While Susan, Ashton,David and Stella stayed at the waiting room for Fiona heart transplant.
Stephanie and Brenda, Bianca’s mom went to the cafeteria to go get something to eat for everyone.
When Ashton had decided to marry Sandy, Stephanie knew that she had to find a way to stop him.
Not because she pitied him but because she realise that she will regret it if she lets the man she love slip out of her life.
It took Sandy’s demand for her to accept that she’s in love with Ashton which is why she decided to look for Brenda.
They found her at her orphanage church and told her about her daughter’s death and also about Fiona’s need of a new heart.
Stephanie didn’t expect her to agree but she did and it was then they came up with a plot to fool Sandy and Bobby.
Which turn out successful since the two really believed that Ashton was really going to marry Sandy which is all a lie.
“Now that we are alone, I’d really like to thank you for everything. If you didn’t give your consent for the transplant, Fiona will still be on wait list which might go on forever” Stephanie said as they walk into the hospital cafeteria.
“I should be the one apologizing to you for everything I have done. I know that I married your father for the money but you didn’t deserve my cruelty towards you. Maybe it’s because of all the bad deeds I did against you and your father that I lost my child” Brenda said softly.
“It’s not your fault that Bianca died” Stephanie said trying to calm her.
“It is my fault. I should have been there for her, I shouldn’t I have left her alone… Due to my fear, the person will killed her is out at large” Brenda said softly.
“So you are saying Bianca was poison intentionally?” Stephanie ask and Brenda turn away from her, keeping shut.
Stephanie got a call at that moment and after answering, she told Brenda they had to go back.
“But why?”
“Bobby is here with the police. He insist that we took Bianca’s corpse without him giving his consent” Stephanie explain as they got into the elevator.
It whisk them back upstairs and when they got to the waiting room, Bobby was making a scene.
“Her mother gave us consent! You can’t just barge in here causing a scene” Ashton yell at him.
“That’s a lie. I don’t believe you. They took her without my permission, you need to arrest them!” Bobby said to the cops.
“Ashton is right. I gave them my consent” Brenda said, walking towards them.
“Why? Why will you do that to my dear Bianca. Shouldn’t you leave her body intact, why did you let this people persuade you!” Bobby yell at her.
“Don’t act you ever love her! You never did Bobby” Brenda yell at him.
“If I didn’t love her then would I have married her. Do something police officers! Don’t just stand there and let them ruin my wife’s body. Arrest them all”
“The one who should be arrested here is you! You killed my daughter, didn’t you?” Brenda threw at him.
“Why the hell will I kill my wife?”,
“Cause she was getting in your way! I heard you that night, Bianca was talking to me on the phone when you came in telling her about the poison you put in her food earlier. You told her that you wanted her gone and that it’s the only way for you to get to be with Stephanie! You murdered my child in cold blood!” Brenda yell at him.
“I didn’t! I didn’t do it!”,
“Do you have a proof of what you are saying ma’am” the police in charge ask.
“I do. I recorded our voice call since Bianca left the call on. Listen to it” Brenda said handing the phone to the police and he turn on the record, listening to every cruel thing Bobby said.
“I didn’t do it! I didn’t kill her!” Bobby kept saying.
“I’m sorry but you will have to come with us to the station ” the police man said, handcuffing Bobby.
“If you knew why didn’t you say a thing?” The police ask Brenda while his men took Bobby away.
“I was scared. I thought he was going to come for me too and so I ran away. That was cowardly for me as a mother. I keep regretting my action till date” Brenda said, crying her eyes out.
“We will get to the bottom of it” the police said, leaving the waiting room while Stephanie and Susan tried to comfort Brenda.
<< WEEKS LATER ~ SUSAN APARTMENT>>
“Finally my mom is gone. We can put an end to the pretence, thanks for everything” David said to a sad looking Stella.
“I should be the one thanking you cause not only have I been staying here for free, you also treated me well while we pretended to be in a fake relationship” Stella let out softly.
“I had to treat you well since we had to convince my mom” David said.
“That’s right” Stella agreed, a sad look crossing her face.
She turn to leave only to turn to him again.
“I know it might seem out of line with what am about to say but I never faked my feelings for you during the charade” Stella confess.
“You…what?”
“I said that every feeling I showed you during our fake relationship is real. I like you David. I’m not expecting you to like me back or anything, I just felt that I had to tell you the truth, I will be leaving today and so, I’d like it if you forget what I said to you just now. Think of it as a fan girl confessing her love to you” Stella said and went upstairs not giving David the chance to speak.
David was still trying to comprehend what she said when Stella return with her suitcase.
“Are you leaving?” David ask.
“Yes. Since the fake relationship thing is done and I’m sure that your stalker fans would have long forgotten about me, It’s time I leave. Thanks for everything David, I do mean it” Stella said heading for the door.
She got out of the house and was lifting up her suitcase to carry it down the stairs when David took hold of her hand.
“You’ve caught me by surprise with your confession but I’d be lying if I say that I love you too but what I know is that if I don’t stop you now then I’m going to regret it for the rest of my life” He said, wrapping his arms around her.
“If you will give me the chance, I promise to do my best to show you how good we will be together that’s only if you agree?” David ask lightly.
“I do! I do! I do! I do!” Stella said, hugging him.
They both let go to stare at each other, love brimming in their eyes and slowly, they kiss.
<< EVENING ~ RESTAURANT>>
“Why exactly are we here? I thought you said we were going to take a look at your wedding dress?” Susan ask Stephanie as the waiter brought their order.
“The wedding dress can wait. I know you’ve been heartbroken this past few weeks. Stanley told Ashton and I about your breakup” Stephanie said.
“It’s not exactly a break up since we weren’t dating In the first place. He has a fiancee and he dared lied to me that he loves me”
“Being occupied by Fiona’s recovery hasn’t stop me from noticing things. Have you seen Stanley recently?”
“Ever since the day I threaten to call the cops on him, he hasn’t shown me his face” Susan admit, remembering some weeks ago when Stanley showed up to explain.
She had been so angry and had threaten to call the cops which got him leaving the premises.
“Then you should go see him. It’s obvious by his haggard and sad looks that the guy misses you. Can’t you give him a chance?” Stephanie ask.
“I cant! His mom made things clear, she wants me to stay away from her son and that’s what I’m going to do” Susan said.
“Fine then, you leave me no choice” Stephanie said as she pick up her phone to send a message to someone.
Then she excuse herself to the rest room only for her to call Susan, asking her to meet her outside.
Susan found it odd but it didn’t stop her from going outside.
As soon as she got outside, she was surprise to see Stanley waiting outside with some people who immediately started singing one of Stephanie song which depict, forgiveness and love.
Susan stood still watching the band play the part where she love most about the song and her heart couldn’t help but to soften.
She notice Stephanie and Ashton standing amongst the crowd who had gathered to watch the scene.
When the song ended, she stared at Stanley who immediately knelt on one knee.
“I know things have been bad between us and I know that I failed to protect you when you needed me the most. I should have told you about Ashley, I should have been there to stop my mom from saying mean things to you but I wasn’t but if you give me another chance, I will forever be there for you through thick and thin. I love you Susan and I don’t ever see myself living without you, ” Stanley said softly.
“But your mom”
“Is happy to see her son being with the one he loves. I’m sorry for what I said to you that day, Stanley got really mad at me and I hated myself for what I said. I’m sorry for trying to come between you two, hope you forgive me” Stanley mother said as she walk out of the crowd towards them.
“I was never mad at you” Susan said, wiping her face.
“Then don’t be mad at Stanley too and just say yes to him. He’s been love sick ever since you refuse to see him ” his mom said making everyone laugh including Susan.
“As long as you promise to stay by my side always, then you are forgiven” Susan said, waiting for Stanley to get off the floor but instead, he pulled out a box with a ring in it making everyone gasp.
“Will you do me the honour?” Stanley ask and a happy Susan scream out a yes earning everyone congratulation.
