One of karan’s car alighted in a beautiful environment. Rella looked through the tilted window with a smile. Heaven knows how much she has missed home.

Des alighted from the car and open the door for her.

Rella walk majestically as she admired the environment. It was quiet and no one could be seen passing.

She missed living here with her aunt and niece. She smile as her childhood memories replayed on her head.

“Mrs boss” Des called snapping her off her thought.

Rella stare at him “Yes mr boss do you want something?” she muttered.

“Please call me when you’re done” He said with his eyes on the floor.

“Okay sir” She replied, giving him an unpleasant smile.

“I should take my leave now” He responded quickly.

Rella shook her head “Please! Please!! Please!!! leave now” She joined her both palms together.

Des entered the car and drove off.

Rella climbed the three stairs Infront of her before ringing the bell. Not less than thirteen seconds the door opened revealing jasmine.

“Good day sis” jasmine greeted giving rella a passionate hug.

Rella couldn’t reciprocate the hug, she was looking like someone that just saw a ghost.

Its been four years she last saw her, ever since jasmine left for school, she never bothered visiting home, not to even attend her wedding.

Jasmine retaliated from the hug and ambled her gaze on her.

“Sis” jasmine called, resting her back against the door.

“Jas, where have you been? ” Rella sked surprisingly.

Jasmine smiled “let’s go in first sis” She pulled her in before shutting the door.

Rella drop her bag on the couch before sitting down comfortably waiting to hear everything.

She wouldn’t lie she missed her a lot. Whenever she asked her aunt about her, she is always saying -she’s fine but have return back home.

Ever since jasmine got admission, home has been really boring for her. She was grateful Karan married her on time.

Jasmine sat on the floor eating chips.

Rella smiled, seeing the way jasmine sat on the cold tiles made her missed her more, she haven’t changed one bit.

Both of them loved sitting on the cold tiles to watch movies and the chips wasn’t left out.

Rella took to her feet taking her jacket off remaining just the small singlet she was wearing in. She sat beside jasmine on the floor making jasmine giggles.

“I thought you no longer do stuff like this, mrs wealth” jasmine teased. Rella gave her a light slap on the cheek earning a frown from her

“What was that for?” She asked.

Rella smiled. She was acting like a baby now.

“I can slap you whenever I want, don’t forget am still your big sis” Rella smiled. Both cackling laughed giving eachother a affectionate hug.

“I missed you so much sis, I was having a hard time but everything is fine now” jasmine said resting her head on rella’s shoulder.

Rella gave her a kiss on the forehead “I’m glad you’re home now”.

“I miss you so much aunty rella” Jasmine held her hand.

“I missed you more” Rella kissed her forehead again.

The atmosphere was silent as they focused on the big screen Infront of them, eating from the chips.

“Where’s aunt?” Rella asked after some moment.

It’s been Twenty four minutes since she arrived and haven’t set her eyes on her.

Rella had thought she was busy doing something in but no. If her aunty was around, she will surely come here to bless her first before going back in. What a funny aunt.

“Mom went to pray, she should be back by now cause she left two hours back” jasmine guessed.

“Pray? but” The door opened, interrupting her words.

“Aunt” Rella called and sprang to her feet approaching her with jasmine tracing behind her gently.

“Greetings aunt”

“Bless you dear” aunty Christina dressed rella’s hair neatly.

Rella smiled, what a funny aunt she loves blessing everyone around her.

Yes, Aunty christina is a christian. She always believe in God no matter the circumstances, her faith in God grows bigger everyday mostly during crisis.

Though she lost her husband and her only sister which is Rella’s mom, she had never for once questioned God or doubt him. Instead, she’ll pray to him to give her the strength to overcome the pain and beg him to protect the rest of the family she has left cause she have been through a lot lately.

Rella loved her and her daughter like herself and she promised to always shower them with more love.

“Has it been long you came?” Aunty Christina asked checking her wrist watch.

Both girls smile knowing the reason she asked. She was worried for no reason again what a funny woman.

“No aunt, but I snapped on something already” Rella replied opening her palm.

“let me drop this upstair so I can prepare something delicious for you both” Aunty christina shuddered looking tired.

“But aunt, jasmine still doesn’t know how to cook?” Rella Sighed Surprisingly, making jasmine frown.

Aunty christina glanced at them both “No, she came back yesterday” she walked away.

Rella gave jasmine a little slap on the cheek and jasmine screamed.

“Sis”

“Go and learn how to cook, marriage can knock on your door any time from now” Rella smiled. Of course she can’t wait for her to get married soon.

“But sis it doesn’t matter if I learn now or after marriage” jasmine grunted.

“Who told you it doesn’t matter? Except your spouse his an understanding person maybe he can hire a cook” Rella muttered sitting on the couch.

“Understanding or not, if he know how to cook, he will be the one to teach me” jasmine giggled excitedly.

“Keep on imagining, am going to help aunt in the kitchen make sure you tidy the living room” Rella prated softly.

Jasmine smirked “What a drama queen she was becoming, neatly mrs wealth”

Lydia walked towards them placing a peck on Christopher’s lips, before sitting on an empty couch.

“You’re looking so beautiful today dear. You’re looking more younger everyday ” Mrs kris complimented her.

Lydia smiled awkwardly “Thank you ma”.

“Stop calling me ma, am your soon to be mother in-law” Mrs Kris corrected with a smile.

“Okay mom, but is everything alright” Lydia asked staring at Christopher who was busy with his phone.

Christopher was looking tensed. Lydia knew something might had happened before she walked in.

“Chris” Lydia called.

“I can hear you” christopher gritted softly.

Mrs kris stared at him angrily and narrowed her eyes back on lydia “My dear, Chris and I had been busy doing the house chores and it’s making Chris worried because am too old for all this” Mrs Kris prated softly.

Lydia release a sigh of relief as she had thought it was something else.

“Don’t worry mom, I will get you a house-help as soon as possible ” Lydia assured.

Mrs Kris smiled in amusement standing to her feet to give her a warm hug.

“Thank you dear, my son made a right choice for the first time” Mrs kris meek a smile.

“Please don’t mention mom, you’re like a mother to me now” Lydia said with a straight face as they disentangled from the hug.

“Chris aren’t you going to thank her” Mrs kris retort, she waited for a reply which she never got.

Christopher took in a deep breath and stood up, he inserted his hands into his trouser and sighed. Lydia was nervous.

“Thank you babe” Christopher mumbled and lydia and mrs Kris smiled triumphantly.

“Don’t mention” lydia smiled, spreading her hands for a hug and christopher clutched onto her.

“I’ll take my leave now” Lydia muttered disentangled from the hug?

“You just arrived” Mrs Kris said frowning.

“Yes I know, I need to work on something ma, please next time ” Lydia guaranteed.

“No problem just take care of yourself that matters most” Mrs kris pleaded with a smile.

“Thank you” Lydia replied before walking through the exit door.

Christopher sat back on the couch burying his face against his palms.

Mrs Kris sat beside him surprisingly, Christopher was acting strange and that baffles her.

“Christopher what th” Christopher chipped in.

“Mom! We shouldn’t depend on her for everything it’s making me feel less of a man” he blurted coldly

“You aren’t happy she decided to help us unlike that your selfish ex-girlfriend named melody. Am grateful you ended things with her” she snapped.

“Mom she isn’t selfish” Christopher took in a deep breath “She paid Your hospital’s bill when I couldn’t afford it. She gave us this house and helped us with the little she had.

Mrs Kris laughed disappointingly “Who told you if she haven’t done any of that, no one would have done it. Son, she is know longer important to us anymore just cheer up while I bring you your favorite meal ” Mrs kris smiled, approaching the kitchen.

💤💢•°CHRISTINA’S RESIDENCE°•💤💢

Aunty christina was washing the dishes while Rella was chopping the veggies.

She was so excited chopping the veggies with her family beside her. She missed them so much.

“Rella” Aunty Christina called, with her gaze on the dishes.

“Yes aunty” Rella replied placing the veggies she chopped aside.

She approached her, collecting the dried plate from her, placing it carefully on the stand rack.

“How is your relationship with your husband?” aunty Christina asked, Rella grew silent.

“Is everything alright?” Mrs Christina questioned.

“karan and I are fine”

Aunty Christina faced her“ What’s the problem dear?”.

Rella leaned against the kitchen cabinet and quietly sobbed “Aunty I feel like Karan is cheating on me”.

Aunty Christina froze instantly on the spot, unable to believe her ears “dear! What made you think he’s cheating on you?”

“Karan always travels, sometimes I won’t see him for seven good months and when he comes back, he’s never at home. This morning, he left home so early it feels like am a burden to him now” Rella stuttered. Hitting her palm on her forehead in furiousness “Can you imagine a lady always sent him text messages every night and this morning, I over heard him telling matthew he was going to pay her a visit today” she added.

“I understand dear, but by now you should understand your husband better than anyone. He’s a military man and distance is just a test to see how far true love can travel” Aunty christina clicked her tongue “Rella you had been there for him even when he gave up on everything, you helped him and made him the talk of the world today” she added

Whatever karan his today, was all rella’s doings. She’s the reason he’s the man he’s today.

Rella sighed, ruffling her hair “That’s what am beginning to regret today aunt. My husband gave his time to the society what about his marriage?” she blurted coldly, unable to suppress the anger that was eating inside of her.

“Have you both had a couple time together?” Aunty Christina asked despondently.

“Yes, aunt. But he’s always arguing with me whenever I start a conversation”

“Let me tell you a secret. Whenever you want to have a sweet conversation with your partner, make sure both of you are in a good mood. Don’t just jump into conclusion that he’s cheating on you without any proof my dear.

“Not all men cheat my dear, just because they happen to have bad eggs among them doesn’t mean they are all one.

“You both can talk about something funny, gist or ask questions on how to make the marriage more enjoyable, or don’t you want kids yet?.

“If you are a nagging partner all the time, stop now and try to be an understanding partner. Ask questions all the time about his day and what went wrong and what didn’t go wrong. Nagging him all the time wouldn’t make him want to stay home. He’ll start going outside and might be lucky enough to find a listening ears and a comfort zone from a stranger” aunty Christina lectured, earning a hard gaze from Rella.

“Aunt you wouldn’t understand, Karan his cheating and I know it. Just that I don’t have any evidence to justify my doubt”

“And if you do, what would you do?” aunty Christina asked knotting her brows “Are you going to divorce him because of cheat?” she added icily. She waited for a reply which she never got.

“Why answer? Sometimes, you are the one creating your own heartbreak because I just don’t know why you’re looking for evidence to justify your doubt. What are you going to use it for? Why do you want evidence? Rather than gathering proof if he’s cheating, why don’t you use that time to build-up your home?.

“There’s nothing like a perfect home my daughter” aunty Christina smiled cupping her cheeks “Your marriage is more than a year and you’re doubting your partner what about the courtship you both had for ten years? Why didn’t you doubt him all through the ten years of knowing him? he had never loved any woman other than anna” she drawled “May her soul rest in peace” she didn’t say a word for some minute.

Aunty Christina usually hate talking about the dead. She felt pain whenever she talks about people that are no more.

Though she heard annabella betrayed Karan, she wasn’t happy hearing she died during the process. She had loved that soul so much and still can’t believe she did that.

“Like I was saying, have you for once caught Karan with another woman all through those years?” Aunty Christina asked tenderly.

“No aunt but he’s doing it now” Rella muttered.

“There’s no way a man can hide cheating for ten years and you wouldn’t know, it’s impossible. A man you haven’t seen with any lady other than annabella can never cheat on his partner” aunty Christina assured her. Focusing on the dishes.

“My childhood friend lydia is divorced now, she has been doubting her husband of been a cheat for years now and he proved her right the day she caught him in a hotel with another lady – what if my own accusation turns out right aunt? She warned me not to ever trust my husband aunt and she’s right” Rella shuddered shakily.

Aunty Christina stopped what she was doing and ambled her gaze to her, after gotten a glimpse of her, she shook her head disappointedly “What’s your business with her? She divorced him doesn’t mean you should do same and by the way, have you been discussing your marriage issues with your friends?” Aunty Christina fury angrily.

“Yes aunt” Rella gulped down her spit.

Aunty Christina placed her palm on her forehead disappointedly.

She had never for once educated rella about marriage stuffs. She thought she was still too young and there’s more time to prepare her for marriage. She wished she had done that earlier.

“My baby girl, it’s good to talk to friends about some problems, but they are some things we should never tell outsiders. Stop discussing your marriage with Your friends they will start seeing him just the way you described him.

“Whenever you’ve a misunderstanding with your spouse, rather than seeking solution or advice from your friend lydia that wasn’t able to fixed her marriage, talk to your spouse because he’s the answer to the question you seek for and he’s the solution to it. Anything you do in life, whether good or bad, there will always be someone or some people who doesn’t like it.

“If you want to live long, you must learn to never take people’s opinions beyond ordinary opinions.
If you take them too seriously they would make you begin to live for them and by their opinions until the real you fades into obscurity. ” Aunty christina sighed “ If you notice a sudden backwardness in your life, pause and check if you are living you or them. Don’t take an opinion that will destroy you forever” She added.

“Aunty but” jasmine walked in, interrupting them. Both narrowed their gazes to her.

“Did I miss anything?” jasmine asked excitedly.

“Pack these plates and arrange it” Aunty Christina said pointing towards the dried clean plates on the cabinet.

Jasmine winced in pain with anger masked on her face, her forehead vein could be seen.
“After cleaning the whole living room, I’m feeling exhausted already” jasmine pouted.

Rella smirked, knotting her brows “My dear pack these plates now before I whack you” She threatened, jasmine did as she was told.

“Always the same” jasmine yelled arranging the plate on the stand rack.

“How do you mean? I will let it slide but next time, I wouldn’t forgive you” Rella scolded.

A smile escaped the corner of aunty Christina’s lips “Forgiveness is the key to a successful marriage” she said.

Rella narrowed glance at her with jasmine who was staring at them confusingly before facing what she was doing.

Rella ambled her gaze to jasmine who wasn’t staring and that gave her the go ahead “Aunty, I can’t forgive a cheating partner”

“Same with me mom” Jasmine interfered with her attention on the plates she was arranging. Rella and aunty Christina chuckled at her attitude, she was pretending not to hear them. She had been listening to them even before she walked in.

Jasmine wasn’t a child anymore, that gave aunty christina the go ahead “My beautiful babies, let me tutor you both today” aunty christina sat on the chair beside the cabinet “It’s always good to go with your forgiveness bag into your marriage or relationship, your spouse one day might piss you off…… Yes! He will annoy you, but can you forgive easily?.

“The person you are in love with is human being not Christ he is not perfect, obviously offense will come. The ability to tolerate, forgive, overlook, self controlled and let go is MATURITY. What did Colossians 3:13 and 14 taught us about? ” Aunty christina asked both ladies.

“Hmm, it says, bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the lord forgave us. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity” Jasmine answered and Rella gasped at her in amusement. She knows nothing about the bible and aunty christina had tried building up her spiritual life but it was of no Vail.

“You see, that bible verse talked about forgiveness, forgiveness is an essential ingredients for a healthy marriage. Spouses are bound to disagree, but it’s what each person does with the pain, frustration and resentment that truly counts. It’s important to remember that Christ forgave us and we should also forgive others for their grievances against us _ especially a spouse, it’s essential.

”Aunt” Rella called with a frown “It’s not easy to forgive a cheating partner ”She added, making aunty Christina smirked

“Yes mom, am a lady with dignity and pride, you don’t expect me to forgive someone who hurt my feelings” Jasmine said sincerely.

Aunty christina sighed and took an intake of breath “But He has given us more grace, you can find that scripture In James 4 verse 6.
My babies, you have to pray for grace because pride can be a relationship killer, as it prevents a spouse from seeing the other side, causing the person to only consider selfish emotions and personal views on a particular issues. If pride is a struggle, take it to God, as he can help take away that unpalatable trait because God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.” She prated resting her hand on the kitchen cabinet staring at rella who was looking like someone who haven’t been taking proper care of her health. Her face was pale, she was looking so tiny unlike the Rella that left her home looking so chubby. She felt sad seeing her in this state.

“Rella baby, if marriage life is very difficult for you, my hands her widely opened–you can come back home at anytime I will accept you” She said spreading her arms widely for a hug and rella clutched onto her.

“Mom are you trying to say aunty rella can divorce mr karan?” Jasmine asked, inquisitively

“No my dear, God hate divorce but if anyone should go for it, h
