Ok, so Duncan and I have been arguing over what movie to watch for the past ten or fifteen minutes, he wanted fast and furious, but I and my baby wanted to watch some educational, like; Little mermaid or Sofia the first -isn’t he supposed to compromise for us?
He narrowed his eyes at me.
“My heartbeat, why do I feel like you’re using our baby as an excuse to oppress me, and deprive me of watching my fast and furious?”
“What?” I feigned an innocent expression, as though he’s unjustly accusing me. “I would never use our baby as an excuse to do you wrong” I promised, which was a big lie.
I’m obviously using our baby as an excuse right now, because I really wanna watch either The little mermaid or Sofia the first so bad.
“But I…”
“I know you’re a Mafia lord, but we can’t teach our son how to shoot while he’s still in his mother’s womb, right?”
My voice was extremely calm to make sure my words are convincing enough, and would sink deep in his brain.
He stayed silent for a moment, and stared at me as if he’s reasoning what I just said, then he sighed and nodded reluctantly.
“Fine, let’s watch cartoons” he emphasized on ‘cartoons’, but I ignored his tone and started jumping victoriously.
“I won, I won, I won”
“You won?” Duncan asked with a small frown, then I recollected my words and shook my head.
“We won, we won” I rephrase my words, adding our baby this time.
He sighed and shook his head as if he saw through my trick.
“Stop jumping around, or you’ll make our baby dizzy” he emphasized on ‘our baby’ which means he’s indirectly telling me, he saw through my trick.
“Let’s start with Sofia the first” I ruffled his hair as I said that.
“Hm” he simply hummed. “I didn’t know my Netflix and chill would be involving kids” he grumbled referring to our child.
“Are you jealous of your own son?” I teased him.
“Of course” he replied and I laughed.

THIRD PERSON’S pov.
Few Moments Later<<
Mr Baldwin turned his eyes from the TV’s screen to his wife, whose head just dropped on his left shoulder, he chuckled lightly when he realized she’s fallen asleep just few minutes into the movie, and he couldn’t control his itching fingers and found himself caressing her cheeks.
“And she said she wanted to have cartoons” he said to himself, he raised her hand and kissed her knuckles.
He reached for the tv remote, and turned off the tv, then carried his wife in his arms and walked out of the movie room into the living room, where he met Lucas who was headed towards the movie room.
“Mr Baldwin” Lucas greeted with a small bow.
“I thought you’ve retire to bed already”
“Uh, you wanted me to find out everything about Asher”
“Asher?” Mr Baldwin frowned slightly in confusion, as though he’s trying to recall where he’s heard the name before.
“Sir, Mrs Baldwin is temporarily staying at his place” Lucas gave him a quick reminder.
“Hm” Mr Baldwin simply hummed.
“I’ve gathered everything about, and he’s related to someone we know”
“Someone we know?”
“Yes, sir” Lucas paused, but Mr Baldwin signaled him to continue. “He’s Mike’s twin brother”
Mr Baldwin stopped walking at once, he slowly turned his head to face Lucas and asked.
“Who’s Mike?”
But it seemed like he already know who Mike is, he just wanted to confirm.
“He’s Mrs Baldwin’s lawyer, he helped Mrs Baldwin process the divorce papers…”
Lucas was cut off by an angry growl which emitted from Mr Baldwin, and he shut up immediately.
“The fuçking b@stard knows my wife’s whereabout all these while!”
“Yes, sir”
There was a brief silence as Mr Baldwin glared maliciously at nothing in particular, he soon closed his eyes and inhaled deeply.
“That’s it, I’m bringing my wife back with me to LA tomorrow…and I’ll teach that b@stard a lesson!”
“Huh?”
“Huh what?!” he snapped at Lucas.
“I don’t think Mrs Baldwin would agree to come with you, because… ”
“Well, she doesn’t have a choice” he took a few breaths to calm down. “I’ll try talking to her first, and see if I can convince her into coming with me willingly, but if she doesn’t agree to go with me, then…”
“Then what?” Lucas’ eyes widened in fear, as he anticipated something deadly and wicked.
“.. I’ll have to sedate her, and bring her with me!”
Lucas released a breath he didn’t know he was holding, and nodded in agreement.
“Alright, sir, are you still gonna check Asher’s profile today, or tomorrow?” he asked, stretching a file towards Mr Baldwin.
“What’s the time now?” Mr Baldwin asked.
Lucas quickly checked his wristwatch.
“10:57pm”
“Do you think it’s convenient for me to check it?”
Lucas shook his head, and cleared his throat.
“Good night, sir” then he raced towards the door, before Mr Baldwin would say anything.
Mr Baldwin looked down at his sleepy wife.
“Let’s get you to bed” he said, then headed towards the stairs.

RACHEL’S pov.
The Next Morning<<
My eyes snapped open as a strong urge to use the bathroom hit me, I felt my bladder getting heavier with each ticking second, and I couldn’t hold back anymore.
I kicked the blanket off me, and sprang up to go use the bathroom, but was pulled down by a force.
My eyebrows furrowed slightly as I looked down at my waist, I saw a strong arm tightly wrapped around my waist, and preventing me from moving. My eyes traced the arm until they landed on a sleeping… Duncan?!
“Ahhhhh” I screamed loudly, and pushed Duncan off the bed with all my strength, and he fell in a thud which woke him up at once.
“My heartbeat, that fuçking hurt” he groaned as he rubbed his forehead gently, I guess he must have bumped his head on the bedside table.
“It hurt?” he nodded, and I scoffed. “What are you doing here?! Didn’t I said I don’t wanna share a bed with you?!” I asked.
My eyes quickly scanned the room to know if he had actually brought me to his room last night, but he shook his head.
“You only said you don’t wanna sleep in my room, talk more or less of my bed”
I frowned at his words, because he sounded annoying and my face couldn’t help but grew red from anger.
“I said I’m still mad at you, and I don’t wanna share a bed with you!”
He frowned as though he’s confused, or trying to recall something, then tilted his head.
“Does that mean I misheard you?”
“Are you trying to get on my nerves so early this morning?” I asked through clenched jaws and gritted teeth.
“No, I just thought he didn’t wanna sleep in our room, so I brought you here…”
“DUNCAN!!” I screamed his name as I was already fuming in anger.
His eyes widened when he noticed I was about pouncing at him, he sprang up and dashed towards the door, but I didn’t spare him and chased after him.
“Duncan, I’ll kill you!” I growled as I chased him.
“Help, someone help me, Mrs Baldwin wanna murder her husband!” he called for help as he took the stairs.
“I’ll kill whoever dare comes to your rescue!”
