It had been two years since my husband Sam died.We had been married for five years and were blessed with a child
I must say that the two years has been really a burden to me bearing in mind what my husband wish was as he lay on the death bed
He had been diagnosed of cancer and it was too late to save him when he realized that he had the disease
One evening as I was seated next to him at an hospital bed he called me to move near him before he held my hands
“Lucy I want you to promise me one thing”

“When I am gone,you won’t fall in love with anyone else because I love you”
“I love you too but am very sure Sam that you aren’t going to die,let us believe in our Lord he will save us”
Just then Sam started shaking,I rushed outside and called a nurse who immediately ran to the ward
“What happened?” the nurse asked as she tried to control him from shaking
“It all started suddenly,he was shaking,I don’t know what happened”
The nurse told me to go and call the doctor who was at the office as she tried as much as possible to regain his consciousness
She then gave an injection to calm him down and Sam condition went down and all hope was restored but then another problem arose
His heart stopped and the nurse efforts had proved futile because when the doctor arrived he confirmed that Sam was gone
That was the worst day of my life,I felt pain in my heart as I moved out of the ward and Sam’s body was carried to the morgue
I went back home and informed everyone what had happened and how Sam had lost his life
The neighbours came to mourn with our family during this time of sorrow.His parents were there too to and I could see the pain that they felt of having to lose their child
