us on how things work” Cathy told her.
Together they went into the company only to be flock by some of the employees wanting to get Cathy’s autograph.
She’s a star after all, Cathy thought as she write down her signature on their book.
“Okay, enough with the autograph. Everyone back to work” An authoritative voice said and immediately, everyone disperse.
“Hello Miss Cathy, I’m Kate Brown, the executive director of Dynamic. I was told about your project with us and since the boss isn’t in…”
“The boss meaning the prince, right?” Cathy ask and the lady gave a nod.
“His highness is rarely around since he has other things to attend to which is why I will be the one attending to you. Let’s go to my office to talk some more ” Kate said.
Cathy was about to follow Kate when someone on the second floor catch her attention.
“Is he working here?” Cathy ask, starring at Paul who was busy having a serious conversation with a guy on the second floor.
“Which one of them?” Kate ask.
“The handsome one” Cathy reply.
“He just became a full time employee and he works in the design department. Why do you ask?”
“Well, he’s just someone I know and one more thing. Will he be working with us on this project?” Cathy ask.
“Since he is part of the design department, he’s definitely going to be a part of the team” Kate reply.
“Okay then” Cathy said, hiding a smile.
She gave Paul a quick look before going into the elevator which whisk them up to Kate office.
