Jazzy sighed as Myles and Krystal finally joined him.
“Let’s go in” Krystal said, looking at Diva somehow.
“Nope, I can’t go in and leave Bae out here” he replied, and Krystal scoffed as he walked to the guards.
“Hwang Vee? Your band hasn’t debuted, but you guys got an invite too? Money really speaks well” the oldest guard said.
“Can you let them in? They’re idols too” he replied
“Not to sound rude, but I’ve really not heard of that name true love before, and also … I’ll be greatly penalized if I allow any band without an invite inside. I’m also not the only guard here, so it’d be really very hard, the security is tight as usual” the man replied, and Vee sighed before going back to the rest.
He brought out his band invite and took Diva’s hand, placing it on her palm.
“You guys should go in” he said.
“No Vee, what about you and your band?” She replied.
“Vee, what are you doing?” Myles asked behind him.
“Do you think you’re making any sense right now? Vee” Krystal said.
“We haven’t debuted, so we can still bear not attending” Vee replied, and Jazzy came forward

“It’s nothing, you guys should go in” Vee interrupted and faced Diva who was still looking at him in astonishment.

“Have fun” he smiled to cut her off and left, Krystal and Myles followed him.
“Is it right to go in with their card?” Lyric asked
“Of course, he gave it freely, we should thank him after the party” Piper replied, and Diva reluctantly submitted the card to the guard.
“Finally got one?” The man smiled as he scanned it.
He allowed them entry after checking, and they faced manager Kim who was looking so sad.
“Mr. Kim” Jazzy said when he noticed the sadness.
“Isn’t it shameful that even though I came here, I couldn’t do anything to help, I’m so ashamed” he replied, and Jazzy went closer to him.
“It’s not your fault, so scrap that sad face off, Mr. Kim” he said.
“We’re going in now, you should be happy” Lyric said.
“The next time we attend this party, it’s gonna be better, I can feel it” Piper said.
“We’re coming with limousine then, not this jalopy bus, and we’d have made you proud before then” Diva added.
“Sure, y’all should go in” Mr. Kim smiled eventually, and Jazzy returned it before facing the rest.
“Let’s move” he said, and they all went in at once.
“Vee, explain what you just did to me in one word, make me understand” Krystal said when they got back to the car
“Guys, I’m sorry, I…
“Sorry? We came here all dressed for the party after getting the invite! But you ruined it by giving out our card to the band of your crush?” She interrupted, and Vee faced her slowly.
“Crush?”
“Don’t try to fool me! I know you’ve had a crush on her since years ago and it’s f**king obvious! I’m not blind so it’s not something you can successfully hide!” She shouted.
“Calm down, Krystal…
“Don’t tell me what to do! Haven’t you always been ignoring me cos of her? Do you know why I travelled to California after we finished training? Cos I wanted to forget about my feelings for you but yunno what? It didn’t work! Coming back to see you still head over heels for that girl is even making me want you more!” Krystal yelled, and tears rushed out of her eyes immediately.
“Krystal” Vee tried to touch her, but she shifted back and stormed out of the car before he could reach her.
“Krystal!” Myles rushed down too, but she was already gone in a taxi, so he sighed and faced Vee who was just coming out of the car, looking guilty again.
“You know what I dislike about your personality? The fact that you always look guilty after doing bad, I can’t even get mad at you even if I want to. What you did back there was degrading, I know you like her too, you’re in love with your bestie, isn’t it?” Myles said, and Vee only looked on, not letting a word out of his mouth.
“I’ll go to Krystal, she needs someone to calm her down cos I’m sure she’s still in tears. I should have stopped her from coming back” Myles said again and called for a ride.
It arrived in minutes, and he left in it.
Vee stayed beside the car, staring helplessly into space.
His phone suddenly dinged, and when he saw it’s a text from Diva, he quickly opened it.

He smiled and typed a reply.
•It’s nothing, enjoy your night and let’s talk tomorrow morning.
Diva sighed after reading the text, then she joined the others as they finally got to the main hall.
“Phones aren’t allowed, miss” a guard blocked her.
“Gosh! I forgot the rule!” She gasped.
Anything that happens in the party must not get out, and that’s why there’s no single camera in the hall, and there’s no phone to snap the memories, then there’s a camera detector by the big main door to scan the body of everyone who comes in for hidden cameras.

Diva gave her phone to the guard after turning it off, and she finally got to take a look at the large hall.
She should be gasping and wowing at the crowd of mingling idols she’s seeing, but maybe she’s hard to surprise, she’s not moved.
She’s just like she said, creating her own standards to follow and not gasping at others, she believes she’s still gonna be where they are or probably climb higher.
She only smiled lightly, and Lyric rushed to her.
“They’re all so pretty, I mean the female idols, and the males are so hot” Lyric said, unable to shut her mouth.
“You’re pretty too, Jazzy and Freddy are hot” Diva replied.
“Was about to say that, so what if they’re wearing expensive outfits? I don’t care” Piper said, and Diva smiled as the guys joined them.
“I’ve never been in the midst of celebrities before, all my life” Freddy said.
“What do you mean? We’re celebrities too, we’re just no known yet” Jazzy replied.
“What makes us celebs if we’re not known yet?” Lyric replied, and they all laughed before focusing on the hall again.
No one recognizes them as expected, they’re sidelined by every idol who walks past them, seems they’re the only band who’s alone in the hall, every other band is mingling.
“By the way, I’ve not seen H. O. T or MOONLIGHT” Piper said.
“Ion think they’re attending, they’ve never attended like I heard” Freddy said.
“I heard they’re attending this year, for real” Lyric said, and almost immediately, the attention of half of the idols turned to the door as MOONLIGHT came in, led by Pinkie.
They looked f**king pretty as usual, and they’re all wearing pretty smiles, waving at the other idols as they walked, but only the others are doing this, the leader (Pinkie) looked expressionless and cold as usual, refusing to bow exchange greetings, another way of saying she’s greater than all the idols in here.
They gained attention completely, and the others didn’t stop admiring them, especially Lyric and Piper.
When they were about to walk past, Lyric suddenly blocked them.
“Hi girls, I’m Lyric from TRUE LOVE, and I’ve been following you guys since you debuted, though I’m a fellow idol, but I won’t stop stanning y’all, believe me” she said plainly, and Pinkie scoffed before coming closer to her.
“You’re a fellow idol? Isn’t that too disrespectful? You’re too low for that name, and your band is not even recognized so step aside” she said and pushed Lyric away to the shock of everyone.
Lyric fell on her butt, and it was Freddy who rushed to help her up.
“Lyric! Are you ok?”
“I’m fine” she replied, and he looked up at Pinkie who was still standing there.
Their eyes met just like it did at the agency the other time, and she gave him a short stare again before starting to leave, but Jazzy walked to her.
“She was just trying to show some respect, it’s true that she’s below your level but there are several options to show disapproval than pushing her away” he said.
“I have nothing to say to you” she replied and left with her girls, leaving everyone speechless once again.
