When Harry and Tessa got to Barry’s class teacher house, they did some thorough integration on her and and found out she was threatened by some guy in eye mask to hand Barry with him. The man in mask was the man at the gamble who texted Amanda to come alone if she wants to see Barry alive. Amanda went alone but never returned and the kids tried to work things out themselves.
When Tessa got home one day, she over heard her aunt and father arguing and she heard her aunt accused her father of cheating on her mom by having some other family outside and her father accused her aunt for killing her mom. Tessa did all it take for her not to go in because she would kill them, she recorded and send to the corps with the help of Harry and Emma who were still looking for Amanda. Investigation was done, Flores was guilty and arrested life imprisonment like wise Duchene was arrested for running a secret underground cult and also for the adoption of Amanda because he was the mask man. Barry and Amanda was free and Tessa had peace of mind that her mom was free.

In school, Chad secretly went to the principal office and confessed he was the one who framed Harry for drugs. He did it to protect Tessa and Dean and when Harry found out about this, he was so pissed that he ranted to Emma who didn’t look surprised. Harry asked if Emma already knew and when she didn’t reply, he was disappointed. He couldn’t believe she would do that to her fellow girl and he asked her why and she confessed she has had feelings for him for a long time now. “Don’t worry, I know they will never be a room for me in your heart. I know you love and care about me as a really good friend, maybe sister and I can’t blame you, I’m ashamed of not telling you the moment I found out. Tessa is not that bad and she likes you maybe” Emma shrugged and begins to leave. Harry called her back, he hugged her and thanked her. “You’re a good girl, a good man will love you” he smiled at her.
Then Emma went to meet Dean and she talked to him about allowing Chad to cover for him. She let him know that he needed to be ashamed and he was. He went to the principal office and confessed for being the one because he couldn’t handle a simple rejection. Dean was suspended for three months to go home and learn his lesson but before he left, he walked up to Emma and said. “Thank you Emma for showing me what it feels like to actually live. I thought bullying and playing girls heart was fun but I guess I’m wrong. I know I don’t have any right to try to involve myself in your life but you’re a really good person, I hope you find someone nice” That was the most sincere look Emma had ever seen and she smiled.
“You should apologize to all the girls you’ve played and all the poor or nerds you’ve bullied too” She said playfully.
“Then I will have to prepare more than a thousand speech then” Dean replied and they both laughed. He thanked her once more and left.

Days later, everything were back to normal. Tessa and Harry sat on the swing of the amusement park together.
“I’m really glad that you get to do justice for your mom” he told her.
“And I’m glad your dad is doing better now” she smiled at him.
Harry nodded, he was rubbing his hands nervously thinking if he should ask her out or not cause that was the reason he invited her over. Tessa noticed his hands and asked. “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing it’s just that I.. I just…never mind” Harry shook his head. What was he thinking, Tessa wouldn’t go out with him if he ask her out.
“Tell me, what is it?” Tessa turned to face him like she was interested in what he has to say.
“I.. I..” Harry took in a deep breath before facing her. “I know this might sound stupid to you but I really really like you. I was attracted to you the first time I laid my eyes on you, when you knocked me down and I can’t get you off my mind. I don’t know how you feel but if I you feel the same way then can I ask you out?” He asked but Tessa kept staring at him not saying anything.
“God this is stupid” Harry sighed and faced elsewhere but Tessa’s hands appeared on his face and made him face her.
“Of course I feel the same way too. I mean you’re the only guy who ever saw me differently and I really appreciate that” she said.
“So you’ll go out with me?” Harry looked surprised.
“Yes… Unless you’ve changed-
“No way! I want you to go out with me, I’ll never change that” Harry shook his head and Tessa smiled. It was quiet, Harry’s eyes constantly fell on Tessa’s lips.
“Do it already” Tessa rolled her eyes and he shifted his head closer to hers. She closed her eyes when he got closer and their lips met.

From Rhema J: I’m really sorry to have ended this book like this. This wasn’t my plan, this was never what I imagined doing to a book but at the same time I didn’t have any plan to write this book at first. Three years back, I was a freak for Facebook writing, I post in the morning and evening and I was online 24/7 just to read comments even if it’s an additional one. I never thought the feeling would soon start to fade ever, I mean I sold the page i thought i could never let go off and look at me, being so on and of on this page I thought I would never neglect.
The truth is I’m growing, some of what I believed in three years back, I don’t believe in it again. Some people I admire back then and can go infinity for their sake, I don’t anymore. The early friends I made while writing on this app, I don’t even talk to them again. Things will never be the way it use to be. I’m in school now, my future is in front of me, writing is in front of me but I have to push forward. After Married To The Hidden Billionaire, I wanted to leave because all I’ve wanted was to get enough engagement and become a great influence and role model to the new ones which I did but then leaving was hard, I found myself coming back to this app and I realized, It’s not about getting popular cause what next? I realize that Facebook will always be apart of me because I wouldn’t have gained self confidence, whether anyone love to hear this or not, this writing app gave me self confidence because i finally found something I’m good at and having people like me for it was the best feeling ever. I love you guys no matter what numbers, I love the friends I made and love what it feels like to be a public figure. You guys might not know but you made half of my dream came true and I am really really thankful.

If there is something I regret then it’s the way this story went. I hate how desperate I was to come back when I wasn’t ready. I hate how I didn’t write this story the way I want. Initially, I was going to write a college story I’ve spent months planning but working in the hospital took all the inspiration from me and I came up with this. If I didn’t do what I did now then I would have hated writing so I had to wrap it up. Christmas story starts soon and like I said, I’m planning a lot for the next story I want to write, my reading library is stuck up with good books, I’m reading like a reader, enjoying, grabbing inspirations, trying to step out of school and research and I hope I love what I create so you guys can love it too.

“What did you just say?” Harry asked, he really hoped that he didn’t hear well.

“I got a call from your mom, she wanted to pick Harry up from school but was told he’s with your father and she went to meet your father, he claims he’s not with him” Emma got over what she saw and got to the most important part.

“That motherfucker” Harry muttered and ran his hands through his hair. He dipped his hands in his pocket to take his phone but he noticed it was not turning on, then he realized he jumped along with the phone into the water.

“Fuck!” He silently cursed. “Where is mom? Let’s go meet her”

“She was in the station the last time I called her,” Emma replied.

“Then let’s go” Harry was about to leave with Emma when Tessa stopped them.

“Let me go with you people, I’ll go with you guys, I wanna help look for Barry” She said and Emma turned to give her a glare as she has been waiting for every opportunity to say something to her.

“And what makes you think we would let you come with us? Don’t you forget you’re the reason why everything is happening!” Emma fired at her.

“Can you just let me come help look for Barry, I’m not doing these for any of you, I’m doing these because I want to help Barry!” Tessa frowned. Why was Emma waiting for every opportunity to paint her black.

“You don’t even know Barry!”

“Yes she does and can we not do this now? Please” Harry gave Emma a pleading look before rushing out of the pool.

POLICE STATION**

“Really sorry ma’am but we can only consider a person missing after 24 hours” the police explained to Amanda for the umpteenth time.

“But my son is a kid, he’s just 6 years old, how can he be somewhere no one knows about and you say until 24 hours? Do you even have kids!” Amanda kept pestering the police officer.

“Look ma’am, we are working by the law, I’m sorry there’s nothing I can do for you” the officer gave her a blank look and continued doing other things.

“Mom!” Amanda turned back when she heard her name, she saw Harry in the station with Emma and a familiar girl that took seconds for her to recognize.

Isn’t she the one that started this mess?

“What are you doing with her Harry?” Amanda was giving Tessa an angry look.

“Mom, that’s not what’s important, what did the police say?” Harry asked.

“That they can’t find Barry until after 24 hours, I went to meet your father and he said he didn’t have him” Amanda shrugged.

“But you know dad can be lying, that man is a drunkard and has always wanted to take Barry with him, why don’t we go ask him again?”

“Or maybe ask the school to tell us how the man looks like” even when Tessa spoke, she received a huge glare but she didn’t mind. She just wanted to help look for Barry.

“What are we going to do now? I’m so confused and I blame you!” Amanda pointed her fingers at Tessa but Tessa only looked sideways.

“You had to come into our lives first, send my son to the hospital, distract and frame him and not make me put too much attention on my kid son now he’s missing!” Amanda was in tears, her eyes said she blamed Tessa and it can’t be denied.

“Mom” Harry put Amanda’s fingers down. “Can we just find Barry first, that’s really important. Emma will go with you to confront Dad and I’ll go with Tessa to the school to investigate” Harry raised his brows, giving his mother a serious look.

Amanda sighed and nodded.

“Let’s go” he told Tessa and they both left.

The journey to the school was silent, Harry stopped walking and faced Tessa.

“I’m really sorry about my mom, she’s just-

“It’s fine, I mean I get why she’s like that. If I was her and my son got missing and I have this mentality that it’s all my fault then I would hate me too” Tessa shrugged.

“Hate is a strong word, my mom doesn’t hate anybody. She just needs to get herself” Harry convinced her and she only nodded as she got in.

They went to the principal’s office since all the students and some teachers had gone home.

“Harry, what are you doing here?” The principal asked.

“We want to see Miss Reine sir, she is my brother’s class teacher but she gave my brother out to someone and now we can’t find him” he reported.

“What do you mean?” The principal looked confused.

“Why do you seem so confused? Are you trying to say you don’t know what goes on in your school? A staff of yours sold a kid out” Tessa moved forward.

“You guys are ridiculous, we don’t do things like that here. And please both of you better leave before I have the security drive you out” the principal glared at them.

“You’re the one who should be afraid Mr principal! You had just one job and it’s too watch over kids but you can’t and do you know what would happen if the police starts their action. This school would be locked down” Tessa shouted and the principal flinched a little.

“What am I to do then?” He asked.

“Give us Miss Reine’s house address, let’s ask her a few questions,” Tessa replied.

The principal looked at Harry and he nodded.

He sighed; “Fine”

“I’m telling you Amanda I don’t have him, why won’t you believe me” Harry’s dad was drunk as usual, he even had two bottles of beer in his hands as he spoke.

“Please, Barry is just a kid. You don’t want him to see you in this state do you? You don’t want him to have this impression of you as a father when he’s mature do you?” Emma said.

“Get out, I don’t care about your opinion” he scoffed and walked past then but Emma followed him.

“Mr Milo you used to be great, if you weren’t a coward and haven’t given up in the past when you failed then you should be mentioned as one of the greatest men alive but look at you now. You blame your kids for being the disappointment but you’re the big disappointment. Barry will never like you when he’s old enough!!” Emma shouted and Milo turned to her in anger.

“What? You can’t stand the truth? Take a look at your wife, she’s scared of you, she even hide her kids from you. Go and look everywhere and see how all fathers are with their kids! Failure or not they try to be there for them but you just let yourself lose Mr Milo” Emma sighed and looked at Amanda, she was in tears.

“You think I’m a loser, you think my kids think I’m a loser?” He faced Amanda and asked.

Amanda only shook her head and burst out into tears. Milo also burst out in tears.

“I’m a loser, I can’t get all I’ve lost back, I just want my kids to me someone, I don’t want them to look like me” he cried.

“Milo, you used to be a great father and I’m sure if you realize that it’s okay to fall sometimes and not be too hard on yourself then everything will be fine. I won’t hate you, I don’t hate you and the kids won’t hate you either” Amanda said and Emma nodded.

Milo sighed and dropped his beer on the floor. “I really wish I was with Barry but he’s not, I don’t have him with me” he said seriously.

Amanda threw her head backwards. She was about to utter I give up when her phone bleed, a strange text appeared on her phone.

Then the picture of a mask was sent next.

Emma tried to turn back and leave but it was too late because the two boys came out of the locker room.

“Emma? What are you doing here?” Dean was shocked. “How long have you been here? What did you hear?” Not just shocked but Dean was nervous too, Emma was the last person he wished would hear this.

Emma whose legs was tied too the floor slowly pressed her lips together before turning to face him.

“Yes Dean, I was fear for long and I heard everything!” She boldly told him, her eyes were already getting misty.

Dean was quiet, he didn’t know what to say for a minute and Emma only shook her head, feeling so disappointed.

“I thought.. I thought I’ve had it wrong all these while, I thought you weren’t as bad as I thought but I’m wrong. You’re a real jerk and I must have been so stupid, couldn’t believe I was a little close to buying your tricks” Emma gave him a painful look before bringing out the envelope.

“I didn’t come to listen to your crappy conversation anyways. I came to give you this” She threw the envelope on his face and turned around to leave.

“You’re not gonna ask why I did all that?” Dean asked out before Emma could go far.

Emma only scoffed but she didn’t bother turning back. “Is there any excuse? You did all that because you’re just mean, you hate people like us and you want to see us suffer”.

“No Emma you got it all wrong. I did everything because of you!” He said and she turned to face him.

“What do you mean?”

“You really don’t know? I did all these because I like you! I like you Emma and I didn’t know when it started but I got so freaking jealous seeing the way you look at Harry and the way you worry for him. I did it all because I like you Emma, I like you” He confessed and Emma only stared at him for a while before bursting out into laughter.

“Nice try Dean but try harder next time” She eyed him and left.

Dean slowly slipped on the floor and sat there.
“I can’t believe this man, she just laughed my feelings off I mean she.. I’m not joking this time, she really makes me feel different”

“Well” Chad came to seat on the floor beside him. “Now you know how it feels when you do this to the other girls”

“That sucks men, I mean I feel like shit. Look I really feel bad about what I did to Harry, I know I’m a jerk ass but it’s not to the extent of framing someone for drugs shit. I didn’t know what came over me, that’s all fucked up men” Dean looked at the floor in disappointment.

“If Emma reports this, you’re gonna get in trouble” Chad told him.

“Yes I didn’t know that, thank you for making me feel worse than I already am” Dean raised one of his brows up in a sarcastic tone.

“I don’t want Tessa to get into trouble either, I give you three days Dean. If you don’t fix the mess you caused then I’ll report you myself” Chad gave him a serious look before standing up and leaving.

Dean only just sighed to himself.

“What does it look like I’m doing Chad?” Emma twitched her lips out of it.

“Okay stay out of it! Dean will take care of the mess himself” He said.

“How? By paying his way through? I want him to feel punished Chad, Harry slept in jail for a week. Did he know what he went through?” Emma’s eyes was already teary.

“Harry Harry Harry, why are you trying to kill yourself over a guy that don’t even give a fuck!”

“What are you saying Chad, Harry is my best friend!” Emma pulled her hands away from Chad’s grip.

“That’s right, let’s deceive ourselves. Harry is your best friend, yes let’s all believe that” Chad rolled his eyes in a sarcastic way.

“Okay you got me, I like him” Emma shrugged, giving him a ‘do what you have to do look’

“You really like how he’s been so close to Tessa? How about you just keep your mouth close and no one knows about this, Harry can go in thinking Tessa was the one who framed him and you get to stay with him and I get to help Dean” He shrugged.

“And what about you? You like Tessa right? She’s gonna get into trouble so what would you do about it?” Emma crossed her arms under her breast.

Chad was silent for a while before letting out a slow smile.

“Don’t worry about me, just don’t get Dean into trouble and I’ll make sure nothing happens to Tessa” Chad flashed her a smile, he touched her shoulders before leaving.

Emma was so confused at this point, she likes Harry but should she really be selfish? She wasn’t sure of what to think anymore.

The taxi stopped in front of the school and Amanda stepped down. She tipped the man and walked to school but she noticed all the teachers whispering to themselves.

“Good afternoon Miss Reine, I came for my son” Amanda smiled at Barry’s class teacher but the confused look the young pretty woman gave her made Amanda equally confused too.

“It’s like you didn’t get me, I said I came for Barry, in case you’ve forgotten, my son name is Barry Jones” she told her.

“You came to get Barry? I thought… I thought his father came to pick him up” Reine said.

“What are you talking about?” Amanda hoped she couldn’t hear well.

“I said Barry’s father came to pick him up” Reine repeated which almost drove Amanda crazy.

“He what?”

Tessa just stepped out of the female locker room, dressed in a long jacket and swimsuit. She got to the pool and took off her jacket before jumping inside the water and swimming around.

‘We are getting married’ her aunt’s voice came to her head but she shook her head and continued swimming.

‘You shouldn’t trust her Harry, she’s evil, evil evil’ Emma’s voice kept echoing on Tessa’s head that she got to close her eyes and let the water take her in.

Harry was just entering the pool- still dressed in his uniform when he saw her. He thought she was trying to kill herself and his eyes widened.

“Tessa don’t do it!!” He shouted and without second thoughts, he jumped into the water.

If Harry forgot one thing then it was he couldn’t swim. He wasn’t even able to swim before her when he began trying not to drawn, it was Tessa that swam to him and pushed him off the water.

Harry’s breathing was ragged, Tessa only waited for him to calm down with a not too pleased look on her face.

“Are you crazy! What do you think you were doing jumping in when you can’t even swim, are you planning to die?” She yelled at him.

“I thought you were planning to kill yourself” He muttered.

“And why would I even want to do that?” Tessa gave him a kind of look.

“Because of the pressure, the whole drug stuffs”

Tessa groaned at what Harry just spilled.

“That’s bullshìt, I don’t care if no one believes me. I’m not that weak okay? I can’t kill myself because of some bullshìt” She rolled her eyes and stood up but Harry stood up and held her hands before she could move.

“Listen Tessa I -” He wasn’t able to complete what he wanted to say when Emma suddenly rushed in, shouting;

“Harry, Barry is missing!” She shouted but slowly froze when she saw Tessa with him, her eyes trailed down to their hands.

Harry slowly left Tessa’s hands and turned to give Emma his full attention.

“What did you just say?”

“I didn’t leave this here” She thought to herself as she took it and opened it. She almost gasped when she saw the money, she counted it and it was really ten thousand Dollars.

Dean wasn’t joking, he actually dropped the money for her. The envelope fell from her hands out of shock but she immediately picked it back. She would thank Dean for the letter but she better hurry up and get Harry off jail.

She rushed out of the school instantly and unknown to her, Dean was somewhere behind her. He smiled as he watched her leave but when someone’s arms landed on his shoulders, he jerked.

“Smiling and peeking at her. Even giving her money without asking for her pùssy in return. Very impressive” Ace smiled at him.

“Get off me and quit being annoying” Dean pushed Ace hands away from his shoulders.

“Check yourself bro, make sure you don’t smile like a food when you think of her or your heart doesn’t beat fast. Don’t join the committed community, remember our pack bro” Ace beat his chest dramatically as he spoke.

“Fuck off” Dean pushed him off and left.

He went to his locker room and recalled what Ace told him. ‘Make sure your chest doesn’t beat fast when you think of her’. He suddenly recalled her worried face as she was treating his injuries, her flawless skin, pretty face, pink lips and soft hair. Remembering this made something weird happen to his chest.

Emma got to Harry’s house and was about to knock when Amanda opened the door and stepped out.

“I was about to call you, I raised $5000”.

“I raised $10,000”

They both said at the same time before giving themselves a weird look.

“How did you raise that amount of money so fast?” Emma asked.

“I should ask you that,” Amanda replied.

“We’ll ask later, let’s go get Harry out of the station” Emma said and Amanda nodded and they both rushed to the station.

When they got there, they met the officers.

“I’m here for my son Harry Jones, I want to bill him” Amanda said.

“Actually..” The officer’s voice was cut off by someone else’s voice.

“Mom”

Both Emma and Amanda turned back to see Harry running towards them. He gave his mother a tight hug.

Amanda was happy but still confused. How did he get out?

“We are really sorry for not digging into the case as we should. The real coperate surrounded herself today” the officer said with an apologetic voice.

They were all shocked, especially Emma and Harry. Hope it wasn’t who they were thinking it was.

Amanda didn’t trust this man. She just needed $5000 dollars more to get Harry out of jail. Can she be lucky enough to get Harry out and win more?

“You’ve been having quite enough luck tonight, why not try the biggest one and leave here with almost half a million?” The masked man said again. Although Amanda couldn’t see his face, she couldn’t trust his smile.

“Do it, woman or are you suddenly afraid?” The first man she defeated gave her a mocking look.

“Yes, where did your pride go all of the sudden?” Another man asked.

“Do it if you dare. You can compete with the boss anyways” another man added.

Amanda was annoyed. These people were testing her and she knew they were mad because she defeated them. Now they wanted her to go against this man with this creepy smile that couldn’t be trusted.

“What do you say mammie? Are you afraid to take down the big boss? Okay I will give you a raise. If you actually do defeat me then I will increase the money to one million dollars” His voice sounded charming and tempting.

“This is your chance to become a millionaire woman. Just take the offer and let go of that $5000, it’s nothing bad” A man said.

The pressure was getting too overwhelming for Amanda that she had to agree.

“Fine” Amanda dropped the five thousand dollars.

“Smartest decision” the masked man smiled at her again then the game started.

It felt intense, Amanda was putting every effort she could but the mask man wasn’t even trying. He was blocking her every move and it would get to some point when he would yawn.

“I back out, I’m no longer playing” Amanda suddenly stopped. If they keep up then she might lose her five thousand dollars and money and Harry would suffer from it.

“Back out? You’ve never been to a gamble before, so what are you doing? You don’t just back out, you’d have to play, win or lose” The mask man said simply.

“I don’t care about your rules, I came here to make urgent money and I can leave whenever I want!” She stumped and tried leaving but the bouncers blocked her.

“Get out of my way!” She glared at them.

“You’re going nowhere ma’am” the bouncer gave her a serious look. If she was a man then they would have beaten her up by now but the boss doesn’t allow the beating of women.

“Let her go” the mask man didn’t need to repeat himself before they obeyed. They made way for her and she stormed out.

“Really boss ? You’re just gonna let her go just like that?” One of the bouncers asked.

Emma didn’t mind what the students were saying as she found her way to her locker. She took her books and went to class. She sat beside Aisha but Aisha changed her seat immediately.

“I thought we were friends” Emma sounded confused.

“And I thought you were cool, sorry I don’t hang out with drug dealers” Aisha clapped back at her.

Emma rolled her eyes and shook her head. She could have been hurt but what’s the point? They were how people in this school were. They only care about themselves, people whom you think are your friends are not actually your friends.

Tessa walked in causing Emma to give her a bad look but Tessa didn’t mind.

“It’s all her fault” Emma thought and someone came to sit beside her. She turned to see Dean and she rolled her eyes. Don’t this boy ever give up? Everyone already distanced themselves from her so why wouldn’t he?

“You shouldn’t sit beside the friend of a drug dealer,” she told him.

“Who cares, you’re Emma and not Harry. I went to sit beside Emma without caring about Harry. Is that my problem” Dean replied and Emma rolled her eyes.

“You really wanna get him out of there don’t you?” He asked.

“Don’t talk to me,” she muttered.

Emma didn’t say anything and he proceeded.

“You don’t really have to show pride in everything. It’s good to let your shït down sometimes. Just tell me the amount and I’ll give it to you” Dean didn’t even know if he was pleading with her or begging her but he just didn’t care anymore.

Dean was right, Emma had pride and she admitted it to herself but Harry needed to be out of there. He has been there for a week, he hasn’t eaten or bathed well, he was skinny before but now he’s looking really malnourished.

“Ten thousand dollars” she told him without looking him in the eyes. “And you can laugh all you want and say we can’t afford ten thousand dollars, that’s fine and you can ask me to kneel in front of the whole class to beg for the money that’s even better and I will do it right now because I best friend needs me” As Emma spoke, she wanted to stand to stand but was prevented by Dean.

He grabbed her arms, his hands were bigger so hers fit well on it and he looked serious- deadpan serious.

“You shouldn’t see me as a jerk everytime” he said, then stood up and left.

Emma didn’t know if he was confused or upset. Why was he even upset? Wasn’t he a jerk? He was a real jerk wasn’t he? She rolled her eyes at his childish drama.

“I’m never going to get out of here am I?” Harry sighed out of tiredness.

“Don’t say that to yourself, mummy is going to look for a way to get you out” Amanda said softly.

“Well mummy has been saying that for a week now not nothing has happened!” Harry snapped and everywhere turned silent.

Amanda was surprised that her son could get angry. She had always seen him with a smile or tried to be funny even in the worst situation now he was..

“I’m sorry” Harry’s voice came out as a whisper. “I’m just angry at myself. Ten years of work from this family can’t provide ten thousand dollars and you know that mom so why should I bother myself. I’m pretty sure my mates would have helped their way out of here within thirty minutes but not us mom not us”

A teardrop fell from Amanda’s eyes but she wiped it off.

“I will get you out of here Harry, just wait huh?” Amanda smiled at him and nodded, as if to assure herself that she was capable of taking her son out before leaving.

Harry sighed and rested his head on the wall, he only closed his eyes for a minute when another footstep was heard.

“How am I supposed to think, what am I supposed to know? You’ve never liked me even when I try to be close to you. We opened up that night and I confronted you about smoking then coincidentally the next day I ended up in prison for drugs” Harry shrugged simply as he spoke.

“So you don’t trust me? You think I had something to do with this. I’m that heartless to frame you and get you locked up? I thought..” Tessa sighed to herself and looked the other side.

“I might be so stupid thinking that among everyone in this world, you saw me differently” She added but lowered her voice when she said that part.

“So you’re trying to gaslight? Emma saw you smoking and you spoke to her in a rude way!”

“And if I am that person you think I am then I would have had her locked up earlier!!” Tessa yelled back at him.

And there was silence for some seconds, just the both of them exchanging angry looks.

“What are you doing here!?” An angry female voice was heard. Tessa and Harry looked to see Emma storming towards them.

“Get out of here Tessa you’ve done enough! Don’t listen to her Harry! All she’s ever done was to use and manipulate you!” Emma told him then faced Tessa again.

“What are you still doing here? If you don’t leave now I swear I’ll make it known to the officers that you’re here to cause trouble so leave!” Emma gave her a warning look.

Tessa fist was folded tight but she nodded and left as asked then Emma faced Harry. “Don’t mind her or listen to anything she says to you. Remember she’s the reason you’re here in the first place, it’s all because of her! She’s what people think she is! She’s pure evil!”

Tessa who was leaving could still hear all what Emma was saying. She clenched her fist even harder as she stepped out of the prison. There was a white familiar car waiting for her.

The screen rolled down and Chad’s head popped out.

“Want me to give you a ride back?” He asked.

Tessa didn’t answer, she kept leaving. Chad rolled his eyes and followed her.

“Believe it or not but you need someone to talk to. Get in” he said.

Tessa sighed and stopped moving, Chad opened the car for her to enter which she did but didn’t say anything.

“It sucks that they blame you for what happened, I mean you don’t even smoke. Sometimes I wonder how the retard thinks” Chad said as he started the car.

Tessa didn’t reply, she just looked out the window.

“You shouldn’t trouble yourself for that boy Tessa, he’s not worth it and not worth making you feel the way you do” He added.

“You don’t know anything about me or how I feel so you don’t have any right to lecture me about my feelings” Tessa muttered.

“You’re right, I don’t know anything about you but I know you care about what Harry thinks of you” Chad scoffed painfully then Tessa didn’t say anything, his face clenched even more and his grip on his wheel tightened.

The place was just like what Amanda pictured a nightclub to look like. The music was loud and the light was dimmed. When Amanda stepped in, she covered her nose because the place reeked of alcohol. There were various men sitting and playing cards.

“What are you looking for here?” A huge man stopped her. “Women are not allowed!”

“And the last time I checked, gambling isn’t for men alone” Amanda twitched her lips as she retorted.

While she was arguing with the bouncer, she didn’t know she was being watched by someone.

“Look around ma’am, did you see anyone woman here? You look like you have kids so can you go home and take care of them!” The bouncer argued.

Amanda was about to say something when a man putting on an eye mask walked towards them. The bouncer bowled his head immediately.

“Did I ever say a woman can’t play?” He crossed his arms as he faced the bouncer, his voice filled with authority.

“I’m sorry boss” the bouncer didn’t dare raise his head.

“My dear, you can go ahead” the man’s lips curved up to a smile.

Amanda didn’t give him any expression as she went to sit with the other men.

“Woman, what are you looking for here?” One of the men asked.

“I’m here to do what everyone one of you are here for” Amanda dropped ten dollars on the table.

The men only laughed to themselves as they knew they would take all her money. Then the game started, Amanda gave her a card to play and she began playing with the other men.

After some minutes of shouting and arguing.

“Last card” Amanda said and played.

The men were shocked to see she just won the first around, using five dollars to win five hundred dollars.

“Who’s the man now?” Amanda smirked, she was still being watched by the mask man unknowingly.

“It’s just five hundred dollars, there’s nothing to brag about” the man rolled his eyes.

Amanda smirked and played again with ten dollars this time.

This time she had one thousand dollars.

“Believe me I don’t, I don’t know how that got there” Harry replied.

The officers did some scanning and the details of the locker came out. It had Harry’s picture and his name with other information about him.

“You kid, you’re coming with us” the senior officer said as he motioned two junior officers to take Harry with them.

“Hey don’t touch him! He doesn’t know anything!!” Emma yelled when the officers came close to Harry but they didn’t pay any attention to her.

Harry was shackled and he was too stunned to speak. He slowly carried his eyes to Tessa, she looked surprised, like she couldn’t believe they were taking him along with them and just like that, Harry was out of sight.

“Hey let him go!! Where are you taking him too!!” Emma followed the officers outside but that didn’t stop them from moving.

They threw Harry into the car and sped up. Emma chased after the car- running the fastest she could but it wasn’t enough and she lost sight of the car.

“Harry!! Bring him back, he didn’t do it!!” She fell on her knees and burst out in tears for some minutes before she stopped as she recalled something.

She recalled when she bumped into Tessa using smoke and cocaine in the female restroom and also remembered how Tessa threatened her if she dared say anything to anyone.

Emma angrily stood up from the ground and stormed back to the school.

“I can’t believe he would do that!

“So shameless of him!

“Can’t believe he use drug, I hope he never comes back to this school

“Maybe his friends should be arrested too!

Emma ignored what the students were saying as her eyes roamed round the corridor for Tessa. She finally found Tessa beside her locker and she stormed over.

The first thing Emma did was to grab her by the hair.

“You bitch! This is all your fault!!” Emma yelled and continued to pull, her aim was to plug her scalp and make her bald if possible.

Tessa searched for Emma’s hands that were on her hair and when she found them. She grabbed and twisted it then pushed Emma to her locker.

“How dare you!!” Tessa looked really angry, her first was clenched tightly, ready to throw a punch on Emma’s face.

“Go ahead!! Hit me!! You’re so evil Tessa! If you know you don’t like Harry then you should have just told him. You don’t have to go as far as framing him and sending him to jail! Do you know the gravity of what you just did!?” Emma yelled to Tessa’s face.

“It wasn’t me,” Tessa muttered in a calm tone.

“We both know you’re the only one in the school that uses smoke! I caught you red handed in the female restroom!!” Emma yelled again.

“I said IT’S NOT ME!” This time Tessa threw a punch and Emma shut her eyes tight, thinking the punch would come to her but it didn’t hit her, instead the punch hit the locker beside her.

There was a bit of silence for a while.

“I didn’t put the drugs in Harry’s locker, I don’t even know the passcode to his locker so why would I do that?” Tessa said before releasing a sigh.

“I don’t get why I have to explain myself to you” she muttered as she stepped away from Emma and began leaving.

“Tessa!!” Emma called but Tessa didn’t stop walking. “You will pay for what you did to Harry I promise you that! You will regret ever framing him! You will regret it Tessa!!!” Emma shouted on top of her lungs but Tessa didn’t bother stopping, she continued leaving till she was out of sight.

Harry was thrown inside an empty cell.

“You can’t just throw me in here without investigating. I had no idea that the cocaine was in my locker! Someone might have put it in there!” Harry said before the officer could leave.

“Well do you know anyone who uses drugs and you suspect might have framed you?” The officer asked.

“I don’t” Harry wanted to speak but he recalled seeing Tessa using drugs last night but she couldn’t do that right? They were just starting to get along.

“I don’t know anyone,” he muttered.

“Then you are susceptible. The drug dealer we caught said he supplied to someone in westely high and we found you have it” the officer shrugged.

“But it wasn’t me, you can call the dealer himself to confirm” Harry frowned.

“Sure will” the cops replied and left.

Harry sighed and sat on the floor. Tessa wouldn’t do that to him right? She’s not as bad as people painted her. She wouldn’t frame him right?

Later that day, Amanda arrived at the station in tears.

“That is what most parents say. They say they know their children but they don’t know anything and I know you ma’am, your husband has been here countless of times” The moment that statement left the officer’s mouth, Amanda frowned.

“What do you mean by that?” She angrily asked.

“Like father like son is what I’m saying ma’am. If your husband drinks and does drugs then why wouldn’t your son inherit from his behavior” the officer shrugged and Amanda almost slapped him if Emma hadn’t held her back.

“Don’t do it aunt, Harry will get into more trouble” Emma whispered.

Another officer walked in with a file.

“Your son is not up to eighteen which means he can be billed out but will be under probation” the officer said.

“How much?” Amanda asked.

“Since he’s here for using illegal drugs, he’s a minor. He can be billed out with the sum of $10,000”

Both Emma and Amanda gasped.

“Where would we get that amount from?” Amanda began crying.

“Your son should have thought of that before using illegal drugs” the officer shrugged and left while Emma wondered why they could be so heartless.

Amanda went over to where Harry was locked and met him sitting on the floor.

“Harry,” Amanda called slowly.

“You believe me right? You know I wouldn’t use illegal drugs” Harry immediately stood up from the floor as he asked.

“I believe you and I promise you’ll be out of here. I’ll do everything I can to raise money and bill you out” Amanda promised him.

“How much is the money?” Harry asked.

“It doesn’t matter,” Amanda shook her head.

“Please mom, just tell me how much it is” Harry pleaded and Amanda sighed as she revealed it to him.

“It’s ten thousand dollars” she couldn’t bring herself to say it out.

“What?” Harry gasped.

Even ten years of work can’t bring his family to raise that kind of money. Does this mean he would stay here for the rest of God knows when?

“Visiting time is over and come with me ma’am” An officer came to announce before leaving.

Amanda followed the officer while Emma faced Harry.

“I don’t wanna be that girl but I think Tessa is the one who framed you. I caught her using cocaine once and she threatened that I wouldn’t like the outcome. She spoke to me so rudely and she even said she would drive us out if we didn’t belong here” Emma told him.

“I don’t believe it” Harry shook his head in disagreement.

“Harry!!” Emma yelled his name and he slowly looked at her.

“Look at you now. You’re sitting here for something you didn’t do! Tessa who’s meant to be here is relaxing at home. She’s not who you think she is, Harry! She didn’t care about you and she framed you, she did!’ Emma told him with tears dropping from her eyes.

“This is what she wants, this is what everyone in the school wants. They hate us because we are poor and they want to get rid of us. Tessa is not exceptional!!!” Emma shouted this last part and a tear dropped rolled out of Harry’s eyes.

“Apparently someone has been involved in the usage of drugs in this school and the corps are here for the person. Since no one would talk, they decided to do a school search” Navy reply.

Harry’s heart skipped a beat, the first person he thought off was Tessa. He slowly took his eyes to her and could see she looked nervous.

“We found to drugs! Who’s locker is this?” An officer asked and Emma’s eyes widened when she saw the locker they were referring too.

“There’s a girl in here” The boys began complaining as they tried to hide their naked body.

Emma didn’t care that the boys were shouting on her. Instead she went to Dean and boldly stood few centimeters in front of him.

“I begged you, I pleaded with you not make me fell but look what you fucking did! Was that funny to you huh!?” She shouted.

Dean looked left and right before looking at her again. “Come on Emma, anyone can testify that was funny” he rolled his eyes- stating the obvious.

Emma smirked and moved closer then out of the blue, she grabbed one of his clutches and he fell on the floor.

“Now anyone can testify this is funny” She smiled before walking away.

The boys began laughing as Dean struggled to get up. He looked up in confusion.

“One more word and all of you will be kicked out of the hockey game” he added and everyone closed their mouth.

TESSA’S PLACE★

It was evening, Tessa was in her room. She was sitting on her bed and slowly playing the guitar when a knock sounded on the door.

“Come in” She said and her aunt stepped in. Seeing her aunt in her room, make her rolled her eyes.

“Dinner is ready dear” Flores said gently.

“I’ll pass” Tessa didn’t bother sparing her a glance as she rejected.

“Please” Flores pleaded.

“This dinner is important, I have an announcement to make and I’ll be calling a special guest” Flores pleaded again.

Tessa didn’t reply but it was a way for her to say she approves and would come down so Flores just smiled and went back to the living room.

When Tessa came to the living room, she met Flores setting flowers on the table and it left her wondering what kind of announcement Flores was planning to make.

“Tessa you came down, there are more flowers in the kitchen, please help me bring them” Flores looked at her with a smile.

Tessa twitched her lips, she wanted to argue but she only shook her head and went to get the flowers as asked.

“Thank you Tessa” Flores smiled.

Tessa couldn’t help but look at her aunt head to toes. She was dressed in an evening desk and even put on make up. The flowers, the dress, the make up, hope it wasn’t what Tessa was thinking.

Flores walked to Tessa and held her mouth.

“Please Tessa, don’t be mad and be on your best behavior when the guest arrive. Promise me” Flores said softly.

Tessa only pulled her hands away from Flores and went to sit on the chair. Flores also sat down and seconds later the bell rang and the maids went to get it.

A black shinning pair of a well polished shoes slowly stepped in and the view was sent up to the face of the person. It was a man not too old and not too Young. He looked like he should be in his middle or early forties. He was dressed in a neat black suit but that wasn’t Tessa’s problem.

Tessa slowly stood up when she saw him including Flores.

“D.. dad?” She was shocked- her eyes says it all.

“Tessa” He called softly, he didn’t move forward and only just stood by the door.

Tessa looked at her aunt before looking at him. Her eyes was glistering in tears and she didn’t know if it was because she was a little bit happy to see her father after so many years but then why was he just showing up now. Why didn’t he come sooner?

“Tessa” Flores called softly before staring at the man in front of her. “We will be getting married soon” she completed and the system in Tessa’s body stopped functioning.

Did she just heard getting married soon?

“I don’t understand! Why would you be getting married to your sister’s late husband! What kind of sister are you!??” Tessa shouted.

“Show your aunt some respect Tessa, we are sure your mother would be happy for us if she were alive” The moment the man who happened to be Tessa’s dad spoke up, Tessa didn’t waste a second to pick up one of the flower faced and threw it at him.

However he was quick enough to dodge and the vase shattered on the door behind him.

When Tessa gave him a look, he nodded- motioning her to come at him. She just shook her head and continued leaving.

“It’s not that bad to admit we are friends” Harry scoffed as he followed her.

“Stop following me!” She stopped walking.

“Or what?” Harry dared but it was bad cause Tessa was already pulling up her sleeve.

“Okay.. I just remembered I have something else to do. See you later” Harry smiled at her and faster than a blink he was gone.

“Idiot” Tess scoffed and a little smile formed her face but it didn’t last up to a second when it vanished.

“Bye aunty Emma, Harry and I will get ice cream from you when we are coming back” Barry waved at Emma as he was set to leave with his brother.

“Bye bye” Emma waved at them as they left. She sighed and went back to continue her job when the door opened and Dean walked in.

“Hey friend” He winked and Emma gasped.

“What are you doing here?” She asked with her eyes wide open. “How do you even know where I work?”

“We are friends now, it’s normal I know all these. Hey is this how you spend your Saturday? That’s pretty boring, come with me let me take you out?” He leaned against the counter where she was doing the dishes.

“Leave me alone Dean, look for someone else to bug I won’t fall for your trap” Emma said angrily. She went to pack what she would need for delivery.

“You still think this is all a trap, I told you I’m a changed person” Dean pouted.

Emma didn’t pay him any attention.

“Hey Emma, can you help me deliver this at the fourth street down town?” A female worker asked.

“Yes of course” Emma smiled and collected the package. She stepped out of the shop and Dean followed her outside.

“Can you stop following me? I’m working!” Emma was already frustrated.

“If you want to spend your Saturday being boring then let’s go boring together” Dean winked at her again.

Emma angrily climbed her scooter and rode off. When she looked back, she couldn’t find Dean and a smile appeared on her face.

“Finally lost that idiot” She breathed out of relief but the next second a car horn sounded beside her. She looked to her side only to see Dean driving a sport car, he wiggled his brows at her.

Emma groaned and threw her head backward. This was gonna take a really really long day.

“Listen to me Harry, I’ll go get us ice cream, just stay here and play with your balloon okay?” Harry looked at Barry with pleading eyes.

“Yeeye! I love ice cream!!” Barry jumped happily.

“Good boy” Harry smiled at him before running off to get the ice cream.

Barry began playing with his balloon but I accidentally flew from his hands.

“My balloon” he yelled and began chasing after it but the balloon flew to a tree and stayed there.

Barry wouldn’t let this balloon go like that, he decided to climb the tree and get it so he began climbing the tree. Harry just left the ice cream stand, he went to where he told Barry to stand and he couldn’t find him.

“I thought I told him not to leave here” Harry sighed and looked up. He was shocked to see Barry trying to climb a tree.

“What the… Barry what are you doing there!?” He shouted but before he could even run towards him, Barry’s hand missed a branch of the tree and he began falling.

“Barry!!!” Harry screamed in terror.

“Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!” Barry screamed as he was falling. He closed his eyes expecting his body to crash to the follow any seconds from now but nothing happened.

The little boy finally opened his eyes only to find out that someone caught him. Harry was also shocked that someone was quick enough to save his brother from dieing but what shocked him the most was the person that caught Barry.

It was Tessa.
