Melody laid down comfortably on the sofa, chatting and smiling loudly with an ear pod on her left ear and just then Elizabeth walked in.
Melody didn’t take notice of her presence and Elizabeth wasn’t surprised as she knows who was making her laugh out loud hysterically. Well, melody is Lydia’s daughter. A spoilt one as that.
Elizabeth really felt bad for her, how could a young boy be deceiving and using such a cleaver young girl without her notice?
Though melody is spoilt, she never expected her to be this foolish for love.
“Good morning Ms melody” Elizabeth greeted but as usual, there is never a response from her.
She stood in front of her, interrupting her. Melody removed her ear pod without shooting her a glance.
“Goodmorning Ms melody” She greeted again and she responded with a head nod.
“Ms melody, I was so worried about you all through the night. You didn’t come home and didn’t even bother to put a call through to me.” She said furiously.
Melody chuckled unbelievably, she thought she heard her wrong but no, she was actually scolding her like her parents.
Abruptly, she spranged up furiously “As in, are you my parents?” She fury thunderously.
Elizabeth was taken aback. What has she said wrong that got melody angry? “I’m sorry Ms melody, but your dad” melody raised a hand, cutting her off.
“You don’t have to worry cause I know my dad wouldn’t ask about me” She said picking up her phone from the bed.
Indeed, she’s right. This isn’t the first time melody isn’t coming back home, you can’t blame her after hearing her story.
Her parents doesn’t care neither ask about her, for a moment Elizabeth wonder if they’re her biological parents.
Melody is a spoilt 16 years old girl. She lives her life on her own rules without her parents opinion.
After since her parents Mr Charles and Mrs Lydia Kali divorced, she became more spoilt and live her life the way it pleases her.
“Gosh, your dad is around” Elizabeth snapped while melody hissed.
What the heck was that? She wonder why she was telling her. “Is that why you came to my room to annoy me?”
“No, I came to tell you breakfast is…………is ready” she drawled, looking so confused.
“Forget about breakfast, I am having breakfast at my boyfriend’s place” She declined instantly.
“Ok Ms” She nodded before approaching the door.
Elizabeth wanted to stop melody from going to her boyfriend’s place but she can’t. She just can’t afford offending her.
“Wait,” melody’s voice broke in before Elizabeth could think of shutting the door.
“My soap and cream is finished” she said
“Ok ms, I will replace them before evening” She replied before shutting the door.

It’s weekend today as Karan was busy preparing breakfast in the kitchen with rella standing beside him searching for something on her phone.
She was looking furious like she was gonna explore soon. She kept on checking her phone which got Karan wondering if she was expecting a call or a text message.
“My cinderella, are you expecting a call?” He asked with his gaze on the veggies he was chopping
She sneaked a quick look at him before gazing back at her phone “It’s the cleaners. Today is weekend and they haven’t returned my calls yet” she said angrily, trying to call again but was declined.
“That reminds me, where are the servants? I haven’t set my eyes on them since I came twice?” He asked suspiciously when it dawned on him.
She smirked nervously “They aren’t allowed to stay whenever you’re around ”
“Why?”
“Because I don’t trust them. I can’t take that risk by leaving my husband with a male servants” she blurted
“You ain’t serious right?” He asked wiping his hands.
She watched him surprisedly, wondering why he was cleaning his hands when he wasn’t done chopping the veggies.
“Ain’t you cooking again?” She asked
“I’m calling them to resume work now. I paid for their services in this house. Why should we be stressing ourselves when we have workers?
“You don’t have to send them away whenever I’m around, they are like a family to me, all of them havs lived with me for years now and what should I be having with a male servant? You’re behaving childish sometimes” He stated earning an angry glare from her.
“Gosh. Are you saying I am childish?” she asked
“You’re behaving like one, but you are not” he knotted his brows.
“I just can’t believe you look me in the eyes and say I’m behaving childish babe” She fury.
She was overreacting and of course he was the reason for her anger “I will call Matthew to come and finish the cooking” He gazed at her before exiting the door.
“Holly molly” she rested her head on her palm.
She was still yet to believe Karan called her childish and didn’t even render an apology.

Both were done eating as Matthew cleared off the place.
Rella wiped her lips with a serviette while gazing at Karan who wasn’t watching.
“Matthew is really a good cook” She complimented trying to get him jealous.
“Matthew” He scoffed.
“Matthew is a good chef” He complimented as well getting Rella dumbfounded as she smirked.
“No wonder he’s always with you” She snapped waiting for his reply.
“Yap” He nodded none understanding her words as he bored away with his phone.
Abruptly she stood up angrily from the dinning chair, approaching the couch.
She was furious already, how could her husband not even glance at her neither apologize for calling her childish an hour ago at the kitchen.
She was still lost in her thoughts and didn’t even notice Karan’s presence. He sat beside her on the couch and gave her a light peck on the cheek.
She flickered her gaze to him angrily “Why did you do that?”
“For this” He pointed at her
“i don’t get”
“Your attention, it seemed to me you’re lost in your thoughts… So, what were you thinking about?” He asked
“Nothing” She stuttered with an unpleasing smile
He gazed at her calmly, she was acting scaring. After enough stare, he breathed out sharply.
“I have something for you” He uttered in his muscular tone.
“What is that” She grinned.
He placed his hands on her neck making her wonder what he was doing. And just then he unhook the necklace on her neck, bringing it down and dropped it on the couch before bringing out a golden necklace from a red box.
“Babe, what are you doing?” She asked in bewilderment.
A golden stainless steel necklace with a shining key golden accessories that cost a fortune.
“I want you to know that you are the only person I ever want to be with. I would rather cry with you than laugh with anyone else because even tearing with you makes me happy.
“I know my life did not begin with you, but I wish my life should end with you” He uttered sweetly.
He hooked it around her flawless neck and gave her a passionate kiss on the forehead.
“Babe” she called more like a whisper as tears welled in her eyes.
Karan is just the best. He knows how to make her happy whenever she’s sad.
“Do you like it?” He asked and she clicked her tongue wondering who wouldn’t like it.
“Yes babe, I love it” she giggled pulling him for a warm hug.
Rella has been the greatest thing that has ever happen to him.
She’s his world and life. If she happens to leave, his world will crumble.
He was enjoying the warm hug from his wife when the knock on the door interrupted them.
“Your servants are here” rella chuckled.
Karan was disappointedly. Just when he was enjoying his wife’s hold, these people ruined it for him. ” We won’t be needing them any more” He joked with his arms widely open for another round of hug but she stopped him.
“But you called them over right? Hug can wait, let them come in first” she teased. This was a pay back.
“I shouldn’t have called them over. Guess I misunderstood you earlier, now I understand why you never wanted them around whenever I’m around” He pouted like a child.
“You haven’t seen anything yet” she smirked standing to her feet.
“I’m upstairs. “He said leaving the living room.
Karan is someone you can never understand, you really can’t tell if he’s angry or happy.
He’s unpredictable…..
