There was thunder and lightning as they continued to dig the graves silently so as not take attention from people who were already asleep

They dug and dug although it was raining.Sandra was standing some distance away from them,she was holding the torch

The men were almost around two feets down the grave when they started to hear some scary sounds.

They pretended to be men enough and continued

She had even stepped on a thorn without caring and as she sat down on the tiled floor she tried to remove it,however it was paining

One of the doctors came out of the ward to meet the family members.Damian had just seen her and started pacing towards them

“Doctor how is my wife doing? Can I go and see her now?” He asks and the doctor tells him to calm down

“Your wife had food poisoning which might affect the child but now we have managed to make her sleep,we wanted to know if you will allow us to do an operation to save the child”

The doctor rushes back into the ward and orders the nurses to bring the operation tools

In the meanwhile the doctors were finalizing and finally they saved the baby.One of the nurses holds the baby and covers her with a blue shawl.The boy was still small but at least he was safe.The issue now was the mother

The doctor tries to wake her up but she seems to be in deep sleep,he checks her heartbeat using the stethoscope and realizes that the heart wasn’t beating

The doctor looks worried and listens if she is breathing but Lucy isn’t breathing, everyone in the room looks worried that maybe Lucy has died.They were still staring at her feeling broken hearted when suddenly Lucy whispers

“Hello babe,we just had an emergency,please rush to the hospital right away” Sandra says while breathing heavily as the two women kept staring at her

“Hello what do you mean you had an emergency,what is wrong baby?” he asks, looking scared

“Lucy just experienced labour pains” she replies

“But she still has one month to go” he says waiting for a reply, “Hello! Hello!” he says then checks the phone and realizes that Sandra has ended the call

Feeling scared,he storms out of his office and runs to his boss to seek for permission to leave work early since an emergency had just occurred at home

Damian used to work at a wholesale that sales construction materials and he was the supervisor of the wholesale

Mr Williams, the boss gave him the permission to leave and appointed someone to supervise the stuff who were working there

He immediately stopped a taxi that was passing by

“Excuse me sir,where may I take you to?” The taxi man asks

The hospital is the only hospital that is near where they live and therefore he knows that the wife must have been rushed there

Shila was at home alone when she too started to feel pains in her stomach,at first the stomachache was just normal but it continued to pain her

She wants to help herself but the pain becomes too unbearable that she can’t even stand and she starts crying for help but no one was around to help her. Everyone had gone to the hospital

She was busy screaming but as loud as she could scream none of the neighbours could hear her

The girl ran as fast as possible not knowing why she was running and why she was holding a bottle of medicine in her hands.She got there after some few minutes and found Shila lying on the sofa

She had lost a lot of energy but she helped her sit down and made her drink the medicine and immediately the pain she had been feeling went away.

Sam’s spirit leaves the girl and disappears.

After so much thinking she came to a conclusion that getting the skull wasn’t going to be an option anymore but she just had to get rid of the baby

she said and got up from the plastic chair,carried it and went into the house

It was now a weeks time but Sandra had not made any move at all

Finally there was peace in their homes and everyone thought that they had made peace to reconcile amongst each other

It was now months and everyone in the village knew that Lucy was going to give birth any day soon since the pregnancy could be seen as it was almost nine months

It had now become a routine that not a day would pass by without her having any visitor and she was getting used to it.On realizing this Sandra decided to take an advantage and strike when everyone wasn’t expecting

For the few months she had remained silent and pretended to be good to Lucy, they became friends and she now trusted her so much like a friend however this woman was full of jealousy and wanted revenge.

Being that they had became friends Sandra saw it was the best opportunity to attack since Lucy wasn’t going to suspect anything

Sandra had a plan to travel over and meet the witch so that she helps her get rid of the baby

The following day she timed after the husband was gone then prepared herself and travelled to meet the witch

Cassandra used to stay in another village near their village therefore she took a motorcycle which dropped her at Cassandra’s place.The witch used to live alone and nobody except few knew what she was practicing

She walked into the compound and went straight into the small grass touched house where she found Cassandra cleaning the house

“I see you are back,it has been long anyway did you do what I had instructed you to do?”

“No”

“Then why are you here? I think you know very well that I can’t help you without that skull because we are dealing with a dead spirit”

She looked back and immediately she started running.Her heart was racing faster because she had seen a ghost in real life

“No it can’t be true,Sam is dead and we buried him long time ago” she kept telling herself as she ran for her life

She was running while picturing what she had just seen which scared her

She had seen Sam dressed in full black clothing looking scary and just before she ran the man disappeared while she saw it in her own two eyes

Sandra got into the house,locked the door and started breathing heavily because she had ran without resting a bit

She was so scared that she just went directly into the bedroom and covered herself very well,the remaining hours she couldn’t sleep at all as she kept picturing and rewinding the memory to see if she was dreaming but unfortunately what she saw was a reality

“How am I going to tell my husband about this because he had told me not to do anything to Lucy and I didn’t listen,I am going to keep this a secret” she tells herself and continues to stare at the dark ceiling

The ghost that she had just seen had made her drop the bottle and run for her life,which meant that her plan of getting rid of Lucy wasn’t going to work as she wasn’t going back there that time of the night

The following morning she woke up as usual and did the chores as if everything was okay

Damian woke up later.He didn’t know what happened that night and Sandra made sure to be quiet about it.However she still had second thoughts of whether to go back and seek Obiageli help again or not

Anyway she decided to wait and see the outcome of the baby that Lucy was carrying in her belly.

Two days but nothing had happened and she started to wonder if what Obiageli had done was really going to work but unfortunately it didn’t

Time went by and her pregnancy could now be spotted and this made Sandra very nervous bearing in mind that Lucy was Carrying a male child, however she couldn’t do anything because she feared that maybe the late Sam spirit was protecting Lucy

She However started to visit different native doctor’s to consult them on how she would deal with a spirit of a dead person and she once met this witch her name is Cassandra,she told her to go to the grave of the late,dug it up and bring her the head skull of the dead

He then picked the picture and placed it in another bowl full of blood while saying some incantations,Sandra kept staring looking scared

The native doctor then removes a small bottle filled with some white powders and hands it over to Sandra

Sandra feels scared to collect the bottle but Obiageli forces her to collect it and she picks it and places it in her handbag

“The child issue is solved,now go and pour that powder in Lucy’s door,if she crosses the line on it she will die but be warned the spirit that protects her is angered by your actions,anything that happens be prepared for the outcome,now leave my shrine and don’t look back” Obiageli says and laughs sarcastically

Sandra runs out faster,gets into the car and drives off faster without daring to look back

Her heart was racing faster as she was confused on what to do.Should I risk it or throw this thing away? Sandra asks herself

“No the plan goes on as I had planned and I am not going to back up at all,that woman will be gone by tomorrow” she tells herself as she keeps on driving

Lucy was outside her compound.She was sweeping the compound when her belly started to ache.The pain she felt was so much like that of labour pains yet it was still early for her to deliver

“Ooh my God what is wrong with me?” she yells while holding her belly and struggles to walk into her room and throws herself onto the bed

“Ooh Sam!! Sam,My husband my stomach!! I am dying,I know you don’t want me to have a child with your brother but don’t punish the innocent” she yells in pain

Sam ghost appeared next to where she was,in his hands he was holding a small bottle which he gave her

“I am sorry baby but I am not the one behind all this.Someone went to a witch to make sure that you die together with your unborn child but drink that and nothing will happen to you or your child”

She wanted to ask who it was but however Sam disappeared before she could.

At first she was afraid to drink the liquid in the bottle but the trust she had for the husband made her drink it and finally the pain in her stomach had faded away.

Sandra got back home feeling very optimistic with the plans that she was going to execute,she just had to wait until evening before she could go and pour the powder infront of Lucy’s house.

After she was done with the dishes she walked into the children’s room and spotted her two daughters Amaka and Beatrice,they were bought dead asleep

She then switched off the light and left into their bedroom

Damian was still lying on the bed when she entered,she stared at him without saying anything before she changed into the night gown and went to sit close to him

The following day,Sandra woke up very early prepared breakfast and then prepared the kids for school

Damian woke up some few minutes later,took the breakfast had a bath and left for work leaving Sandra at home

Sandra had a mission to travel over and see the native doctor so she did the house chores faster then prepared herself

She got into her car and zoomed off.Her friend who had told her about Obiageli the native doctor was waiting for her at the center,she arrived there some few minutes later and called Linah before she rushed into her car

“So everything you say about this native doctor is true?” Sandra asked looking curious

“Yes off course,there is no any power that can oversee his power,in fact he will kill that girl you say is a witch just in some few minutes,if you follow what he says,he is powerful that is all I can tell you”

Sandra was now confident and was driving at a very high speed as she wanted her problem solved as soon as yesterday.
