“Fuçking Noah” he replied, and then his lips came crashing on hers in the most dominating kiss ever.
Emory quickly grabbed his shirt by each sides, knotting it in her palms as she responded to the kiss in the fastest pace she has ever went.
The skin around her lips reddened as a result of the wildness of the kiss, and she’s so sure one of them will get a love bite on their lips as usual.
The rainwater was mixing with saliva in their throats, and that created a livelier symphony.
They kissed into each other’s deepest souls, drew out each other’s demons and slaughtered them one by one.
The fact that she’s standing on her toes and the fact that he’s craning his neck down to match her height doesn’t even matter.
They just want to kiss.
Another thunder roared in the sky, and the storm went from hard to chilliest, almost sweeping Emory off her feet.
The kiss got broken forcefully, and Levi quickly carried her in his arms.
She tangled her arms on his neck as he ran fast down the bridge, and she won’t stop looking at him with a smiley face.
He said what he said in the morning is bullshit.
Meaning, it meant nonsense.
Tonight could pass as the happiest night of her life.
In the pit of her stomach, there’s a big feast ongoing right now.
No one is able to drive cos of the storm, so after Levi left the bridge, he began scouting for safe places to stay beside the road.
It’s worse cos there’s no hotel around, so they only have to find someplace to stay till it stops, though it doesn’t look like it’s stopping anytime soon.
“Hey Banks!” A familiar voice called somewhere around, and Levi turned to see Hazzan holding an umbrella over his head.
“Hazzan?” Levi said surprisingly.
“Come on in. I live not far from here remember?” Hazzan smiled.
The storm took the umbrella from him in no time, and he began getting drenched too
The storm seems to be getting worse.
Without waiting, Levi followed him, and he led them to a mansion not far from the road.
“Who’s he?” Emory asked in his arms
“Chadwick’s father…also Xavier’s right-hand man” Levi replied.
Hazzan opened the door for them, and despite their wetness, they stepped in.
“Look who we have here!” Chadwick almost shouted from the living room.
He’s hanging headphones on his neck, holding a kindle which he’s reading a book from.
“You should dry up and change first” Hazzan told them.
“How did you find us?” Levi asked suspiciously.
“I know what you’re thinking, but Master X didn’t put me on your tail. I was slightly sick so I took tonight off from the casino, and I happened to see when you were climbing the bridge earlier” Hazzan replied.
“My father is a good man duhh” Chadwick said.
“Shut the fûck” Levi threw him a cutting glare, and he saluted funnily.
“Yes boss!”
Emory couldn’t help but smile despite her cold.
Chadwick changed for real.
They were led upstairs to the last bedroom, and they went further into the bathroom.
“I’ll bring you some of Chadwick’s clothes to change into” Hazzan said.
“I can manage his clothes, but Noah ain’t wearing them” Levi replied plainly, and Hazzan smiled.
“I understand, I’ll get her something else” he said before leaving the room.
Without caring about himself, Levi went to Emory and began stripping her of her clothes.
He started with the shirt buttons…
“I can do it myself” she told him quickly.
“I know” he replied, giving her a glance before continuing.
“And also….I…I wasn’t trying to jump into the river earlier. I really wasn’t gonna jump…I didn’t know the rail would tear apart” she said in an attempt to clear herself.
“Good” he replied, and she smiled as he finally finished undoing the buttons.
He pulled off the shirt, then her singlet.
Her breàsts bounced out since she’s not wearing a bra, and she quickly pulled down her pants by herself.
Not feeling shy when she’s currently naked in front of him is something she should be rated five stars for.
He devoured her with his eyes, and she felt her cheeks reddening.
“Do you want me to help you undress too?” She asked.
“You want to?” He replied, and she nodded before moving close.
She had to stand on her tippy toes again, so he lowered his frame for her.
She pulled up his shirt in no time, and his jean pants followed.
Immediately he stepped out of them, she made to roll off his boxers too, but he held her hands, stopping her.
“Wh..y?” She asked, looking straight into his eyeballs.
“You might not be able to handle it” he replied, and a deeper shade of red crept to her cheeks as she took her lower lip into her mouth.
Levi immediately wants to kiss her breathless again and eat uo those lips, but that might have to wait.
He ran her a warm bath in the available shower, and immediately she stepped into the soothing water…
“Here!” Chadwick’s voice said from the bedroom, and Levi went there to collect the clothes he brought.
One is a shirt and joggers from him, then the second one is a female tulle skirt and woolen blouse.
“They’re my late mother’s clothes. Luckily for her, she had same small stature” Chadwick explained.
“Cool” Levi took the clothes from him and started walking back into the bathroom.
“Thank you” Chadwick suddenly said, and he turned.
“I know you dislike your father, and I know he treats you bad, but I still have you to thank as his son. He bought us this place and he has been feeding I and my father since I was born. I got to know it today that he’s in charge of paying my tuition too. He’s a good man, but maybe he’s still trapped in the past” Chadwick continued.
“Congratulations on being on the good man’s good side” Levi replied, finally stepping into the bathroom.
Emory is out of the tub, so she dried up and put on the clothes he brought.
They fitted perfectly.
She waited in the bedroom so he had his bath too…under the shower though.
He came out dressed after five minutes, and she spranged up from the bed she’s sitting on.
He pushed her back to sit, and she didn’t try to stand as she squatted in front of her and took her legs, raising them up to reveal her foot.
As a result of her barefooted walk, there are slight bruises on her feet, and they look red and painful.
“Walking barefoot is your signature thing to do?” He said, sounding totally like a scold.
“I…I wasn’t thinking when I left the hospital and boarded the bus” she replied.
Levi asked Hazzan for a healing balm, and it was brought in a jiffy.
As she rubbed it slowly on Emory’s feet, she couldn’t keep in the questions…
“Why did you say that to me? Did someone upset you? Enough to take it out on me?” She asked, and he stopped rubbing.
He held eyes with her, and she could feel her heart pounding.
“Nah…just that for once in my life, I took the stupid route, and it didn’t end well” he said.
“How did you find me on the bridge?” She asked.
“I went for a ride after leaving you, then I went to the Loft, but I was restless, I couldn’t do a thing right. I came back to the hospital with the plan to watch you secretly, but then i saw you leaving the hospital and followed you secretly” he explained.
“Are you ok though?” She asked.
“Should be” he replied and carried her again.
He took her downstairs where they met father and son setting the table for dinner.
“Here, I made a quick dinner” Hazzan announced.
“Call Hyce, tell him she’s safe. He’ll pass the information to her parents” Levi told Chadwick, and Chadwick immediately dialled Hyce.
They settled to eat, and as usual, Levi barely ate.
Emory has come to know that he’s a madly picky eater…he doesn’t just eat whatever.
“You might not know, but your father loves you, why else would he tell me to Photoshop you into your mother’s arm in her picture with Silver?” Hazzan suddenly said.
Levi drank some water, not saying a word.
“I guess he just loves his wife too much, and he needs someone to blame. As the only remaining member of his family, he has no choice but take it out on you, but you shouldn’t take it to heart. Just go after what you want” Hazzan smiled as he finalized his words.
Under the table, Emory is holding Levi’s hand since she sensed his discomfort.
Anything about Master X irks him a lot…she knows that.
They finished dinner and went back to the bedroom upstairs.
Emory wrapped herself under his skin, she almost entered his body as they lay in bed together.
His right arm is around her neck, and he guided her to his chest with them, so her small body is cocooned under his wraps.
The duvet covered them totally, and she didn’t stop inhaling him like she’s totally addicted.
“You didn’t forget about the date, did you?” She asked.
“No way in hell…we go tomorrow” he replied, and she looked up, slightly drawing back.
“Seriously?” Her eyes shone.
“Hmmm…mm” he replied, and she smiled, widely.
She wasn’t ready for when he pressed his lips on hers, and it was the gentlest kiss ever.
It’s almost like he’s holding himself back from making it rough like his usual kisses, and she smiled into it.
Three minutes after he broke it, she was already asleep on his chest.
As usual, Levi didn’t sleep.
He couldn’t.
His phone buzzed with a text on the nightstand, and he stretched his hand to take it
It’s a text from his agent… Natasha.
Natasha: Fred was sighted two days ago in Spain. Terraverde island to be precise, but the exact location is still untraceable. Will give you more updates as I get them.
He dropped the phone and sighed, calling out all his neurons to work, and his head snapped.
Fred is a genuis according to his family history. He’s fuçking brilliant, so he’ll use that to his own advantage.
But so far he’s in his radar, he’s got this.
He looked at Emory’s sleeping face and smiled slightly, rubbing her ear before shutting his eyes.
