The guards continued walking behind her, but she turned to then when she noticed.

“You guys can stay outside”

“I’m not ready to see her yet too. I dunno what I’d say to her yet. The only person I’m gonna go see is my dad in jail. No matter what, he’s still my dad. I started working at the club cos of him and I can’t just throw him away. He wasn’t even aware of the exchange” Lovelyn replied, and Chloe held her hands.

“You’re strong, I envy you miss Lovelyn Kim” she said, and Lovelyn smiled.

“And about Richie…” Hwasa said.

“I’m meeting him today, by all means. I’ll find him” Lovelyn replied cheerfully, and Bernie entered the class immediately.

Lovelyn stood, and he smiled shortly.

“Bernie?”

Three minutes later, they were already at the rooftop together, sitting on the same bench.

“How did it happen? With the cops” she asked.

“I’m wanted because I kidnapped you, but since your innocence got proved already, my punishment lowered. I’m grounded for two weeks and I’m only allowed to come to school for those two weeks. For shooting the cop, mum settled it though I dunno how she did it” he replied, and she smiled.

“I’m glad you’re back. I wouldn’t be here today if you’ve not been a part of everything” she said, and he faced her.

“I’ll forever be grateful, Bernie. Forever, and I mean it” she said, and he smiled sadly, both still staring as the morning air blew her hair beautifully.

THE FABULOUS LOUNGE*

Chloe was tiptoeing as she came in, and she’s hiding something behind herself, looking around like a thief as she took each step stealthily.

She was on the sixth step when Savage appeared and suddenly hugged her from behind, making her squeal.

“You can’t be sneaky around me. You always get caught” he laughed, and she faced him, laughing so hard too.

“You’re always like this. Can’t you pretend for once and allow me to catch you?”

“Nah, I won’t give you that prize” he replied, and she laughed again, but she was interrupted by his kiss which landed on her lips.

“Mmm” she made a funny cute sound as he broke it, their lips popping softly.

“What?” He whispered, and she smiled.

“You…. you’re not… planning to…do anything silly in here… right?” She asked, and he got serious.

“What if I plan to?”

“Then take this first” she replied, exposing what’s in her hand.

It’s a small box.

“What’s this?” He asked with a cute smile, opening it to see an expensive wristwatch.

He was walking down the hallway when he sighted Mira going down the stairs.

“Hey Mira!” He made to go after her, and his legs hit on each other. His sneakers collided, and he fell hard.

“F**k!” He groaned, holding his hurting elbow. It definitely got wounded.

He was still rolling on the tiled ground when an hand stretched to him, and he blinked when he saw it’s Mira.

He grabbed her hand, and she helped him up.

Minutes later, he was already sitting under a tree in the school compound while Mira sat beside him.

His right sleeve is up, revealing his wounded elbow, and she’s currently applying ointment on it with a cotton bud while blowing air from her mouth to it.

“Why did you fall that heavily when you’re not a kid?” She muttered.

“I wanted to…” He said, and she looked up, dropping the bud.

“To what?”

“I wanted to run after you when I saw you going down the stairs” he said guiltily.

“Why?”

“I did you bad, and I wanted to apologise” he replied, and she blinked once, looking away from him.

“I’m sorry for what I did during your blind dates. It was senseless, and…

“And why did you do it?” She cut him off.

“Maybe because I don’t want other guys to see how awesome you are” he replied.

“Awesome indeed… I almost killed Chloe” she scoffed.

“You shouldn’t hate yourself cos of that” he replied.

“Then you suggest I shine my teeth around like nothing happened? Chloe hates me like she should. I can’t even talk when she’s talking for the fear of getting shunned, and do you know how hard it is to mingle with her without talking to her? The guilt is killing me and I cry anytime I’m alone in my room at home” she sniffed, and tears came out of her orbs.

She started skipping, and Vista stood.

He pulled her up too, engulfing her in his arms.

“It’ll be fine” he whispered, but she only cried harder, hiding her face in his neck as her tears wet his uniform.
