A day later my dad arrived the town and moved straight to where we were staying, ” Oh my goodness, my top musician has changed a lot. He voice out and gave me a hugged.

Grace and Favour were there with me and few others ( we were preparing to sing together with Grace)

Everyone there was surprised, how can we have looked so much alike like that.

I introduced Grace to my dad and they exchange greetings, since my dad just arrived there we decided to continue our practice the next day.

Grace went and told her mom that she saw my dad and the Surprising thing is that, my dad and I are looking so much alike, she have never seen such before.

Her Mom was in a situation where by she didn’t even know what to do, she wants to see my dad just once because she offended him so much that she ruined his career as a musician.

“Is alright, I said leaving for the bathroom.

I stood up and left Favour so sadly as she was looking at me.
I went to the bathroom and had my bath and came back.
Favour was waiting for me in the sittingroom.

After I was done, Favour took me back to the hospital where my dad and grandma where waiting as promised.

The next day my dad was discharged from the hospital and we went back home together happily, Favour payed for everything.

Since we finally went back home, my dad told me not to worry about my eyes operation, since he was able to rised money for my operation back then, he will be able to do so again.

But I sadly told my dad not to worry about me anymore, I have become a man and I don’t need any operation again.( I don’t want my dad to go through what he did again) he was my everything.

Favour didn’t just become my friend, she became a part of my family, sometimes she will drive me around having fun and enjoying ourselves, she will buy me different things to eat.

I was recognized to me a good singer just like my dad in the neighborhood, and Favour normally enjoy my music.

One evening Favour invite me to a birthday party in town ( I was Born and raised in the countryside and for that reason I have never been to the city before) it’s a birthday party and Favour want me to sing at the party.

Well, I also want to go into the City, but in response to her questions, I told her that, I will be going if only she will promise never to leave me alone myself.

Favour promised she won’t ever leave me by myself.

I told my dad about it, but my dad was strongly against the idea of me going into town, he won’t ever allow me to go into town. He said.

I grew up believing that my mom died while giving birth to me, I even pitied the fact that she went through so much because of me. until one day I got insulted by a guy in the neighborhood, who told me that my mom abandoned me because I was a curse child.

I was so heart broken but pretended to be okay, I know how much my dad has suffered enough taking care of me, I couldn’t ask him about my mom.

Maybe she really abandoned us and that is why my dad don’t want to talk about it.
That evening after my dad left home for work (to the night club where he was singing) I meet my old grandma ( the woman who helped my dad take care of me since I was a baby)

“Grandma, did my mom really abandoned me because I was a curse child? I asked sadly.

“Who told you that my child? She asked Surprisedly.
” There is no Child who deserves to be called a curse child simply because he cannot see.”

” Why then did my mom abandoned me?”

My old grandma couldn’t avoid the questions that night, so she told me the truth, ” yes my child, your mom is not dead and it’s true that your mom abandoned you”.

“Your mom broke a family record and ran away with your dad who was struggling with his career, your dad didn’t want to run away because he got some hope where he was working.

But your mom made him leave everything and ran away with her, but things didn’t work out for them as your father couldn’t get a job. Yet they managed to stay together, but the day your mom gave birth to you and then realized that you couldn’t see.

She blames everything on your father, that he is curse and his curse has ruined her life, so your mom left and went back to her family.

My old grandma told me the story of how my dad and my mom met and how they fall in love to the extent they ran away and later gave birth to me.

On hearing everything, I found myself crying so badly, so, my dad has gone through just a lot to take care of me. He has sacrifice just a lot to take care of me.

That same night my dad came back from the club and found me sitting outside alone, he gave me some chicken he bought and sat down just next to me with his hands on my shoulder.

“Dad, I called.
” Can I ask you a question?

My dad was surprised, I never asked him before asking.

“What’s it my dear, do you want something? He asked.

” No….
“Dad, why did you not sent me to the Orphanage or abandoned me just like my mom did?

On hearing that, my dad couldn’t voice out a word, but I feel he was crying in Surprised.

” How will I leave this future behind and go on by myself? He said.

You are not just my child, you are my future and my life as well, how can I possibly abandoned you my dear beloved. He hugged me while trying to hide his tears.

” It’s okay Dad, together we are going far far away where they neither are blind nor deaf.

” Yeah, I know my son, I have been saving just enough because someone told me that, it’s possible for you to be able to see.

So, I promise to make sure that you can see as well okay?
