“But I don’t understand.” I scoffed confusedly sitting in front of my dad and the principal “Why should we shift the basketball match to next two weeks, that’s too close. We haven’t even done the pep-rally.”
“Son, the state championship is coming up in a month so we don’t have time for intra-school basketball tournament, we need to do things snappy, we need time to practice for the next match.” Dad explained.
“But we are Scorpions, we’re ready for anything, we just more time to prepare for the intra-school tournament, Dale High are very competitive.” I replied.
“We know Mr Terrence, that’s why you and your team need to practice from now, so after lunch, we’ll announce the cheerleaders and the orchestras to report to the field and court to get ready.”
I still feel this is too soon, I hope our team wins this year. This is so stressful, the school and state championship. God!
LUNCH TIME
🧡 REYNA’S POV 🧡
Everyone had left the class for lunch, the class is to totally empty.
I didn’t even bother to go to the cafeteria. So many people are gonna be there.
I can’t tolerate their taunts, I don’t want any problem in my life.
I haven’t even seen that cute Tyler guy since principal called him. I wonder what’s going on.
Don’t want to care, I don’t know why I’m even concerned about that. All I want is to study and succeed.
I brought out my chemistry textbook and a note pad from my backpack, to study and my sandwich.
I opened my books and sandwich and begin to eat and study at the same time.
“Hey, Reyna.” Shay called me as she entered the class and approached me “Aren’t you going to the cafeteria for lunch? It’s creepy sitting alone in an empty class.”
I shrugged “I like it like that.”
📢 Attention students, the orchestras should report to the field, the cheerleaders and basketball players should report to the basketball court immediately, we’re gonna give you extra classes after practice
Oh, well, none of my business, I just hope it won’t affect my studies.
🧡 NATASHA’S POV 🧡
I rolled my eyes, hearing the announcement, so much stress for me but at least I won’t have to read any stupid books or stare at the teacher’s ugly faces.
Everyone in the cafeteria begin to murmur and complain.
🚺 Oh God, I wish I’m one of the cheerleaders.
🚹 Thank God, we’re gonna practice most of the month.
🚺 Cheer leading is stressful.
🚹 At least you won’t study all day like a dumb nerd.
“Yay, we’re only gonna practice for the rest of the month.” Hailey cheered “No books!”
“Come on Hailey, what if the practice affects our studies? Don’t be silly.” Kylie scoffed.
I sighed “Whatever, let’s just go before the coach chase us again.”
We stood up, left the cafeteria and headed straight to the my locker room with my friends and changed into our gym outfits.
Yes, I have my own locker room and I allow my friends to go in. No one dares to enter here.
So I wore black and white adidas sport bra, with it’s shorts and black Nike sneakers and I packed my straight hair into ponytail.
We took our pom poms and left the locker room, chatting.
🧡 REYNA’S POV 🧡
After few minutes, Shay and I discuss and yes we became friends.
I know I’m not supposed to make another friend after my one friend betrayed me but I feel this one’s different.
She got hungry so she left the class to the cafeteria.
I’m alone in the class again which makes things peaceful, at least Natasha and come are busy practicing for the rest of the day.
Now I’m busy studying which gives me joy, but sometimes I feel odd the class.
“Hey.” I heard the cutest deep voice.
I look up, a little shocked to see Tyler standing in front of me, wearing grey tank top, black Nike shorts, and white Bontega sneakers.
He’s so cute and handsome… Wait, Shay told me that Natasha will kill me if she sees me with Tyler.
I bent my head nervously “Um, can you please leave? I’m busy with my studies.”
“But you agreed that you’ll hang with me during practice.” He whined.
I frowned at him “I did?”
“Yes, so let’s go. I need a cheerleader for myself.” He smiled.
“Do I look like a cheerleader?” I scoffed.
I’m not even into all those things, I just wanna be a successful businesswoman, not a professional cheerleader.
His smile widens more “You have a beautiful smile.”
I bent my head again, as my face got red “T… Thank you.”
He bent and rested on my table, showing off his sweet muscles “Watcha doing?” He asked, using his soft killing deep voice.
Gosh, why does he have to be this cute? Just realized that he has braces on his teeth, which makes him more cuter.
“Um… I… Um… I… Just…” I skipped as I noticed someone’s peeping at us from the door.
I stood up quickly “I gotta go.”
Tyler grabbed my wrist and pulled me to him, hugging my waist, making my heart to beat faster than usual.
“Someone’s watching us.” I whispered.
“They won’t if you finally follow me to the basketball court.” He said, moving his face closer to mine “Be my cheerleader.” He whispered.
He held my wrist tightly as he pulled me out of the classroom and went straight to the basketball court, which is totally wide and amazing! It doesn’t even look like a school court.
Guys are playing basketball, cheerleaders are practicing with their pom poms, some people are sitting at the stands.
Oh no! Natasha is one of the cheerleaders, I yanked my hand off Tyler and went away from him.
I feel bad for him but I need to protect myself from being bullied.

What’s wrong with her? Did I approach her too soon? Didn’t she wanna be with me? Why did she leave me like that?
I shook my head as I join the guys “Yo! Carl! Over here!”
He threw the ball to me, I caught it, continue to bounce and run.
🧡 REYNA’S POV 🧡
I sat at the plastic red stands, watching at Tyler and other players playing basketball.
He’s so cute especially with his curly hair jumping with him running.
He keeps starring at me as he’s playing, I know he’s expecting me to cheer for him but what will people think? I’ve never shout like that before or even cheer.
I feel bad for him as he still stealing glances from me.
“Hey.” Someone tapped my shoulder.
I smiled “Sierra?”
“Uh-huh.” She chuckled as she sat beside me.
“I was wondering if you won the scholarship, and I didn’t see you.” I explained.
“Yeah, I did won and my parents are proud of me for first time. Now I’m a senior and I’ll graduate this year in this big school I got for myself.” She squealed lightly.
“I’m happy for you.” I laughed.
“I’m happy for you too.” Sierra replied.
Wow, no friend of mine have ever said she’s happy for me. Well I only had one friend and she even stabbed me behind my back.
I smiled in shock “T… Thanks.”
“Whoa!” Sierra and I shouted as a basketball hit her water bottle and it broke on the floor.
“Yo Strawberry!!” Tyler shouted and winked at me.
He should stop calling me Strawberry!! I hate it!!!
“Hey!” Sierra stood and shouted at players angrily “Not cool!!”
“Hey Strawberry, we need that ball.” He smirked at me, making me to feel butterflies.
Sierra sat and nudged my arm “Hit that f×cking ball on his dumb adorable face.” She whispered.
I nodded as I stood and I took the ball, Sierra smirked knowing it would hurt Tyler’s face and I don’t want anything to happen to him… I mean I don’t want to get into any trouble.
I tossed the ball and Tyler caught it, winked at me again and I smiled, blushing as I sat back as they continued playing.
“Go Tyler!” I chanted, clapping for him to win.
My smile went down realizing what the f×ck I’m doing.
I quickly sat down, noticed Sierra is glaring at me, because I didn’t hit Tyler with the ball.
“You’re so weak.” She shook her head.
“Just buy another water bottle.” I scoffed.
He kept bouncing till he threw the ball in the air and it enters the hoop.
“Yes!” I stood and chanted again.
I sat down again, realizing what I’m doing. What’s wrong with me?

I chuckled lightly as she cheers and sit immediately.
I like her already, even it’s the second time seeing her. She’s cute, shy and amazing.
I bite my lower lip, starring at her blushy face, her cute dark eyes trying to avoid me. I can’t take my eyes off her.
🧡 NATASHA’S POV 🧡
I clenched my fist angrily, watching that idiot and my sweetheart playing love fest.
I swear I must do something to that b×tch. Why on earth will Tyler try to move with that ugly girl?
See the way he stares at her, does she like her? No! Never!
I threw my pom poms on the floor angrily.
“They kinda look cute together.” Hailey grinned sheepishly.
“Shut up Hailey, stop saying stupid words.” Kylie snapped angrily “I think you should teach that ugly nerd a lesson right now.”
I nodded in agreement as I spotted a basketball on the floor close to my side. I smirked.

Tyler flipped and threw the ball into the hoop again.
“Woo!!!” I shouted happily, cheering for him.
Sierra sighed, looking disappointed, I know I’m not supposed to cheer for him but I can’t help it.
I hope nothing goes wrong.
“Ow!” I screamed as a thick ball hit my head and I collapsed, feeling dizzy.

“Strawberry!!” I shouted as I left the area, climbed the stands and ran to her.
”Ow.” She winced lightly, sitting on the floor, rubbing her head.
I looked around, wondering who on earth threw the ball, it’s not one of my players because it didn’t came from their direction.
“It’s okay.” I hugged her waist and helped her up.
Our faces are really close to each other, her lips, so pink, round and plumpy. I wish I could just kiss it immediately.
She quickly pulled herself from me which makes me annoyed anytime she does that.
“Are you okay?” I asked.
She nodded as she sat down “Yeah, I’m fine.”
I nodded awkwardly as I went back to the game.

“At least he didn’t see you throwing the ball.” Kylie shrugged.
“But it kinda backfires.” Hailey said.
I hit her with a pom poms angrily.
“You should be thankful, Natash. If Tyler sees you, he’ll be mad at you.” Kylie said.
I need to do something that that idiot would never forget.
AN HOUR LATER
🧡 REYNA’S POV 🧡
I left the basketball court and went to the nurse office to treat my headache because of the ball, left the office and headed straight to the class, with maths teacher inside.
After teaching the class, she left and I begin to solve the homework she gave us.
“So, what do your parents do?” Shay asked.
“What do your parents do?” I retorted.
“I asked first.” She scoffed and shrugged “Fine, my mom is a FedEx manager, my dad works at the oil company.”
Seriously? Even Shay’s parents are rich, Natasha is, Kylie and Hailey are, Sierra whom I wrote scholarship with is also rich. I’m left out.
“Wow, that makes you so rich.” I gasped.
She shrugged “I hate bragging. What about you?”
“Well, my dad is a CEO and travel overseas from trading businesses, my mom is a chef of a pizza restaurant, The Pizza Club, I’m just carrying old backpack and look poor because I also don’t like bragging.” I lied.
Good thing, I don’t bring anyone to my house, I won’t let that happen. Lying isn’t that a big deal.
“Wow, cool.” Shay believed “By the way, I think Tyler likes you.” She smirked.
I frowned “What? We just met.”
“Well, as well as I know him as my classmate for the past 4 years, I’ve never seen him approaching a girl like that before, even Natasha, his best friend.”
Is he really into me? But I’m no match for him.

I was in my locker room alone, sitting on my bench, thinking about what happened earlier.
Is Tyler into that poor looking girl? But they don’t look good together, I love Tyler, more than anyone else. I won’t let anyone take him away from me. I must do something.
Someone knocked my door “What?!”
“Natasha, I have some information about Reyna.” Diana said.
One of my cheerleaders, a nerd that is trying hard for nothing to join the Thrice Spice. So I’m just using her.
What does she want? What do I need Reyna’s stupid information for? Wait, it can help me with my plan.
“Get in.”
The stupid brunette walked in with her iPhone 7 plus.
“Well, Reyna just said something about herself, that her dad is a rich CEO who travels overseas and her mother is a chef of a pizza company called The Pizza Club.”
Pizza Club? Have I seen the restaurant before? Who cares?
“And I took some pics of Tyler and Reyna hugging each other.”
“What?!” I exclaimed as I snatched her phone, shocked to see Tyler hugging Reyna’s waist, starring at each other sweetly. Ew!!
I can’t be!!
I swear I’ll finish her.
I threw the phone away “Get out!!”
Diana took her phone and ran out of the locker room.
I sat down angrily. I must think of a plan immediately.
Reyna coming here on her first day has become a threat in my life. I must do something to defeat her before she defeats me.

LATER THAT DAY
🧡 REYNA’S POV 🧡
I entered the big white school bus and sat down on the comfy seat as the driver rides the bus.
So nice, this school’s nice except the bullying part. I’ll endure till I graduate next year.
Ever since the basketball incident, I avoided Tyler for the rest of the day. Because I feel the ball was thrown on purpose and I don’t want any other problem.
I noticed we’re at Santee’s Street, for rich people before we could reach Queen’s street where the Pizza Club is.
If anyone finds out, I work there, one of the bullies here will humiliate me.
I stood up immediately “Excuse me.” I walked to the driver.
“This is my stop.” I said and the driver nodded as he parks at the nearest bus stop.
I came out and bus drove off. I heaved a sigh of relief as I walked to the Pizza Club.
Finally arrived there, changed into my clothes and came out, net mom at the counter.
“Hey mom.” I kissed her cheek and she kissed mine.
“Hey sweetie, how’s school?” She asked.
A lot happened. So many to talk about, the beauty of the school, the bullying, the rich kids, the basketball incident, Tyler and so on and Tyler. Can’t stop thinking about him.
I shrugged “Nothing.” I lied.
Mom gave me a suspicious look “Nothing?”
I nodded as I went to the kitchen, the boss gave me pizzas to deliver, and I went out, climbed my bicycle to do my job.
