“I’m not moving” she replied, stroking his hair, but the strange thing is that even his scalp is hot.

Slowly, he looked up from her neck, and she smiled when she saw his face.

“You thought I wasn’t aware when you sneaked up beside me? I have that talent of being so sensitive, and I trailed your car here” she said.

He stood to his feet and pulled her to her feet too, but he didn’t let go of her hand.

He opened the car door and gently pushed her in.

“Are we going back home?” She asked.

“You’ll see” he replied, joining her inside.

He drove out of the hospital, and when she saw he’s driving with an hand, she held the second one.

He looked at her, and she half-expected him to remove his hand like the other time, but he didn’t.

She smiled prettily, the cold morning breeze making goosebumps arise on her skin.

She started rubbing her arm with her second hand, and he stopped the car when he noticed.

He opened a ward at the back of the car and brought out a cardigan, his cardigan.

With joy, she put it on, and he resumed the drive.

This time, he’s the one who held her hand himself.

There are no cars on the road yet, and it’s still some minutes to 5.

Hazel was surprised when he drove to the sea, and she was the first to jump out of the car, unable to hide her excitement.

“I didn’t imagine you’d be coming here” she said, closing her eyes and allowing the breeze to cool her face.

“Aww… I’ve always loved the sea since I was young. Mum always brought me cos it’s the only place I could feel, because of my eyes” she said sadly.

“What really happened to your eyes?” He asked.

“Nothing, my eyes had complications from the womb cos mother didn’t take good care of herself when she was pregnant with me” she replied, facing him .

“Your dad?” He asked.

“Mum worked at a hotel with her friends back then as cleaners, and one night, they went high on the leftover alcohol from the customers. My drunk mum drunkenly entered the room of a customer and…it happened. She doesn’t even know my father ” she explained, her eyes depicting her sadness.

Kenzie kept staring.

“The hotel refused to give her his information when she asked, but one thing is for sure, I have a rich dad” she smiled, and his eyes roamed her face.

Minutes later, they were already sitting together on the shore, watching as the waved crashed and shattered.

The moon is starting to disappear in the sky, and the day will soon break.

“Dad wasn’t rich when Georgia got pregnant with me, and that made her run away from him” Kenzie suddenly said, and Hazel faced him.

“She opened a brothel and made money from sins till I was born. She almost trashed me when she found out I was a boy. Bîtch wanted a girl who’d run the brothel with her. Because of that, she brought me up as a girl, she started by giving me a female name McKenzie… fûck” he muttered.

He stopped there, and Hazel held his hand again.

He looked at her, and she gave him a reassuring smile.

“That night, the brothel caught fire cos a customer was careless with his cigar butt. Everyone ran out for their lives, but Georgia left me. I passed out cos of the smokes, and it was still Prada who dragged me out with it’s teeth before the brothel blew up completely” he explained, and Hazel held his face.

“When I woke up at the hospital, I found dad beside me already. He found me, and I heard Georgia is in a critical condition cos when she was running out of the brothel, she got into an accident right in front of it. She sustained a head injury and lost her sanity since then” he said, and Hazel went on her knees between his legs.

She hugged him tight, and he immediately hugged her back.

“I’m a bîtch for calling you the son of a madwoman, a total bîtch… I’m so sorry” she cried hotly, and he smiled, stroking her hair.

“Are you seriously crying for me right now, sweetheart?” He said, but she only cried more.

“Georgia is a cow” she hiccuped sorrowfully, and he broke the hug to wipe her tears with his thumb pads.

“Natty and the guys didn’t cry this much when I told them” he said, but she still continued crying.

He smiled and pulled her into another hug.

The day already broke, and the sunlight is peeping out slowly from under the clouds already.

Her tears didn’t stop easily, he had to start petting her before she could stop, then he brought her to sit between his legs, closing them on her and placing her head to his chest.

“Stop the tears, evergreen” he told her, and she closed her eyes, snuggling closer.

The sun finally rose right in front of them, and she peered at it through her lashes, the beauty radiating effortlessly in the water.

“It’s beautiful” she whispered.

“You’re more” he replied, and she looked at him with a big smile.

“Do you want to have breakfast here?” He asked.

“Seriously? But we haven’t brushed” she said.

“Scratch that” he replied, getting his phone.

He ordered breakfast from the nearest restaurant he found, and within twenty minutes, it was brought on a delivery bike.

He payed and took the package, settling it down in front of them.

“But… you’ll vomit it again” she told him.

“Maybe if I eat from your hand, I wouldn’t” he replied, and she smiled.

She gave him the maraconi first, and as he ate, she ate too, from the same fork.

The two finished everything in the plates and even finished the water.

Hazel rubbed her belly.

“I think I’m pregnant with food” she said, and he chuckled as she stood.

“You should create a IG account” he said.

“I’m not a picture person” she replied, and he got his phone before standing.

“Make poses, I’ll photograph you” he said.

She immediately rushed closer to the sea.

Her hair was running after her, even her floral gown, and before she could even turn, he already snapped close to ten.

She came back to him after several snaps, and as they walked away from the sea, she was checking out the pictures and wowing.

“You’re such a good photographer, douche” she said.

“Shut up” he replied, and she laughed so hard as they got in the car.

PENNY’S PLACE*

Penny woke up early since it’s another practice day today, but she’s still lying on her bed.

She’s currently scrolling through her gallery, deleting every picture of Hazel she could find.

Hazel called her severally after she angrily left the estate last night, but she didn’t pick.

Maybe it’s finally time to unfriend her, not like she’s useful or anything,.

“No” he replied flatly.

“Still nah” he replied, and she quickly got her phone to snap his side profile as he stepped out of the car.

“This is better than nothing” she muttered as she stared at it

Kenzie looked at her in the car and smiled before stepping into the mansion.

“Whoa!!!!” Natty and Eminem screamed immediately.

Miguel kept quiet.

“That was Hazel on your IG post, isn’t it?” Natty winked.

“I still can’t believe this is you, man! Captain is hooked! Just one month in New York and she got you like this? Hazel is my role model from now on” Eminem said.

“Silly, but Ken if this is one of your games then you’re taking it too far” Natty said.

Natty’s laughter doubled

“Hello here!” Hope came in, and Miguel went upstairs immediately.

“Why is he always leaving anytime I arrive? Does he hate me?” Hope muttered.

“Miguel is actually boring, don’t mind him” Natty replied, and at the same time, Lee came in.

“Breakfast is ready, dad said he wants y’all to come have it at the main mansion” he announced.

“Cool, go call Ken and Miguel” Eminem replied, and Lee rushed upstairs.
