President Jameson narrowed his eyes as he stared at her.
“Son, who’s she?” President Jameson asked as he stared at Gwen from the phone screen.
Gwen heart skipped beats when her gaze came in contact with the one and only president.
She was scared but was more of what Dominic’s reply would be.
Dominic slowly looked at Gwen before looking at his father and shutting his eyes for some seconds.
“She’s the cleaner” he replied and Gwen’s face fell.
“Oh” president Jameson said like he didn’t believe but Dominic immediately changed the topic.
“I’m about going for lectures dad, I’ll call you back later, see you!” He waved at the screen then ended the call.
There was some awkward silent for a moment before Dominic slowly faced Gwen.
She was frowning but she forced herself to smile, he could see from the smile that she was hurt.

“I understand” Gwen muttered and Dominic stood up from the couch and walked towards her.
He held her waist hugged her closer to himself.

This time around, most people were dressed in expensive suit, sitting and chatting among themselves.
The door opened and Dante stepped in, with Naomi trolling behind him, he was also dressed in an expensive suit while Naomi was dressed in a cooperate way.
“Dante Kruz” Dante stopped when he heard someone called his name.
He turned back to see a familiar man of a middle aged and he looked surprised.
“I’m surprised to see you here, you’ve grown quite well, it’s been such a while” he said with a smile.
Naomi slowly looked at Dante and she noticed he was not looking too good.
“Let’s go, if you’re not comfortable” she moved closer to him and whispered.
The man eyes went to Naomi.
“And who’s this pretty lady over here?” He asked.
Naomi looked at Dante and Dante turned around and left, she immediately followed him and they found somewhere to sit.
“You still haven’t told me why we are here, I feel left out” she said as she sat beside him.
“Well I’ve been playing on the basketball tournament for years and I’ve been struggling to win first place, It’s something my father has always wanted when he was still alive” he muttered.
“Your father is dead?” Naomi gasped lightly.
“Plane crash, he was going to come receive his award for the first time in his life when he was suddenly gone, forever” he said sadly.
“I’m sorry about that” she muttered.
“It’s fine and besides it’s in the past, I promised to win one for my father but sadly I never got a chance, it was always him and he’s finally away for a while I took the opportunity and hope I can finally hold that trophy for that” he said.
“You will hold the trophy, I believe in you and your hard work” she smiled at him.
Dante stared at her for a while before smiling too.
Some minutes later, a man dressed in a neat suit came to stand in front of the stage.
“Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, it’s finally time to see who will be the new national winner of the year” he said in his mic.
Dante felt nervous, Naomi noticed held his hands and rubbed it and he looked at her.
“What are you doing?” He blinked.
“Trying to calm your nerves” she replied and Dante stared at her hands on his before slowly facing front.
“So the national winner of the year is… This is really surprising, so the national winner is none other than Bruno Kingman!!” He announced and Dante’s eyes widened.
Bruno? Wasn’t he in the hospital? How did he…
Naomi pressed his hands a bit more tighter and a guy of Dante’s age, dressed in an expensive suit and a smug look on his face suddenly climbed up stage.
People began clapping for him while some were confused.

Dante came out of his car and stormed in, the taxi stopped from behind and Naomi came out too, she rushed in and went to his room only to meet him trashing everything angrily.
“Dante” she wanted to move to him but the vase he threw made her move back.
“Don’t come closer” he said in a well controlled voice.
“Calm down Dante, I know you’re angry” she said calmly.
“Yes I’m angry, I’ve been calm for years but nothing is always working out for me, what am I supposed to do! Huh!??” He yelled out.
Naomi moved closer to him but he pushed her back.
“I said leave! Go away and don’t see me like this!!” He yelled.
She fell on the floor due to the push and sat there for a while before standing up.
“As you wish then” she said and began leaving but Dante went after her and immediately hugged her from behind.
“Sorry” he said gently and hugged her even more tighter.
“I’m so sorry” he whispered again.
Naomi slowly turned to face him, she cupped his cheeks and wiped the little tears that were in his eyes.
“Look at me” she said and he looked at her.
“All these are not the end, this is not over, the trophy is yours and you’re not giving up yet” she said to him and signalled him to nod which he did.
“Repeat after me and say it’s not over yet” she said again.
“It’s not over” he muttered.
“Good” she smiled and he hugged her immediately.
She hugged him back and patted his back gently.

Erica stepped in with Xavier with the same frown on her face.
“Why did you bring me here?” She asked looking somewhat angry.
“Do have fun, the amusement park is that best place to have fun” Xavier replied with a smile.
“So what fun, do you assume we have with all this baby rides?” Erica rolled her eyes.
“It’s not baby rides, I can bet with you that you can’t last ten seconds in any rides here without screaming” he said.

“And if you fail?” She asked with one of her brows raised.
“You will kiss me” he replied and Erica chuckled before nodding.
“Deal” she said.
“You agreed?” Xavier looked surprised but smiled afterwards.
“I’m glad you do! Now there is no going back!” He said and Erica nodded.
They were to purchase tickets for four rides.
