She held the padlock too, and Richie snapped their hands on it before they both stood, then he saw Reno beside them, holding a red cake.
“A cake?’ he faced her.
“I wasn’t with you when you celebrated your 19th, so here’s mine” she smiled, taking the cake from Reno.
“Blow out the candles, baby” she said, and he looked into her eyes before blowing the 19 candles.
“Happy 19 birthday in arrears, father of my baby” she said, and he held her face delicately.
“I love you, you’re so sweet” he said, and she smiled.
“I love you more, world best choice” she replied, and he kissed her lips softly.
Their eyes went shut as they kissed affectionately, and fireworks began cracking in the sky.
Lovelyn slipped a car key secretly into his pocket, hardening the kiss while her arms went to his neck to wrap gently.
