The house was quiet and I instantly knew something was up.

“Madam welcome” Alice, the maid came and helped me with my travelling bag. “How was the flight ma?”

“It was splendid. Take this bag” I gave her a small bag containing files from my just concluded contract. “Keep this in the library. Where are my children?”

“They left the house on Saturday but only Karen came back. They didn’t tell me where they went to, when I tried to make them stay home they beat me. I almost died”

I clenched my fist to stop myself from giving her a sounding slap. She had just one job aside keeping the house and she couldn’t even do it.

I massaged my temple with my fingers to calm my nerves. I have three teenagers, two girl and a boy, all the same age because I unfortunate enough to give birth to three children at once.

I couldn’t blame Alice anymore for being unable to keep them leaving the house. They became very rebellious after I divorced their father, they were so uncomfortable to the point I as their mother couldn’t even stand them.

Does it make me a bad mother if I say my own children irritate me. I’ve tried all I can as a mother to provide for them. I rarely stay in the house because I’m busy entering meetings upon meetings just to make them comfortable but yet they decide to be as useless as their useless father.

“Where is Karen?” I asked after I felt the anger in me subside.

“She is in her room. Do you want to eat anything?”

“Just make tea and leave it in the library. I’ll have it there”

I climbed the stairs leading to Karen’s room. The door was opened a bit and from there I could see close to nothing because the blue light was on.

I slid inside through the small gap to avoid announcing my presence.

The first thing that hit me was the smell. The room smelled like a mix of cheap perfume and shit and I was hearing moans?

I flip the switch and all the anger I laboured to get rid of came like a raging storm and I had no control. Two boys sleeping with my daughter. In my house!

“Jesus, can’t you knock a fu cking door! Is it so hard” Karen yelled as she tried to cover herself with the duvet. The boys were running everywhere trying to gather their clothes.

I grabbed the bottle of lotion on the dressing table and threw it at one of the boys.

“Get out of my house. Get out now before I call the police” I shouted. I slapped the one closet to me who was running to the door.

“Mum stop it, you are embarrassing me. Are you not supposed to be here next week” She said angrily but her anger was nothing compared to mine.

“If you say one more word I’ll shred you to pieces. Where is your sister and brother?”

“I don’t know and you should leave my room now”

I grabbed her by the neck.

” I didn’t learn martial arts for nothing. If you don’t want to end up in the hospital better start telling me where your siblings are.”

I’m guessing she remembered how I beat her father the last time he tried to abuse me because she started talking immediately.

“Kathryn went to Dad’s house, I don’t know where Kevin went to after the party”

Party?

“you left this house to go to a party and you brought two idiot bastards into my house and I’ll punish you for it just wait” I gave her the sounding slap I’ve been aching to give since I got back and pushed her aside.

I removed the key from the keyhole and locked her in the room before she could realize what happened.

Now I had to find the rest of my unfortunate children and hopefully drill sense into their head.

I kept screaming profusely for help but no one came.

There wasn’t any toilet in my room and I had been protracting the urine from gushing out.

Immediately, something fetish dashed out through my thighs. I was down in the dumps when I saw it was feces.

I was out of the light and I couldn’t undress myself.

I stayed in my room locked for approximately Twelve hours before my Aunty came back with her husband.

When she came back,she unlocked my room and found out that I had messed up the room–the room was smelly.

She went out and came back with a whip, stripped me naked and flogged me ceaselessly for over one hour.

I kept shouting painfully but she didn’t stop flôgging- she flôgged me round the fleet.

Her husband couldn’t help and her son was in his pressing his phone as they didn’t care if my Aunty flogs me to deáth.

After she had flôgged to her satisfaction,she dragged me up to my feet because I was laying down unconscious and pushed me into the kitchen to cook fried rice for dinner.

I sat down naked on the floor in the kitchen hopelessly with blood flowing effusively from the wounds on my shattered body.

I kept pondering on how to cook fried rice because I hadn’t cooked it before.

Alice’s husband opened the door abruptly and saw me naked. He closed my mouth with his left hand and started touching my breást and beneath.

just then Emilia ripped Remita’s gown behind with her heels.

Georgia and Alice left the stage.

Remita, Emilia and Roseanne’s picture appeared on the projector.

They all clapped for them.

Fiona was so proud of Remita.

" The second Question is .... who do you think will win among the three of you so far? " The MC asked.

Nanare held her chest in fear.

They all waited for her answer.

Remita collected the mic and bowed in respect.

” Thank you…. The three of us here have tried our best in everything and for us to be able to get to this stage we are now it really shows we worked hard. So May the best crown and trophy go to the best contestant….Thank you ” Remita said briefly and returned the mic to the MC.

Soon, the projector beeped.

Melody high school students focused their eyes on the projector.

” Why can’t you just save your strength for later. We will both see who deserves the crown and the trophy ” Fiona said.

A female judge walked up to the stage.

   " Are you girls ready for the Question. To be honest, the question is  a bit simple though " The female judge said.

Emilia nodded.

Remita’s heart started beating fast. She began to feel nervous.

~ Oh lord, please help me …. i don’t wanna lose. Grandma please watch over me… Help me win ~ Remita prayed in her mind.

   " The question is.... what would you do if both of you lose at this final stage ? "  The Judge asked.

 Remita kept smiling. .

" Over to you Emilia "  The judge said and gave emilia the mic.

"  if i should lose at this final stage, i bet i will cry my ass out and will not eat for a whole week. But i bet i will win " Emilia said and gave the mic to the judge.

" Really ? you will just cry ?"  The female judge asked.

  " Yes... " Emilia replied.

” Thank you ” Remita said and bowed.

" If i should lose at this final stage then i guess the crown is not for me, I won't cry at all but that feeling of failure will still be there. But that doesn't make me a failure... i believe it is not the end but the beginning to look for other opportunities to win... Thank you " Remita said with courage. She still kept her cool smile.

The female judge nodded negatively at Remita. She wants to make Remita scared.

 Remita was scared but she never fails to keep that pretty smile.

Fear gripped melody High School students.

Fear gripped Mrs Fiona too . Olivia smiled.

Emilia and Remita faced each other and held each other’s hands. They were asked to do that.

The judges discussed silently with each other. They finally concluded.

Just then Nanare walked up to Remita.
