Few minutes later, she came back an placed two packs each infront of Rudy and Abbie.

Zoey’s car drove in the school parking lot. She parked her car safely as exhaled loudly, resting her head on her seat.

As if he knew she was thinking about him, Bryce’s car parked not far from hers and he got down.

Her eyes widened and she quickly bent down so he won’t see her.

“I’m not ready to see him.. No not now” She said nervously. She peeked up to see if he left already.

Bryce brought out his suitcase from the car and shut it. He made to leave but paused when he felt two person starring at him. He already knew who the first of one was not the second one..

Before he could make another step, a gun shot was fired

“Ahh!!” Zoey covered her ears in fear.

The gunshot was aimed at Bryce but he was too quick to hide himself.

“Show yourself!! Come out from wherever you are and face me like a man” Bryce said and brought out his gun too..

“As you wish” A voice said and jumped down the window in front of him. He was wearing all black, putting on a black mask too.

Without wasting time, he kicked Bryce’s gun off his hand and launched at him.. They began exchanging blows..

Zoey’s eyes widened as she watched them from her car. She was too scared and confused to do anything. Should she help him or call the cops.. But he is the cop?

Bryce punched him on the tummy and kneed him too. He made to punch his face but the guy dodged and landed a punch on Bryce’s face, bursting his lips.

In a swift movement, he brought out his kind and stabbed Bryce on the arm.

“Sh*t!” Bryce winced..

“Bryce no!!!” Zoey screamed from her car and the masked man’s attention turned to Zoey.

Bryce, not caring about his stabbed arm tackled the man and swiftly took the knife from the guy then placed it on his neck.

He made to slid his throat bit froze when a gun was placed on the back of his head.

“Let him go or I blow your head this instance” A cold voice said.

Bryce tightened his grip on the knife as he gritted his teeth. He sighed and slowly released the guy who quickly stood up.

The guy pointing the gun at Bryce’s head gestured at the other to leave an he obeyed. Like that, they both left.

“Bryce!!” Zoey got down the car and ran to him. She squatted in front of him then touched his shoulder which was still bleeding

People began gathering there since they heard the gunshot

“Bryce are you-”

Bryce slapped her hand off his body, looking so angry.

“Why did you have to scream? Do you realize what you just did? Why were you even here!!” Bryce shouted.

“I.. I thought I could help” Zoey whispered.

“You didn’t Zoey.. You can’t help me!!” Bryce shouted.

He stood up and left for the infirmary, not carrying about the eyes starring at him.

Zoey just squatted there, starring at him leave.

Meanwhile, in a secluded corner the two guys removed their masks revealing none other than Tyler and Lucas.

“What were you thinking when you attacked him all on your own.. If I hadn’t arrive a minute earlier you could have been history!!” Lucas said angrily.

“I can’t stand him in this school… Wanted to clear him off my sight” Tyler scoffed.

“Don is having a hard time to defeat him, you think it’s you that will succeed? Don’t make me laugh” Lucas scoffed.

“At least this your stupidity showed us one way to get to him and that’s Zoey… I think he has a soft spot for her” Lucas smirked and brought out his phone to call Don.

Zoey walked in the hall while frowning.

“Who does he think he is? I was trying to be concerned about him for once and he shouted at me like I’m his kid, publicly humiliating me like that!! He f*ck off for all I care” Zoey mumbled angrily to herself as she went to her seats.

“Hey girl.. You almost arrived late” Whitney said.

“I’m sorry, I had something to do” Zoey forced a smile and took her seat.

“Did you guys hear the gunshot? I heard people say Mr Bennett almost got ambushed and he was shot” Abbie said

“Let him díe… I don’t give a damn!” Zoey snapped.

Alma, Estella, Abbie and Whitney blinked while looking at themselves before they gazed at Zoey who was looking so mad.

<BRYCE’S OFFICE>

Bryce was busy reflecting about what happened earlier and couldn’t help but curse.

He already got his wound treated and wasn’t that deep. Besides that’s small compared to all the wounds he has received.

“Why did she even had to show herself. She could have just left, now they’ve seen her face” He ran his hand through his hair.

A knock interrupted his thought. He stood up and went to opened it since he locked it to avoid being disturbed.

He opened it and came face to face with Ale

“Sir..” He muttered

“Please come in..” Bryce said and Alex went in.

Bryce insisted he come to his office immediately he arrived school. The lecture going on wasn’t that important since he knows it already so he boycotted it to come here.

“So what’s up?” Alex asked.

“I wanted to ask you some questions… About your life and your family” Bryce said.

“My family.. Isn’t that too personal?” Alex raised his brows.

“Yes but I-”

Bryce’s hand mistakenly hit a stack off papers and it all poured on the floor.

“F*ck..” Bryce muttered and bent to pick it

“I’ll help” Alex said and he stretched his hand to pick the papers.

Bryce furrowed his brows when he saw the birth mark on his palm. Bryce raised his own palm and looked at it, his eyes widened… Same birthmark, same palm!!

Bryce’s eyes dilated to a confused one as he looked at Alex.
