Finally, it’s the D-day! The auditorium is buzzing with excitement as students from each school pour in, their faces beaming with anticipation.
The hall is full with students from the five participating schools, each proudly displaying their school banners.
The judges are seated at the front, ready to assess the performances with keen ears and critical eyes.
The MC took the stage, flashing a smile at everyone
“Welcome to the annual inter-school music competition! Five talented schools will battle it out live for the trophy and bragging rights. Let’s meet our contestants: Melody High School, Harmony School, Rhythm School, Symphony School, and last but not least, Crescendo School! Each school will present their unique performances, and our judges will decide who will take home the coveted trophy. Let the battle of the voices begin!”
Among the students in the auditorium are students from Melody High students busy chatting with each other , discussing the upcoming performances.

Just then, a student from Harmony School chimed in, “You think you guys have a chance? Please, it’s our year to take the trophy!”
“They think you guys can finally dethrone us? We’ve never lost before, and it’s not starting now!”
“You’re getting a little too cocky. We’ve been practicing nonstop, and our performance is going to blow you away!” Summer said and Ricky smiled.
Darren pulled Daisy to his side and said, “Don’t be scared, you will be fine, okay.”

“Why do I feel like I have a connection with him? No, no, I shouldn’t start thinking that way. I felt the same way about Ricky, but what did he do? He fucking used me,” Daisy thought.
“Are… are you okay?” Darren asked, and that made her snap out of her thoughts.
“Yes, I’m fine.” She replied simply.
“I should let her focus on the competition; tomorrow everything will be known to her. I pray my plan works, and she gets her memory back,” Darren thought.
“That bitch, I have to do something,” Dove muttered from where she was.
The MC suddenly starts addressing them again.
“This is an inter-school musical competition. It’s just one round and a duet. So each school should have their representative. The two people representing their school will perform for us. So now we can call on Symphony School. We have Avery and Ariel.” Wow, that is an awesome duet, I hope they will surprise us. Give them a round of applause as they come to the stage.
Immediately, two girls showed up on the stage, looking so beautiful in their matching clothes. Everyone gave them a round of applause. Even the judges were impressed, looking at them with admiration. Their school kept on cheering their names. “Avery!!! Ariel!!! Avery!!!! Ariel!!!”

Next, Harmony, Rhythm School, and Crescendo School performed.
Then it was Melody High School’s turn. Summer and Daisy walked onto the stage, looking simple yet beautiful in their matching dresses and guitars with them.
The judges smiled at each other, seemingly impressed.

The MC spoke up, “Let’s welcome the rest of the contestants to the stage.”
They all came up to the stage, and the room fell silent. Daisy kept praying under her breath.
“Well, we will be eliminating contestants until we have the top two that did well today,” the first judge explained.
“The first school to be eliminated is… Rhythm school
The audience gasps as Rhythm School is announced as the first elimination
“Thank you, Rhythm School, for your wonderful performance today. You may now leave the stage.”MC said
Rhythm School’s contestants look disappointed but proud as they exit the stage
“And now, the next school to be eliminated is… Crescendo School.”First judge said
The audience gasps again as Crescendo School is announced as the next elimination

“We have three trophies for the top three schools, but the winner will receive a cash prize of 50 million naira along with the title of Top Inter School Music Competition. Now, the school taking third place is… Harmony School!”.MC announced
Everyone applauds, but Harmony School’s contestants look disappointed and clap slowly. barbie moved to their side immediately
“So, who’s the loser now, with the smallest trophy? You empty vessels.” Barbie said and smirked
“We… we don’t want to talk to you.”a girl replied
“Oh, right. I shouldn’t be talking to you. I don’t want to get infected by losers. Next time, don’t look down on others, fools.”barbie glared at them and walked away to her school’s team side
One of Judge hand over the trophy along with the MC to Harmony School’s contestants
“Congratulations, Harmony School. Well done!”
Harmony School’s contestants accept the trophy, still looking disappointed
“And now, we have our top two schools Melody High School and Symphony School. Who will take home the grand prize? Stay tuned, folks!”.MC said
