She wasn’t expecting it, and the moment she inhaled his scent again, she literally buried her nose into his shirt cos it’s so clean.

She couldn’t stop inhaling, and a smirk appeared on his lips.

“Are you trying to sniff me up?” He spoke, and she looked up.

“I’ve always loved how you smell… don’t judge me” she said, and he kissed her forehead adorably.

Almost immediately, Tate and Adrian came in, and Tate nearly fainted when she saw her for real.

“It’s… it’s true… you’re Alive! My daughter… Emory how did…

“Emory… Is this really you?” Adrian said unbelievably.

Emory quickly went behind Levi, staying there.

“I don’t want to follow them, please. They played a big part in messing with my head and I can’t stand them right now” she said.

Tate started rushing closer, but Levi immediately carried Emory like a baby, and she hid her face in his neck as he started carrying her out.

“Where do you think you’re going! You think you have the right to touch her after all you’ve done?” Adrian snapped at him.

“Drop my daughter!” Tate shouted.

“Should I brand her as mine before it becomes official? I don’t give a fûck who you are or your positions in her life. I don’t give a damn about anything at the moment except her, and that is to say; if you both played any part in her misery, then I’ll kill you both and bury you where no one will find you” Levi replied coolly, and the couple went silent.

Levi smirked before finally carrying Emory out of the ward.

He met the guys outside and signalled secretly to them.

Hyce and Conrad got the signal and nodded as he collected the chocolate bag from Rebekah and took Emory away.

The couple rushed out of the ward instantly.

“Emory! Emory!!!” Tate started running after them, and Hyce knowingly bumped into her.

Her bag fell, and he quickly picked it up, secretly planting a bug inside it.

“Sorry, ma’am” he smiled, and she snatched it from him before rushing after Emory and Levi.

Conrad did the same to Adrian, but since there’s no bag to attack the bug to, he attached it to his shoe sole.

“Sorry, sir” he smiled.

“Bunch of psychopathic kids! Stay away from my daughter!” He snapped.

“A daughter you couldn’t even recognize her fake? Are you both even her parents?” Conrad replied hatefully, and Adrian raised his hand on him, but Rebekah was fast to come between them.

“Touch him and I’ll make you regret it” she said.

Adrian left angrily, and Conrad pulled Rebekah back to his side

“Just leave him be”

“I just hate them. Things wouldn’t go awry like this if my baby had better parents” Rebekah replied.

“So what are the bugs for?” Nina suddenly asked.

“Was about to ask the same thing” Isaac added.

“Banks told us to plant it. He has his reasons obviously” Hyce replied, and that instant, Chadwick ran into the hallway.

He almost bumped into Nina, but she quickly moved out of the way.

“Watch it!” She rolled eyes, and he smiled, trying to calm down.

“Ok, ok… Fred’s silicone face is out” He announced, bringing out the picture.

Their eyes widened in sync.

“Prof. Hayden!!” They chorused.

“I know it sounds surreal, but it’s legit. I mean… The great Arrow made the mask, and I can still remember scanning Prof . Hayden’s face with the machine on the day of the search but it marked him green… That man is a fuçking snake!” Chadwick said.

“I feel fuçking useless. He was right under our nose but we still lost him?” Conrad scoffed.

“We didn’t totally lose him, remember?” Hyce replied, exchanging glances with Chadwick and Conrad.

“Do you know the three of you are suspicious? Till now, no one knows what you travelled out to do for five months” Nina said.

“I promise you’re about to find out” Chadwick replied, and Nina rolled eyes.

“By the way, Layla was being a bîtch earlier. You might wanna talk to her” Rebekah said.

“Nurse Layla?” Chadwick blinked.

“Yeah. You’re the one who forced her to save Banks, and now she’s feeling entitled. Talk some sense into her before I lose it” Nina replied.

“And to think I liked her” Rebekah smirked, and Conrad took her hand.

“Let’s move” he told her.

She didn’t argue before following him out.

Hyce grabbed Isaac too, interlocking their fingers before taking him away.

“We should visit your mum” Hyce said.

“Was just about to say that, she has been asking of you ” Isaac replied before they went out of sight.

“Where’s Layla herself?” Chadwick asked.

“She probably returned to her office” Nina replied, and they both made their way to her office where they met her crying by her desk.

“Oh wow” Chadwick said surprisingly.

“Is this for real? I mean…hello?” Nina waved her right hand in front of her.

“Get out, you both!” She snapped.

“I know I forced you in the ambulance that night, and you were the happiest person on earth when he survived, but isn’t that how it is supposed to be? You’re a nurse, and saving lives is your modus operandi” Chadwick said.

“Just leave me alone! Didn’t he almost die because of the same girl? Why do you think he filtered her out of his memories? Because it’s a painful one he can’t stand!” Layla snapped.

“And why do you think he still feels attached to her despite the memory loss? Because she’s what he needs to heal! I hope you heal too, and don’t be like Lizzy cos he’ll just kill you” Nina replied and left the office.

“You got promoted cos of his case, I think that should be enough if you’re wise. Don’t provoke Levi’s dark side, you won’t like it” Chadwick said and left the office too, meeting Nina in front of it.

“Are you waiting for me?” He asked.

“Is this sarcasm? Of course I am! I don’t have a car!” She snapped.

“But it’s month-end, you should have gotten your first salary already. General Manager Nina” he teased.

“I got it already but I’m planning to buy a house first. Car can come next month so give me a ride” she replied, leading the way out.

Chadwick followed with a silly grin.

Master X is currently in the gifts room again, staring at the tower of birthday gifts with a melancholic face.

His right hand is behind him, and the left one is on top of his walking cane as he was sighed from time to time.

Levi hasn’t said a word to him since the rescue mission yesterday, and it’s understandable.

That’s even preferable cos he knows the moment he opens his mouth to talk, everything might just scatter.

Levi is not a gentle person.

He was still staring around the room when Silver came in behind him, and he quickly turned.

“Silver” he said surprisingly.

“What’s all these?” She said, looking around too.

Master X couldn’t talk as she started touching everything with a sad gleam in her eyes.

“So it’s true. Hazzan told me everything” she said, facing him suddenly.

“How you always buy gifts to keep here but pretended to hate him and never gave him the gifts. So you continued with the hatred even after I got kidnapped,…I can imagine my baby’s pain, it’s not funny, dad, it’s not…” She said, and Master X came closer, but she shifted back.

“No… remember how I used to beg you for a birthday cake for him when we were little? I know how he feels whenever you shun him or treat him like a bastard. I’m connected to him yunno? I feel his emotions and I’m saying it again that it’s not funny. He did nothing wrong” she said defensively.

“It’s all my fault…I’m not denying it… I know I’m useless” Master X replied guiltily.

“And that’s why you’ll beg him like a criminal. Beg him like you stole his most treasured possession. Beg him, dad. His 26th birthday is in two months, do it, and I’m looking forward to it” she said, waltzing out of the room.

Master X sighed, and Hazzan came in afterwards.

“What’s the next thing to do?” He asked.

“Paste Fred’s silicone and original face around the city, and everywhere in the internet. Hire people to do it if extra services are needed, and make sure to send Arrow’s payment too” Master X ordered.

“Yes boss” Hazzan replied, leaving the room.
