Julia was busy drinking her smoothie with her straw but when she felt eyes on her, she stopped eating and gave them a questioning look.
“What happened to you Julia?” Kaelyn asked.
“What do you mean? I’m fine” Julia simply replied and continued to eat.
“I saw your dad proposed to Jake’s mom openly at deli dine so they are serious about their wedding” Aime said.
Kaelyn’s eyes widened. “Julia’s dad is marrying Jake’s mom? And I thought Julia and Jake are dating” Kaelyn exclaimed.
“Shh don’t let people hear that” Julia mumbled and Kaelyn did a dramatic zipper close sign with her hands on her lips.
“So what is going to happen to you and Jake now?” Aime asked.
“I broke things off with him yesterday. I don’t wanna hurt my dad” Julia replied sadly.
“But what about your feelings?” Kaelyn asked.
“I’m still young and I can find someone else if I want, I mean I’ve always done this and I can do it again and besides Jake is also young and there are lots of pretty girls in New York so just let my dad be” Julia was paranoid.
“Calm down, we are not asking you to betray your dad. We just wanted to make sure you’re okay with whatever decision you’re making” Aime said softly.
“I’m fine” Julia forced a smile.
“Well Kelvin has been courting me” Kaelyn announced.
“What?” Aime asked confusedly.
“Courting, in the Philippines it’s certain things you would do to win a girl’s heart” She explained.
“You’re a Filipino?” Julia creased her brows as she asked.
“Half Filipino and half America but my dad is used to some Filipino traditions he learnt when he was courting my mom so Kelvin is making those efforts” Kaelyn replied.
“Have you said yes to him already? He’s super crazy about you” Aime said.
“I’m taking my time as I take every relationship seriously. I don’t want to get into something I would try to run away from” Kaelyn responded.
“What’s the delay with Kelvin, he’s the best guy” Julia piped in.
“If you think so then why did you leave him?” Aime fired back at her.
“Because the problem wasn’t Kelvin, it was just me” Julia replied.
“Guys that’s enough. Everyone knows what they want, Julia didn’t want Kelvin and Kaelyn is taking her time so we can move on” Aime cut them off.
“How are you and Bryan anyways? How was the date with his mother?” Julia asked and Kaelyn nodded as she seemed interested in the conversation.
“Well it’s all good between us. His mother was so nice and I like her” Aime replied with a simple shrug.
“You guys should make it official already” Julia rolled her eyes.
“I want to and I know Bryan wants to also but he seems to be struggling with something and I don’t want to pressure him” Aime replied with a simple smile.
“I’m glad you’re both having a good time” Julia smiled and tried to be happy for her friends while she forgets about Jake.

KINESIOLOGY DEPARTMENT ••
Kaelyn had finished having lunch she came to her locker to take her books but was surprised to meet a giant flowers. She slowly took it out with a smile, Kelvin brings flowers for her but never this big.
He left a note too and she took it.

She smiled when she saw Kelvin coming at her but Kelvin was frowning.
“Thank you for the flowers” She smiled brightly and stare at the smaller flower he was holding. “You even got another one” She smiled widely.
“No I don’t know where that flower you’re holding came from” Kelvin frowned even more.
“Huh?” Kaelyn stared at the flower. “You mean these are not yours? Then who is it for?” She looked confused.
“I’m glad you liked them” A familiar voice sounded and Kelvin and Kaelyn looked forward to see Rico coming with his usual friends that follows him around aimlessly.
“You got them?” Kaelyn eyes widened.
“You like them?” Rico ignored Kelvin’s existence as he focused on kaelyn’s reply and reaction.
Kelvin immediately snatched the flowers from Kaelyn and threw on the floor then stepped on it countless of times.
“What was that for?” Rico demanded.
“Stay away from my girl” Kelvin said angrily.
Rico snorted. “Your girl? You two aren’t together yet and I heard her talking about courting. I have every right to court a single lady and I would and you can’t do anything about it” He gave Kelvin a daring look.
“Oh really?” Kelvin tried moving close to Kelvin but Kaelyn grabbed him back.
“He’s not worth it Kelvin, let’s go” She said gently.
Kelvin gave Rico one more warning look. “Stay away from her and anytime you get her a flower always remember that she could have been yours but you threw her away. Once an opportunity is lost it can never be retrieved” He spoke to Rico with a straight face, his voice weighed with gravity.
Rico would try to deny it but it really entered him and he couldn’t think of a good response.
“Let’s go” Kaelyn softly pulled Kelvin from Rico’s sight. She glanced at Rico and he could see the little pain in her eyes but she pulled Kelvin and they were both out of sight.
“That bitch is really ungrateful and she ain’t all that” Jay, one of Rico’s friends said.
“I don’t understand what is it about her. If you’re trying to compete with Kelvin then just forget it” Another one called Raymond joined in.
Rico angrily looked at him. “Are you implying that I’m a loser?”
“We are just saying that there are other beautiful girls you can associate yourself with and Kaelyn is not your standard. Don’t you think it’s embarrassing that things goes from her writing love letters to you at your locker till you sending her flowers and chasing after her while she doesn’t care. Where’s your ego men?” Jay gave him a disappointing look.
“If by chance you end up with her, you’re risking your reputation and everything about you like what Kelvin is doing. Do you want that man, come on” Raymond added.
Rico only shook his head and stepped back before walking away.
“Rico” Jay called but Rico didn’t respond or turned back as left completely.
“Just leave him men, he’s toast” Raymond rubbed Jay shoulders.
“Honestly don’t see what’s so special about her” Jay mumbled as he looked at the wasted flowers hatefully.

ZAYN’S APARTMENT•••
They were all having dinner when the maids came to announce someone is looking for them.
“Who?” Zayn asked.
“I think it’s best you see for yourself” The maid replied.
“Let them in” Zayn said and the maid nodded before leaving.
After few seconds, some footsteps where heard and they all raised their head up to see who was coming in. To Jake and Martha, it was an unfamiliar woman who’s about Martha’s age and her daughter who’s about Julia’s age but to Julia and her father, they know them quite well… At least they know one of them quite very well.
“Mom?” Julia called with her eyes widened in shock.
