Two weeks later I was back to myself and I was attending my classes well.The lecturer didn’t try assaulting me anymore and therefore I was now used to him.
He would just interrupt me many times when I was alone and explain to me his feelings, obviously I ignored him.In fact I made sure to avoid him in places that was abandoned and there was no one.
It was working for me now and I was now the Cate that everyone knew.Mr Lennox couldn’t text me either,that would be his trap so he tried to have my attention while I was relaxing outside the school compound.
All things were going against him now until the week that we were supposed to be having the examinations.As I was seated in the library going on with my studies Mr Lennox who was in the Library had walked directly to where I was seated.
He was carrying the Literature textbook.Apparently the lecturer was also a student who was doing pHD.He came sat and faced me smiling.
“ Sir what are you up to now?” I had boldy asked him.
“ Cate you know the examinations are around the corner”
“ Yeah I know and that is why I am busy studying sir”
“ But I can make sure you get an A, just be mine”
“ Sir No,I have been scoring A’s without the help of anyone, furthermore am a Christian and I don’t approve cheating”
“ You will fail,think twice” he said as he stood from the seat and walked out of the library.
I didn’t understand what he meant by what he had just said,I then stared as he disappeared into the departments offices.Twenty minutes later,I was done with the studying.
I quickly gave the librarian the textbook and got out of the library.It was on a Friday and the exams were supposed to begin the following Monday.
It was already four pm as I checked on my phone.I carried my handbag and hurried back to my house.The mood in the university that day was different.The University premises were silent, people were busy going on with their studies.
I ain’t bragging but I walked through the pavements feeling full of content.I had studied hard and was waiting to reap the results and that explains why I had left the library early.
After I had gotten into the house,I had put my handbag on the bed and threw myself on the bed.I felt tired.I had lay and woken up at seven pm.
I walked directly outside the rentals to get vegetables from Mama Odul,the mama mboga who used to sell the vegetables for the students.She was a good friend of mine so we had stayed a while as we made stories.After I had given the money I walked back to the house to prepare supper ate and went to sleep.
Sunday during the chapel service,we had prayed for our examinations that was to begin the next day.Many students had attended the service that day maybe because of the upcoming exams.
After the service in the afternoon we started leaving.I had left the chapel and walked directly to the Library to gather what I had not managed to read and capture.
I stayed at the library reading seriously and taking down notes for about three hours until I started feeling dizzy that I stopped and walked to the house
That night I never went online,I was offline since I had slept early so that I could be up by dawn to read through my short notes before I could go for my first exam that was supposed to start by 8:00 am.
