“I saw you screaming, are you okay?” Erica who just came out of the lecture room asked.
Gwen shook her head negatively.
“I’m not, my mom just called me, Naomi is in the hospital” Gwen replied.
“Naomi is where? Is she okay?” Dominic who was also coming out of the lecture room asked.
“Naomi is fine, but her father isn’t, I heard he got stabbed” Gwen replied, close to tears already.
“That’s bad, which hospital is that? We should go see her” he said and Gwen nodded.

Naomi was sitting and looking at her father’s face in tears.
“I thought you and Mom were just having some normal arguments but why did you allow it to turn to this?” She said softly and cleaned her tears.
The door opened immediately and Gwen stepped in.
“Uncle Doreen” she muttered when she saw him laying on the hospital bed and a tear drop fell from her eyes.
Without thinking twice, she immediately rushed over to his side.
“Uncle Doreen, what happened to you?” She cried as she touched his face.
Naomi just looked at Gwen but didn’t say anything.
“Is he okay? Have the doctor examined him? How’s he doing now?” Gwen asked worriedly.
“The doctor said he’s out of danger” Naomi muttered.
“Good, that’s good” Gwen nodded before standing up.
“I was really worried, I’m glad he’s recovering well, I’ll go wait outside” Gwen turned around to leave but Naomi stopped her.
“Gwen!” Naomi called and Gwen turned to look at her.
Before Gwen could even say or do anything, Naomi moved closer to her and hugged her immediately.
“I’m so sorry Gwen, I’m sorry for everything I’ve done, I’m such a stupid and bad friend” she cried.
Gwen slowly hugged her back then rubbed on her hair.
“You’re not stΓΉpid and you’re not bad either” she said.
“No I really am, I should have understood you but I pushed you away and blamed you for everything” Naomi sniffed and pulled away.
“Actually the truth is I was really jealous of you, I envied your life so much, you were so perfect, smart, stayed in a good room with cool roommate, have a perfect family and really pretty, I felt like you were taking everything I wanted sometimes, you were always smiling happily like you’re not going through any problems but me, my family is garbage” she muttered and a tear fell from her eyes.
Gwen helped Naomi to clean her tears.
“I just felt like everyone likes you so much, I wanted you to feel what I was feeling, I was so miserable and I wanted you to feel it too that’s why I did those bad things to you, something I will always regret” Naomi bit her lips hardly.
Gwen smiled and cupped Naomi’s cheeks.
“Naomi I’m glad you told me all these things, I forgive you. Yes I agree that what you did was bad but no one is above mistakes and the most important thing is realizing and repenting from them” she said softly.
“I wish I can be like you Gwen, genuinely pretty, kind hearted, perfect…” Naomi was talking but Gwen placed her forefinger on her lips.
“If there’s one thing I know then it’s never compare yourself with anyone, we are all different in our ways. You’re kind hearted too Naomi, you’re unique and genuinely pretty, have you seen the way you look like when you sleep, and your eyes even your skin” Gwen said and Naomi laughed.
“Don’t flatter me” she said feeling a little embarrassed.
Gwen laughed shortly too before sighing sadly.
“I’m not perfect either, I know you liked Dominic and yet I was not only secretly attracted to him and jealous, I was really jealous each time I see you talking about him, each time I see the both of you together and when he kissed you at the party” she pressed her lips together and sighed again.
“I know I was really better than that and nothing will ever justify what I did Naomi” Gwen completed.
“No one is above falling in love too and besides I was never in a relationship with him but I liked him and didn’t realize that I put him first and leave you behind, if I had been by your side too then I’d actually notice things but I wasn’t” Naomi muttered.
“I love you Naomi, let’s never fight again” Gwen said with teary eyes.
“I love you too Gwen” Naomi chuckled in tears and they both hugged tightly.
Clap! Clap! Clap!
The both of them were Interrupted with some clapping sound, they pulled away and turned back to see Erica, Lucky, Xavier and his roommate clapping.
“Most touching scene I’ve ever witnessed in my entire life” Xavier faked a tears and did as if he wanted to hug Erica but Erica dodged him and he nearly tripped on himself.
“We should throw a little party for the most awaited day, # Naomi and Gwen finally getting back together!” Lucky clapped happily.
“Yes and before that” Erica brought out her phone and took a picture of the both of them.
While everyone were talking and laughing, Dominic was the quiet one, his hands were just in his pocket as he stared before he decided to speak up.
“Mind if I talk to Naomi alone” he suddenly said.
Everyone turned to look at him but he had a serious look wearing on his face.
“Let’s give them some space” Erica said and left.
Xavier left, Lucky too and Edward went after her then Jace.
Gwen nodded at Naomi, she looked at Dominic too and nodded before leaving them alone.
“Let’s go out of the ward so we won’t disturb your dad” he said and Naomi nodded before stepped out with him.
There was silent for a while before Dominic turned to look at her.
“I’m not really good at apology but I’m really sorry for breaking your heart” he started.
Naomi only twitched her lips as she looked at nothing in front of her.
“I should have just told you earlier that I liked your friend Gwen but me liking your friend doesn’t mean I don’t wanna be close to you, I know we spent some time together and you might be thinking I had everything all planned up but the truth is I didn’t, you were the first girl I talked too and was close to and I really respected that, those times I fought for you wasn’t to make anyone jealous but because you’re my friend..”
“I get it!” Naomi cut him off.
“The more you keep calling me your friend, the more sad I get” she muttered afterwards.
“Sorry,if there’s anything I could do to take back what I did to get your hopes up then I will because honestly I don’t really know what to do, I don’t want to lose you as a friend as well” he said softly.
Naomi turned to face him.
“You’re a really handsome guy Dominic and it’s hard for some girls not to crush on you, yes I liked you but that doesn’t stop you from liking who you want, even if it’s my friend and besides I can’t force what isn’t there or I might end up like my parents” she muttered sadly.
“I’m-
“Say you’re sorry one more time and I’ll make sure you join my dad in that hospital bed!” She cut him off and he covered his mouth immediately.
She smiled later on.
“Just like Gwen said no one is above mistakes so I forgive you” she said.
“Really?” Dominic replied.
“Yes! If you like Gwen then you have my full support to go after her, I won’t come in between you guys” she added.
“Are you sure?” He asked slowly as he gave her a serious stare.
“Yes! I promise” she nodded with a smile.
“Thank you!!” Dominic smiled and happily hugged her but it only lasted for some few seconds.
“I promise to treat your friend well and you’re a really sweet person Naomi with good sense of humor I guess it was destiny that says I can’t reciprocate your feelings but that one guy will be really lucky to have you in his life” he said and Naomi just smiled.
