Mariah smiled, and waved at Rachel who also waved back at her, but her sad expression still remained.
Rachel glared at her husband (Mr Baldwin), making sure they locked gaze, before storming back to their room.
“I guess I’m in a deep shît, and no one’s gonna save me today”
Mariah chuckled at his words, then tapped his shoulder encouragingly.
“I’ll should be leaving, take care everyone” she grabbed her luggages, and headed towards the door, with her sons following up.
“We’ll see you off” Mrs Jackson said as she rushed after Mariah, and dragging Fatima along.
Nanny Pamela and Mr Baldwin watched them, until they’re out, then nanny Pamela held Duncan’s hand and led him to a sofa.
“Have a seat” she told him.
He nodded and sat down.
“Nanny, is there something you wanna tell me?” he asked her.
Nanny Pamela stayed silent for a moment, she stared in his eyes and sighed.
“Duncan, do you know your parents’ story?” she asked him.
“My parents’ story?” he asked her back.
“Yes, the story of how they met, and how they fell in love”
He frowned slightly, but nodded anyway.
“My mom told me about it, she said grandfather didn’t approve of their marriage”
“Then did she tell you who your father is?”
He set his lips on thin lines as he studied her, he knew she’s ready to tell him everything she knows, this is what he’s been waiting for, but strangely enough, he’s scared of hearing what she want to tell him.
“She didn’t tell you, did she?”
He shook his head slowly.
“I know your father’s heartless, and greedy, I know he married your mom for our father’s wealth but…”
“Hold on a sec” he cut her, and frowned. “Our father?” he asked.
“Yes”
His frown deepened even more, confusion can clearly be seen written all over his face.
“What do you mean? You’re…”
“Yes, I am. I’m your mother’s elder sister, and your aunt”
“My aunt?” he looked at her perplexedly. “But mom never… ” he trailed off.
His mouth fell open as he recalled something, then his eyes widened as realization dawned on him and he pointed at her.
“It’s you mom had been telling me about? Her sister who ran away from home because of grandpa?”
“Yes”
“Fuçking diçkhead!” he exclaimed, but earned a glare from nanny Pamela.
“Language, Mr Baldwin” she said sternly. “Let’s forget about my identity for now, and talk about more important things”
Mr Baldwin nodded.
“From what I know, your father can be everything but his wife’s murderer. Yes, at first he married your mother because of our father’s wealth, but he later fell in love with her, so, I don’t think he’s your mother’s murderer” she said.
“Then who killed my mother?”
“It must be his mistress, and I don’t know her”
“Fu…” he cut himself off when nanny Pamela threw him another glare. “Who’s my father? You know him, right?”
“Yes”
“Who is he?” he asked impatiently.
“Your father is…”
“Mr Baldwin” Lucas called as he pushed the door open, and rushed in, interrupting Nanny Pamela which made Mr Baldwin frown at him.
“This better be important, or I’ll put your head on display in my playroom!” he growled.
Lucas’ eyes widened, and he gulped in fear but he stated his business anyway.
“We’ve found out who your father is”
“My father?”
Lucas nodded.
“Who is he?”
He (Lucas) scrolled through his phone for a few seconds, then handed it to Mr Baldwin who stared at the screen with a very deep scowl, even his grip on the phone tightened that one would think the phone would break in a minute.
He slowly turned to nanny Pamela with a raised eyebrow, turning the screen towards her and she nodded in affirmation.
“We just found out that Mr Faris Ferrari is your father, sir…”
“Bloody b@stard!” Mr Baldwin growled as he angrily smashed Lucas’ phone on the ground. “The b@stard bloody lied to me for six fuçking years!” he growled.
“Sir, my phone… ”
He cut Lucas off by grabbing him by his collar, and his (Mr Baldwin’s) glaring eyes looked directly in Lucas’.
“Get my car ready, we’re gonna wake him up from his coma today!” with that he pushed Lucas off, and dashed upstairs, towards their room.

“My heartbeat” Mr Baldwin called as he rushed into their room, but he was met with silence.
He rushed towards their bed, but it was empty and his wife’s clothes were scattered on the bed.
He concluded she must be taking a bath, then he rushed towards their bathroom and stood outside the door, he knocked on the door a twice.
“My heartbeat, are you in there?” he asked, but there still wasn’t no response.
His brows furrowed and he knocked on the door again a few times.
“Rachel, are you in there?”
Still no response.
“Hey, I’m gonna come in if you don’t say nothing”
He waited for a few seconds, but there wasn’t no response. He quickly pushed the door open and entered the bathroom, his eyes went straight to the bathtub and his frown deepened when he realized she wasn’t there.
“My heartbeat” he called loudly, and rushed out.
His eyes searched the room frantically even though it’s obvious she wasn’t in the room, until his eyes landed on a note laying on the bedside table.
He skipped forward and reached for it, his hands began shaking when his eyes captured the first line.
‘Duncan, before see this, I’ll be long gone and I might never come back.
Forgive me for leaving without a word, but I think it’s (our marriage) no longer working for us.
I’m trying to be strong, I’m trying to understand you and your way of living, but it seems like no matter how hard I try, I still can’t get it right.
The more I’m trying to know you, the stranger you are to me.
I guess we need some time off this marriage, we need some time to breath and think about ourselves, this is better for us.
Maybe the problem isn’t you, maybe it isn’t me either, maybe it’s us because it seems like us (we) weren’t meant to be -I guess we’re fighting against destiny.
I don’t wanna fight no more, because as it is, I have forgotten what I’m fighting for.
I have signed the divorce papers, be sure to sign them too. Don’t worry about our baby, I’ll keep and cater for him.

He looked at the table, and saw Rachel’s credit card. He squeezed the note and threw it at a wall, then grabbed the bedside table and threw it across the room, not caring what is collided with.
“Noooooooo!” he roared.

Meanwhile Fatima, Mrs Jackson and nanny Pamela were sitting in the living room, and discussing about how they were already Mariah’s kids and their troubles.
Then they suddenly heard a very loud crash from Mr Baldwin’s room, they sprang up at once as fear and worry overwhelmed them.
They rushed towards the room, with the same thought on each of their minds -Mr Baldwin and his wife are fighting.
“Duncan, are you… good heavens!” Nanny Pamela exclaimed, and jumped out of the way as Mr Baldwin threw a glass table towards their direction.
“M-mr Baldwin…”
Fatima’s words were stuck in her throat as Mr Baldwin wrapped his hand around her neck, and slammed her against a wall.
“Duncan, you’re gonna kill her” Mrs Jackson exclaimed, but he ignored her.
“My wife, my wife and son are gone!” he growled in Fatima’s face. “My family’s gone!” he growled more and let go of her, making her fall in a thud.
Mrs Jackson and nanny Pamela rushed towards her, and helped her up.
“Rachel, left?” Fatima asked coughing slightly, not even bothering to check if she was hurt.
“She’s gone, my family’s gone, I need my family right now, I need my family!” he shouted.
He searched his pocket, he pulled out some keys and pushed them out of his way, then headed downstairs.
“Where are you going, Duncan?” Nanny Pamela asked.
“I’m going to look for my family!” he snapped, then he was out of sight.
Nanny Pamela and Mrs Jackson exchanged surprised looks, while Fatima was just deeply in thoughts.
“No, I’ll go search for her too, she might do something stupid”
“Where are you going start looking for her?” Mrs Jackson asked.
“Anywhere, I must find her or Mr Baldwin will turn into a maniac and his killing spree mode will be activated” then she dashed out too.
Nanny Pamela sighed tiredly.
“I wonder what Duncan would do if Rachel isn’t found”
“Let’s just hope she’s found” Mrs Jackson chipped in.
