While the cry was still high in the house, a phone call came in through the land line. Elder Ahuja rushed and picked it up.
“hello” he said “ who is this?”
The inspector gave him a signal, to put it on loud speaker so he did.
“I am holding your daughter hostage” so the voiced said.
Ami’s parent started crying aloud
“give Ami the phone if you are holding her hostage” Elder Ahuja said
“daddy” Ami shouted
“Ami’ I shouted “ Ami I promise on my life that I will save you”
“Am waiting for you brother, I am wa….” Before she could completed her sentence the phone was taken away from her.
“Ami” Elder Ahuja called.
“Now you believe” the voice uttered “ I just want you to bring the sum of 20 million rupees, to new Delhi University. There will be a red car across the road, put it in the trunk and leave then your daughter will come back to you in peace and don’t involve the police.”

While Elder Ahuja and the police were planning on how to attack, I went to my room to plan my own attack. In all I never forgot to read my book very essential.
The next day I left the house very early in the morning. I reached school around 7am just to go and check whether the car was truly there. When I reached it was not there, I had to go to prepare for my test in the school. The test was scheduled to start by 9:30. I pray God will help me to write this exam because right now I am disorganized, I am thinking on how to save my best friend, who is in trouble and the other one my test at 9:30am.
While in the hall, few minutes to the test Krishna walked up to me.

While we were talking, I heard gun shot from outside. I asked Krishna whether she heard it too and she said yes. I hurriedly went outside to see while I told Krishna to stay back. I saw people running, student running up and down, I went in and held Krishna by the hands for us to escape. She was so frightened. The kidnapper because of the police ran into our school with there guns. While in the school they engaged the police in gun fight. Fired bullet killed lots of student. The earth drank a lot of blood. It rained blood.
“please I don’t want to die” Krishna said in fear.
I refused to let her go we laid low to avoid fired bullet. While going with Krishna I saw them holding Ami. The worst part she stretched her hands calling for my help. I couldn’t bare to see her been taking before me eyes so I went to save her. Krishna was shouting my name but I paid deaf ear to her shouting. I didn’t know how to use a gun but I carried one from one of the members of the gang laying dead on the ground. They took Ami, Krishna and other students who were already in the hall and those they capture so as to prevent the police from firing their gun, into one hall.
When I left to save Ami, Krishna in trying to come and help me was caught by one of the gang members.
“I did not know how to use the gun but I definitely know how to use my hands, I be nija boy na.” so I said to myself when the gun was knocked out of my hands and I was to face the man one on one. The man saw me as a small boy so he dropped his gun and knocked off my own gun from my hands.
I fought with some of the criminals. One carried the gun to shoot at me, for my defense I rushed and carried the one next to me then fired first while my eyes was closed. That Was the first time I have ever killed someone.
“ God forgive me” I prayed.
The hall they entered was facing the direction to the school gate and it was close, am sure it is locked from inside. I went back to stand with the inspector. They used microphone to talk while in the hall.
“ if you don’t provide safe passage for us we will rape and kill the girls and boys in this hall.” They said.
To me I think the head of the gang was the one talking. I was standing with the inspector of police. He was confused of what to do.
“ sir let’s go inside and save them” I suggested

While we were talking the gang sent a boy out of the hall. The police rushed to help the boy the boy exploded and killed three police. It was so disastrous.

After that they sent a girl out this time. The girl was looking weak that she can’t even walk properly. One of the member of the gang brought out gun and shot the girl thrice then went back inside.

Uzma POV
We saw the news on how people were held hostage in new Delhi University. All the members of the family were watching it. Aunty Aditi blamed Ahuja for the nonsense plan he made with the police and how it ended up. But I believe that if Raymond is there he will save her. Raymond will never allow anything to happen to Ami I know for that. I believe in him. (Light fades)
“ inspector let’s go inside” I said looking for angry “ delay is dangerous”.
“ we will use sense” the inspector uttered.
“. This guy mumuooo, na aful afu be this” I said in a faint voice.
“ what did you say?” the inspector asked
“ nothing I was just talking to myself” I replied.

The press was there crowd gathered wishing for their daughters and sons to come out alive. I couldn’t bare to see Ami dead corps before doing anything, I had to run towards the hall. The inspector tried stopping me but he couldn’t. When I reached the hall, they opened for me.
“they sent a boy as messenger boss” said on of the gang members
“ no am here on my own will” I said “ I came to surrender to your authority”
“bring him in” said the boss from inside
I went inside hands up.
“ you are a stupid boy” one of the gang members said “ you have given yourself a dead sentence” another member of the gang.
I was monitoring all their movement, who I will strike first. I was taken to their leader.
“ what is your intention of surrendering yourself to the cold hands of death” the leader uttered
“ I walked into death, and will still come out alive” I said with confidence.
He paused for a moment before saying anything.
“I like you” he said laughing “ beat him up.” He commanded his boys.
After much of beating, they took Ami to rape her. I was patient as they undressed her forcefully. The leader walked pass me. Although I was weak but seeing Ami make me stronger than jet Lee, ready to kill. I was just waiting for the right time to strike.
“ now I will disgrace all your family members, I will make a video of how we raped you, trust me when I say it will go viral.” The leader uttered. They brought out phone, making video of how they want to rape Ami.
As the leader wanted to undress, I immediately pull a knife from the man closed to me and placed in on the leader’s neck.

The door was opened and everyone rushed out. The students where much. I told Ami to leave but she refused insisting that she won’t go without me. I tried but she won’t, even Krishna refused.
The people remaining in the hall were 10. 5boys 5girls. While distracted by Ami the knife was taken from me. The leader and his boys took everything: the guns, knives etc. The gang was made up of 7 person with sophisticated arsenals.
One of the guys held a pistol that he refused to hand over to the gunmen, unknown to them. As the leader wanted to shoot me the guy that held the gun shot the leader at his right hand causing the knife to fall from his hand. I immediately picked it up and stab the leader to death.
The others cracked there gun to fire but the 9 remaining rushed on them and they couldn’t shoot. They where beating I took one the pistol that fell to shoot one that tried to kill Ami. And another that tried to kill Krishna. I made sure they are dead. Only one out of the rest was speared.
We came out of the hall victorious. On seeing us the crowd shouted even the inspector couldn’t believe it.
Some had gun shot on their right leg but they fought with their life. I was happy that non of them died. As we were approaching the crowd I had a gun shot that hit were my heart was. I turned to look when another one touched my left arm.
But I still saw the man, it is the man we speared the life that was holding the gun. I speared the guy’s life because I wanted him to tell the police who the main man is. I believed that someone is behind it and the man I speared will have to reveal the truth. I fell down on the ground, barely seeing anything. I can hear Ami calling me. I forced myself to open my eyes when I saw the inspector, Ami, Krishna and all the student.
“ the students have killed him” Ami said
“ he is dead please don’t die” Krishna uttered
Ami and Krishna cried even the students joined them crying for me not to die.
“now you know that Nigerian police are equally better and they use their Sense too but bravery in some cases” those where the only words I uttered to the inspector as I passed out with a smile of fulfilment.
