“Why don’t you just give him a divorce? You no longer love him” Brenda, Bianca’s mother said to her as she sat beside her in the sitting room sofa.
“I won’t give Bobby a divorce, mom. He needs to know that I am the one who call the shots here and not him” Bianca reply, flicking through a magazine.
“So, you want to keep staying with a man you don’t love?”
“I do. You stayed with Stephanie father and put up with his crap for years,you never even loved the man” Bianca remind her mom.
“My situation is different from….”
“It’s not mom! Bobby is my husband and it will keep on staying that way!”
Brenda let out a sigh as she pick up the remote to switch the channel.
She came across the news about Fannie Grey and immediately Bianca stop her.
“I can’t believe you are still obsess about this lady”
“Her songs are a bomb mom. I have it all on my phone and she’s one of my favorite. It’s a pity she won’t show herself to the public, I really want to meet her” Bianca said in excitement.
“But she did. Seems like some people spotted her at the airport being carried off by a man” Brenda said as the two of them focus on the news.
“Hang on a sec. Isn’t that Stephanie?” Bianca ask.
“If my eyes aren’t mistaken, she is the one ”
“Don’t tell me that Stephanie is Fannie Grey?” Bianca ask, shock rippling through her.
“It’s Stephanie, who would have believe that she will come back strong and better after what we did to her” Bobby said from behind and immediately, Bianca stood up.
“So, you’ve known about Stephanie being Fannie Grey?” She ask.
“I also just found out”
“Now that you are about to get a divorce from my daughter? Do you not even acknowledge my presence, I am still your mother in law ” Brenda said, approaching the two of them.
“Am sorry Mrs Brenda” Bobby apologise.
“Tell me, are you getting a divorce because of Stephanie?” Bianca ask.
“Yes” he replied truthfully.
“You didn’t even hesitate and what makes you think she will welcome you back with her arms wide open ?”
“I doubt if she will welcome me. Am pretty sure she hates me but I won’t give up on her”
“Do you realize what you are saying to me, Bobby! I am your wife!” Bianca yell at him, getting furious.
“That will soon be rectified once I get my divorce”
“You can’t divorce me! Especially when it’s because of her, I won’t let you!” Bianca yell at him.
“Dragging this on won’t change my mind. I want a divorce and there’s nothing you can do to prevent that” He said, walking past her to go upstairs.
“Did you hear him mom. He’s leaving me for Stephanie” Bianca said softly.
“Which is why I think you should grant him the divorce and leave. He’s not worth your agony ”
“No! I won’t grant Bobby a divorce. I will make him pay for doing this to me, he won’t be happy with Stephanie cause I will become a thorn in their life and I won’t hesitate to ruin Stephanie, I swear” Bianca said with fierce determination.

“Put me down! Put me down, you creep!” Stephanie said, hitting Ashton on the back but he didn’t let her go until they got to the broadcasting room.
“This is the key sir” one of the employee said handing Ashton the key to the room.
“Are you sure everything in that room is switch off?” Ashton ask.
“It’s been turned off sir including the power switch”
“Thanks” Ashton said as he walk into the room, placing Stephanie on her feet before going back to the door to lock and pocket the key.
“Stephanie I….” A slap on the cheek end whatever he was going to say.
“Don’t you ever manhandle me again” Stephanie said and head to the door but he went after her, taking hold of her hand.
“Let go of me! I don’t want to be anywhere close to you!” She said forcefully.
“I know how much you hate me and I deserve it but give me a chance to explain” he said, holding both her hand.
“Explain what? What reason do you have order than you want to take my kids from me. You failed to believe me five years ago when I told you I was pregnant and now, you’ve found out the truth and want to take my children away from me. I won’t let you Ashton, I won’t!” Stephanie scream this at him.
“Will you lower your voice and listen to me!”
“Lower my voice? Bet you haven’t heard me scream to the fullest, how about I show you” Stephanie said stubbornly.
“Help me! Someone help! A psycho has kept me lock in here!” Stephanie began screaming.
“Shut up, Stephanie” Ashton warn but Stephanie made her voice louder.
“You leave me no choice then” he said, tugging her forward and wrapping his arms around her, then he lean in and smack his lips on hers.
Stephanie was taken aback by this action that she stood still in his arms for the first few seconds then she regain her wits and began pushing him but he only tighten his arms around her, deepening the kiss.
He bit gently on her lips and when she gasp, he slid his tongue into her moist mouth, tasting and wanting more.
Still kissing, he walk them both to the sound equipment table and lift Stephanie on it, unknown to them they had switch on the power button of the broadcasting sound system.
Sanity is slowly leaving Stephanie but the little she had left made her push at his chest but he caught her hand and place it on his shoulder while he kept devouring her lips.
She wanted to stop him but she couldn’t, how can she hate the man and let him kiss her? She thought as she succeed in pushing him away.
She got off the desk and tried to leave but he stop her.
“Get out of my way”
“Leaving after sharing a kiss with me is a definite no” Ashton said, standing in her path.
“What do you want then? What do you want from me?” Stephanie demand.
” I want you…to be the next Mrs Maverick”
“What!”
“To put it in simple words, I want you to be my wife, Stephanie” he said and unknown to the two, their conversation is being heard by everyone present at the airport thanks to the sound button they unknowingly switch on…….
