Lucia sat comfortably with George, chatting animatedly. She had no idea they were being watched.
“I don’t think he’s just her bodyguard,” Fernando said, sipping his drink.
“Yeah,” Chandler agreed, “looks like there’s something more going on between them.”
Fernando scoffed.
“Shouldn’t you call off the engagement? You’re not the marriage type, so how do you plan on treating my sister?” Chandler asked pointedly. “Plus, she’s a tough one.”
Fernando remembered when he first found out he was engaged. They were still in high school, and he had convinced himself he didn’t like her. She was spoiled, always getting whatever she wanted. He even made fun of her small breasts once, calling them peanuts.
“I didn’t know how to tell her back then that I actually like peanuts,” he muttered under his breath.
“What?” Chandler gave him a confused look.
Realizing he had said that out loud, Fernando quickly shook his head. His phone rang, but before he could answer it, Chandler grabbed it and hit the decline button.
“Not available, ever,” Chandler said flatly, blocking the number.
“That was my favorite,” Fernando protested.
“If you’re serious about marrying my sister, you’ll need to kiss your playboy lifestyle goodbye,” Chandler said sternly.
“Is this some kind of torture?” Fernando groaned.
Chandler merely smirked.

A little while later, the party was winding down. Peter had just arrived with the car and opened the door for Alejandro and Camila. The ride home was quiet and comfortable.
“Welcome home, Mr. and Mrs. Ruiz,” Lucy greeted them at the door. “Would you like me to prepare dinner?”
Alejandro glanced at Camila, who shook her head. Lucy smiled, bowed slightly, and left.
“Hubby,” Camila called softly as they entered their bedroom. Alejandro was already preparing to lie down, while Camila sat at the vanity, applying her night cream.

“I’ve been thinking about what my dad asked us earlier,” she said nervously.

“If I told you I was pregnant, what would you do?” she asked cautiously, watching him through the mirror.
Alejandro stood up from the bed, his eyes wide. “Are you?”
“No! I promise I’m not,” Camila replied quickly.
He walked over to her, wrapping his arms around her from behind. “Even though I’m not entirely sure if I have what it takes to be a father, it would still be an honor to have you as the mother of my children,” Alejandro said sincerely, gazing at her reflection in the mirror.
“Really?” Camila smiled softly, her eyes shining.
“Yes,” Alejandro nodded and kissed her neck, his voice playful as he continued, “You want babies? Then let’s make babies.” He bit gently on her neck, sending a ticklish sensation that made her laugh.
“How many babies do you want?” he asked, his lips brushing against her skin as he teased her further.
“Twelve!” Camila giggled.
“Twelve, huh? Well, that’s twelve rounds then. Come here,” he grinned, scooping her up in his arms as if she were a bride.
“Alejandro, put me down!” Camila laughed, her hands playfully pushing against his chest.
“Alright, as you wish,” he said mischievously before dropping her onto the bed, quickly climbing on top of her. He hovered over her, his gaze locked onto her face, appreciating every detail of her beauty.
“I’m so lucky,” he whispered. “This gorgeous woman… the future mother of my children,” he added, his smile filled with warmth.
Camila gently touched his face, her fingers tracing his jawline as she looked at him with deep affection. She could feel herself falling harder for him every day, and she no longer wanted to deny it.
“I love you,” she said softly, her voice full of sincerity.
Alejandro stared at her, momentarily speechless. His heart raced as he took in her words, his eyes never leaving hers. She smiled, pulling him closer to her, and their lips met in a tender, sweet kiss.
