I was dragged and thrown into the cell as if I was a criminal. The inspector looked at me angrily before uttering a word.
“ this is what some of your brothers are doing” he said “I will make sure you get deported very soon”
“ I am innocent, I did not do anything, the people who are the real culprit are out there waiting to kill.” I pleaded “ they want to kill Ahuja I have evidence, my phone is the evidence.” I persistently pleaded but the inspector gave me zero attention.
While in the cell Ami visited, I wanted to get angry with her but “let me save Ahuja before getting angry” so I thought to myself.
“what are you doing here? You refused to listen to me na” I said
“is not like that” she uttered “ I know you are innocent even prakash said you are innocent but no one has evidence to prove it. The police came with a letter issued by the court to search our house.
They brought the search warrant and knowing all the accusations were false we allowed them but… and seeing it in your room implies that the person that has the room is doing that. They saw a check of 1million rupees as evidence that you are into drug trafficking. I followed them around while they searched, I was with the inspector when they searched your room and saw all those things. They said you planned to kill Ahuja, not only that they also said you are into drugs and all manner of nonsense.

“she wanted to come and see you but she was busy helping grandpa Ahuja” she said.
I was happy someone trust me despite everything. I pray to be free very soon. I quickly remembered what I wanted to say to elder Ahuja before I was arrested.

I narrated everything I heard earlier that day to her, I told her that I have voice record of the discussion but my phone is not with me because it was ceased by the police Constable. She believed everything I said and we hatched a plan on how to save Ahuja and prakash. We needed a third party to facilitate our plan that was when Sania walked into the police station. She was directed to were we are by one of the Constables.
“ Sania you are here” Ami said looking surprised.
“Sania welcome” I said
“thank you” she said then turn to Ami and said to her “ don’t be surprised seeing me, Raymond is like a brother to me too so I owe him this much to visit him.”
“ okay if you say so let’s then join hands and save uncle” Ami said.
“ what is happening?” Sania asked “ is Uncle in danger?”
“ yes he is and we need to save him” Ami said.
I did not have my phone with me so I couldn’t play the voice note for them. I explained to sania.
“ If I get the phone from the inspector I hope it will help?” Sania asked
“yes it will” I replied without hesitation.
Sania went and collected the phone from the inspector without him noticing although it took a while but she brought the phone and I played the record for them.
I even transferred it to their phones before returning the phone back to the inspector. Sania was also involved in the plan to save Ahuja. We placed our hand on the air lying on one another and promised to save Ahuja no matter what.
They left and promised to come back The next day. I told them to execute the plan that day without delay because I know they will strike that day. I went back into my cell waiting for my release tomorrow because I know after that is done the person that framed me up will be revealed. Even with the confidence my instinct was still telling me that the plan won’t work but I did not allow it to get the better part of me because I know it will work.
AMI POV
I went after planning with Raymond to tell prakash so he could help. I played the voice Record to prakash. With his own ears he listened attentively and knew his life was in danger not only that, my pride and our mother’s life was also in danger. He agreed to help me and expose Ansh for who he truly is. I went even to my grandfather Ahuja to tell him but he refused to listen to me, even to hear the voice record was a problem. He pushed me out of his room. I was restless in the night I couldn’t sleep because I was aware that the killers are coming.
Sania , prakash and I stayed all night keeping watch so as to strike when the killers comes. I stayed all through the night but to no avail. Sania and prakash were even sleeping because they have waited. I was having some doubt but i also considered that Raymond never accused one for no reason, I initially thought Raymond was lieing but I quickly built my confidence on him back and hope to get another plan that will succeed this time. I had negative thought like is he (Raymond) really innocent or not. However god always vindicate his own people.
The sun shines so bright in the morning. When Prakash woke up and notice he slept on the ground because of Raymond suspicion he got angry and pounced on me even sania joined him.
“ now did they come?”. Prakash asked “ you always believe the lies of that stupid boy”
“ even me I fell for that boy’s lies” Sania said.
“ if they didn’t come today doesn’t mean he is lying” I uttered trying to get my confident back because if I loss hope then Raymond will be shattered.
“here you come again with your stupidity” prakash uttered in a loud tune which attracted other members “how am I not sure he made up that voice record trying to hide his evil underneath. He made it up to continue doing his illegal business”
“ he didn’t, if you don’t believe Raymond I do, I am ready to stand with him all the way because I trust him more than you.
He has not for once lied to me. He is always sincere, he has always been a brother and a friend to me” I turned to Sania still in that angry mood, ready to pour out my heart “ the time you went to the party unknown to your parents he was there for you, he saved you from the world and kept your reputation intact, he never disclosed it to anyone or for once insulted you with it rather he always seems you as his sister.
He was accused of trying to rape you even got flogged for what he did not do. Now you turn against him because of what he is passing through. You know he is innocent.” Is s if no one was listening to me so I shouted “Is anybody listening” tears rolled down my cheeks.
“ so I should be for ever indebted to him because he has save someone as if person has not done that before” Sania uttered “ please keep your good personality to yourself, he is suffering for what he did so please keep me out from all this fake plans. No one is going to kill our grandfather so relax let the law judge him.”
“ I can’t believe you are saying this” I uttered “ he trusted you and you did this to him”
“ I did nothing to him. You are doing as if he is your blood brother” Sania uttered “ and note the wise men says trust nobody in this world, your best friend can be your worst enemy. The man you fine with can turn to kill you. The man you help can kill you tomorrow. You never know the heart of men when you do you will fear them.”
I paid no attention to her saying, I was bent in saving Raymond.
“ I will do everything in my power to save him. I know if I was in the same position he will do the same for me.” I said confidently
That was when my grandfather came into the scene. Her came directly to me and place his hands on my shoulders.
“ if you try helping Raymond again, I will make sure you are no longer part of this family” he said with a smile “I will be your worst nightmare if you step out of this house to help Raymond”
My mother and other elders also insulted me for helping Raymond. No one wants to hear Raymond own side of the story. Why is the world this wicked. “ don’t worry I have forgiven you stand up” I said helping her to get on her feet “ how will I get out of this house to see Raymond, I need to take food to him, I will take our type of delicacy to him and also tell him of our failed plan”
“ will he eat our food?” Sania asked
“ he has no choice” I replied.
“in that case I have a plan” sania uttered and I became curious to know. I like Sania because she always has a plan up her sleeve.
