Karan’s heart shudder Simultaneously and just then, sam hoisted the lifeless lady into his arms, carrying her into one of the car behind them before driving off with two other guards with him.

Matthew opened the door for Karan and he entered subconsciously, lost in his thoughts.

He noticed the sudden mood in his boss. Something had happened to him the moment he set his eyes on the little girl but he decided to stay calm.

“Hope she will be fine?” Karan asked no one in particular looking into space inside the car.

“On God boss, she was badly wounded” Matthew responded and got no reply from him.

Rella walked out of the kitchen with a plate of fruits in her hand. She kept it on the dinning table beside Lydia and Lydia picked from it, chewing on it gently.

Rella sat opposite her without a word from her.

“So everybody’s crush finally left” Lydia teased awkwardly breaking the silence between them.

Rella pouted still in silence.

“He will be back before two weeks. I just can’t wait any longer” she said.

“Hold your man very well or else, someone else will” Lydia snarled taking rella aback as she scoffed.

“Where’s treasure? Why didn’t she come with you to see me??” Rella changed the topic.

Well, treasure hardly come to her house, the only time she does show up is when Karan isn’t home.

She is always forming busy whenever she insist for her to come over.

“I’m not her mom? How am I supposed to know!” Lydia huffed.

“Please don’t angry me by mentioning her name I’m very very hungry” she added.

“It’s well. Let me get you something to eat” rella made to leave when

“Why you? Where are your chiefs?” Lydia questioned looking round the living room.

She must say, she hardly see them these days. She wonder if rella might have chased them away.

“On their way” Rella snapped her off.

“Whenever Karan is around, I don’t need them because I can’t trust any chief with my husband at home” she added sincerely.

“You did the right thing dear, but didn’t karan ask about them when he was around?” she whispered softly.

Rella spranged up. “I wonder why he didn’t. But nevertheless, I’m happy he didn’t”

“You shouldn’t trust those boys that calls themselves chief. What if they start giving your husband bad advice or perhaps gay!. Especially those military ladies” Lydia whimpered

Rella laughed making Lydia wondered if she had said wrong.

“Those are not his spec” She muttered.
“No my husband can’t fall for his gender when he has fine sexy fairy like me at home” rella grinned admirably.

Both burst into an ecstatic laughter.

“Hi!” Karan said over the phone

“Babe, When are you coming back? Am missing you already” Rella frowned over the phone.

Karan scoffed and wonder what a drama queen he got as a wife.

“Tomorrow” he muttered

“Really! that’s amazing. I can’t wait to see you soon babe” she giggled excitedly

“Me too, I will call you later I have something important to do right now. I love you” he said

“I love you more” She replied before he hanged up.

He sat down looking into space. He was excited everything had went as planned but something was off…. Something kept bothering him.

The young lady he had encountered. He just hoped she was alright now as he never bothered to ask about her ever since the incident.

He hasn’t gotten a glimpse of Sam for days now.

And just as he thought the door goes open immediately, revealing sam. Talk of the devil.

“Boss” He called

He was looking moody and tensed at same time.

“How’s she?” He snapped.

Sam faced him. He wonder why he haven’t asked about her since the accident but he let that slide and who wouldn’t want to know if she’s alive or not

“She’s fine boss. She’s still recovering” Sam said calmly.

“We are going back tomorrow. Take me to her before taking me home” He instructed.

“Okay boss” sam nodded before walking away.
