đŸ‘«đŸ’ž The Other Woman Episode Thirty Eight:

By morning, mama had already been discharged, just as the doctor had said and she was sitting in the back seat, behind Nkem and her husband, as they drove home.

She woke up to find herself on the hospital bed, and had been both surprised and worried, afraid that something serious could be wrong with her.

“Mama, you know I’ll tell you if there’s any reason to worry. Believe me, the doctor said you just passed out because you were worrying too much” Joe told her, when she kept asking to be told what exactly was wrong with her.

But she was only able to relax, after Nkem put in some words too, begging her not to worry so much about anything.

“Were you able to reach the pregnant girl?” she asked all of a sudden, as their car continued to glide along the tarred road, towards their house.

The couple exchanged worried glances, recalling than they had both agreed to ensure that mama didn’t have to see reasons to worry about Farida and Max.

“Oh yes. I was told they travelled to see Farida’s father” Joe said tersly, his grip on the steering wheel, getting tighter

“Wonderful! So they are already looking for ways to get their union legal, when they are yet to sort things out with the people, whose lives they have tried to mess up?

“Remind me Joe, but does she have the right, by law, to get married to another person, when she’s still married to you?” mama asked her son.

“Actually mama, I was told they wanted an elderly person to be with them when they come to ask me to let her go be with the father of her unborn child, and to inform me officially, that the child is actually not mine” Joe lied to his mother, not knowing how to tell her that Farida and Max, had gone missing, without making her worry some more.

Very early that morning, he had called to know the situation of things, and didn’t know whether to be happy or to get more worried with the report the officer gave him.

“All the boys on the mission had been captured, with some of them falling in the course of exchange of gĂ»n shots between them and my men.

“But their leader was nowhere to be found, same as their target and his companion.

“I had my boys searching for them in the neighbourhood, and even had to expand my perimeter, but we were unable to get Stone and the kids” the police officer had told Joe.

“My God! What does this mean? Could they have been taken away from the crìmù scene before your boys arrived?” Joe asked the officer, who said he wasn’t quite sure of what had happened.

“I am still trying to wrap my hands around all that is playing out in this case. We’ll continue with investigations, and let you know whatever comes up later” he told Joe, and hung up.

Joe and Nkem continued to analyze the situation with Amarachi and Ben, and in time, Ben came up with some points.

“Could they have been captured and taken away by Stone, before the police arrived?” Nkem asked

“If they had already been captured and taken away by Stone, I do not see any reason his boys still had to make an appearance, and put up the fight the fight they put up with the police.

“Their boss didn’t sound like he needed to be in the picture, from how carefully, he had already made the plans for the operation. So he could have chosen to stay back and wait for the boys to do the dìrty work.

“But the question is, where are they? Where is Farida and Max? Why did they choose to go offline, at this time?

“Is it possible that they had coincidentally both gone off because their phones ran out of battery?

“Isn’t it so much of a coincidence that they both went dark, on the very night that they were targets of a notorious àssassin?” Ben asked.

“You are so right Ben. If the target was already out of location, the boys had no reason to make the attempts that they made” Joe concurred.

They talked and deliberated on the matter, until they came to the conclusion, that since Mandy mentioned Farida’s father when she called Farida that night, the two lovers may have gone to see Farida’s dad.

But there was no way Joe was going to tell his mother that they were only making postulations and trying to assume this, from that!

He was happy though that he had been able to quench his mother’s curiosity, and she was back to talking about the things she wanted to get before Nkem out to bed.

Before they left, Ben told Joe and Nkem to go on, promising to bring Amarachi home, when he was done with what the hospital’s MD asked him to help fix with the CCTV cameras for a particular section of the hospital.

So after they left, he went down to work, trying to sort out the things his boss needed him to do, before he left.

Amarachi was surfing the internet, keeping herself busy while she waited for Ben.

“Wait! Wait!! I hope this isn’t what I think it is?” Ben screàmed suddenly, and got Amarachi clearly startled.

“What is it Ben? You’re making me afraid. What are you looking at your screen as if your have just seen something terrifying?” Amarachi asked, getting up to join Ben on his table.

“Amara, it is Farida and Max! They’re here in this hospital, and I don’t think their conditions look good” Ben said.

Amarachi rushed to Ben’s sides, took a peek at the screen and covered her mouth in time, to prevent the screàm from escaping her throat.

“What could have happened to them? Jesus! Are they going to be okay?” Amarachi asked.

“I wouldn’t know! And there’s only one way to find out. We’ll go to the emergency unit and know what’s going on” Been said, getting up quickly.

He dialed Joe’s number as he moved, knowing that he needed to update both him and Nkem on want was going on.

“Hello Sir, I just found Farida and Max. They’re both in the hospital here, but their conditions are really unsightly” Ben told him in a summary.

“Okay Ben, tell the man I’ll be interested in the deal, and I’m sure my wife would like to take a look at the items too.

“But I just arrived my house now. I’ll settle mama, then head out to take a look at the goods with my wife” Joe answered quickly, his facial expressions, remaining as controlled as he wouldn’t have imagined he could keep it.

He got mama into her room and asked the house keeper to take care of mama, before he rushed out with Nkem, heading to the hospital again.

“Nkem, I know you already know that we’re not truly going to see any goods.

“Ben just found the kids, and they’re in the hospital. But you have to take a grip if yourself.

“Ben said they’re not in good shape, but I think you deserve to see them, and know if there’s anything we can do for them.

“I do not need to remind you that you have to remember that you’re first a mother to be, before any other thing.

“Do not act recklessly because worrying so much won’t change anything.

“Remember that worrying is like a rock chair. It keeps moving, but goes nowhere. Please do not put my unborn child to any risk with your reactions because in the end, the reactions won’t be the reason they get better or otherwise” he told his wife, who only nodded and continued to blink rapidly to keep the tears back.

When they got to the hospital, Ben was waiting to take them to the emergency ward.

And true to what Ben had said, Farida and Ben were both lying on their respective beds, still unconscious and looking really bĂŁd.

Joe and Ben assessed the situation, and in no time, they could see that apart from the first aid to stop the blĂȘĂȘdings, nothing much had been done for them.

Ben called the shots, and the doctors were scurrying everywhere, and Nkem was sitting outside the ward, praying the help didn’t come too late for Max and Farida.

đŸ‘«đŸ’ž The Other Woman Episode Thirty Seven:

While Nkem was still racking her brain to get an answer as to who may have come to her house at that time of the night, her husband walked up to the door, to know who was there.

The policemen he got to protect the house were outside the house after all.

“Who’s there?” Joe’s baritone voice asked when he got to the door.

“It’s Jackie” came the response from the other side of the door, and Joe flung the door open at once.

“Jackie, what brings you here at this time of the night? Is everything okay?” Joe asked her in quick successions.

“Yeah, I forgot my phone here when I was leaving earlier, and didn’t realize it until I needed to call my husband before going to bed” Jackie said, walking into the house.

“And why are you looking like you have seen a ghƍst Nkem? Are you alright?” Jackie asked Nkem, when she got to her sides.

“Jackie, we weren’t able to get those kids out of the house as planned” Nkem complained.

“But I thought we agreed to have you call Max, and Joe to call Farida? What happened? Did Joe change his mind?” Jackie asked, puzzled.

“No Jackie, I tried to call Farida as planned, but her phone has been switched off, and so is Max’s” Joe replied Jackie, walking back to his seat, besides his wife.

“What are we going to do now? It’s going to be a very messy situation if those kids are caught in the line of the police’s fire” Jackie thought aloud.

“Ben, isn’t there something we can do? I mean, don’t you have a means of reaching hung them?” Jackie asked.

“Unfortunately, there isn’t much we can do from here. I have checked a thousand times, to see if Mandy had been able to get a hold of them, but from what I have seen so far, she is also trying o reach her daughter” Ben said.

Jackie shook her head in resignation, see that Ben and Amarachi were still looking at him laptop, trying to see, if they could find something that could help.

The atmosphere was tense, and indeed, nobody seemed happy, but like Ben said, there wasn’t much they could do.

Jackie stayed for a few minutes and had to rush home, because it was already late in the night.

She advised Nkem to keep calling and hope that somehow, the phones would be turned on again.

A few minutes after Jackie left Nkem’s house, mama began to complain of headache and before long, she was losing consciousness.

“Mama! Mama!! Mama!!!” Nkem screàmed in panic,as they all rushed to Mama’s sides.

“Help me Ben, please help me take her to the car, quickly Amarachi, get the car key for me! Nkem, please do not make any sudden moves” Joe screàmed, getting everyone running and acting quickly.

Mama continued to slip in and out of consciousness, and by the time they arrived the hospital, she was totally unconscious.

The nurses rushed out to receive Mama, as soon as they reached the hospital, and she was soon lying in the hospital ward, with a nurse taking her vitals.

A doctor walked into the ward while the nurse was still taking Mama’s vitals and began to examine her.

Some minutes later, some injections had been administered, and an infusion fluid was running, when the doctor asked Joe to come with him to his office.

The others stayed back in the ward with mama, as Joe walked out with the doctor.

Nkem was doing her best to remain calm, but deep down, she had a feeling that something serious was wrong with mama.

The doctor told Joe that mama was reacting to the effects of the concussions she had on her head, resulting from the attack she had the last time, they brought her to the hospital.

“You know Joe, because of her age, it’s going to take a long while before she fully recovers from the effect of that experience.

“For now, we’re going to watch her closely and see how we can keep managing her until she fully recovers.

“She is stable right now, and she will be fit to be discharged to go home by tomorrow morning.

“But you may also need to try to keep her from exerting so much pressure on herself. Keep her from worrying so much, and help her remain as happy as she can be” the doctor told Joe.

“Thank you doctor. I’m so happy to know that whatever happened to her today that made her suddenly fall unconscious, isn’t life threatĂȘning.

“I’ll do as you say, and ensure she doesn’t have to face much pressure and stress. Thank you so much” Joe told the doctor, and walked back to the ward, to join the others.

He informed everyone that Mama was not in dangĂȘr, and told them details of what the doctor said.

They were all glad that mama wasn’t in dangĂȘr, but everyone eventually had to pass the night in the hospital, with Joe and his wife staying with mama in her private ward, and Amarachi returning to Ben’s office with him.

Ben had take his annual leave, some days after the Mandy saga began, to enable him concentrate on getting the job he had done, but he decided to stick around the hospital, since he knew that Amarachi would never agree to leave the hospital, when her mother was still there.

And so, while they stayed busy, attending to mama, Mandy was facing an unprecedented situation in her house.

All along, she had been so sure that she’d be able to get her daughter out of Max’s house before the hit, but not only had Farida switched off her phone, Max was also unreachable.

She tried to contact Stone, to inform him that her daughter was not to be harmed no matter what, but Stone didn’t take her call.

She had exhausted every means possible, to get help for her daughter, but none came through.

Mandy was still trying to think of what to do, when Stone barged into her apartment, letting himself in, after he had destroyed the lock on her door.

“How did you get in here?” Mandy asked him, surprised to see him in her house, at that time of the night, and when he was meant to be on a mission.

“The question you should ask is, have you found out already?

“You’re surprised? Oh I can see that you really took me for a complete idiĂČt.

“How dare you play with my intelligence woman? You think Stone just got the name Stone for nothing?” he asked her, breathing down on her face.

“Calm down Stone, please calm down. I have been facing a lot of pressure lately, and because of that boy, my daughter refused to give me the papers of that property.

“Believe me Stone, I planned to get you the real papers as soon as the mission is accomplished, because when the boy diùs, my daughter will have no option than to return to me, then I can get the papers from her” Mandy said, speaking rather too quickly.

“You have just a few seconds to redeem your life. And what that means is, if you’re not quick enough to go inside and get that daughter of yours to give me the dĂŁmn papers now, you’ll be cold deĂ„d soon” Stone said, grimacing.

“That’s the problem Stone. My daughter ran away from home, and is now living with the boy I asked you to eliminate. She isn’t here, neither is the paper” Mandy said, trying to see how to save herself.

“Then it’s a pity Mandy, your daughter is already stone cold now, if she’s the company my boys told me Max has” he told her.

“You better not be telling me this! I asked you to kĂŻll a boy, not a girl. And if you have truly kĂŻlled my daughter, then you shouldn’t be talking about any paper, because we’re both going to face the law.

“Yes Stone, I won’t allow you go free for kïlling my daughter, my only source and hope of wealth” Mandy told him, suddenly going màd.

“You gave me a job, and I delivered in my own way. You’re to pay for it, and you tried to defraud me.

“So, you’ll give me what I want now, or I’ll make you beg for deãth” Stone told her, approaching her menacingly.

He hit her hard on her head, and Mandy fell with a thud to the ground, losing consciousness instantly

When she regained consciousness, she found gĂšnital fluids all over her body, an indication that he had abused her, while she was unconscious, plus, she was now tied to a chair in her sitting room.

“Mandy, I sent my boys, all my boys on that mission because I wanted to be sure everything worked out perfectly. I had plans to sell off that property immediately and relocate with my boys, so I put in my all.

“The other boys were to work as backup for Sparrow and Dark Angel, just to ensure that everything worked out, and you made a fƍƍl of me this way?

“Then, you dare threàten me with the law? Sorry Mandy, but one of the things I don’t leave behind is a witness, and you have shown that you’re no longer a client, but a lousy witness.

”I’m going to kïll you for sure, but if you give me those papers now, I’ll make it a quick and less painful one for you. But if you keep lying about not having the papers, then I’ll make you beg for deãth he told her.

“Believe me Stone, I don’t have the papers” she said, and her words had barely left her mouth, when Stone went behind her, and got her mouth gagged, before he walked into her kitchen.

Mandy looked in fear as he approached her with the different kinds of knives he returned with.

“Are you giving me the papers?” Stone asked her again and she was making gestures that Stone interpreted to mean a negative response.

He stepped back in ĂŁnger, and when he got close to her again, the knife in his right hand, stabbed straight into her left knee, piercing through her knee cap, and got Mandy howling helplessly, yet with only a muffled sound, because her mouth had been securely gagged

đŸ‘«đŸ’ž The Other Woman Episode Thirty Six:

After Farida and Max left her mother’s house, they returned to Max’s house, and had been trying to get back to being cool again.

Max was feeling very guilty, and complained about how he had done a sacrilegious thing with mother and daughter, but Farida kept encouraging him, reminding him that she and her mother created the beĂŁst that arose from within him.

“Farida, you and your mother did very hĂŽrrible things to people, but no matter what you have done, no matter the offence of a woman, assĂ„ulting you two the way I did is inexcusable” Max said.

“You are right. But if we fail to come together again, if we fail to return to the original plan of having our together forever, because of what has happened, is it going to change the fact that it happened?

“And, if you keep beĂ ting yourself up for doing what you did, will that make you feel any better? Will staying away from me, and you first fruit make you feel moble again?

“We have both done so wrong, and need to come back together, to see how we can right some wrongs, like making the people we have made believe that we are vĂ lians, understand that we had only gone astray, but we still have some good in us” Farida told him

Farida spoke for a long time that night, making him see that they have both done each other wrong, and the only way she could feel okay again, was if they could get back together, and ensure that they raised their child, in a way that would keep it from derailing from the good way of life.

Max was super happy that he could get back with the only girl he has ever loved, and that their child would be born in his house.

They knew Mandy would never approve of their marriage, so they decided to get her father to bless their union, and get their marriage registered after their traditional marriage.

Max agreed with Farida’s plans of going together to apologize to Nkem, mama and Joe.
But since Joe was supposedly out of town, they agreed it would be okay for them to start with Mama and Nkem.

Meanwhile, Mandy was at home, waiting for Stone to give her a call, to tell her the plans for the night.

She had been told that the boy would die that night, but she called eariler, to be sure it was going to be that night before she made her move.

Stone didn’t take her calls, so she hoped he’d return the call, when he sees her missed calls.

While she waited for his call, she called her daughter, to see how she can make her leave Max’s house.

She knew her daughter would be strong headed about leaving Max, so she came up with an idea, about luring her out of the place, with some excuse about her father creating a nuisĂ nce in her house.

Farida’s phone began to ring, and she looked at Max in shock, wondering why her mother was calling her.

She was well aware that her mother was making plans to kïll Max, but she also knew that her mother didn’t have a dime to finance the evïl, she was planning, so one of the things she did when she was moving in with Max, was securely keeping the documents of the property, her mother wanted her to sell for the mission.

So she had long dismissed the fear of her mother being able to pull any strings. “What could she be calling me for?” She thought, and picked up the call.

“How can I help you?” She said roughly, the moment she answered the call.

    “Farida, your father
” Mandy began, and Farida cut her short.

“Do whatever you want to do with him, I have no business with what you think about that man” Farida said, and hung up.

Mandy called her again, but she refused to take the call.

“What is wrong with this sùnseless child?” Mandy complained as she continued to call her, after having her decline her call, for the thirteenth time.

Then, she thought of sending a message, but it was too late. Farida had switched off her phone, and also done same to Max’s.

“His phone is also switched off” Nkem said in a panic stricken voice, as she tried to call Max again.

Ben had told them about the details of the information he got from the restaurant he had gone to, with Amarachi, and from what they now knew, Farida and her baby, were in as much danger as Max.

The deàdly àssasins Mandy contracted to eliminate Max, had made it clear that no witnesses was allowed to walk away, so they planned to have Joe call Farida and make her come to Nkem’s house , to see mama, since he was away.

Nkem was to call Max, and ask him over to her house, for a deal, but neither Farida nor Max was reachable.

The house was suddenly thrown into pandemonium, as Nkem, Ben and Amarachi, who had thought they had everything all set for the night, began to run around for the last minute save.

Joe had briefed the assÄult team, that was meant to engage the crßminals on what to do, judging from the information, he had, so, they all knew the tactical team, were going to invade the crime area, with the assumption that the Intruders would be the only people in the premises.

“What are we going to do now? How do we make amendments to the formation the team must have taken now?” Joe asked nobody in particular, looking unhappy.

“Someone has to visit Farida and Max, to warn them of the impending dangĂȘr, but who will bell the cat now?” Amarachi asked

“That area is a dangĂȘr zone right now, and none of you is allowed to imagine playing the hero. I agreed to allow you do whatever you thought needed to be done to save them, but, you won’t go out there to risk your life, and that of my unborn child” Joe said, looking at his wife, who was also so panicky, you’d imagine it was her own life that was in dangĂȘr.

Ben took a peep at Mandy’s house, and he could see that she was also in a very worried state.

“Why is she pacing to and fro? Could she be anxiously waiting for the hitmùn to give her a successful report, or worried for the welfare of her child?” Amarachi asked Ben.

“I would think she is worried about her child. See this place there, she was trying to contact Farida, and she had been wailing about her not taking her calls” been pointed out, zooming in on a part of the footage, where she was frantically calling and complaining.

Joe picked up his phone, and dialed the officer in charge of the operation’s phone number.

“There’s a new development officer, the target of the assàssination may still be inside the house” Joe said, hurriedly into his phone’s mouth piece.

“I’m sorry Joe, there isn’t much we can do now. The team is already in a formation, and the assailant are already within the perimeter.

“We can only try to look out for them, once we gain entry into the house, and hope they haven’t already fallen by stray bullets.

“But Joe, any attempts to make any adjustments to the formation I’m working with, will be tantamount to the failure of the operation.

“And you know what that means. That man, Stone, is a deàdly àssasin, leading a squad of horrific maràuders, that have eluded us for so long.

“My orders are to get them at all cost, and if it’s going to come at the cost of their target tonight, I’m sorry, but it’s a sacrifice we have to make for the larger good of the society” the officer said quickly, and hung up.

“Joe?” His wife asked, looking at him with tears already running down her face.

“We tried darling, but I guess, some things are destined to be the way they have to be!

“You heard the officer now. We can only hope that they survive the gĂ»n duel between the team, and the höodlums. There’s nothing else left to do, but to hope” Joe said, waving his hand, resignedly.

“Oh no! This is just not okay with me! It’s just not fine at all. That child inside Farida is innocent, and shouldn’t dĂŻe this way” Nkem cried.

Joe was consoling her and Ben was also still trying to remind her that she did her best, when they heard a knock on the main door.

They looked at each other, wondering, who could be at the door, when they were all inside.

“Are you expecting anyone?” Amarachi asked Nkem, who was staring at Joe in fear, and she shook her head to affirm that she wasn’t expecting anyone

đŸ‘«đŸ’ž The Other Woman Episode Thirty Five:

“Where does this boy live?” Joe asked between clenched teeth, succumbing to his wife’s pressure, and doing exactly what she wanted.

Nkem smiled happily, and gave out all the information she had on Max, then Joe and Ben went to work.

Amarachi was very happy to see that Ben and his brother were already getting along so well, she could tell that it wasn’t going to be a big deal to get her brother to accept him, when he finally proposes to marry her.

“But wait a minute, why hasn’t Ben made any move all these while to show any form of commitment towards me?

“Could he truly not be interested in me, or is it just because of the pressure of this Mandy’s trĂČuble and how it can affect his job and life?” Amarachi thought, frowning unhappily as she sat there, listening to Ben and her brother talk.

She made an excuse to go into her room after mama had also gone into her room to rest, because she suddenly became very moody, when she thought of how he hadn’t made any move to even as much as ask her properly,to be his girlfriend.

When Ben finished his planning with Joe, he went up to her room to ask her out, on a date he had been planning and replanning for so long, but a look at her, and he could tell that something was wrong with her.

“Amarachi, are you okay?” He asked, and she said she was feeling unwell.

“I was hoping you and I could go somewhere today, you know, sit out for a while and talk about one or two things.

“Why do you suddenly feel unwell on a day like this?” Ben asked her, looking sad.

Amarachi couldn’t believe what she was hearing.

“Ben wants to take me out on a date?” she thought, a smile crawling up on her face, and her heart warming up instantly.

She told him about how she was only feeling unwell because she was worried about certain things, and how she’d love nothing else but to go on the date with him, jumping up IMMEDIATELY, to get prepared.

They walked out of the house, and chose to drive out in Amarachi’s car, because Ben didn’t want anyone telling where he was, until he had been able to face the menĂ ce called Mandy.

They sat in a fancy restaurant, talking and smiling over a generous lunch, but both of them had their thoughts and worries.

Ben was worried about how Amarachi would react, if he tried to push beyond the friendship they now had.

He had always known that she liked him a great deal, but with him having had the entanglement he had with Mandy, he wasn’t so sure that things could be cool between them again.

And while he was thinking about how things could turn out if he asked Amarachi to allow them take their relationship to an intimate note, she was thinking about what she’d do, if they ended that date without as much as a sign that he’d ever want her.

“Amara, do you still recall the first time we spoke? I was supervising a punishment the math teacher gave members of your class, and I saw how unable you were to serve the punishment, because you were already sweating so bãdly” he asked her, choosing to take her down to memory lane, to see her reaction to memories of how she had once been all over him, and understand, her current mindset.

“Yeah, like hĂȘll, I do! You pulled me out from the others and asked me to squat beside you, rather than remain among my classmates, who were frog jumping” Amarachi replied, smiling sheepishly.

She went on to tell him about how she had looked for him everywhere after that day, to tell him she loved him, and how beaten she was, when he told her, she was too young to know what love was all about

“I guess I was too young then to know what love is, and probably grew too old to be loved, when I finally found you, after so many years again.

“It just goes to tell how unfortunate one can be when he or she falls in love with someone who’s not interested in him or her” Amarachi said tersely, before she lifted a glass of juice to her lips again.

“And I’d say, you’re wrong my dear. See, I may not exactly be a man with many fancy words, but I know I fell helplessly in love with you, the moment I set my eyes on you, in that field, where you served the punishment with your classmates.

“I fought so hard to keep my feeling under check, because of your age, and had to fight more, when you told me you love me.

“It wasn’t very easy to fight you off, to take your hands off me, each time you tried to hold me, when all I wanted then, was to hug and kiss you, with every fiber of my being.

“But I had to keep you off, I had to run away from you, because I was afraid of leading you on, making you fall deeper in love with me, when you were yet to know what exactly you want in a man.

“I didn’t want to spoil your chances of being with the man that’ll be suitable for you, just because you stepped into a wrong relationship when you were barely able to tell what an ideal man should look like” Ben said, recounting how difficult it had been for him, to stay away from her when she was way too young for a relationship.

Then he told her about how he had been so distraught, when they lost contact, and he couldn’t reach her again.

“And for some reasons, I had to find you on the very day I fell victĂźm of a crafty woman, after so many years of being unable to have anything to do with any woman, making me so afraid to ask you to be mine, because I keep wondering if you won’t judge me too harshly to give me a chance, ever again.

“But Amarachi, how would I know if you would say yes, if I don’t ask? How can I tell if you will give me a chance to be your man, if I don’t try?

“Would you be my girlfriend Amara? Will you let us be together, for as long as it takes us to decide to take it to another level?” been asked Amarachi, making her nearly choke on the drink she had in her mouth.

“You know I love you Ben. And yes, I will be your girlfriend, because I have been waiting since forever, to have you ask me” she told him, tears of joy, rolling down her face, as he gave her a big hug.

They were still celebrating their eventual coming together, laughing happily, and looking into each other’s eyes, to show their deep rooted love, when a burly dude, walked into the section of the restaurant they were sitting, with two other boys.

They sat really close to them, and must have imagined that they were too consumed with their live talks to notice them, or they just didn’t care that the were there, because they began to discuss about a job the burly man, had for them, in low tones.

“I don’t know why you are double checking us again boss. We have been your foremost gunmùn, and never have we failed in a mission before.

“We have his address, and all the details we need. We have been monitoring him for some days now, and we already know his regular itinerary, so it won’t be a big deal to decide when to hit” one of the boys said.

“Yes boss, Sparrow is right! There isn’t a single mission we have failed before. In the last mission where Sparrow and I had to take off a bride and the groom, Sparrow was meant to take off the bride, while I focused on the groom.

“We did our bit as quickly and easily as we had planned, but there were witnesses, and we didn’t need anyone to tell us that it is against your modus operandi to leave any witnesses.

“Sparrow and I wiped them all out boss! We delivered clean, just like we have always done!” Dark Angel said proudly.

Stone agreed with them, hut gave them extra instructions, telling them when and how to enter the house, practically laying out the steps of the operation.

They were talking in whispers, but Ben who had the habit of wearing a special device that made him get amplified sounds, whenever he was in a public place, was able to hear them loud and clear.

He continued to act busy with Amarachi, while he listened to the guys make final plans for the night.

The boys left after their boss concluded his briefing, and asked them to go get ready for the night.

He sat back and ordered for a fat meal, after a girl he invited joined him on the table.

Ben smiled to himself, as he heard the man asking the girl to eat whatever she wanted because he was celebrating the success of a project.

He left the restaurant with Amarachi much later, completely equipped with all the information he needed to be the hero for the night.

đŸ‘«đŸ’ž The Other Woman Episode Thirty Four:

“The boy diùs tonight!” Mandy re-echoed as she sat in the sitting room, looking very pleased with herself.

She was super happy that she had been able to save herself from Stone’s wrath, that would have fallen on her, if she had failed to raise the money he asked her to raise before the end of the day.

Farida had gone with Max, provoking her so badly, but she knew she wouldn’t for any reason allow her to fall with Max, unfortunately, she knew she wasn’t in position to tell Stone how to carry out his operation.

“I have to do something to save that stĆ«pid girl, if not for anything, to ensure that I don’t remain on the ground. I can’t afford to begin to live like a beggar again, now that I don’t have anything to my name again!

“When Max is gone, the distraction would be gone, and I know she’d come back to being my obedient daughter, and then I can get what I want done, done.

“Joe is my only hope of recovering all that I have lost since all these trouble began, and I won’t be able to lay my hands on anything if I allow that good for nothing girl die like she wants to..

“The only person who’ll be dyïng next is that Ben. He has so much in his hands, and if left unchecked, he may be my undoing.

“And since I was able to fƍƍl Stone with that forged document, then I’ll be able to get another one doctored for the charges to get Ben taken off, once and for all” Mandy soliloquized as she shook her crossed legs in her sitting room.

Meanwhile, in Nkem’s house, they were gathered like a team again, to analyze the events and to plan on the next step to take, as regards Mandy’s plans to take Max off.

Joe agreed with the plans to get the police involved and get Stone and his boys reined in, but he wanted it done, in a way that would let them have the chance to do what they wanted to do before they arrived.

”Ah honey, that’s too much! No matter what they have done, they’re but victims of Mandy’s manipulations as well, and whatever it is, I think they’re too young for the weight of the evïl that’s about to hit them” Nkem told her husband.

“They’re no victims my love. They both chose to do what they did because they are who they are.

“Do you know all the pains and anguish they caused us? Or have you so suddenly forgotten? Do you know how terribly they both allowed themselves to be agents of destrĂ»ction to our marriage?

“Just imagine what would have happened, if God hadn’t been merciful enough to help us overcome all their antics and games” Joe said, looking very àngry.

“God’s mercies, right? This is what I’m saying honey. We were only able to overcome because God refused to allow us fall totally and not because we’re both so clean, and innocent in all that led up to this stage.

“Pease let this mercy also save them and keep them from getting the capital punishment.

“We all know that if those Ă ssasins get there this night, even Farida, won’t be safe. I agree that Max really did so much, allowing Mandy to use him frame me up so bĂŁdly that you didn’t see anyway around making excuses for me, and had to accept that I was pregnant for him, but what if Farida?

“Fine, she played along with her mother, and got me out of our home, playing different tricks and games, but I can’t forget how she kept weeping on the day we made her begin this wrong journey!

“And honey, no matter how bad Farida and Max has been, the little child growing in her, is innocent.

“Plus, I would never forgive myself, if I have to keep recalling that I had a chance to save the two people I had asked to do me a favour, and failed to help them.

“And this is a big deal because, when I asked for their help, when I asked them to help me, I knew what I wanted them to do was meant to cost them a partial separation, a major sacrifice, but they agreed, only for things to keep turning against them.

“With Mandy, the sĂšrpent continuously bringing new twists to her ĂȘvĂŻl plot, I really can’t blame those kids completely. Please don’t make me have to watch this happen to them, honey, it means a great deal to me” Nkem said.

“Nkem! Nkemdilim!” mama called her fondly, looking at her with so much adoration, before she spoke again.

“I don’t know how you were made my daughter, but I know if we all were made with half the clay of kindness with which you were molded, this life would have been so easy to live, and the earth would have been nothing short of a paradise” mama said, praising Nkem, wholeheartedly, and unconsciously recalling the days she treated Nkem with cîntempt, in rēgrets

“Brother, your wife is right. Things are about to go wrong, and if that happens, we will not be able to reverse the effect, after the ugly incident.

“Please forgive them, and let them be saved, just like the mercy of God saved mama, you and your wife” Amarachi said, making Ben to nod in agreement.

“I don’t know why you all don’t understand me. I didn’t say I was going to kïll them myself.

“I’m only going to watch them destroy themselves, and look the other way, while they clash, because I think they deserve what they’re a going to get.

“Amarachi, you think my wife is right, when she’s saying those two bràts are victüms of circumstances after they willfully did all that they did to ruin me.

“They’re quite lucky that I am patient enough to watch them do what they’re doing to themselves, but I won’t be God over them.

“God saved me, they should wait for Him to save them, because it won’t be me playing God for them” Joe said resolutely.

“Honey! Aren’t you being too hard? God saved us, but He used men!

“He made Jackie stay besides me, through thick and thin, first taking me to the doctor that gave me the supplements I took before I took in, then she stood firmly besides me, when you chased me out of the house
” She was still saying, when her husband cut in.

“And I’ve apologized to you my love. I have shown you how sorry I am for going the wrong path with so much speed, and I’ll spend the rest of my days showing you how sorry I am” Joe said, his voice beginning to soften.

“I know right, but I was just saying that God helped us this much, because He placed people like Ben, Amarachi, Jackie and lately, your mother in positions to help us. Just like He gas now placed us to help those two.

“I don’t know how else to tell you this Joe, but if we can’t help these people, and have them remain alive to atone for their süns, and possibly change for the better, then I was partial, to have forgiven you” Nkem said, getting her husband, exactly where she wanted.

đŸ‘«đŸ’ž The Other Woman Episode Thirty THREE:

Mandy watched in total dismay as Farida and Max walked out of her house, and a thousand and one thoughts came to her heart, about what she needed to do, and how swiftly she needed to do it, to save her head.

“Is this girl truly my daughter? How could I have given birth to a girl so stupĂźd and irrational she doesn’t know that she may fall under the weight of my wrath when it visits the one she has chosen to side with?

“What am I going to do now? I had already told Stone that I’ll bring him the money for the mission before the end of today because he was getting impatient about the delay of sending the money, when he had already rolled out some actions to execute the plans.

“How do I now raise the money, when this good for nothing daughter of mine, has chosen to pitch tent with the pöverty stricken and hopeless boy she calls a lover?” Mandy thought, looking as frĂčstrated as she truly is.

She began to make calls, to contact those she thought would be able to help her.

The first person, being Ben, whom she decided to get some money off, whether he was willing or not.

She had planned to make a video of herself and Ben making love the day she invited Ben to her house, and hoped to use the clip as a blĂ ckmailing chip to get money from him, whenever she was in need.

And also secure herself from possible troubles later, if he ever chose to become opposed to her decisions and desires for his body.

When she looked at the recordings he got from the secret camera she kept, Mandy kept weeping, because, rather than have a bargaining chip, she was having a condemning clip.

In the video, Ben was shown, when he entered the house, and sat where she wanted him to sit, to be able to get a clear video of him.

She watched up to the point where she had brought the drinks, and returned to bring the juice Ben requested for.

The clip showed Ben getting up to take a look at the drinks, but unfortunately, he had his back to Mandy’s unprofessionally placed camera, so she couldn’t really tell what he did with the drinks.

Max entered at some point, and Mandy had to turn off the video because it was too embarrĂ ssing to watch herself clinging shĂ melessly to Max, literally begging him to make love to her.

She turned the video off, but not before she had seen Max throwing her legs in different directions, hĂ»mping away like they were in a pĂČrn movie set.

Mandy had pondered about the fact that the clip max sent to her was having a very different angle from the one she got recorded herself.

“Max couldn’t have taken his blàckmailing clip from my recordings, because they’re way different.

”How then, did he get that video? Could he have come prepared to make a video?

“But how could he have known that I would be the way he met me, to have made him equip himself to make a video of us?” she thought, feeling so frustràted that she couldn’t place her hand on how things turned out the way it did.

But that afternoon, when she decided to call Ben, to ask him for money, and to ensure that he did just what she wanted, she started her call by informing him that see had a video of him in her house, which she knew he wouldn’t want the hospital to see.

“If I confess to being the one who asked you to delete a part of the CCTV footage that showed me naked, and you went ahead to delete what they would have needed to get a criminal down, I do not think you’ll be in a very good state” she told him

“Oh! This must be a season of video clips then, because I just received a compilation of your recent activities with the young man, that walked in, the day I was in your house.

“When I saw the first video, I was imagining that he’s one of your sĂ«x tools, but seeing him get down with you and your pregnant daughter, who is supposedly Engr Joe’s wife, got me confused.

“I almost sent the video to Engr Joe, to seek for clarification, but then, I got another one, showing where your daughter, Engr Joe’s wife was accusing you of making her life a mess, having made her to do awful things.

“It shocked me to no end to hear her ask the young man to forgive her, and take her back, to enable them raise their child.

“And I was wondering how she managed to make Engr Joe, assume he was responsible for her pregnancy, when in fact, she was bearing another man’s child.

“What I do not know for sure, is why she said you were planning to àssassinate the young man with whom she left your house.

“So maybe, just maybe, when I send you the videos to you, you’d be able to give answers for most of the questions I have” Ben told her, and hung up, even before she could reply him.

Mandy was looking at her phone, with her hands shaking, imagining what was going on.

“How can everything going on in my house become so open and in public scrutiny, almost as if I live on the streets?” Mandy soliloquized.

She was still pacing to and fro, wondering why everything seemed to be falling apart, when she got the videos from Ben.

Mandy watched in fear and absolute fear, as videos of her activities for the past few days, reeled out.

Her phone began to ring again, and she hastily answered, assuming that it was Ben calling again, but when she heard Stone’s coarse voice reverberate over the phone line, she was immediately jolted back to reality.

“He he hello Stone” Mandy said with a shaky voice, quickly calculating what she could tell Stone.

“You have less than 24hoyrs to make a deposit into my account for the moves we already made, if you’re no longer interested in going on wit the deal.

“And if you’re still interested in the deal, it is expected that I get the credit alert before the day ends.

“What this means is, either I get the full payment for the deal today, or you send me the payment for the preliminary plans and actions, my boys have taken, as soon as a new day dawns, or you won’t like what comes after.

“I don’t joke with my money, and you don’t just give me an assignment, making me commit money and time to making all the necessary arrangements to get the boys down, only for you to start dilly dallying” he told her roughly.

“Erm, sorry Stone, but there’s been a little problem. The money I was hoping to get was meant to come from the sales of a property in town, but my daughter is being silly about the business.

“I don’t know if you’ll be interested in buying, or if you have someone who’ll buy it off, to enable me do what I have to do” Mandy said, and Stone’s grip on his phone tightened.

“Where is the property located?” He asked, suddenly sounding very soft and approachable.

Mandy gave the details of the property, and got Stone telling her how interested he was in acquiring the house.

They concluded the plans, and Mandy decided to play a fast one, getting Stone a forged document, since she couldn’t lay hands on the original papers.

Stone promised to give her the balance from the money, after deducting his service charge, but deep within him, he knew he wasn’t going to give her anything, because he was well aware that she had no way of fighting him for the money.

“My men have located the boy. He now has company; A girl just moved in with him. We’ll move in on him tonight, and be over with this job. He diĂšs tonight!” Stone told Mandy after the papers of the house had been delivered to him.

đŸ‘«đŸ’ž The Other Woman Episode Thirty TWO:

Max returned to Mandy’s house, just as he had promised he would, the next day, to ask for more money.

He was fast becoming a nuisance, both to himself, and to the people that created the monstĂšr he had become.

“Where is the money I asked you to get for me? I told you that I need that money this morning to take care of some important personal expenses.

“Why does it seem like you’re now taking my simplicity and liniency for granted?

“Or do you think this boring sĂ«x you two gave me last night, is enough to replace the money I asked for?

“I want money, and I’m not joking about this. If I don’t get this money before nightfall today, you won’t like the version of me that you’ll see” Max threàtened with a shout.

The mother and daughter looked at Max, then exchanges worried glances as they both thought of what they would do to save themselves from the menĂ ce now personified as Max.

Farida found her tongue first. She thought about how she had been able to always make Max do what she wanted in the past, and decided that it was a better deal to have him on her side.

She had given all that has been happening between them a critical thought all through the night, and rather than feel offended with what he did to her, she felt sorry for having contributed to making Max become as bĂŁd as he had become.

“Max, I know you’re Ă ngry, and you don’t care that I look so hĂ»rt by what you’re doing and saying because I have done things that made you turn against me this bĂŁdly, but it is still me, your Farida.

“You can’t keep being màd at me this way, treating me so bãdly, when you know I have your child growing in me.

“Please my love, we can make amends and have our lives back, forgive me for betraying our love, and give me a chance to make things up to you” Farida said.

Mandy remained quiet, not really taking to heart what Farida had said, because she was sure, Farida was only trying to play smart with Max, and so did Max.

“Do you think I’m an imbùcile Farida? You have suddenly become my Farida, without any effort to beg you again! You didn’t come back to me after all the pleas and cajoling for so long, and you’re miraculously coming back to me on your own accord, after what I did last night?

“Come on Farida, think of something else to say, because Max is no fƍƍl!” he told her, sneeringly.

“Max, I swear to you, I mean what I have just said. You have become a stranger to me, acting in a way I never imagined you could act with me, but that’s all because I slipped bãdly.

“Yes Max, I allowed my mother push me into doing so many bĂŁd things, not just against you, but also against her friend, a woman that I grew up thinking was blĆĂ”d related to my mother, because of how she cared for my siblings and I” Farida said.

“Wait a minute, have you suddenly gone màd, Farida?” her mother asked her, getting exasperated with the realization that Farida wasn’t playing games.

“No mother! I am not running mĂ d now! I’ve been stark raving mĂ d for so long. I was crĂŁzy to have allowed you lead me into this mess!

“And not just that mother, I was plain stupüd to have agreed to do all you have made me do, when in my heart of hearts, I knew I was doing the wrong thing, very wrong and terrible things.

“But not anymore mother. I lay in pains all through the night, unable to get off the floor, and finding it so hard to find sleep, because I couldn’t find peace in my heart.

“And now, whether Max takes me back or not, whether he believes that I’m sorry or not, I guess my first step towards restitution for my wrong doings is to accept them and make conscious efforts to apologize to those I have offended, and I’m starting with Max” Farida said.

“Wait! Wait!! Farida, how on earth can you be serious? Did you have to let me go so bad before you realized all that you said you realized now?

“How will things ever be okay between us when I have given you the biggest insĂ»lt a man can give a woman?

“Look, I know I am not the smartest of guys, but I know that asking a girl, whether she is your girlfriend or fiancĂ© to have a threesĂŽme with you, is the highest level of insĂ»lt to her.

“And now, not only did I insĂ»lt you that much, I made us all commit a great sacrilege, having sĂ«x with you and your mother!

“How will you ever be able to look at me and still love me like you used to do?” He asked her.

“Max, I have no moral justification to judge you for what you turned into, after what I did, and when I know that the woman I call mother, orchestrated all that is happening now, and made you turn to the monstĂšr you’re becoming

“You had sĂ«x with my mother, just like I have been having sĂšx with Joe, a man, old enough to be my father. And unlilke you, I had sĂ«x with him on different occasions, and with your child in me.

“And please Max, whether we get back or not, you have no reason to beat yourself so much because you touched my mother.

“It’s not as if you’re the first young man, young enough to be her child, to have sĂ«x with her. She really won’t see it as a big deal, when she had been opening her legs for far less reasons” Farida sad between clenched teeth.

“Farida, one more word from you now, and I’ll curse you” Mandy threàtened, shimmering with ãnger.

“Please go ahead mother, proclaim a curse, and let me see how the heavens will honour the cursĂš of a woman as dĂȘspicable as you.

“Go ahead and cursù me, and let me see how meaningful the words of a woman who has no value for the children God blessed her with can be

“So much so, she could send her young and inexperienced daughter into wàr with an innocent and kind woman, pushing her to nemùsis because of the financial gains she’s pursuing.

“Go ahead mother, and lay a curse, and see if the curse that my siblings kept laying on you, after you sent them out with my dad, just because you have found a new souce of wealth, and just didn’t want any of them standing in the way of the new life you wanted, won’t override it.

“Are you still waiting? Go ahead and curse me, and see how the blessings my siblings gave me, the day I located where my dad was able to move into, and gave them a new and befitting accommodation, before I arranged for my siblings to get admitted into good boarding schools, turn it to nothing” Farida snorted.

“So, after all I did for you, after all the sacrifices I made to ensure that you have a good life, you still have the effrontery to go behind my back, trying to act all good, in the eyes of your cursed father?” Mandy asked Farida, raising her hand in ãnger, as though to hit her.

“Hold it right there woman. You don’t hit my woman, not in my presence, and especially not when she has suffered so much already because of your grĂšed and high handedness” Max told Mandy, pushing her hand away from Farida forcefully.

“Farida, I don’t know how we’re going to ever recover from all the evil your mother has made us get ourselves involved in.

“She has ruined my plan of living in my humble background, seeking for how to better my life in the most legitimate of ways, and earn enough to have us living as comfortably as we should.

“But can I wish for a happy life now, hoping to live happily forever after with you, when her friend, whom she introduced me to, and made promise to give me so much, had to be as heavily framed up as she made me do, and is now at war with her husband?” Max cried.

“We can talk about what we must do after now, but I think it’ll be in our best interest to leave here now, and seek for how to protect you from the àssasins this woman is planning to send after you” Farida said, shocking both Mandy and Max.

đŸ‘«đŸ’ž The Other Woman Episode Thirty One:

Mandy contacted the car dealer Max sent his details, and in a few minutes, they were able to seal the deal, concluding arrangements about payments and handing over of the vehicle.

Farida was not quite happy that she was going to have to stay without a car, until Joe returned, but there wasn’t much she could do.

Later that evening, her mother came up with another story, about the blĂ ckmailer requesting for more money.

“The proceeds from the sales of the car wasn’t enough, and he insisted that I sourced for the money before the day ends.

“What are we going to do Farida? How are we going to be able to be rid of this blàckmailer?” Mandy asked her daughter.

“We? Mummy, did you just say we? How can you ask how ‘we’ are going to handle a matter you have outrightly refused to give me details about?

“To tell you the truth mum, I’m beginning to feel unsafe around you. I don’t know why I had to lose practically everything I have just to satisfy a blàckmailer that I can’t see, yet you’re still asking me questions.

“You made me transfer all the money in my account yesterday, you have sold my car, and my box of jewelries, yet you still have yours in tact!” Farida said àngrily.

“Oh! Farida has grown wings, she can now argue with me, and make comparisons.

“So Farida, someone is blàckmailing us, and you think you have paid half of what I have had to pay, because I haven’t told you what I have sacrificed?

“Do you know that I don’t have a penny to my name as we speak?

“Just so you also know that any moment from now, the car dealer that bought your car, is coming to take mine, because the blĆĂ”dy blĂ ckmailer is never satisfied?

“Don’t you dare talk to me about what you have lost because unlike me, you’ll have Joe running over himself to get you the things you need.

“We can’t keep suffering like this, having this blàckmailer breathing down our neck forever, so you’re going sacrifice.

“Sell off the property you made Joe transfer to you name and give me the money to take care of this blàckmailer once and for all“ Mandy told her daughter.

“I’m sorry mum, but I won’t do it. That property is about the only thing I have left to my name.

“I have no intention to sell it, and I won’t sell it because it’s not going to stop the blàckmailer from asking for more” Farida said.

“Oh don’t be stupüd Farida! You think I’m going to give away the last thing you have for no good result?

“I’m going to get that guy kïlled to enable us live again. The proceeds from this sales will go to the people I have contacted to do the deed” Mandy told her daughter.

“Wait a minute, are you truly going to attempt to kĂŻll someone again? Don’t tell me you’re going to make plans to mĆ«rder someone else, when we have only been so lucky to have escaped the one you pulled on Joe’s mother” Farida asked with a whisper.

“Yes Farida, I’m going to hire professionals to get this job down, because this blàckmailer has done nothing but made my life so unbearable” Mandy was saying, when she heard a bang on the door.

Farida answered the door, and found Max, looking at her in shock.

“What are you doing here, my love?” he asked Farida, before he realized what he was saying.

“I should be asking you that question Max. What are you doing in my mother’s house by this time? And who are you calling your love?” Farida asked him.

“Erm Farida, please let him in already. Enough of the questions. I asked him to come over because I have something to tell him” Mandy said in a hurry, before Max got a chance to reply her question.

Mandy served Max a bottle of drink, and asked him what he’d like to have for dinner, leaving Farida confused and disturbed.

“Since when did my mother start giving Max the presidential treatment?” she wondered as she sat, looking at Max, who chose to sit very close to her, and began to sip from the bottle he was given.

He emptied that bottle and asked for another. And when he had drunk the third bottle, he began to laugh hysterically, touching Farida’s brĂȘast as he laughed.

“What is wrong with you Max! I am someone’s wife!” she screamed at him.

“Oh keep quiet Farida. Someone’s wife with my baby in you? So Max can’t touch you again, just because you have chosen to renege on our agreement to get the money we need to live a luxury life, and now see yourself as the wife of a rich man?” he asked her, looking very offended.

“You know what Farida, I want you tonight. Yes, my body is craving for you so badly, and I’m done begging for you to return to me. You will let me make love to you tonight, or things will go wrong for all of us” Max said and got up to pull Farida with him away.

“Leave me alone. Stop this madness at once Max! Mum, why are you standing and watching this crĂ„zy guy mĂ nhandle me? What is going on with you mum?” Farida asked her mother, who only stood by the sides shedding tears.

“Oh, I just got an idea. How about we have a sĂ«x party? All three of us, have a really nice and hot night?

“I promise to make you have the blast. And don’t you keep looking at me that way you cràzy old bitch.

“I said I want the two of you at once, or I’m gonna spill it all with of the first streak of light tomorrow and ensure this nation knows you as the biggest pĂČrn star” Max threĂ tened.

“Max, you can have my daughter, she’s your woman after all. How can you suggest that you have a threesîme with my daughter and I?” Mandy asked, more tears welling up in her eyes.

“Oh, she’s suddenly my woman? The girl I loved with my all, and planned to go to any length for, that you pulled right out of my hands because of greed, and made turn against me, because not only is she your daughter, but she also shares your greedy nature, is now my woman?

“You will both do as I say this night willingly, or I’ll beat you until you do exactly what I have asked you to do” Max said, throwing Farida on the couch.

“Call the police mum. Quickly, call for help, Max has gone màd” Farida cried, as she tried to free herself from Max, who was already tearing off her clothes without a care.

“Go ahead Mandy, make any sort of noise that can attractive even a single neighbour here, let alone a police officer, and we will all be going to jail” Max said and began to kiss Farida anywhere and everywhere.

“Leave me alone, you manïac!” Farida said, kicking Max off her and made to run away.

He grabbed her and threw her angrily on the floor, and before Mandy could reach them, he had delivered almost a dozen thunderous slàps on Farida’s face.

“Max, you have gone nuts” Mandy screàmed, hurling a side stoll at him.

Max dodge it and seemed to go totally crĂŁzy. He grabbed Mandy by her hair and flung her on the sofa, and she bounced, making her fall, next to her daughter on the floor.

He beàt them so mercilessly, that one would have imagined that he’d walk out the next minute, but he was only beàting them to submission, to get them to do what he wanted.

“Massage my balls, you dĂȘspicable woman” he screamed at Mandy, who complied with immediate effect.

“Bend over me, will you? I want your bĆĂ”bs dangling over my face, while you ride” Max thundered at Farida who was crying of pĂ ins.

He didn’t give a dãmn about the winces of pains from Farida who rode him to his first orgàsms, nor did he care about Mandy’s complains of an injured knee, when he had her riding him for so long, because he had chosen to have her do the second leg of the tournament.

Max was so fulfilled, seeing the two women who had treated him with so much contempt in recent times, take turns in bĂ nging him, and being so obedient with whatever he asked them to do.

But he knew like hĂȘll that he couldn’t pass the night there.

There was no way he was going to close his eyes and sleep in a place where those scörned women were, so he got his clothes on, and left the house, asking them to prepare to host him again, soon.

Mandy and her daughter were looking like people that have been attĂŁcked by a dozen masquerades as they lay on the tiled floor, where Max had abused them.

đŸ‘«đŸ’ž The Other Woman Episode Thirty:

Amarachi had planned to return to her house two days after her mother returned from the hospital, but Ben seemed to have made her have a change of mind.

He prevailed upon her to stay back and help him work on setting himself free from Mandy’s web, and helping her brother sort things out, with a view of placing Mandy and Farida where they belonged.

So after Joe joined his wife and mother in their house, Amarachi decided to officially introduce Ben to her brother, and to tell him the much they have done so far.

“Hmm, that’s amazing Amarachi. Are you saying that we can see and hear what’s going on in Mandy’s house as we’re here now?” Joe asked in astonishment.

“Yes sir, and we can also see what goes on inside her car as well” Ben told Joe, making him very happy with the details he gave.

Joe told them what his private investigator had found, and how that he was looking for something to nail Mandy and her daughter for the crĂmes they had committed against his family.

Ben assured him that they were going to have more than enough to prosecute the mother amd daughter soon, telling him of the call Mandy had made earlier.

He switched on his laptop and began to set up the system to give them a live feed of what was going on in Mandy’s house.

The footages were munched up in a way that they could see visuals from the different parts of the house that Ben had been able to place his chips, and her car, all at once.

Joe sat between his wife and mother, while Amarachi took a seat besides Ben, as they waited to see what Mandy was up to.

They all looked like members of an organization, ready to have a zoom meeting with an important partnering organization.

On the screen, everything seemed to be normal, with Mandy talking to her daughter about something they couldn’t really hear, because she was far from the audio chip Ben placed in the sitting room.

Farida appeared to be explaining something to her, but she flared up, screàming and cûrsing.

Then, Farida brought out her phone, and began to dial a number.

Joe’s phone soon began to ring, making him look up at Ben in concern, almost like “what now?”

“From the calls she made yesterday Sir, I was able to surmise that Max is already blàckmailing her with the sùx tape he has.

“And if my guesses are anything to go by, she may be calling to ask for money.

“We know you won’t be needing to give her that money.

“Because if he is blàckmailing her, he’d still ask for more money, after this.

“And things will keep going from bad to worse. And who knows, we may not need to make any move on them.

“I can only help them from my ends here, sending each of them, what they need to have to have a fair ground for the fïght.

“Ultimately, they’ll destroy themselves and thing can now return to how it used to be around here” Ben said.

Joe nodded in agreement, but he had already missed Farida’s call.

He tried to return her call, but she was calling again.

“Hello Farida, I’m in the middle of an important meeting, and can’t talk to you now.

“Let me call you later my dear” Joe said and Farida got frantic.

“No no Joe! It’s an emergency and you have to talk to me now.

“I need money right now, and if I don’t have it, a lot can go wrong. Please call your account officer and mandate him to credit my account with a million Naira.

“This is very important and urgent my husband” Farida said, looking at her mother who was nodding in satisfaction.

“A million Naira? What do you need all that amount of money for? I gave you your weekly allowance just two days ago. What can be so money demanding that you have to get a million naira now?” Joe asked her.

“Joe, I need the money because this new car you bought for me was used as a collateral for a loan my mother took to offset some bills she incurred while I was sick, the initial time we hadn’t known that I was pregnant for you” Farida told him.

“What are you talking about Farida? When did I get you that car? And when did your mother take the loan? How could she have used a car I just bought for you as a collateral, for a loan she took, even before you came into my house?” Joe asked her

“She took the loan before we got married, but after she failed to pay up the loan, the interest on the loan began to accumulate, and the money lender insisted that she gave a collateral, and she used my car

“But what’s all questions all about for just a million Naira? Joe I’m your pregnant wife, the only one that has been able to get pregnant for you!

“Do I have to take all these questions before I am allowed to have access to my husband’s money?

“What then is the need of having a rich husband if I can’t wake up to money when I need to, or go to bed, knowing that my financial needs can be taken care if without much ado?” She screĂ med in ĂŁnger.

“It’s okay baby, calm down okay! I don’t want anything wrong happening to you or the baby, and you’re screĂ ming too loudly, I’m beginning to worry for the welfare of that child.

“You can let the money lender have the car. I’ll buy you a new one as soon as I return. I don’t have access to my account manager now, and I have limited of money with me here” Joe told her.

Farida didn’t quite like the way the call ended, but there wasn’t much she could do or say again.

She had to agree with her mother to sell off her car, and let her get her money for whatever it was that she needed to do.

The mother and daughter continued arguing and talking, and before long, they had moved close enough to Ben’s audio chip and they could hear them from Nkem’s house.

Mandy was heard telling her daughter about someone that was blĂ ckmailing her with some stuffs that could ruin them both, and how she had sold so many valuables because of that person.

“But who could that be? And how come the person has something incriminating enough to make you panic this way?

“For all I know, Max is the only person that has details about this mission and capable of ruining things for us if he chose to, but the max I know wouldn’t blãckmãil you, when he was still calling me,as at yesterday morning, to beg me to change my mind and return to him with our baby.

“So who is blàckmailing you? And what does the person have as the blàckmailing chip?” Farida was heard, asking her mother.

“Farida, you’re my daughter, and I know you don’t need to hear certain things for your own safety.

“You do not know this blàckmailer and the less you know about this problem, the better for you” Mandy replied and told her she was going out to make arrangements for the sales of the car.

She moved away from the house, and got into her car to make the call.

Mandy called Max to tell him about the unavailability of cash, and why he should accept the car instead.

“You think I’m stupüd? You want me to take the car and get labelled a thiùf when the police comes after me?

“I’ll get you connected to a car dealer and take whatever amount he offers for the car” they heard Max say over the phone that Mandy had turned the speaker on.

Ben asked Joe to help him with a car dealer’s contact, and he soon sent a message to Max.

“Contact that car dealer. Don’t let her outsmart you. Anonymous cares” his message to Max read, and as soon as Mandy walked into the house, Joe saw her answer a call, telling the caller that she’d contact the dealer.

đŸ‘«đŸ’ž The Other Woman Episode Twenty Nine:

After Joe left Nkem’s house, he sent her a message, requesting her to give him a call whenever she gets a specific type of message from him.

Then he prepared the message he’d need for the operation and saved it as a template, ready to use it as an SOS because he knew he’d need it.

When he saw Farida coming down to the sitting room, looking all mushy and sĂšxy, he had a feeling of repulsion, rather than the attraction he was expected to have for the beautiful and young body she was displaying with the scanty clothes she wore.

He found it very annoying that he was compelled to put up with Farida for much longer and thought of how to stay off her sides, until something comes up from the people he had asked to investigate her and her mother.

So when his phone began to ring, Farida paused to allow him take his call and he had to give the act his best shot.

“Hello Kola, yes, I can hear you. How’s the deal going?” he asked, speaking with an imaginary business partner.

He ensured that he didn’t pay attention to the things Nkem was saying, just continued saying what he had to say.

“I don’t want to hear it Kola! You were duly informed about how important this deal is before you travelled.

“How could you have taken such a huge risk? What am I going to do now?” Joe asked, his brows knitting in supposed ãnger.

“Is everything okay?” Farida whispered, and Joe gave her a “hold on” sign and continued speaking into his phone.

“You know what Kola, I’ll come. I have no choice after all, but you must know that I’m so angry that you’re going to make me embark on this impromptu journey, because of your own mistakes!” Joe said, and waited for some moments to make it seem like he was listening to a response.

Well, he was actually hearing a response, because Nkem was asking him if he’s okay, and asking to know if he needed help.

“I don’t need of help from you, but you better begin to make plans on how to make it up to me for making me embark on this journey.

“I have a pregnant wife at home to take care of, but you’re going to make me stay away from her for a couple of days, and you think I should be happy about that?

“And you’re not even leaving me a chance to decide to come over or not because of the state of things rught now. And I now have to be away for an unspecified number if days from my wife because of your incompetence.

“You think it’s a very pleasing thing that I have to get up now and hit the road because things will get totally destroyed if I don’t jet out in the next hour?

“Please get off my phone. I need to utilize every minute I have left now. I can’t risk what is at stake now for anything in the world” he said, and hung up, looking àngry.

Farida looked up at him, worried because she could tell that he was in such a hurry to run off, and from the way he was sounding, she didn’t know how she was going to be able to ask him to give her the money her mother had told her to get from him.

Her mother told her that an emergency came up and she needed to get something done to ensure they weren’t give away.

“Farida, I have to run now. There is an emergency and if I don’t leave now, a lot will go wrong” Joe said, hurrying into his room to prepare to leave.

She got up and followed Joe into the room, asking him what was going on and if she could go with him.

“You can’t go with me Farida. I have something very important to attend to, and if you’re with me, I’ll be too worried about your welfare to be able to concentrate on what I have to do.

“You’ll go to your mother’s and stay with her for the meantime. When I’m back from my trip, I’ll come over to her house to bring you home” Joe told Farida as he hurriedly got a bag packed.

His phone began to ring again, this time, not because he sent Nkem any SOS, but because Nkem was trying to know what was truly going on.

“I’ll be with you shortly. Please hold on and keep things ready before I arrive” Joe told her and hung up.

“I’m sorry baby, I won’t be able to able to wait for you to get ready to leave before I take off.

“I’ve got to hurry up and meet up with Kola. I’ll call you all the way, and ensure that you don’t miss me so much” he told her giving her a peck before he ran off, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand as he moved out of the house.

He had to book a ride to take him to Nkem’s house, because he knew he couldn’t let his car be parked outside Nkem’s house, when he claimed to be out of town.

His ride arrived very timely, and he gave Farida a hug before he boarded the cab and headed out.

Nkem was pleasantly surprised to hear the details of what he had done to be able to run away from Farida and have time to be with her and his mother.

“Since when did you become an actor Joe? I could have sworn that you won’t be able to make someone unable to tell when you’re Ă ngry.

“How you evolved to being so dramatic, and able to pull these stunts, zero I can’t help but marvel at” Nkem told her husband, smiling.

“I don’t know how long it’s going to take before the mother and daughter are brought to book, but I know I won’t be able to keep staying with that woman while my wife and child miss me at this crucial time” Joe told his wife.

Meanwhile, Farida had arrived her mother’s house and told her about what was going on.

“Joe had to travel because something came up, and his attention is urgently needed, and he asked me to be with you for the time being” Farida told her mother who seemed so lost and preoccupied with something she couldn’t understand.

“Mum, did you hear me? Are you alright?” Farida asked her mother, sitting besides her.

“I’m fine, really, I am. Just preoccupied with a few personal thoughts.

“Were you able to get the money I asked you to get from him? Something else even came up this morning, and I have to ensure that I get the money needed now!” Mandy told her daughter, looking so distraught.

She had asked her daughter to get her some money the day before, because she wanted to hire someone to kĂŻll Max who was becoming a bone in her neck, but that morning in, Max sent her a very shocking video, and asked her to pay him a certain amount of money, or he’d be sending the video to all the social media channels.

Mandy couldn’t tell how Max was able to get a video recording of their sexuĂ l escapade, something that had happened without her proper understanding of what led to what.

She could understand that Max had a spiked drink and that made him all silly and clingy, but what about her?

“Why was I so in need of a man all of a sudden? I am pretty sure I didn’t make any mistakes with the drinks.

“How come I got so hƍrny all of a sudden that I couldn’t control my desire to be with a man, and allowed that dĂȘspicable little boy bĂ ng me, the much he did.

“What will I do, if he let’s Farida see that video? How can I explain to her that I was under the influence of something I can’t explain that made me virtually tear him apart, as I gnawed at him to make love to me?” Mandy thought as she sat, looking at her daughter.

đŸ‘«đŸ’ž The Other Woman Episode Twenty Eight:

Joe walked into the house, pushing past Jackie as if he had just seen an enĂšmy.

His mother looked up and wondered what was going on with him as he approached her.

He greeted his mother and totally ignored Nkem who was looking at him almost in the same way mama was looking at him.

“Mama, I have brought these police officers to stay with you here. Some of them will be outside the house, and these two will be here inside the house to watch over you.

“I am not comfortable with the arrangement of leaving you entirely in her mercy, because I don’t want to sit at home being worried sück about your welfare.

“And mama, I don’t want to have to always rush down here because I’m worried about you, giving me reasons to always set my eyes on this woman” Joe told his mother, pointing at Nkem, in the most annoying way.

“What is going on Joe?” mama asked him, truly worried about how serious he looked, and how happy Farida looked as she stood besides him, while he stated the reason for coming to Nkem’s house in that manner.

“Mama, what is happening is that I don’t want you to stay here alone with this woman.

“But Amarachi thinks it’s the best thing to do, so I got these people to protect you, to give me time to be with my pregnant wife.

“The last time I was here to see you, you told me a lot of things, and it made me realize that I need to protect you.

“The Revelations from that last visit, made me see how careless I have been, and made me know that I have but only one wife.

“You may not know it, but I have only one pregnant wife, and I’m going to make sure you two are safe.

“So I brought these men to be with you, to enable me concentrate at home” Joe said.

And mama heaved a sigh of relief at once, catching the drift that Joe was playing along with the plans

Joe told the police officers what they must do, and spend a little more time, talking with his mother, before he walked out of the house with Farida, who didn’t as much say a word of greeting to Mama.

“What was that about? Why did he bring Farida here, and you two seem so cool with it?” Jackie whispered softly to her friend.

“Maybe you should see this” Nkem said handing her phone to Jackie with a smile.

“On a scale of 10, rate my act!” read the message Joe sent her, as soon as he stepped out of the house.

“So much for your worries about his ability to keep the act and prevent Farida and her mother from finding out about what he now knows” Jackie said, laughing happily.

Amarachi and Ben, who had been eavesdropping from the lobby, walked into the sitting room, after they heard the police truck drive away, and Jackie, laughing as happily as she was laughing.

The all sat in the sitting room, with the two police men stepping out of the sitting room, as soon as the truck left, to take position, at the different corners of the house.

Before Joe arrived in the police station with Farida, he had already concluded arrangements with the police chief on what he needed them to do for him.

His demands were simple. “Make provision for well trained police officers to protect my wife and mother, while you investigate the nîtorious mother had daughter.

“We just need to find the evidences of their crímes to be able to put them away, so, we protect the people that matter to me, while we look for these evidences” he had told the police boss, and ensured that he made adequate financial motivation available, to get them to carry out his request to the letter.

When he finished his discussions with his lawyer, they agreed to get a private detective to investigate Mandy and Farida.

And the reports he got that day, made him swing into action immediately.

Mandy had told someone about how worried she was with the turn of events, talking in great worries, about how Joe now had reasons to always go to Nkem’s house, and how the possibility of them making up their differences and getting to understand what she’s been doing to them made her have sleepless nights.

From what the private detective gathered, Mandy may likely pull a fast one on either Nkem, or mama, to forestall the manifestation of her worries.

So Joe had to act fast. He had made provisions to ensure that Mandy was soon apprehended and indicted for her crimes, but he wanted to be sure that Farida wasn’t also let out of it.

He wanted to kïll the two birds with a stone, but wasn’t ready to accept the suggestion of using Nkem as a bait, as the detective had suggested.

The detective told Joe that they could come up with a plan, to lure Mandy and Farida out and get the evidences of attempted mĆ«rder against them, but Joe didn’t want to hear of it.

He didn’t care how much protection he promised they could get for Nkem, he just didn’t want it!

“What happens to me, if in the process of the fracas, something happens to either the baby or my wife?

“Sorry, but no! I won’t do that. The best bet is to get her police protection in the mean time, while we work on an alternative plan” Joe told the detective.

Getting Farida to believe that he was still worried about his mother’s welfare in Nkem’s house, was as easy as ABC.

Farida was so thrilled to hear about Joe not wanting to have to always go to Nkem’s house to see his mother and have to see her face again and again.

She called her mother to give her the good news, but she didn’t take her calls, so she just went ahead to accompany Joe to the police station, because he had insisted that she accompanied him, to make Nkem know that they were never going to be together again.

When Farida returned home later that day, she recalled that she had been unable to get across to her mother earlier.

“It’s quite unlike my mother not to take my calls, and to think that it has been over three hours since I called her, and she didn’t even bother to return my calls” Farida complained as she got a change of clothes in her room.

Joe returned to the sitting room, and was watching a movie when Farida joined him.

She was wearing one of those sĂšxy clothes, and sat close to him, trying to nonverbally ask him to make love to her.

Since they returned from the hospital saga, Joe hadn’t touched her, and she was beginning to worry.

On the few occasions she tried to get his attention, he had claimed to be very busy, and even said he was on a fasting program because of his mother’s health.

He looked at Farida as she approached, and couldn’t tell how he was going to avoid her that evening.

His supposed fasting should have ended a day before, so he wasn’t actually supposed to stay away from her, or she’d begin to suspect that something was truly wrong.

He sent an automated message to a particular number with a few clicks, as he watched her approach him, and a few minutes after Farida sat down besides him, his phone began to ring.

đŸ‘«đŸ’ž The Other Woman Episode Twenty Seven:

Nkem, Mama and Jackie exchanged worried glances as the police siren continued to draw nearer, until the truck pulled up in front of their gate.

“Relax Nkem, you don’t need the kind of stress you’re exerting on yourself.

“You have absolutely no reason to be afraid of a police siren, you haven’t committed any críme.

“And no matter what Mandy plans, no matter how ĂȘvĂŻl she is, she can’t do anything to you right now” Jackie tried to make Nkem relax.

“I know right, but I’m just worried about what that roguù could be up to.

“What if she tries to get me arrested and have me face the kind of stress that can affect my pregnancy?” Nkem asked.

“You worry too much Nkem. There’s no way on earth she’d be able to do that. Who is she anyways? And on what grounds can she pull that off?

“You think I’ll sit and watch her try to harm you? Nkem, I allowed her do the much she’s doing now because I’m worried about how an outright confrontation may affect you and my son.

“You think I feel so good having to watch her still live in affluence, living off my son, when she should be facing the music for all she and her ĂȘvĂŻl child did to me?

“Nkem, those manĂŻacs beat me so mercilessly, hitting my head with so much impunity and calloĂ»sness, and I’ll never forget it!

“If she dares as much as show her face here, then I’m going to make her understand that I have faced so many storms, fought so many battles to keep Joe alive” mama said, becoming truly angry that Nkem was getting so ruffled because of someone that should be scurrying at the sound of her name.

Ben and Amarachi had since walked away from the sitting room because Ben wanted to take a look at something to be sure it wasn’t Mandy that was trying to be smart.

He knew she may have realized that he swapped the drink she gave him, and so, he had to be double sure she wasn’t the one trying to act on impulse.

When Ben went over to Mandy’s house, he was already aware that Mandy had got something she wanted to use on him, so he was extra careful.

Plus, he had Amarachi acting the Chloe O’Brien for Jack Bauer of CTU for him, so he was able to get directions on what to do and how to move around.

Mandy had welcomed him with a hug, and ushered him into her house.

She told him about how she had been going through so much since ethe incident at the hospital when someone tried to frame her up.

“I thought as much. At some point, I was almost confused, wondering how someone could have made such a silly move in our hospital, in the very same room you asked me to delete it’s feed, almost at the same time you asked me to delete the videos.

“And I was almost tempted to believe that there could be more to the video you asked me to delete, and that you may have been trying to hide something.

“But now that I think of it, how could you have planned to hurt a woman, who though isn’t blood related to you, you call your mother?

“How would you plan to hurt a woman that you see as family, you asked me to place a prayer item on her, by all means?” Ben said, sitting with his legs crossed on a couch.

“I’m afraid Ben. You may understand me, but there are a thousand and one people out there who may not understand that I asked you to do the things you did, because I was looking out for that old woman.

“But Ben, all that can wait. I want to have a drink with you while we talk about a new project I wish to have you oversee for me.

“I want to open a big sales outlet, where I’ll sell computer accessories. I’m looking at investing about 5million, and I think you be be a trustworthy partner.

“So here’s what I’m offering. You run the business, I finance it, and we split the profits. What do you say?” She, smiling charmingly at him.

“Wow! Isn’t that amazing? This means so much to me ma’am” he began.

“Oh quit with the ma’am shìt. You’re making me feel so distant and old with all the ma’am nƍnsense.

“We’re going to be business partners soon after all. You should call me Mandy” she told him.

“Erm, I’m going to need some time to get used to that ma’am, sorry Mandy” Ben said intentionally.

“You naĂ»ghty boy” Mandy said, laughing heartedly and excused herself to get drinks for them.

And just as they had expected, the moment she got into the kitchen, she began to mix the glass of drink with the substance.

She looked at the glasses and seemed to decide to add the Ă phrodisiac in a large quantity to the drink she was going to offer Ben.

She made one glass of drink much more than the other, to enable her identify the one with the stuff and walked quickly to the sitting room.

When she hugged Ben back then, one of his cameras had been placed on her, so Amarachi could see all she was doing, and was able to relay everything to Ben.

So as she dropped the drink, Ben had already been told that the full glass of wine was safe, while the half glass was having nothing but nearly a pound weight of the substance she mixed with it.

“Here you go!” Mandy said excitedly, placing the tray of drinks on the table.

“Oh, this is nice. But I’m worried about this type of drink anyway. I haven’t had red wine before. Can you give me a glass of juice instead?” Ben asked.

“Of course, you’re my guest, Ben I can let you have whatever you want.” She told him, thanking her stars that she left some of the stuffs in the kitchen.

She quickly made a mix of the juice with the Ă phrodisiac and returned to the sitting room, happy to find him still sitting where she left him.

What she didn’t know was that Ben had turned half of the spike free wine into the fully spiked one, and waited for her to return with the one she had gone to mix.

“Here is your juice Ben. I don’t know how a full grown man like you would be afraid of red wine anyways” Mandy said, sitting opposite Ben.

“I could try a sip or two, but I can see that you have prepared a full glass here, and that made me kinda panic” Ben said, smiling at her.

“Okay, how about I let you have the half filled glass and take the full glass? She asked, preferring to have him drink the one with more concentration of the substance than the juice she had just brought.

In the end, Mandy happily offered Ben the half filled glass, and gulped her full glass in a swing.

Ben was still sipping his drink slowly, and Mandy was waiting for the stuff to start taking effect on him, when she heard a rough bang on her door.

The door opened almost immediately, and Max sauntered into the sitting room, looking at Mandy disdaĂźnfully.

“Oh, I can see that you’re partying hàrd. Isn’t it so lovely that you’re enjoying your super rich status now and ignoring me?” Max asked, walking over and picked up glass of juice.

“Put that down. I didn’t keep that drink for you Max!” Mandy warned, getting up àngrily to snatch the drink from Max, but he emptied the glass into his mouth at once, and began to laugh at Mandy.

“Why can’t I drink it? You think I shouldn’t share from your loöts when we all made this happen?” He sniggered at her.

“Max, please leave now, you’re embàrrassing my guest” Mandy said, and Ben had to take his cue from there.

“I think I have to go now. I have something important to attend to , so we can talk about this business some other time” Ben said and ran out of the house, knowing that the two dĂȘspicable people, would soon begin to feel the effect of the stuffs in them.

He walked outside the house and ran out of the compound, finding his way as quickly as possible to his car.

Ben had barely sat down, when he began to see what he knew was going to happen, begin to happen.

Mandy and Max were tearing their clothes off, and before he could adjust the display equipment to enable him also watch what was going on, Mandy was already screaming under Max, while he rode her like a manĂŻac.

Ben double checked to be sure that the footages was getting recorded and nodded in satisfaction as he saw that everything relayed so far was on auto record.

By the time the drove towards Nkem’s house, they were already having a full sĂ«x tape, and Ben was already having crĂ„zy ideas of what they could do with the tapes.

Somewhere along the line though, Ben and Amarachi got talking about themselves, and how things should have been different between them.

Amarachi told Ben how bĂ d she had always felt, knowing that he never allowed them a chance to be together.

Ben pulled over somewhere and wanted to explain certain things to Amarachi, but their conversation was disrupted by what they heard next.

Mandy was making a call, and she was asking someone to help her find someone who would kĂŻll Max for her.

The news hit Ben and Amarachi with a shock, and they abandoned their small love talks and raced to Nkem’s house.

But with the police siren blaring outside Nkem’s house, the two friends rushed inside the room Amarachi now occupied to look up what Mandy was up to.

From their devices, they could see that Mandy was at home, so they were still wondering who was pulling up with the police when they heard a knock on the main door.

Jackie refused to allow Nkem answer the door, instead, she answered by herself, only to find Joe standing in front of the door with Farida by his sides, and the fierce looking police officers, behind them.

Joe was wearing an angry frown, and Farida had a fulfilled expression on her face as Joe walked inside the house with the police officers.

đŸ‘«đŸ’ž The Other Woman Episode Twenty SIX:

Ben showed Amarachi how to get feeds from the cameras he was about to install in Mandy’s house, and what she needed to do, if she felt he was in danger at any point

He drove her to a safe place and took a cab to Mandy’s house, to enable Amarachi stay in the car and watch out for him.

They argued about how risky it was if Mandy found out what he was doing, with Amarachi being so afraid that something bĂŁd could happen to him, but Ben assured her it wasn’t young to be so easy to attĂ ck him in her house.
    I
“She is most probably hƍrny again, and thinks she could have me once more. And I’m guessing the substance she just put in her pocket us another form of Ă phrodisiac.

“”So you just have to watch out, let me know where she puts this substance, and when she makes the mive.

“All you have to do is talk into this object here. It is connected to my earbuds, so I’ll hear you loud and clear. I’ll have to act along with her for a while, until I’m able to get the things I need everywhere” he told her before he set out to visit Mandy.

Back in the house, Jackie had come to visit Nkem and Mama, and they were talking about the recent happenings and how God had saved them all from Mandy’s hands.

Then Nkem told them about her worries and how she feared that Joe may not be able to keep things in, and for so long.

“Nkem, this is why I suggested that we used that boy. It’s a good thing that we didn’t have to get him to confess to his crímes before Joe found out the truth

“But we can make him take Farida away from Joe’s house.

“The initial plan like you told me was that the girl gets pregnant and birth a child for you and your husband, you settle her handsomely, enough to help both of them start their life elsewhere.

“And you didn’t know that she was already pregnant for Max. My guess is, the pƍor guy may not have been told before he agreed to that plan.

“Or he was made some promises that aren’t forthcoming, because from all indications, he loved Farida too much to have planned to have Farida stay permanently with Joe, or have her give his child to Joe.

“So, I think we can come in from that angle. Let him know that he has been used, and see if he’d fïght to get his woman back

“And if that happens, if he begins to pressure her into returning to him, you and I know that Farida will be torn between pleasing her mother, and pleasing herself.

“My guess is, she’ll grab the much money she can, and run away with her lover, and that will solve half of our troubles.

“And even if she chooses to try to stay with Joe, she won’t be having the pleasant stay she’s having that is giving them both, the time to plot and plan” Jackie suggested.

“You are right my dear. I know that boy will soon be a bone in their neck because on that day that they descended on me, like I told you Nkem, he was talking about not wanting his first child growing under another man’s name.

“And that shãmeless Mandy was screàming at him for daring to mention the child as his, when she had already made concrete arrangements with him.

“Something tells me the boy isn’t pleased with the way Mandy is treating him, and he’s sooner or later going to revîlt” mama said.

“Then, we need to make our move now. It’s time we made him see the reasons to revölt.

“Nkem, you were with them when all the plans were made, and you all agreed on the terms of this arrangement.

“You are in a very good position to let this young man see how far he had been made to derail from the original plans, and how he is losing everything in the end” Jackie suggested.

“It’s a good idea Jackie, but I think it’s best to allow them do their own things.

“I feel that inciting Max against them, is playing in their own terms, and tilting towards their own kind of lifestyle.

“It’s a good thing that Joe and I are now back together. I may have to endure, having to stay low whenever he speaks with Farida, hide behind the shadows like the other woman in their marriage, but it will be only for a while.

“I’ll just have to ensure that Joe understands what’s at stake, and is ready to work with me, waiting for them to fall in their own pit, unaided” Nkem said.

Mama was almost crying as she listened to her daughter in-law. She kept recalling how terribly she had treated Nkem because of her childlessness, something that she hadn’t chosen for herself!

And when she looked at Nkem’s way of handling matters, she couldn’t help but regret acting the way she did with her back then.

“Nkem, you know, every time I listen to you talk, every time I see you act in your natural state, I can’t keep myself from regretting treating you the way I did, for something that wasn’t your doing, or choice!”

“I can’t forget that even after I made my husband’s kinsmen officially marry Martha, and brought her to your house you still called me Mama, and treated me like your own Mother.

“Even after I made life hĂȘll for you, mocking you every minute of the day, and ensuring that Martha didn’t let you have a minute rest in your matrimonial home, you never stopped being the Nkem that my son brought home that day.

“You never really fought back, or made me feel the effects of my wrong doings, neither did you make Martha get rewarded for her actions.

“You are one of a kind Nkem, and I’m sure your pure heart made God bless you at this crucial point with the fruit of the womb.

“Yes Nkem, I also believe that your desire to still have me around, to have me understand things that I hitherto didn’t know, is why God made you appear when you did, and why He chose to spare my life.

“I know that if I keep apologizing everyday of my life, it won’t still be enough to atone for my sins, but I hope that somehow, you’d forgive me for the sake of the indescribable love you have for my son” mama said, getting quite emotional.

“Ah mama, I’ve told you before! There’s no grudge in this heart of mine against you.

“I know you did things in the extreme, but you wanted what all mothers would want; a grandchild from their only son! Jackie made sure I saw things in the right person time!

“And mama, I believe God allows certain things to happen for some reasons. Yes, He is the all wise God.

“If these things hadn’t happened, how would I have known for real, who Mandy is to me?

“And if I didn’t face all that I faced, I wouldn’t have seen how valuable and how extra loving Jackie is to me.

“Mama, no matter how much I have been through in the hands of Mandy and her daughter now, it can’t be compared to what they could have been capable of doing to me, behind the shadows.

“What if I got blessed with a wolf in sheep’s clothing still around me, and she found a way to hurt this child, when I wasn’t looking?

“Do you think my life would have remained the same if she succeeded in hurting this special miracle God has given me because I didn’t know she’s nothing but an unfriendly friend?

“In everything Mama, I give God thanks, and in this case, I have so many reasons to thank God” Nkem said, holding Mama’s hand as he spoke.

Jackie wiped a tear from her eye as she watched Nkem and her mother in-law demonstrate their love and forgiveness.

“You know Nkem, I never really got to ask about Martha. What happened with her?” Jackie asked.

Mama let out a throaty laughter before she responded.

“Martha made me know the stuff she was made of, just a few days after Nkem left the house.

“She told me she was going to leave the house because Farida and Joe had given her an ultimatum to vacate the premises, and when I tried to convince her to stay, she laughed me to scorn.

“Mama, you must really think that there’s something special about this son of yours, for me to have to remain here, wasting away, while he switches from one woman to another, when neither of these women is me!

“Farida is pregnant for him, and has managed to grab his attention away from Nkem the special woman.

“Think about it, if she could chase Nkem away, and she had said she doesn’t want me in the house, what’s the aim of hanging around like a spare part when Joe has offered me something good to help me start my life elsewhere?

“Yes Mama, Joe asked me to choose between a million Naira, and staying around without getting any form of attention, and mama, as you are seeing me now, I have that one million Naira, sitting in my account’ she told me” mama said

Mama told them that when tried to express her disappointment, Martha was quick to let her know that she was only there for the money after all, and since she could get the little she could, she was better off going her way.

Amarachi and Ben entered the house while the three women were still talking, and after the usual exchange of pleasantries, Amarachi was in a hurry to tell them what they had found out.

“Mandy is planning to kïll someone tomorrow. She is planning to kïll
” Amarachi was still saying when they heard a police siren blast so loudly, it appeared to be approaching the house

đŸ‘«đŸ’ž The Other Woman Episode Twenty Five:

Amarachi was preparing to go out as mama and Nkem sat over a meal, talking about how they worried for Joe’s safety. She had an appointment with Ben.

“I just hope Joe doesn’t get too emotional, he gives himself away. He’s always too temperamental, and I doubt he’ll be able to manage his emotions” mama said worriedly.

“That’s my worry too mama. Joe has never known how to pretend, and it worries me sück what will happen if Mandy and Farida finds out that he already knows everything” Nkem complained.

“Oh please! You two can rest already! How sùnseless do you think my brother is?

“He knows what’s at stake and he knows that it won’t be just about him, but both of you will be at risk if Mandy knows the truth.

“You think he won’t learn to be able to do what he has to do, when he knows what he stands to lose with just a slip?” Amarachi asked them, putting on her shoes.

“But when will all these end? When will Mandy and her daughter be shown the way to where they deserve to be?” Mama asked, her brows knitted.

“Relax mama, we’re moving in on them very soon. I’m going out now to meet my friend Ben, and from all indications, things will soon be okay.

“We’ll soon have evidences of their crímes and they’ll be where they deserve to be” Amarachi assured them.

Her phone rang almost immediately, and it was Ben, calling her to tell her that he was outside their house.

“Mama, I’ll be back soon. Please take care of sister Nkem” Amarachi said before she bounced out of the house.

She got into Ben’s car and they drove towards a fancy restaurant where they sat to a decent mea, both trying not to venture into the topic they’re both yearning to talk about.

Instead, while they ate, Ben began to talk about the things he has found out and the plans he was making.

“I have put some stuff in Mandy’s house, and I was only able to reach her because I was able to convince her that after I placed what’s she she asked me to place on Mama’s face, I left the place immediately to avoid any suspiciĂŽn

“I systematically told her that I didn’t have the chance to bring out the prayer item from the paper wrap that it came with, to prevent the nurses from noticing that I was doing something there.

“And this woman humphed in frustràtion. She told me I didn’t allow the potency of the prayer item out” Ben told Amarachi.

“Hmmm, that’s to say she still believes that you’re ignorant of her crafty scheming right?” Amarachi asked Ben.

“She is, and that’s why she allowed me get so close that I was able to plant the bugs that are now in her car.

“If I tune in now, we’ll be able to monitor what’s going on inside her car” Ben told Amarachi.

“Like now? Are you saying you can listen to whatever she’s saying inside that car now?” Amarachi asked Ben.

“Better than that baby! We can get both audio and visual signals from the different kind of bugs I placed inside her car.

“Let me show you” he told her, pulling out his laptop, clicking quickly on some part, and boom, the interiors of Mandy’s car was in full glare.

And just as if she was waiting for them to get their apparatus for viewing the car ready before she came in, Mandy opened the car and sat inside with a frustrĂ ted yelp.

“What is wrong with this Max anyways? Who is he to decide when I come out to see him and when I don’t?” they heard Mandy complain as she sat in the car, searching for something in her phone.

“What is she talking about?” Amarachi asked, wondering who Max was, and why Mandy seemed to be agitated about him.

“Hello Farida, you see what I told you about that silly and poor church rat you said you loved, can you see how problematic he is becoming?

“Do you now agree with me that it was a stupüd thing for you to have told him you were pregnant before you moved into Joe’s house?

“First, he came to your husband’s house, touching and kissing you at will, and had the effrontery to argue with me about my complaints of his recklessness, until that old wĂŻtch that has refused to diĂ«, heard it all!

“We were only able to escape that problem he created because miraculously, even if the wĂŻtch refused to diĂ« from the beating we gave her, she now had partial Ă mnesia and can’t remember anything, then I had to sleep with the CCTV guy, to get things erased

“And now, he wants to be the one who calls the shot! He won’t let me have a moment of rest with calls, asking me to meet him up here or there.

“The idiĂČt is daily becoming unbearable, and I may be forced to do something about him now!” they heard Mandy say into her phone receiver, and Amarachi had her hand over her mouth.

    “This woman is
” Amarachi was saying, when they saw Mandy pull out some substances from her pigeonhole.

She tucked it into her trouser pocket, and straightened her clothes before she stepped out of the car.

“Now what? How can we tell what she’s up to now?” Amarachi asked worriedly.

“Relax my dear, whatever it is now, she believes that she had been able to fool everyone with what happened to your mother, and she’s more concerned about the Max guy.

“And as it stands now, it’s safe to conclude that Max is the one responsible for Farida’s baby, and he had visited your brother’s house.

“Something Mandy didn’t want, but couldn’t stop. The dude was reckless around Farida, and your mother saw things she wasn’t supposed to see.

“They attacked the woman to keep her from saying those things, and when she didn’t diĂ«, she came to the hospital to finish her off.

“Again, she failed with the ventilator stunt, and she recruited me, and you know the rest of the story.

“So right now, I’m certain she wouldn’t be paying you guys attention.

“Chances are, she’d be pouncing on the Max guy, the one she now says is unbearable” Ben analyzed.

“I wish you have also placed the bĂ»gs in her house too. It would have enabled us see what’s happening there” Amarachi said, fidgeting at the thought of the woman hatching a hidĂšous plan inside her house

“It’s not going to be a problem. I don’t want to be the one who pushes to get invited to her house to avoid suspicion

“I know that sooner than later, she’ll invite me over, because as it stands now, she thinks I’ve become a sĂ«x toy” Ben said, looking down in shame.

“And that’s another aspect of it! How are you going to be able to get things done without having to let that woman crawl all over you?” Amarachi asked, pouting.

“Come on! You don’t have to look so sad Amara, you think if she hadn’t used the dãmn àphrodisiac she used earlier, that I would have fancied anything about her?

“When she invites me, we’ll work out a way around it. Because believe me Amara, we need to get those eyes and ears in her house” Ben was still saying when his phone began to ring.

And yes, it was Mandy calling him to know where he was.

“Okay, can you please come over to Platinums Hotel? I’ve been missing you so badly, an I don’t know if you’d be able to come around in the next couple of minutes” she asked him.

“Of course I can, but after what happened in the hospital with the footages, I’ve been under watch, and I know it.

“So, I’m trying all I can not to be seen around with any of the parties accused of making attempts on the old woman’s life.

“If anyone sees us together, they may begin to imagine that there was something else in the footage you made me delete, when Infact you have only been trying to play safe” he told her.

“Yeah, I understand, so it’d be safer if we met in my house right? That way, you know how to find your way in and out without getting noticed
okay, I’m waiting for you” she concluded and hung up

Thank you for choosing Siri as your online beautiful sweet story reading partner. Today we have “The Other Woman Episode 24 Of The Other Woman Stories Or Novels To Read with Siri.”

đŸ‘«đŸ’ž The Other Woman Episode Twenty Four:

Joe got out of the house and drove straight to his lawyer’s chambers to make enquiries about what he could do, as regards his marriage to Farida.

He recalled that Mandy had insisted that they got a court marriage and he had done just whatever Mandy wanted because he was carried away by the fact that Farida was gong to give him a child after waiting for so long.

His lawyer spent time to explain certain things to him, and in the face of the fact that his marriage with Farida was actually a bigamy, seeing that he wedded Nkem in a registered Church, he needed to find a careful solution around it, to avoid shooting himself in the foot.

“You see Engr. Joe, a lot of people assume that when you wed a woman in church, that the law isn’t strict about that marriage, when it’s actually same as getting a registry marriage, otherwise called court marriage.

    “Section 21 of the Nigerian Marriage Act states that;
“Marriage may be celebrated in any licensed place of worship by any recognized minister of the church, denomination or body to which such place of worship belongs, and according to the rites or usages of marriage observed in such church, denomination or body:
Proviso as to times and witnesses

“Provided that the marriage be celebrated with open doors between the hours of eight o’clock in the forenoon and six o’clock in the afternoon, and in the presence of two or more witnesses besides the officiating minister” the lawyer told Joe

“Do you mind speaking English? Because you have only succeeded in confusing me more.

“What I need now is light out of my confusion, and not more confusions” Joe told the lawyer, squirming uncomfortably on his seat.

“Okay, let’s go this way. What the above means is that Church Marriages are marriages that are to be celebrated in a church properly licensed under the Marriage Act and by a priest or Pastor or whoever is authorized to perform such Act and in accordance with the rites of marriage recognized in that church, denomination or body.

“Now, you must note that Statutory Marriage (Court Marriage) can also be and is celebrated in churches and such marriage celebration has the same effect as the one celebrated in the registry by the registrar.

“The condition being that the church in which such marriage is conducted is a licensed place of worship and the person conducting the marriage is an authorized minister of the church.

“Some churches are licensed by the government to celebrate marriages after following certain procedures and once those procedures are followed, marriages can be celebrated in the church” the lawyer said.

“Barrister, I hope you can recall that I haven’t come here to ask for guidelines on how to get married, I’m asking about how to get divorced!” Joe shouted àngrily

“I know right, but I am also aware that you wedded Nkem in Living Faith Church, a recognized and licensed church, so it is imperative that you understand where I’m driving at.

“So, like I was saying, upon complete celebration of the marriage, license theurch will issue the couple a marriage certificate which is the same as the one that is issued by the registry.

“The marriage celebrated in the above mentioned way is also a valid Statutory Marriage and has the same legal implication as one celebrated in the Registry.

“So you’re not really in a very enjoyable and enviable situation right now, because your marriage to Farida is a ‘crimĂš, if I can put it that way.

“It’s bigamy, and capable of giving one, five years behind the bars. Nkem your wife knows this, but she chose not to make a move on you when you contracted that marriage with Farida, and even after things began to turn sour between you two.

“But the question you should ask now is, how does Bigamy affect the Bigamist’s spouse?

“In the event that a second marriage is bigamous, that marriage is invalid. No one needs to do anything further to end the marriage, but the illegitimacy of the marriage results in the spouse losing all rights within that relationship.

“So technically, Farida has no rights within your marriage relationship but she may not know it now.

“But here’s where the problem lies. If she finds out the effect of this bigamy on you, are you sure she’d be able to look away like Nkem?

“I doubt! I would think that Farida and her mother will likely want to have you incàrcerated for five years!

“And that brings me to what I said in the beginning about not shooting yourself in the feet” the lawyer told Joe who humphed loudly.

“So what am I going to do now? I can’t keep living with a girl who not only tried to make me lose my wife and my child, but also brought in another man’s pregnancy into my house.

“That girl and her mother nearly killed my mother! They even went as far as messing with the ventilator in the hospital, and if my wife hadn’t arrived the instant she did, my mother would be deĂ„d now” Joe said.

“Then, why aren’t we prosecuting them for the criminĂ l offĂšnce?” the layer asked him

“Because she already messed with the CCTV footages, the evidence of her críme” Joe said, and gave the lawyer a complete rundown of what he had learnt that day.

“As it stands now Engr. Joe, your wife’s advise to keep acting like you do not have any suspicion at all will be the most rewarding, pending when we can lay hands on substantial evidences to prosecute the mother and daughter.

“I’ll make some calls and get back to you soon. But please, by all means, watch out for your safety too” the lawyer told Joe before he headed out.

Joe detoured to a shopping mall and got some extravagant gifts for Farida on his way home.

“Welcome darling! How is mama? Has she remembered anything yet?” Farida asked almost agitatedly.

“Mama is very okay. She seems not to want to remember, and I kind of prefer it that way.

“I hĂŁte for her to recall that we were having issues before the rĂČbbers attĂŁcked her.

“So I’m kind of happy that she’s not willing to recall. Meanwhile, how have you been?” he asked her, kissing her cheek lovingly.

Mandy smiled happily where she sat and asked of Nkem.

“She’s there, trying to act like she’s cool with my mother, when I know she’s so pĂ ined that she won’t be able to hĂ»rt the pƍor woman.

“Its no surprise that she didn’t even make a move to talk with me, she must have been so uncomfortable, having me around, when her boyfriend could appear any moment” Joe said with a frown.

“It’s okay Joe. You can forget about that woman. You have a wife and child here to worry about” Mandy said concernedly, then giggled triumphantly, giving her daughter a high five, as soon as possible walked into his room.
