“So your real name is Shane?” Swan asked, holding his hand as she laid on the bed.

Jr looked at her and sadly nodded.

“The woman in a body-con jumpsuit told me everything. You’re the son of a mafia who is trying to hide his identity. Now I understand why you never wanted to tell me about yourself. Your mom… she ran away because of your dad, right?” Swan asked in a low voice.

“Yes” He pats her hair gently.

Rhymes’s jaw dropped when she came back to the clan and saw Rocco receiving treatment from the clan’s doctor.

After Jr left, he lost consciousness and he is still unconscious.

“Jr shot his dad?” Rhymes asked with unbelievable eyes.

“Yes,” Dre answered.

“He can never pull a trigger!”

“You underestimated the power of love, Rhymes. If he can do this to his own father, I am hundred percent sure he is not going to spare you!” Dre said.

“Shut up!” Rhymes yelled at Dre, trying to hide her fears.

She might be a skilled fighter, but she is no match for Jr.

He hides his fighting skills cuz he doesn’t want to be known as the son of a mafia.

“Call me when he wakes up” Rhymes said and leaves the clan.

All she wants to do right now is to hide.

“Rhymes!” Jr screamed her name thunderously when she was about entering her car to leave the clan.

Fear gripped her when she saw the squirting anger in his eyes.

Rhymes quickly entered her car, but before she could turn on the ignition, Jr pulled her out of the car, his hands on her neck.

“I was just following orders,” Rhymes said, trembling.

“You are the reason why he got to know about Swan, and I’m sure you were happy to carry out his evil schemes. I warned you before Rhymes, but I guess you took my word for granted when I said I can be a possessed demon when Swan is involved” Jr said and began descending on Rhyme with no mercy.

Jr’s fists pummeled Rhymes with the force of a freight train.

Each blow landed with the thunderous crack of bone meeting flesh. Rhymes’ face was a crumpled mess of blood and contusions, her body crumpling beneath Jr’s unrelenting assault.

Rhymes tried to block the punches with her hands, but Jr’s ferocity was unstoppable.

He drove his knee into Rhymes’ gut with a sickening thud, then shoved her against the wall with a force that sent Rhymes’ head snapping backward.

Jr wasn’t done yet. His eyes glinting with rage, he grabbed Rhymes by the collar and threw her to the ground. Rhymes’ body hit the concrete with a thud that echoed through the alleyway.

With a grunt of effort, Jr jumped onto Rhymes and rained down a flurry of punches.

He targeted Rhymes’ kidneys, landing blow after devastating blow until Rhymes could only whimper and groan in pain.

The assault seemed to last an eternity, but Jr wasn’t ready to stop, he wanted to end her life for touching his Swan.

To him, no one can touch Swan and walk away with it.

“Have mercy on me, Shane” Rhymes begged with the remaining strength in her.

“You should have thought about your safety before touching my Swan Princess. Anyone who even dares touch the strand of her hair, will have a dwelling place in hell” He picked Rhymes up from the ground like a piece of paper.

She was bleeding all over her face… her face was covered with her own blood.

Jr dragged the limp, battered form of Rhymes over to a nearby trash can fire.

Without mercy, he yanked Rhymes’ head up by the hair, his fingers digging into Rhymes’ scalp, and like that he shoved her face into the roaring flames.

“Argggggggggh” Rhymes cried agonizingly as the roaring flames hit her face.

Swan couldn’t sleep after Jr left, so she kept waiting for him to come home, and when he did, she rushed to hug him.

He broke the hug and asked; “I thought I asked you to sleep?”

“I couldn’t sleep, Shane”

“You changed it to Shane already? I thought it was Prince-Charming?”

“You don’t like it when I call you Shane?” Swan asked making an innocent face

Jr smiled and slipped his hands to her waist.

“I love it more when you call me Prince-Charming, it means that I’m the only one who can charm you”

Swan grins.

“Fine. I will keep calling you Prince-Charming”

Jr smiled affectionately, caressing her face.

“I love you, Prince-charming” Swan said, she was expecting Jr to tell her those three words, but he closed the chapter with a kiss.

Owen stayed close to his mom, patting her.

“The doctor said they’d stop their treatment on you if you don’t wake up before this month runs out. Why are you hesitating to wake up, mom? I can’t concentrate on my love life because I’m always taking care and worrying about you. Please wake up, mom, so that I can concentrate on Swan and tell her who I am to her” Owen sniffles.

His mom slowly raised her index finger, her eyes still closed.

“Mom?” Owen quickly stood up and sat closer to her on the bed, he could see her mouth moving from the oxygen mask even if her eyes were closed.

He brought his ears close to the oxygen mask, and he began hearing her faint voice.

“Shane… Shane, my son” Came her faint voice.

“Who is Shane?” Owen asked, confusingly.
