Baldwin’s Penthouse, New Orleans – 8:07pm<<
“Fûck!” Duncan moaned as his hands massaged my breasts, while he thrusted deeper in me.
My body shook from so much pleasure, I shut my eyes and threw my head back, and my grip on the sheets tightened.

I turned around, and faced him.
“Some of my stuffs are still in his house, I need to go back to get them, and I’ll just tell him about… ”

“My heartbeat” he held my face in his hands. “He has no right to know anything about you, and… ” he trailed off.
He shut his eyes and massaged his temples softly, then inhaled deeply.

“You can go, but you will stop contacting him after tomorrow, deal?”
I nodded quickly because his words are reasonable. I pecked his cheek, and gave him a tight hug.

“I’m leaving” I informed Duncan as I heard towards the door.
“Hm” he simply hummed in reply.
He pulled the blanket over his face, and continued sleeping. I sighed softly and headed out.

THIRD PERSON’S pov.
Mr Baldwin stood by the window, and watched as his wife boarded a cab and left in a hurry. He clenched his jaw, balled his fist and glared maliciously at the cab as it drove out of sight.
“Mr Baldwin” Lucas called as he entered the living room, and walked towards Mr Baldwin.
“What did you find?” Mr Baldwin asked without turning to face him.
“Just like you suspected, Asher is a member of the Russian Mafia gang, and he’s simply using his lawyer’s qualification as a cover”
“Bloody hell!” Mr Baldwin cursed loudly and clenched his jaws tighter. “My family is headed to his home!” he gritted out. “Does his brother know about this side of him?”
“No, sir” Lucas answered. “He’s been keeping it a secret from his family”
“My wife hate lies the most” Mr Baldwin smirked. “I wonder what would be her reaction if she finds out about this side Asher’s keeping a secret”
His eyes narrowed in anger as he continued glaring at the direction the cab his wife boarded, had headed. He could feel anger pumping through his veins, but he tried to remain calm because acting rashly might put his wife and unborn child in greater danger.
“Lucas”
“Sir?”
“Quick, inform Fatima to get her men ready, and they should secretly follow my wife” he faced Lucas and looked him straight in the eyes. “My family must be safe and sound!”
“Yes, sir” Lucas answered and started typing on his phone immediately.
“Then, contact the Russian Mafia lord”
Lucas paused, and raised his head as he looked at his boss with a surprised expression.
“You wanna declare war against them?!”
Mr Baldwin’s eyebrows furrowed slightly, he wondered what’s going on in Lucas’s head.
“Sir, it hasn’t gotten that, we can’t declare war against them and make them our enemy, simply because a member of their Mafia group offended us, we can… ” he trailed off.
“Hm?” Mr Baldwin urged him to continue.
“We can just handle him privately”
Mr Baldwin shook his head.
“Just shut up and contact their lord” he said. “I wanna take permission to kill that b@stard if he tries anything with my wife, or even think of hurting my son!”
“Oh”
“Yeah, oh!” Mr Baldwin mocked him. “Now get on with it!”
“Yes, sir!” Lucas replied, and rushed out.
Mr Baldwin turned around and continued glaring daggers at the road, as though it has offended him.
“I really wanna bring that motherfuçker to his end!” he growled to himself.

RACHEL’S pov.
“We’re here, Miss” the cab driver informed me.
“Oh, thank you”
I quickly paid him and alighted his cab, then rushed towards Asher’s porch. I searched for my key inside my handbag, but frowned when I couldn’t find it, then I remembered I didn’t take it with me yesterday.
Hold on, Asher might still be at home since today’s saturday.
That’s when I started ringing the doorbell, and eventually the door flung open after a few rings.
“Hi, Ash…” my words were left unfinished when I saw Asher’s face.
He has heavy bags under his eyes, his hair was disheveled and all over the place as though he’s been running his fingers through it, and he looked totally different from the last time I saw him -which was two days ago.
“Asher, what happened to you?” I asked as I pushed him aside, and entered his house.
He shut the door and followed me to the living room.
But my steps faltered upon seeing cigarettes and empty bottles of beer scattered on the table, it’s as if he’s going through a heartbreak.
“What the heck is going on here?” I asked him.
I turned around to face him, only to be pulled into a tight hug, and I felt my stomach churned as the smell of cigarettes and alcohol hit me.
“Don’t.. don’t.. don’t…” was all he was muttering.
“Don’t what?” I asked, but got no response.
