Karan was at the living room operating on his laptop. He was going for a meeting soon and needed to do some work before leaving.

Annabella was done dressing for school and sat down beside him on the couch. She admired him, Karan was truly a handsome military man, she wished she ends up with him someday.

“You’re going out right?” she asked

Karan was having a brief discussion with few of his men as he waited for the others to join.

Everyone wasn’t paying attention to them as they were celebrating.

“Boss I think I should go get it” Matthew spoke up making Karan gaze at him.

“Unfortunately, they didn’t make it. The late man’s wife came and confirmed the dead bodies. It was her husband and her younger sister” The inspector spat sadly as he wiped the tears that trickled down his cheeks.

He felt pains. How would the lady be feeling now mourning her only husband and sister at same day.

Karan grew silent heading towards his car with his legs shaking badly.
