“Chase, you forgot my friend Gwen” Naomi called him back.

Chase paused on his movement, he shut his eyes tight before turning back to face them.

“Sorry I don’t know why I seem to forget her name so quickly” he replied.

Gwen raised one of her brows up, thinking he was going to at least greet her but he just turned around and left.

“What happened between the both of you?” Lucky asked afterwards.

“I don’t know” Gwen shrugged and walked to class.

Lucky, Naomi and Erica looked at themselves before going to class too.

In class, they were so many girls in Jenis desk, Lucky sneered at them before sitting and facing her front.

“The school acts like they haven’t seen pretty girls before, I mean what happened to me?” She muttered.

“Don’t be spongy Lucky” Gwen smiled but Lucky rolled her eyes and scoffed.

The lecturer entered and the class went back to order.

Lucky was dressed in a black hoodie, face cap and nose mask as she snuck to the notice board where Jenis picture was.

“There you are! You’re not even that pretty” she scoffed and brought out a black marker from her pocket.

“Let’s do you good,I think your eye brows are too small, let me add some more for you” she said and began using the eyebrow to paint Jenis eyebrows.

When she was done she smiled.

“Something is missing, I think a mustache will look good on you too” she said before drawing a mustache on Jenis face.

“Now you look so good” she smiled when she was done.

She turned around to leave but suddenly bumped into Edward.

“Geez Edward! What are you doing here” she touched her chest and she breathed the sign of relief.

“I should ask you that” Edward replied and his gaze went to Jenis picture.

“You did this?” He asked with an unbelievable look.

“Okay please don’t tell anyone” Lucky begged but Edward just scoffed and looked elsewhere.

“I’ll buy you meal for the whole week, anything you want” she added.

“Anything I want?” He asked.

“Yes anything you want” she nodded.

“Deal, let’s go” he smiled and turned around.

“To where?” Lucky frowned.

“The cafeteria, it’s past my lunch time and I hope you have money because I do eat a lot” he said with a satisfying smiled.

“You!” She pointed her marker on his face.

“What? You want me to tell everyone especially Prof Stella what you did to her best student painting?” He asked and she sighed.

“Let’s go, as I’m buying you food for the week you better not rip me off” she eyed him and dragged her feet out.

Edward smiled and followed from behind.

“My baby, I was missing you again so I decided to have another face time with you” Paula voice sounded as her face was shown inside Gwen’s laptop screen.

“Hi Mom” Gwen smiled.

“You were doing your homework, I’m sorry if I disturb you” Paula said judging from the book and pen she was seeing in front of Gwen.

“No mom you didn’t disturb, I’m almost done anyways, how are you? How’s dad?” Gwen covered her book and asked.

“Your dad is fine, he will call you later today, he had to rush to work earlier than usual” Paula shrugged.

“Hmm” Gwen nodded.

“And Naomi? Her parents are complaining because she don’t call them, please tell Naomi to reach out to her parents” Paula added.

“That stubborn girl, I’ll talk to her don’t worry” Gwen rubbed her forehead and Paula smiled.

They two chatted for a while before Paula hung up.

“So your mom like calls you everyday?” Erica asked from the upper bunk where she was laying down.

“She just misses me so much” Gwen smiled.

“Mummy’s girl” Erica smirked and Gwen shook her head before facing her desk to continue her assignment.

The door opened and Lucky entered looking tired.

“Where have you been since and why are you dressed as a burglar?” Erica asked with a kind of look.

“I went to fight for my man plus I got ripped off by some fat dude” she pouted and fell on the bed.

Gwen rolled her eyes, still doing what she was doing.

It’s sport day today so almost all the students are gathered up in the field. Some dressed as cheerleaders, some dressed in their jersey while some in a normal sport outfit.

“I didn’t know this jersey will look so good on you” Gwen said to Naomi as she came out of the dressing room.

“Don’t exaggerate, you also look good on yours too, so what are you planning to play? Base ball?” Naomi asked as she checked Gwen’s outfit out.

“I’ve always been a fan since I was little” Gwen smiled, she remembered what she wanted to tell Naomi before clapping.

“Right, your mom and dad are angry with you” she said.

“Angry with me? Why?” Naomi asked and almost immediately her phone rang. It was from her mom.

“Mom is calling, I’ll just call her later since I have sport to play” she muttered and cut the call.

When she looked up, she noticed that Gwen was giving her a type of look.

“What?”

“Your parents are angry with you because you don’t pick their calls and you don’t check up on them” Gwen said with a frown.

“Not true” Naomi pouted.

“Dude you just ditched your mom’s call just now” Gwen reminded her.

“Fine you’re right, I’ll call her immediately after sport” Naomi smiled.

Gwen wanted to argue with her but paused when Lucky walked over with various junks in her hands.

“Don’t get me wrong, these are not mine, I bought them for someone annoying” she immediately explained.

“Whatever we are gonna be late for sport, is Erica not coming?” Gwen then asked.

“I’m here” Erica appeared behind them, dressed casually.

“Are you not in for the sport?” Lucky asked.

“Sport is never my thing” Erica replied then took a biscuit from Lucky’s hand before leaving.

Lucky pouted and followed behind before Gwen and Naomi moved next.

“Here!” Lucky dropped everything she bought for Edward in front of him.

“Thanks but you’ll still have to get me breakfast later” he replied and opened a bag of chips.

“The hell! What are all these then?” She pointed the junks she bought earlier.

“These are just appetizers” he replied and Lucky was tempted to punch his chubby face.

“What is going on here, why is Edward troubling this cutie right here” a familiar voice sounded behind her.

Lucky gasped and slowly turned back to see Jace walking towards her.

‘He thinks I’m cute!!!’ She screamed inwardly before smiling.

“He’s not troubling me, don’t worry about him” she faced him and replied.

Jace just nodded and sat beside Edward and when she was about to sit next to him, Chase came from no where and took that position.

“Lucky, hi, where are your friends?” He asked casually.

“Over there, I’m going to meet them, have fun y’all” she forced a smile at Chase before leaving.

Gwen and Erica were busy talking to Jenis as Naomi introduced her to them.

“You play baseball too? You’re so cool, you can try visiting us in our room sometimes, room 44” Gwen said and Erica nodded.

“Thanks guys, it’s nice to meet you” Jenis smiled.

After chatting shortly, Jenis and Erica left while Naomi accompanied Gwen to the baseball section.

“Hi, I’ll love to sign up for the baseball game” Gwen said to the Captain in charge.

“You can just fill your name in this book then go get a ball from that room over there” the captain pointed a room to her.

“Thank you” Gwen smiled and held Naomi’s hands as they went to the empty room to look for a baseball.

In the room, so many balls were arranged in different baskets and nets.

“There’s the baseball” Naomi pointed at the direction and moved forward when she bumped into someone.

“Watch where you’re going fool!” The guy’s voice sounded.

Naomi who was rubbing her forehead slowly looked up to see a guy in dreadlocks.

“Excuse me?” She said slowly.

“No excuse you!” He scoffed and pushed pass her but Naomi grabbed him by his shoulders and pulled him back.

“Apologize to me right now!” She demanded.

Gwen noticed the scene and immediately hurried over, when she saw the guy’s face, she was shocked.

“Dante?” She called.

Dante removed his arrogant gaze from Naomi and took it to Gwen.

He smirked.

“You know this jerk?” Naomi faced Gwen.

“Not really but he was supposed to be my art project partner and didn’t show up” Gwen replied.

Naomi gasped and looked at him from head to toes.

“The nerve of you” she muttered.

“Oh I’m sorry, did you fail the project?” He asked and laughed in mockery.

Gwen only just gave him a stare before going to take Naomi’s hands.

“Naomi let’s leave, talking to this guy is like a waste of time” she said.

“Too bad, I didn’t have you guys time to begin with, my basketball game is about to start and if you both will excuse me..” he smirked and passed their middle, separating them forcefully.

After he was gone, Naomi blinked repeatedly.

“How can someone be really arrogant to someone they are meeting for the first time?” Naomi asked herself.

“Naomi, this is bright way! School for the rich so yeah, expect more arrogant people” Gwen replied and Naomi rolled her eyes.

“Baseball” Naomi then reminded Gwen and Gwen nodded before they went to look for one.
