Hyce dropped his body on the ground, and Conrad shot him on the chest, killing him off completely.

“Everything about Emory, Fred, and the fuçking rest of it, count me out” he said.

“The scheduled search for tomorrow is cancelled. Meeting over, till further notice” Conrad said, and the members began dispersing.

UPSTAIRS*

Rebekah removed the bullet from Levi’s arm, and Chadwick treated it with the available treatments before wrapping it up with a bandage.

He’s still unconscious in bed, his face sweaty, and his lips pasty.

“Why is everywhere suddenly silent?” Rebekah stood.

“I’ll go check” Chadwick started walking to the door, but then Conrad and Hyce came in.

“I dismissed everyone” Conrad announced, and Rebekah gasped.

“What the fûck! How about the search scheduled for tomorrow? We’re very close to getting Fred and…

“And we’re not doing that shit anymore. Emory’s parents are being stupid, even Emory herself doesn’t believe anything so give me one damn reason why we should continue” Hyce replied.

“You can’t blame her. She’s the same person who got raped by her uncle and then Lizzy’s own. She got betrayed by too many friends and she obviously has trust issues. You don’t expect her to just believe it just like that!” Rebekah defended.

“And I don’t bloody care! It’s been three awful years Bekah! Three good years of Banks being her shadow and living her life, he doesn’t sleep at night and he doesn’t focus during the day all because of her. You know how many people he offed all for her. BACK IN THE CAMPUS*

Nina and Sybil are still at the maze, and they’ve had their fill of the different Halloween shows.

Now they’re seated tiredly, trying to catch their breaths after participating in the general dance.

Nina drank the remaining wine in her cup before leaving.

Before she could comment on it, her phone rang.

Nina took her ringing phone. It’s Rebekah calling.

“Meet me at Emz’s street right now, she found out about Fred!” Rebekah replied.

Rain located Sybil so easily inside the maze, and she sat in front of her, smiling like a creep.

Sybil couldn’t even open her eyes, she only moved slightly, and Rain’s smile turned cruel.

“Don’t worry, I’ll bring you to safety”

She lifted her up, holding her by the waist and draping her arm across her shoulder.

“Chadwick… Chadwick kissed…me” Sybil muttered senselessly.

“Aww, too bad your romance won’t last” Rain replied, taking her out.

Getting her to the car wasn’t a problem, and the moment they arrived, she drove her out of the school.

She didn’t take her to Fred’s new mansion.

Instead, she took her to a warehouse three streets away.

Fred was already waiting with Omar and Romeo when she arrived, and they were the ones who carried her inside.

She was dropped on the bare ground, and a little blood escaped her nose.

“You’re good, Rain. Since when did you poison her?” Romeo said surprisingly.

Only Tate followed Emory home.

Adrian came to the casino straight, but the army of guards outside forbade him from entering.

“I need to see your criminal boss, fuckers! Bring your boss to me!” Adrian shouted, banging at the gate.

He was throw off, and he hit his head on the road which started bleeding immediately, but he stood like nothing happened.

“I need to see your so-called Master X!!!” He yelled, trying to force his way in again.

One of the guards aimed for his leg and was about to shoot when Hazzan came out.

“Boss allowed entry” he said, and the guards opened the gate.

Adrian stormed in, and Hazzan led him to the office where Master X is standing robotically.

“I’ll go straight to the point. I know you and your son are working with Fred and no amount of talk can change my mind. I can get you arrested but I know you won’t even spend an hour there before getting released cos you have everyone in your dirty palm,… Stay away from my daughter, both you and your son!” Adrian said hotly.

“I have a daughter, too. Though she’s nowhere to be found, but wherever she is, I wouldn’t want anything like what happened to your daughter for her. Fred once worked for me, and…

“Shut up!!! That’s not an excuse. You’re a criminal and that’s period! Stay out of my family” Adrian said, walking out furiously.

“Should I follow him and kill him?” Hazzan asked.

“No need. What’s going on with Levi?” Master X sat.

“Reports said he got insecure and hurt himself” Hazzan reported, and Master X grinded his jaws.

“All my men who’re out in search of Fred, call them back. Cancel the investigation” he said.

“Yes sir” Hazzan bowed, rushing out.

CARSON’S MANSION*

“You lied to me? I’ve been living with lairs for years? Why didn’t you tell me? Why!!!” Emory shouted at her mother in tears.

She’s standing on the stairs, and Tate is standing below it, begging her.

“Please Em, you’re the only one I have and I couldn’t afford to lose you. I knew it’d be too much for you if you found out and that’s why I decided with your dad to keep it. I’m so sorry sweetheart, please forgive me ” Tate was crying too.

“I don’t even know who to believe anymore. Why is everyone lying!! Why are y’all messing with my brain and deceiving me what did I do wrong! What’s my offence!!” Emory cried.

“Emz!” Rebekah rushed in with Nina.

“No not you again! Were you working with Banks all these while? Are you like Lizzy too?” Emory said frustratingly.

Emory rushed to her room and got her phone first.

She saw Sybil’s message about spending the night with Rain before switching off the phone, then she sat on the ground beside her drawer and opened it, bringing out her stash of weed and zippo.

It’s been a while since she did this.

Her fingers were shaking as she tried to roll the weed, and it kept pouring away, so she pushed it off with her leg as tears fell from her eyes.

She buried her face in her knees, crying hotly.
